Lasting Forever
David J Walker

On the first morning
After a lifetime of making a living
I can only think of leaving
         the Army
And how empty
I felt left and on my own at 21

The days of OD Green or Khaki’s and
	Especially Class A’s
Were all done
	I remember thinking three years
 would last forever

Now
The Blue Blazer- Red Tie uniform hung
By my gray pants over the shiny black Oxfords
That were worn … uniformly
With a starched white button-down shirt
For forty years
Are a source of silent memories

It appears
 I am no longer authorized
To wear the disguise
Of an educated worker

I remember thinking forty years
 would last forever

Premium Member United By Nonuniformity

What is uniformly monolithic,
like a circular law, or wall,
is non-sectarian.

What is united together
is trans-sectarian unity, like a lattice, or web,
maybe even pan-unitarian.

We can sometimes see differences
between a universal ego-centered LeftBrain deductive, dividing, view
and eco-passionate open systemic RightBrain inductive, integral, listening,
appreciating
co-intentional
holistically interdependent meaning.

Bicameral listening deeply for universal nature uniting spirit
secular/sacred voices of time
regenerating EarthLight
dipolar co-arising
discerning LeftYang with RightYin Selves

Muses blinking backward in DNA nutritional health memory
and forward
into polypathic universal wealth
uniting fully energetic
peace-filling diversity
of harmonically co-resonant Story,
ego-inside with eco-outside
prime ZeroZone re-creative relationship.

Struck down powerless with astonishment
as the Brocken spectre took its shape
forming one shadow breathing out
from the misted oceans a fierce bitter wind whispers
curling cries around the mountain howling suffering
Where an odd sound echos strangely
three times striking the spine with ice trembles
Then the crunch of lightening suddenly strikes this note
darkness causes uneasy feelings
when the shield of light is blinding
to the lost yet to be found wanting
opposite the sun enormous magnified shadows
begging to be seen casting lots upon the surfaces of clouds opposite
one head crowned figure emerges surrounded by glowing halo-like rings
the formation of glory rises from within shaping destiny
Where rings of coloured light appear directly opposite the sun
when sunlight finally meets a cloud uniformly-sized
water droplets refresh the misted vision held bathed

Premium Member A Woman With a Cheshire Cat Smile

An arbitrary woman on the street
Going the opposite way. Her amber eyes
                 Meet mine as she approaches
                      Bright and penetrating

                          We smile as we ...
                Uniformly glance at each other
               No words exchanged between us
As she walks past me, into oblivion...

She's a beautiful woman with a giraffesque grace
Alas! She'll forever remain a mystery
And we'll never cross paths again
                   Though I'll always remember...

                      Her cheshire cat smile!

Premium Member Integrity Embraces Diversity

System integrity can grow more deeply resonant
only as diversity grows more widely interdependent.

Diversely rich integrity
longs to universally emerge
unitarian yin-inclusive
and not uniformly yang-dominant,
exclusive
privileged
supremely kleptocratic.

An economic and ecological reason
Win/Lose capital wealth-accumulation values
trend toward historically WesternWhite male racist privileged mono-structures
is because we do not, instead,
cooperatively co-invest time
and energy
and capital
in diversely interdependent integrity;
reconnecting universal yang wealth values
with unitarian interdependent health-norms.

So, anti-racist multicultural ecosystems
are those fully invested
in pro-active historical culture-deepening
and diversely widening
integrity
rather than defensive monocultural rabidity.

Racial justice seeks creolizing metamorphosis,
and not colonizing unilateral supremacy,
as does environmental justice.

Both are health-trending
when cooperatively restoring therapeutic EarthJustice
with pulling together Win/Win integrity,
and not Win/Lose pushed apart disintegration
of bio-
and ego-
and eco-
and geo-systemic diversity.

Premium Member Sometime During the Night

Sometime during the night
I knew what was more right
to sing our songs
with great yang might
and soft yintegrity's not wrongs.

We could sustain our notes
within this singing circle,
whether loud or soft,
but not too soft
to slowly feel our pitch
veer yinly flat.

Whether bright or dull,
vibrato or flat-line pure linear
waves of yang/yin sounds
to hear
to uniformly match dipolar
co-arising
and multiculturally mixed.

Then, as we listen and sustain,
we are free to retain our interdependent voices
of dissonance and confluence,
of dissent and harmony,
of resistance and peace,
and also free to change
toward growing harmony
or growing disharmony.

And, as we listen for re-alignments
in our ego/eco-voicing stream of time,
we grow free to hear with right-hemispheric wholeness
of our collective chord changes,
fluctuations,
together soft,
now growing louder,
softer,
bolder,
more peaceful
until fading into silent joy,
listening to our echoing after-ring power
of collective yang/yin reweaving memory.

We are no different,
on our better win/win communicating days,
of listening to curiously understand
then actively speaking out and up
for ego/ecological resilience
timelessly echoing,
both vibrato and flat-line
peacefully ever mountain/valley after.

A Golden Rise

It was yesterday when you died
At the horizon far west
And your blood smothered
The touching edges
Of the sky and the mountain
While you sank in its redness

Your funeral was fairly attended
By multitudes of mourning stars
Uniformly dressed in black

Today you resurrected
At the touching edges
Of the sky and the mountain far east
And like a child
Fresh from its mother’s womb
You were covered in blood
Which turned golden as you rose

Your resurrection comes as a sign
Of the birth of a new life
It turns our darkening dreams gold
It illuminates our paths
And makes us see the future
Awaiting beyond the horizon

Yet again you will
In the evening die
And sink in a pool of blood
At the touching edges
Of the sky and the mountain far west
And leave us longing
For another golden rise

Premium Member Rugged Crosses

For me,
but not for my kids,
it was The Old Rugged Cross
teaching my ego/eco-logic crossed
to believe adults could deprive their Earthly minds
of sacred co-passionate investment
and yet thrive uniformly healthy bodies
of equitable wealthy,
yet sacrificially lonely,
dignity.

Not until I uncovered
The Blessings of the Earth and Sky (K. Patton, J.S. Bach)
did I think to wonder win/win why
Earth and sky, crossed and yet recovered
more resilient Earthly bodies together, than apart,
with skyward polyphonic minds soaring
not uniform aspiring
prey avoiding predators
yet unity inspiring Earth's communal co-relationships.

How ever did we get this strange left-brain nightmare,
wealthy bodies
can be severed,
crossed out
away from mental passion for health,
co-responsive
interdependent webs
of Earth and Sky
secular and sacred,
liberating science and liberal multi-enculturing arts,
integrity's double-crossed communion
of Earth's original healthing wealthy purpose.

I’m Beautiful

You flip and flap like a flip flop
side with the side that is on top
but it’s ever changing like a tik tok
all you do is suck up like a lip lock

Always seeking out the route to glory
Being Right is the title of your story
never wrong as that shows you’re faulty
insecurities got you faking conformity

Warped perspective
and you’re a detective
reject subjective
progressive expert
no more exclusion
all out inclusion
we must collude in
now keep it cruising
it’s a new dawn
forget your choosing
we’re the same form
no more refusing
remove the stain
but I’m refusing
and I do warn
you won’t convert me
into this ordinary
lame deformity
worded normally
uniformly
as if numb is what I’d become
a uni one on a mono run
because god has made me
awkward baby
maybe crazy
but the brain ain’t lazy
abomination
no regulation
no rules were placed upon my creation
I’m free to speak
I’m weird unique
I’m beautiful
you’re miserable
Woke liberal

Asters litter beds in rainbow colours
Berries red and black slowly growing
Clover adding bright patches of green
Daisy's dotting the rolling lawns
Enchanting us with their beauty
Fox gloves waving their wands of trumpets
Gerbera brightly show the sun their faces
Hibiscus blown by gentle hot breezes sway
Irises joining in glinting and glimmering
Jasmine flowers spreading out profusely as
Kale fish swim in the pond flashing colour
Lilies floating gracefully give them shelter
Mums giving ground cover to the rolling banks with
Narcissus poking out between them while the
Orange hues of asters are a delightful background for
Peonies some tall most very short nestle beneath
Quince flowers, still their tight buds vie with
Roses stately and wafting perfume clouds around
Snapdragons closing their petals over insects
Tansy's rarely seen now a days, here do thrive and
Uniformly line the garden paths whilst timid
Violets of deep purple shyly peek out and the
White tulips dance amid the rest under hedges of
Xylosma giving height and deep shade for plants
Zinnia's with rings of colour exploding
