I wept today, longing surfaced beneath my breath
deepened movement surreptitiously crept forward
until it could no more be ignored or feign sleep
suppressed light seeking harmony dared to tread
my existence worries me at times for I no not
knowing pretends at pretension, a precisely folded
hat makes believe the world is sane, is it now?
Fear tramples right paths, heart renders useless
everything is something not ever nothing
armonicas evoking spirits of the dead as if to say
sheer walls of wishful thinking, insert pause
at a loss for words, she leaves behind her hand
pressed for something, taken for remembrance
fragrance lead me here, deduction and reason
allies in my war of safety, surety, aloneness
foraging for memories, both lucid and ambiguous
pin lights allowing just enough to believe
dipping into the ocean of life, I stand on the shore
of all that was of me and all that will become
of me in all ways, in all days, resting in peace
forever more.
Season of dream haze and arctic signpost.
Chill and chap brood whose scattered offspring plummet thermal values as welcome mat for “whiskered” chimney guest awash with bounty.
Thief of sun filled days without a twinge but those universal late December days rendezvous can’t be thrust off-course.
Primal raw wind howl dissing summer’s distant memory - spotty and erratic though it was.
Deck chair, seat of toil free bliss now cold front recess blob.
Mirage or wishful thinking from a wet weather veteran.
We live in fear of reruns like Ophelia or
2010’s black ice.
Storm Force Brian, Mount Fuji on an airwave shrapnel carrier.
Dormant Loch Ness shadow’s fervent air mass plugging festive tunes.
To fuel dispatch and chimney sweep alike a sacred windfall.
For those who struggle just another inroad on an ever
shrinking pocket.
Yet this annual curtain closer has its grail and saving grace.
Dark art charmer lacing every patch for knee high boot crunch.
Architect of igloo closet ski cap.
Sleigh ride bell upon that maligned feast around our globe (Noel hark the alpine carol)!
Bizarre but only to us frostbite souls aloof from glacial beauty.
Deep freeze spirit canvass may not surface.
Christmas anthems booming over frolic footfall streets adorned by night owls.
Chaser lights that gee up gutted ghost town black spot.
Urban ice rink dome another fantasy or wonderland.
Toy shop stock n trade whose only trade is stock.
Colour coded gadget clutching every cell of window space.
Fashion fodder wizards magic spark a toddler’s glee at every turn.
Boisterous strains of Santa rousing inner reindeers - the sort beloved by children down the ages.
Yuletide decor gift band holly bush spike.
Log tossed on fire, kindling stick incendiary, leaping flame enshrouds smokeless polish.
Punch bowl nasal spice so aptly named rum do!
Skim milk skyline flaunts its snow fleck jewellery aloft.
Stars of astral compass spread their twinkle dash on human garlands.
Winter’s stepwise edging in a whirl plume of slush.
Christmas well and truly has arrived
like all December Days.
A blessing from the Divine

Lest I upset you
I'd rather walk away from this
I have no attachment to anyone or anything
I'm in flow with the Universe
No ego wrapped up in these moments
No wishful thinking about energy or time
I want a normal life but accept
I'm a blessing from the Divine
I am my own person
And you are yours
I'm open to be corrected
But I know for damn sure
You are unlikely to move
From a fixed position
You don't yet have enough
Soul wisdom or experience
What is it about me
That pricks the demons in mortals?
Why do I have to keep rising higher
Beyond these coils and portals?
I may as well ascend
And become an angel again
Because humans have a lot to learn
And my patience is at an ebb
Lest I upset you
I'd rather move to a new place
Where I can sit at the right table
With respect and support and grace
For I am deserving
Of so much more than you can give
And I believe that we each have
Our own special path to live
It may seem like you
Can say or do anything
But in reality we all bear
Responsibility for our freedom
So you go your way
And I'll move along with mine
You live your own truth
And I'll stay at one with the Divine

Divine basically means relating to, coming from, or like God or a god.
Welcome to a brand new world
Verse 1
How are you feeling right now?
Is there still a yearning in your heart?
You're probably like, ten million or more,
praying for a brand new start
Verse 2
What happened to the world you imagined?
Where justice and peace ruled the day...
Is it merely a dream or wishful thinking,
a fantasy that leads you astray
Chorus
Welcome to a brand new world...
where evil men cannot be found
No reason to fear the nighttime,
a place where you feel safe and sound
This is not just a dream...it's reality,
joy in the heart of each boy and girl,
Welcome to a brand new world!
Verse 3
God has shown us how to love
So why is true peace elusive?
Monsters and imposters hide who they are,
they send out doves with a Judas kiss
Verse 4
It's been about two thousand years now
Praying for God's kingdom to come
Now's not the time to lose patience or faith,
it's time for God's will to be done
Chorus
Welcome to a brand new world...
where evil men cannot be found
No reason to fear the nighttime,
a place where you feel safe and sound
This is not just a dream...it's reality,
joy in the heart of each boy and girl,
Welcome to a brand new world!
Welcome to a brand new world!
Welcome to a brand new world!
Welcome to a brand new world!

The past, when past is gone,
No amount of wishful thinking will bring it back,
In life, we must move on,
No use crying over memories and flashbacks;
Life is like a flower,
It can be enjoyed as long as it is present,
For soon it will wither,
Then nothing will remain except its fading scent;
Life's like a glass tumbler,
The broken pieces cannot be joined, once shattered,
We mustn't be a grumbler,
Rather, let go of the past and live unfettered;
Life’s like river water,
Once it goes and meets the sea, it does not turn back,
Leave the past to totter,
And reach forth to the future in this fast race track;
As life new attires dons,
Let’s face it with joy and try them on with gladness,
Let bygones be bygones,
Let’s leave behind the past, regrets, and all sadness.

Inspired by Harivansh Rai Bachchan's "Jo Beet Gayi So Baat Gayi"
(a poem in Hindi, the national language of India)
For Malabika Ray Choudhury's "Inspired by a Translation" contest
Not only a single Universe is existing !
Modern Science is predicting about Multiverses
Our whole solar system holds the same position
compared to a single sand particle in Satara Desert :
I am totally confused about my identity in this vastness.
No idea, when or where or how to enter or exit .
Where are these worlds ! Onward - backward!
within Space - time boundary or beyond,
might be Spiritual realms in fourth dimension
above human perception !
My existence in this Earth is beyond my explanation.
I am born in this Earth through inevitable Evolution
and approaching Death on natural process.
I can't assess what's waiting in my 'After-Life ' phase !
I can neither assure about immortality of so-called 'Soul '
nor any knowledge about re -incarnation,
Yet I wish to believe in both.
Actually, no doubt that this belief to sprout
from wishful thinking of Humankind.
No human being can't think
of his or her complete extinction.
Each day playing with a girl with hairdresser allure
I live in a blond poem of air, near the timid azure:
Counting the legs walking in the park of my spring,
I tell you sweet nothing, to exclaim: how interesting!
So, I play with the days laughing of me, in the rye:
Leggy girls drawing a shining horizon of their thigh.
In my cradle of wishful thinking, the fugitive Albertine
Escaped from Proust, still smiles in the same scene.
In which, I really am the catcher of each invented joy.
So, I play with the sun running the long clouds convoy.
And you keep your hand on my shoulder and smile,
Like only a sunny day knows: at distance of a mile,
Far away from the young tempest jumping the rope.
Some days borrowed the perfume of Miss Hope...

Let laughter ring, for here comes Spring.
With warbling birds we gaily sing.
As wizened Winter turns and goes,
March promptly puffs her cheeks and blows!
The Old Man’s gone. . . we’re rollicking
when next comes April frolicking
behind spry March. Her visage glows.
Let laughter ring.
Then Spring a climax sweet will bring.
There at the Maypole, in a ring,
are fetching maids in pretty clothes.
And bounteous the sun now grows
as June appears; . . Spring’s had her fling.
Let laughter ring!
