Premium Member Beauty Is In the Eye of the Observer

A YOUNG AND CHARMING HANDSOME FELLA
WENT IN SEARCH OF CINDERELLA.
QUITE THE ADVENTURE TO SAY THE LEAST.
ALONG THE WAY HE WOULD MEET A BEAST.
SHE WAS AN UNEARTHLY CREATURE FROM AFAR,
WHO POSSESSED A HEART INSIDE A JAR.
THIS CREATURA WAS AN ENCHANTED BEAST,
WHO LOST HER LOVER TO A POISONED FEAST.
TOGETHER THEY WOULD TRAVEL MANY MILES,
SHARE LOTS OF LAUGHS AND MANY SMILES.
HER TRUE BEAUTY WAS DISTORTED BY ANGER.
SHE WAS IN SEARCH OF A WOMAN WITH INTENTIONS TO HANG HER.
THERE WERE MANY NIGHTS UNDER STARRY SKIES.
THEY WOULD QUESTION THE HEAVENS AND WONDER WHY.
THE SEASONS WOULD CHANGE AS WILL HER HEART.
IT WOULD BRING THEM CLOSER OR MOVE THEM APART.
HER INNER BEAUTY WOULD BEGIN TO SHINE.
THE LOSS OF HER LOVER WOULD FADE FROM HER MIND.

My Family

Two social crystals
Two lovely books together
Under lamp of love

One mere paperback
The other hardbound gilded
Intense struggle on

“We shall overcome”
Resonated day and night
A rope walking tight

Page combined with page
A new book of poems grew
As a haiku came

Baby on her toes
Tremor occurred but the ball
Every time bounced back

A third book now grows
New story of a new home
Blue waves in white foam

In their shell a pearl
Now a ten year old bright boy
The family’s joy

Time moves on the shore
I still look to forming waves
In poetry caves

               when I was a girl
unaware of life and death
father took me to the park
to feed the ducks . . .
how, sweetly they floated to me
as father watched from a park bench
the ducks knew us and came without hesitation
how nice it would be to go back
    to those days
          to be again
               under those swaying trees
 where pretty ducks drifted
     just me and father
and our favorite park bench . . .
I went back to that park not long ago
          and the bench still remains
and lingering there I watched ducks drifting
   remembering, remembering
                  days of long ago
                    and I imagined father
        stroking my hair
as we sat on that park bench
                       in the dappled sun

Dinner

where to begin
we're going to
go stepping out
dressed in what
some may see
as fashionable
but for us we
dress passionately

looking at you knowing
what's underneath your
yellow dress fit to form
your figure go figure you
are everything in anything
you wear or have worn so
i am torn between what i
can wear to compare so

reservations

the elation of
sitting across
from you that
the thought of
crucification
would be
a painful
pleasure

but need not
matter from
what i gather
as we eat a
simple sample
appetizer and
a bottle of
Chilean wine

secundi

who needs
to tantalize
taste buds
already in
bloom for
you soon
take off
one shoe

so what platter
ordered doesn't
matter for your
leg with barefoot
toes knows where
to go and slides
up my leg and
my eyes

begging prima

find the spot of
forget me i'm
not going to
resist you
when
those
toes
choose

to find me
naturally as
if they sniff
instead of
smell but i
can tell
that they
found

our dessert

you order some
sort of pie with
cream and I
find myself
under the
table not
needing
to order

you
wore
edible
cherry
flavored
panties
now topped
with cream

The Heat

People like the Lord are watching you
The men who follow Jesus cared
You're constantly on an audition
And everyone you ever knew
Will eventually be there

It's hard to live under scrutiny
Or dissected under judging eyes
You can see why the people cry mutiny
While enjoying the safety
Of being paralyzed

How am I supposed to keep moving
With all this heat following me?

I been chained to radiators
By molls who said they were mine
They all said they'd meet me later
And we'd run away to the land
Of sweet grapevines

Ya gotta be wary they tell you
'cause they're workin' both sides of the mirror
Under the hot spot of seduction,
Your contrived confession
Comes crystal-clear

How am I supposed to keep movingHn
With all this heat following me?

              The pages are blank,
        it is a new year and new beginning;
      time to dream another dream,
and to dream a little bigger.
To unfold new horizons with endless possibilities,
  to let my dreams take flight with hopefulness;
there will be lots of love and sweet moments,
and I will fill the year with magic !

              The pages are waiting,
        for my pen to begin the adventure;
      with goals and opportunities,
I promise to read more and make art.
I will go to the art gallery more, write more poetry,
  will give love, tranquility and serenity to all;
will grow more strength and courage.
and find the me hidden within !

Premium Member Sin - 1

Sin is a disease that destroys from
The darkness where it lingers
Always taunting us in the shadows
Of bitterness and dread, sinister
And haunting, calling out to the soul
For just a little more of its hope
Until all hope has been lost
And even faith and love are gone

Sin is ugly and angry and hateful
It prides itself on taking away
All the light that caresses a life
And stealing even the memories
Of laughter and joy, fulfillment
Found in colors of love breathing
Through a heart, whispering gently
Truth, inspiration and contentment

Sin is black and murky, obscuring itself
In the silhouettes of revulsion, disgust
That clings to the underbelly of evil
Thrusting its tentacles into corruption
Pleading with wickedness to continue
Producing sorrow and pain and regret
Remorse that remembers only the hues
Of somber gray that left a heart in fear

Sin is furious when it’s discovered
And called upon to make itself known
To become a sin that is manifested
And adorned with the sacred blood
From the One who died to cleanse
Free the slave from the sinning
And release the captive with forgiveness
Absolution, pardon, clemency
Bought and paid for by the Son
Who died on calvary and rose up again
On the third day… to finally say

Our sin is under the blood
Forgiven, we can seek God’s approval
Shun the darkness and begin again
To live in the light, where we can be seen
As a child of God, beloved and covered
By grace that has given us all the chance
To live for Jesus and enter heaven’s sanctuary
Eternally blessed – a child of the best
God’s grace is sufficient to save our souls
Allowing His love to make us whole

Ephesians 2:8-9
King James Version

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Stuck In a Christmas Globe

(Not for contest, the title just provided inspiration)

I stand here alone in my garden,
no smile on my face, just a frown,
whenever I feel my life's on the up
someone then turns my world upside down.
I'm clearing my path, but it's pointless,
three times a day, it's a real pain,
it hurts both my arms, when it's done,
then I'm calm, but it snows, so I do it again.
I'd live somewhere else, yes, I'd love to,
up sticks, relocate somewhere warm,
but I can't leave the yard, God I've tried
really hard, but each time I do, there's a storm.
I'd put my house up on the market,
it looks really good, almost new,
but buyers with cars will have nowhere
to park it so they look elsewhere, so would you.
The children next door are enormous,
you should hear the noise that they make,
home from school they all run
by my house, just for fun, and then pick it up,
give it a shake.
I can't live like this here forever,
just waiting for snowstorms to pass,
I'll contact 'Homes under the Hammer'
and get them to shatter the glass. *

Dark

…
Today was a little dark
I just
Didn't know what to do
I thought we were safe on the ark
But I
Was drowning with you
I said I’ll never let you go
I may die
But it can’t be you
I may cry
But you shouldn't too
My tears will dry
But yours, on my mind, will never do
…
I’d be willing to give you my life
And
Your love for me is just enough
I’d cross the world and the seven seas
And
By your face at the end I’ll be pleased
…
I hold your face and say it’s going be all right
I’ll take us baby
Together to the light
I know it hurts a lot
I know you’re hurt a lot
And from this drowning I’ll take you out
It never felt good seeing you in pain
But I promise you’ll never feel the same again
I try to swim through the mighty waves
And my only thought is that they’re our graves
Because there will be nothing of our remains
I see an island and I turn to you
“That’s our rescue”
I turn left and right but you’re not there
But where
Where did you go?
I cannot bear
You’re lost…
…
I’d be willing to give you my life
And
Your love for me is just enough
I’d cross the world and the seven seas
And
By your face at the end I’ll be pleased
…
I look under water until I'm out of breath
I don’t care if by this
Will be my death
For you’re the one
That I'm with
My love was honest so now I should give
This bloody sea took you
And took my happiness too
This bloody sea took you
And in this sea I shall die too
Today was dark
And it’s darker without you…

A Ray of Sunshine

Billions of beams,

Stream from The Sun.

Attaching itself to everyone,

And everything,

Living and Breathing.

Projecting a design,

So Complex and Divine,

Our bodies the end of the line.

Reflections in time,

Brilliant waves of Sunshine,

Defining our out line,

As we Design the inside.

Inline with being Happy,

The Ride Runs smoothly.

More Soothing,

Navigating the terrain,

Of this Physical plane.

Always present,

Enjoying,

Abundant Campaigns.

Through Our tests and trials,

Sadness and Smiles,

Shining on you all the while.

Running through unaware,

The power of its loving snare.

You're under its care,

Guides you just right,

It loves to share it's Light.

Showing it's might,

It Doesn't want a fight.

Take delight in knowing,

The sun is glowing,

Growing with you,

Flowing with existence.

ALL Thanks to Consciousness,

Navigating through,

A reflection of time,

Expanding its design,

Right through YOU.
