When they joined sone were sixteen
In the war of 1914 to 18
They were young and gave their life
Some not even able to get a wife
They all joined for what was right
Freedom and humanity being their fight
Their basic training was not very long
Thier bayonets were at least a footlong
They were trained hard and taught how to fight
Told they would live if they got it right
But this was false and the war went on
Mustard gas and tanks came along
Over the top when that whistle blew
What layed ahead no one knew
Wire entanglements and craters smoke all around
Explosions, gunfire and shouts of help the sound
Keep moving forward as best they could
Step over the wire and the burning wood
Pinned down by the enemy by that gun
Thinking of home that this is not fun
Sat in thier foxhole looking for a way out
Rounds whizzing past hear another shout
Grenade is the call and then a large bang
Then you hear metal on metal clang
Gas is the next thing they hear shout
Quick quick pull that mask out
As the smoke goes over they lay and wait
Constantly checking on their mate
All clear all clear is now the order given
Their still here and are really driven
Back to the their trench they have to go
Stepping over bodies of friends and foe
This goes on until 1918
The eyes give away some sights they have seen
That spritely young man who went away
Not the same man who came back that day
Alas there are none of these hero's left
Families still sad and feeling bereft
Remember these men and others who follow
Without them we would have no tomorrow.
The Demon’s Curse: Hell, to Pay
Sind was a picture-perfect town built on a dark, 93-year-old secret. Deep inside the woods sat the old "Wishing Well." Tourists tossed coins into the water, unaware that far below, behind a heavy golden door, sat a demon named Marcus. For nearly a century, thirty-eight town elders and their descendants kept him locked away. They tortured him to harvest the gold trapped in the well, funding the town's luxury. Over decades of agony, Marcus whispered a rhythmic curse into the stone:
Do not steal from the wishing well spirit,
Don’t open the black door and lock me in,
For there is a curse,
For when I get out,
There will be hell to pay.
Through the years, Marcus waited patiently. He knew that the more gold the townspeople used, the deeper they were falling into hell. He just needed a single, solid soul to do the right thing. Finally, she arrived. Guided by the well, a young woman found the key and unlocked Marcus from his torment.
Free at last, Marcus surged out of the well to hunt his captors. He rounded up the descendants of the thirty-eight elders, closing the ring around them. One by one, he threw them all down into the dark, watery abyss, trapping them behind the door so they could finally pay their own way out. Blowing his flute he sent his curse
A green thingy crawled out of my clothes pile today
Went a country mile but I caught up quite okay.
I asked it what it had been doing in there.
I was smothering actually under your smelly underwear.
What the heck! I was indignant, almost shocked to my toes.
Panties were in there! I had not smelled them with my nose.
No you idiot. It was your grimy bras that did the trick.
We’re moving out because you are so dense and thick.
I was amazed to see his wife and kids leave too.
Then a crazier looking thingy left; it was an azure blue.
How many bugs were in there? I asked.
Oh crumb! One yelled. This giant ain’t masked!
An exodus such as I had never seen
Turned ugly as bugs flowed from all directions, some mean.
One bit me on the toe on his way out.
“Hope she didn’t have the virus!” one yelled with a shout.
I began to make my apologies, but it was too late.
They were outside the house, heading toward my garden gate.
“Not my vegetables!” I yelled loudly into the air.
But these were determined thingies who simply did not care.
The Psyche aye seeks an end to sling
Its filaments wide across and all around ,
To ensnare it's weird, stray prey with a fling
And there comes the ominous web, ill- bound
To stay back and grab the first victim found ;
From out of the depth of the benumbed torpor
The creeping, coiling ,ruffling ,volatile thought ,
Ever entangled in plots beneath the stupor ,
Sneaks, to find it's clumsy, uneasy way out
Seeking some flaw or fissure along the coffer .
Despite the reach and the cold vicious win
The prize fetches not the full upright feel ;
No ransack nor test for the wrong or sin ,
As success above all ,reckons a good deal
And the wildness belches over the raw meal ;
The goal reached, only incites a new hover
As the impulsive sensors grab at one and all ;
While a little morsel, a small patch ,and cover
Suffice, needless is the trade so selfishly tall
That transacts the mode of contented survival.
Death ,destruction and fall haunt fear greater ;
Desire and greed dwell in selfish pleasure ;
Thirst needs only a satiable gulp of water ;
Pelf and riches, beyond being some treasure
Cannot buy real relief or intent in any measure ;
All wild pursuits, mere Quixotic , end in vain ;
Glamour and virtual success go sans form ,
Brittle trophies and awesome ravages disdain ;
One stands not even at where one began, forlorn
As the very ground beneath the feet is torn .
Steal away the pain
I’m wrecked-up…my blood drips like rain
I want to let you know that I miss you…
Lift me high off the ground and wipe away the blue
Steal away the pain
I’m screwed-up…my hair is sopping wet…I’m waiting for it to drain
I want to let you know that I love you…
Lift me higher than the roof above our heads – don’t you get the clue?
Feel your way out of the maze
I want you to steal away the pain
Feel your way out of the maze
And don’t look back…there’s plenty of hope to gain
Steal away the pain…wipe away the blue
I have barely anymore strength to carry you…
I want to let you know that I don’t hate you…
I’ll lift you higher than heaven’s height
And erase the rue
I was running down the street being chased by reflections of me
I ran to a cliff and my body got stiff
One inch closer and I will fall I have seconds til I end it all
I called on God during my time of desperation
He is the sovereign, an all-consuming fire
My spirit is in need of a healing desire
Regrets come to me back to back
Baby steps cause my stumbling because knowledge I lack
At first, I had too much pride to ask for forgiveness
Too scared to pray because I thought nobody would listen
Not disciplined enough to carry out my own penance
Afraid of the ground giving way
Hoping I would go into pitch black before I hit
I really don’t think I’m going to make it
I have seconds to try and bargain with God for my life or to hurry up and take it
I forgive the void for chasing, hunting me down and erasing me
As I plummet deeper into the ground I can’t cry, die, or run because there’s no way out
I have seconds left to live and my time is over and out
This recently happened to me.
I didn’t recover very well from it.
I just sat there
naked,
embarrassed,
while
while my partner got dressed
and walked out on me.
She was shaking her head
in disbelief on the way out.
Here is what happened.
We are in the throes of
mad
passionate
love making.
I am twisted up like a pretzel
with my tongue here,
my fingers there,
really excited,
in fact
my
you know what
was harder
than Chinese mathematics.
I mean my tongue is doing a Spanish Tango
my fingers the Watusi
my center an African Tribal Dance
and when I say African Tribal Dance
I mean my ass
is shaking like a belly dancer
with a vibrator up her ass.
I could hear that sharp female voice
yelling like a soprano in an Italian Opera
and she’s yelling too
but with that deep voice of hers
like a banshee out of hell.
Oh no, oh no,
oh yes oh yes,
oh oh oh oh...
then suddenly
like fireworks on the fourth of July
boom...boom, boom, boom, boom...
she goes.
Then
I do it
at the peak of ******
I do it.
I really blow it.
No pun intended.
Instead of...
I mean we've all done it...
instead of saying her name
At the peak of ******
I yell out
my own name!

It can take time to find
words to fit a thought,
come together in a link
to make known what was
just a shapeless notion,
a shadow trying to free itself
from the dark. Perhaps
a childhood hurt clawing
its way out, knotted feelings
slowly unraveling into names.
A desire let loose
from an ache.
Or simply a tree growing
into its dream, once cramped
in a seed and sunk deep
under the earth, it pushes
towards the light to unfold
itself in form. Existence
written in trunk, bark, branch
and leaf. We are all trying
to find a shape to fit us,
growing into time and space,
some with certainty
others beset by doubt,
willingly or unknowingly
being pulled
towards the light.
I know I have been on repeat for 15 years
I lost all my originality when I was sick and stolen from
My guess is it poured out along with my soul and fears
chasing after my sanity as it flowed away in tears
Its hard to come up with inspiration when your on pause
trying to justify the actions of those who love you
or at the very least come up with a justified cause
one they could of chases based on misinterpreting something they saw you say
or do
But best laid plans and lost causes your once dream life was taken from you
with nothing but a barely believable story that I can only take accountability
for not being strong enough to stay in the right when they made moves to take
my light and say it wasn't true
confused in the dark is not a reasonable place to figure out culpability.
The only thing I have left in me because I shed my soul daily I dont save up
because I cant promise all good every day so let it go good or bad send it
home
and start fresh the next day but I can't shed the memory of the darkness and
the way out it stays in me like a circuit loop in a conduit.
So I can travel in the darkness to shed light on those who stay there and
hope they find hope to search for light because follow me or you when its
their fight is not the best way.
all this said and I am still not right I no I may be meant for darkness to help
others overcome.
if thats true what all the pain to keep me here
so much inner strength it takes to just find a smile and a way to help others.
heal
when all I could been is gone why is that the deal
unloved and alone for 15 years fighting a war that free others.
but dooms me to something that I cannot hate or regret only dred
Hope that i did bot deserve it that I volunteered otherwise I may die in
clovers
But surely it is hell that waits for me.
I feel so unheard I pour out words that are not great
but they would carry meaning spoken to anyone strong and meek
from ear to ear of peasants and kings
and these words will carry a truth for all who truth seek
The more you touch the soul
of this unordinary man,
still untouched by love,
the sooner I feel confident
to meet the shining eyes
of an uncommon,trustworthy friend;
and the more you give of yourself,
the quicker I'm motived by kindness
and willing to share those intimate moments
when a rainbow promises no rain...
Live inside my bloodstream,
to reach your way to a delightful dream;
touch me with confidence,I'll be
as gentle as the spring' breeze:
to strip our sad souls of all unneeded lies,
and love each other in this earthly Paradise!
The more you touch the soul
of this unordinary man,
the sooner I see a sky without clouds;
not relying on hopes and promises,
but to have the inner courage
to be in the middle of the stage...
where many are afraid to stand
and reveal everything to the silent world!
Let's bond our destinies,
and live a life without bounderies;
we trusted fate to show us
an easier way out :
with no worries,heartbreaks or tears,
but we've finally found out
that we must learn to please,
and be satisfied with little joys!
The more you touch the soul,
of this unordinary man,
the faster I become whole;
I sought worthless fortunes
in the mist of aloness...
what would I have gained,
if I had blindly followed
the shadow of my own sadness?
