She was known in the USA as a mysterious femme fatale.
She played several rolls as a cabaret singer.
German’s Nazi party offered her a lucrative contract.
They wanted her to return to Berlin and star in Nazi productions.
Marlene refused their offer and began selling war bonds.
Her $450,000 salary went into escrow to help Jews and dissidents escape Europe.
She was vocal about her beliefs, standing up for integrity.
She knew what was happening in Europe was wrong.
Few women are as brave, vocal or beautiful as Marlene Dietrich.
Many owe their ancestors’ lives to her.
What a handsome actor you are,
You have very beautiful eyes.
Your slim good-looking stature,
The many roles you caressed with excellence.
The leading women that were blessed to act with you,
I wished to be an actress at one time.
Happily married with children,
How nice to see you act on screen.
And to become one of the great performers of the century,
I would wish to be the Marlene Dietrich of your life.
Just discovered you one day,
The magic of acting exists.
God blesses us with good role models,
I wish I could stand in line for your autograph and shake your strong hands.
I like you in your cowboy suit and hat,

The Nutella in my pantry is stacked next to the gin.
I'll let you walk me homeward, though you are a rogue,
but hands off my Nutella, or I'll kick you in the shin.
Lola, Lola! the boys l know who I am.
You can take my marmalade, if that is what you seek.
I.m not one to be petty, so take my strawberry jam,
but fingers off Nutella, or it's hospital all week/
Went for a walk in the sunlight it had been raining
for days and the grass between the olive trees was
absurdly emerald and the aroma of virginal nature
intoxicating.
I have to remember to take a camera with me when
going out so much beauty around me
I want to record and remember it having spent weeks
in hospitals, the only beauty I saw were plain nurses
and a couple of female doctors with legs like
Marlene Dietrich but they are human and can change
manner, but they will never be virgins again.
Of course they, like me get older every year and do not
rejuvenate every spring even though, we tend to let
the mirror tells lies. Let that be for now I saw grey stone
horses afar a sight a camera cannot catch.
