Still Life * a genre of Nicolas Maes
on below stairs utensils did gaze
He loved using ciarosuro
so in soft focus ever did glow

'Twixt the trees of Maes-y-Deri
Flies a winsome little fairy
Searching for the happy sounds
Which once filled the Griffiths' grounds
Winter, springtime, summer, fall
She flies above the grasses tall
Sprinkling teardrops where she flew
To mark her paths with morning dew
She flies alone throughout the years
And never stops to dry her tears
Lest she should miss upon the hill
Her long lost playmate, Little Jill
Dia das mães
Mãe
Para algumas pessoas
és o lírio,
para outras pessoas
és a vida e a luz dos olhos
sempre mãe.
Quando, alta noite,
alguém se reclina e deita,
melancólica, triste e fatigada,
uma mãe abre as asas no leito,
e o sono desliza perfumado.
Mãe,
que sempre chovam bênçãos de Deus
para cada mãe do presente
e mãe do futuro!
Mãe.
Que a beleza das flores,
e o brilho das estrelas,
cerquem você hoje e sempre.
