Marching Band Poems - Poems about Marching Band

Premium MemberThe Marching Band

As
The
Band marched
In the big
Parade, music played.
Trombones, drums. piccolo and flutes
Filled the air with happy song as they marched right along.
Marvelous music put everyone in a cheery mood and filled every heart with song.

Man In the Marching Band

Here’s the man in the marching band
Fiddlin with sticks on his petty hands
Marching, marching round the street
In the middle of the glazing blazing heat.

Here’s the man in the marching band
Here’s the man. He’s in command
With a little syncopation & intonation
Here’s the man in the marching band

Here’s the man in the marching band
Here’s the man when

Premium MemberLike Violins In a Marching Band

I hear them on the television,
like I have a choice,
that's flat-out all they show these days:
Politicians
with their elucidations
tangled as Grandma's yarn.
Honest Joe, explicating why I'm beggared;
"It's your own fault, my good friends,
frankly, we need bold solutions"
they boom;
then hike the price of gas.
And the voices of we, the people;
lost
like violins in a marching band.

Little Heidel clapped her hands
As she heard the marching bands

Marching Band

Military men are made with ordinary plans
Built from the ground up to take instructions
Every corpuscle of the corporal to General
Created with truth, justice and two legs
(That is the American way)

Army bands are made to play
Musical instruments for sound
With white gloves waving high
Pointing out in your direction

A young boy leads them left
Down an alley

Open ended streams of love grandeur facade never denying

*Inspired by the photo

The light of hope swirls in the sky
As clouds form pictures to the eye
As if no distance is too far
It is all around, where we are
Quiet peace of a golden meadow
Where inspiration finds its flow
To rise with the sun above all
Burdens carried that now may fall
Off our shoulders with creation
Sharing with others

The Marching Band Played John Philip Sousa

The marching band played John Philip Sousa

My daddy held my hand

Lining the streets elbows to my head

My daddy put me on his shoulders, where I could stand

~

The marching marines stopped in front of us

And in synchrony stomped boots our way

The men sang in perfect harmony

Daddy crossed his heart that day

~

And over head, as the men

"Marching Band"
Dapper dilettantes take over one hundred yards
Showing their feathers like a cockatoo on pointy shakos
Displaying their talents on grass they are anything but green

Ready to give resplendent resonance through beasts of golden brass
Popping percussive drumming getting drilled into them by a sergeant
Time and time again by so many rehearsals they know

Almost four-o-clock in the afternoon
and not a single tambourine in sight

you should have jumped over the moon
hours ago, until

secret alien creatures on the surface
said the autopsy was inconclusive

which explains for me why

icicles drip from your heart, as the sun
warms the memory of your embrace, like

moonflowers, gently unfolding at night
reveal the mysteries of love

the

Marching Band Mom

I'm a marching band mom,
I'm very proud of it,
Brass, woodwinds, drummers, and pit.

Counting steps to find their spots,
Keeping time with doctor beat,
Forwards and backwards with their feet.

Learning new sets everyday,
Marking spots with sidewalk chalk,
Helping each other with a talk.

Adding music as they go,
Coordinating timing,
Keep up the playing and marching.

Mastering notes that help playing the tunes,
Mastering
