Whisper Of Your Soul
(Soul Listens On A Whisper)
Murmurs soft are sensed, mimic nature, diaphanous clouds spread wide
Settle softer than a translucent butterfly on spring light snow
It is the moon flirting in ebullience, fog rising on a thin film on winds side
Lifting skirts or is it veils? Unknown in this muted light of whispers glow
Mist rolls across the bog, pulls along reluctant virgin night
By golden glow, that holds the sky in humble hush, abeyance in a trance
Tracking down the birth of morning, bursting full of light
Barely able to mutter the words, “the light of day”, the endless dance
You feel the vibrant tones, fold over meadows as you go
A vestigial tiny vessel of a virgin’s secret opens here
Chasing dark away along the marsh with pounding heart to know
The open glen is near, fills up in brilliant colors clear
Soft luscious sounds fall silent on the morning air and then
Listen, it whispers on the minutia of the moment something true
Holds on to quiet in the silent glen
Waiting on a whisper Imbued with truth, soft thoughts of you

Zephyrus' Serenade for Hyacinth
Oh precious Hyacinth, in my eyes a jewel
In front of your radiance, my knees fell
You're like a glistening pearl in a virgin shell
I am enamored by your enthralling spell
Listen everyone to Zephyrus' Serenade for Hyacinth!
Oh King of Sparta, you bear the tastiest fruit
On the land he is the handsomest youth
This is for everyone a crystal clear truth
That's why in my heart the arrows of Eros shoot
Listen everyone to Zephyrus' Serenade for Hyacinth!
Oh precious Hyacinth, you have equaled the glamour of a god
Your face is fairer than any mortal lad
Your muscles are firmer than any man had
Because of such beauty, you make me feel glad
Listen everyone to Zephyrus' Serenade for Hyacinth!
Oh King of Olympus, let me have this seductive mortal
For him my godly being turned carnal
The appeal of his flesh is oddly unusual
I want him to be mine for time eternal
Listen everyone to Zephyrus' Serenade for Hyacinth!
Oh precious Hyacinth, under my wings you'll never fall
Come to the West Wind's most desperate call
To you I'll reserve the prettiest room in my hall
The most romantic & blissful haven for all
Listen everyone to Zephyrus' Serenade for Hyacinth!
Oh deities & humans, grant me this costly man
Boreas, Notus, Eurus, bring me this heavenly Spartan
Let our powerful Anemoi bequeath him from his clan
Turn him over to the Western Wind, his greatest fan!
Listen everyone to Zephyrus' Serenade for Hyacinth!

A tree carved into the brazen edges of light
is the color of dark and cloaked with virgin snow.
Its fingers clasp an afternoon moon
in the chilled blue of the sky.
The color of the milk that squirts from the teat
every dawn, dripping frugally at the end.
Tin drops slide off these faded black branches,
melting under this sun. A yellow- tailed finch,
its wings soft as the peeling paint
of our 1800s home, grips the spectre-like arms
of the tree, its shape a yellow glare.
It is tucked into its breast.
A red berry is in its beak.
It is a ruby gleaming within the Winter's
sleepy, milled land as lush as its feathers.

saying good morning to you
a happy moment at the beach
watching you walk by
staring at your butt and admiring your natural beauty
yet and still i choose not to flirt with you
the happiness in the geometry of your vibe leads me straight down to the wedding band on your finger
i walk on with a smile on my face feeling lonely again
i make wishes to myself again and sneak another look at your wonderfully flawless body
as i watch the waves, i remind myself that life is life
i am still a virgin in a world of rapidly passing time
as the sun sets, i think about those that are my Loving Roots who are no longer here
when i look down to my right, i suddenly realize that you are next to me with tears in your eyes
for whatever reason unbeknownst to me, you take my hand and hold it for a spell
you then softly say 'moving on is like calm, warm water that is still a wish'
you then wish me a great day and walk on and eventually leave the beach, never to be seen again
for the rest of my ocean visit, what she said stuck with me like a stubborn, angry bee
it is then that i decide to adjourn to the chambers of the hot tub in my condo to reflect and reminisce
My muse, he comes and wakes me in the night
in urgent tones he whispers in my ear
my thoughts are kissed by him and take to flight
and all the while his words come fast and clear
At times he takes me to celestial heights
with stars clandestine to dance and play
at times he guides me to those inner sights
my cloistered passion shrine, he'll gently splay
each virgin thought that lies within my soul
with patience born of love he will undress
he will not stop until the rhyme is whole
and till release is come, he will caress
My muse, he makes the sweetest love to me
and from his seed is birthed my poetry

Before
Before the world was made from space
Before the creation of the human race
Before the planting of the very first seed
There was the emotion of Love and the concept of need
Before the Good Lord made Adam and Eve dance
Before Cupid invented the idea of romance
Before politicians decided the position of their stance
There was little to divide us, it was left up to chance
Before the decisions were made to Govern,
Before Hansel and Gretel were put in the oven
Before the dinosaurs roamed the Earth
Before Mary herself gave the first Virgin Birth
Before Socrates spoke to his very first student
Before any activism or poitival movement
Before the first winter froze the very first trees
Before Romeo lost Juliette and was bought to his knees
Before Mozart composed his very first song
Before the concept of right and wrong
Before the notion of monetary exchange
Before the first book turned its very first page
Before the great Wisdoms that came from the sky
Before the grand visions in Leonardo Davinci’s genius eyes
Before the incisions by the very first surgeons
Before the decisions were decided as urgent
Before the great rulers like Caesar, Khan and Cleopatra
Before the great politicians like Barak Obama and Margaret Thatcher
Before Ludwig Van Beethoven’s very first composition
Before the first cancer patient was put in remission
Before they invented the human genome
Before ET got to eventually phone home
Before man walked on the surface of the moon
Before Frank Sinatra sung a moment too soon
Before the Human Rights Council was developed in The Hague
Before mankind developed courage or could recognize the brave
Before Nicola Tesla invented electricity
Before Elon Musk developed this concept for free
Before the woke generation ran away with the social narrative
Before feminist theory lost part of its prerogative
Before society became synonymous with technology
Before youthful ambition was lost to cynical ideology
Before Mohammed Ali put on his first boxing gloves
Before we all agreed that something undefined comes from above
Before the Noah sailed his arc and sent his peaceful dove
Before it was all invented, this world evolved from the essence of Love
The End

I walk through the glistening virgin snow
That covers the sorrow of autumn’s death
Where I find on a bush a frozen rose
Its beauty held ageless in winter’s breath
How I long to touch those petals again
Those moist velvet lips that promise such bliss
Opened in passion whispering my name
As I drift in dreams of a breathless kiss
Oh! To pluck this rose from the winter snow
And hold it closely to my aching heart
And free it from that ice so bitter cold
That now my love keeps you and me apart
But if I were to pluck this winter rose
Would all its petals fall upon the snow?
Undulating ocean waves heave and sigh;
pulling tides tethered to a waning moon.
And shades of indigo and sapphire blue
dissolve into the ebony of Night.
As silent as cream: Luna's golden orb
rises, glowing softly in the Night sky.
And moonbeams dance upon foamy whitecaps
breaking upon the shallows, with a roar.
Under a plethora of shining stars,
placid waters mirror the universe.
And its surface, dappled with twinkling lights,
the ocean gleams, like onyx worn by Night.
When Venus rises as a virgin star,
Mars blushes: adopting a crimson shade.
And the ocean sparkles like a blue gem,
as Dawn's first light pierces the dark of Night.
