Premium Member Life Is A Song

As a westerly wind blows the broom sage
Whipping a tune as variable as life
Somedays its "Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song"
Then other days, "Islands In The Stream"

Maybe today it will be, "You Picked A Fine Time To Leave Me Lucile"
Then tomorrow, "We're Getting Married In The Morning"
A month or two later, "I'm Going To Jackson"
If life lets two stay together, at the end, sing "I'll Stroll Over Heaven with You"

Singing in life, lets our moods come out
So, life is a song even if you can't carry a tune
"Sing Them Over Again To Me, Those Wonderful Words Of Life"
" Let me more of their beauty see, those wonderful words of life."

Premium Member Par For the Course

My sister Lucile sold her acoustic guitar
To buy a hot motor scooter with a sidecar
Her bad luck, they soon separated
On which she hadn’t calculated
But I said, “For her that’s definitely a par!”

Premium Member So So and So

I am so George Carlin, I am so Carol Burnet.
I am so Lenny Bruce, I am so Lucile Ball Arnaz.
I have a question for all of you So Everybody Else.
Why can't you be So You absolutely unique to yourself"?
I would never say, "I am So So and So."
I might say, "I aspire to go further than So and So had a chance to go."
There is nothing wrong with admiring and being inspired by somebody,
but when you assimilate them to the point where you lose your identity,
you are stagnating yourself and limiting the potential of your abilities.
Don't tell me how similar you are to somebody else.
Show me how unique and special you are with your knowledgeable wealth.
