Artist Henri Matisse
wrote a learned treatise
Also many a model he did depict
maidens it seems all hand picked

Matisse

The flowers are not alone,
Their souls belong to the bees,
they belong to butterflies,
belong to God,
Above all, don’t pick them,
Because as soon as they die,
Except in a blue and yellow vase
Painted by Matisse.

Klee set the art world free
in his Once emerged from the grey of night' poetry

Unifying colour & words
An idea never previously heard
An experimental start
With his posey picture art-

Matisse
   brushed
no more..
                scissors
                paper
                glue
the
          colour
          cut-outs
 littered
the floor
     with
         shapes
              anew
so blue

so blue
 of
    osmosis mode
maquettes
   & abstracts
shapely
but
    stark

Once emerged from the grey of night.

Vibrant Matisse Vase

Firm,
Green vase,
With the curves,
Of a lovely woman,

Within,
You caress,
Tender,
Sweet,
Vibrancies,
Of,
Flowers,

That gaze,
Like dream,
Upon,
The mediterranean,
Shore,

Like an exotic woman,
Embraces,
Her love,
Her tears and laughter,
With bright lemons,
By her hem

MATISSE MAIDENS
Maidens..so many.
Marguerite
dressed so neat
 Laurette and
Lorette so sad, so sweet.
The upstairs maid with Greta Moll
his still life doll.
Odalisques
curves and shapes,
 in colour and drapes.
Chapeaux and Chevelure
with locks astray.
A sister or two,and a wife,
 green with envy,
to paint
     and portray

my
eye was
attracted
to the Blue nude*
by the intensity of colour-
the
image
triggering
stark sensations
drawn by the simple abstract shape.
