I wear my ugly sky glue paper because of the work mandate
It reminds no one of a pretty summer or spring day believe me
Warm sweat droplets under my nose slide into my mouth
I have been capsulated into a self-imposed mini sauna
Hot vibrant blue wrinkled latex-free gloves suppress my hands
Making no easy task of the things I have to do to get checked out
This is May eighteenth of twenty twenty, in full swing of pandemic panic.
This school check out for the summer is surreal; a nightmare
Fog steams up my glasses as I take a deep warm foggy breath.
Not seeing this mess is almost as terrific as seeing.
I put my head down and begin to work, packing up an office
I have not been to for over nine weeks; coronavirus be damned!
He pulls
the eiderdown
Over his skinny
little head
Flashbacks in his mind
Of a nasty video
One which scared him
Almost out
of his little mind
If only he could rewind
Starting back
at the beginning
Once such images
Entered his tiny brain
So hard to delete
Over and over
Turning the head
outside in
Beak opens wide
Dabbing with nerves
Like catching flies
twitching with exhaustion
Images floating
in the mind
Nodding off
Awakens to nightmare
Dreaming of justice
The culprit is covering
the tracks
Eventually sleep falls
Taking him
to duck heaven
Were he has
a duck banquet
Famous ducks
from all over
the world
Dreaming in royal dreams
smiling asleep
In the morning sun
Enters his room
streams of light
Awakening jumps
out of his skin
Flash backs
hoping the culprit
is nailed
To get his shot
at court
Were he will
answer questions
On morality
No more
Mr.. Nice duck
Brings out
deep within
The bad and ugly side
Of his soft makeup
Second thoughts
Just be himself
Stand firm and be counted
Like a legionnaire
In the desert
Caught in sandstorms
When the sand settles
This duck
will brew
the mother
Of all storms
Sweet roaring thunder
he will strike
see who cries
over spilled
milk then
Her smile is a part of me
I have been in depression
All this long while
I have been so lonely
All this time
I have been waiting
all this while
I have been so patient
All this season
Until you came across my way
with those smiles of yours
Oh what a light
Oh what a smile
Baby you killing me softly
Her smile is a part of me
I have been on a long search
All this days
Alot girls along the way i have meet
This time past
None is bright as you
I have been on doubt
All this period
Now you bring a smile
From your smiles to my ugly face
Your humour makes me feel safe
I once needed an emergency now you are my medication
Her smile is a part of me
The night is short
When you lay by my side
The day is sweet
when i listen to your voice
You always know the key tone to my joy
So i swear to always be your happiness
Everytime you smile
I feel so blessed
Everytime you speak i
feel you so deep
i see am in to you
As you are in my heart
Her smile is a part of me
No you no smile
No you no joy
No you no happiness
For i have been in depression
All this long while
I have been so lonely
All this time
I have been waiting
All this while
I have been patient
All this season
Until you bless my soul
With your smiles
And now i have a reason
To smile forever
I am very ugly
so don't try to convince me that
I am a very beautiful person
because at the end of the day
I hate myself in every single way
and I'm not going to lie to myself by saying
there is beauty inside of me that matters
so rest assured I will remind myself
that I am a worthless, terrible person
and nothing you say will make me believe
I still deserve love
because no matter what
I am not good enough to be loved
and I am in no position to believe that
beauty does exist within me
because whenever I look in a mirror I always think
am I as ugly as people say?
Now read from the bottom up.

Each of us is given a mission by God that's deemed essential
one is protecting the rights of the most vulnerable in society
when society socially tramples on these virtues removing values
we have the authority from the bowels of the Word to act
Marching and praying for the abomination against Justice to end and stop
where law and order is breaking down corrupted by vice
standing up for something we do not fall for the deceit
life is short its easier to stand for something good rather than bad
We are all given gifts mere mortals if we use them wisely we will get more
peace and harmony needs to be restored rather than conflict
the quality of one's soul can be seen in the vice they support
a moment of mindfulness can focus on something greater called the truth
Figure this one out when brought to the light of transparency
demonising demonstrators gets the desired effect pushing ugly narrative
They want to shut down all opposition that will overthrow this system of ruling
because they have gone so far left they can't return to what is normal
At what stage do we say enough of this nonsense
we are heading on the wrong path
to be honest I do not recognise this world anymore
it's gone so ugly and loveless turning against Holiness
This is what happens those hypnotised by this mass global deceit
Many will wish they lived their life free from these hardships
because the slaves are those that submit to worldly powers
and most of them are afraid to own up taking the wrong side
So the argument is between nothing trying to make something stick
There's no heaven above me
and this world's trying to bring me down
Thinking what goes, will come back round
But there seems to be no heaven above me
And the worlds getting ugly
I'm searching for comfort
but your arms, they don't want to hug me
I guess there's no heaven above me
Sitting still in this storm, Calm, and i can't breathe
Running homeless for days and I miss Autumns leaves
Vacant are my tears But i can't breathe
Rain falls from my eyes But i won't leave
Take me to a place Where i can live
Flowers no longer growbecause man can't give
At the bus stop But i won't turn
My patience's fatigued But i won't learn
I believe in me and i believe in you
i believe we hold the truth and it will see us through
Crystals no longer shine for champagne is trust
When it's all said and done, again i'll see your dust
There's no heaven above me
and this world's trying to bring me down
Thinking what goes, will come back round
But there seems to be no heaven above me
And the worlds getting ugly
I'm searching for comfort
but your arms won't hug me
I guess there's no heaven above me
"Sometimes we go through things
and there seems to be no end in site,
Smile, because there could be"

Night in Lisbon
Once, I went to a dance hall in Lisbon
an awful place full of desperate middle-aged women
hoping to catch a man, any man.
Ah, for the horrible colours looking putrid on the wall
Was the music supplied by a jukebox when
the accordion was too drunk to play
Scrawny women of the night sat around the dance
floor trying to look sophisticated smoking cigarettes
laughing loudly like ugly sisters
Ogling men’s mid-part while showing spindly legs
meant, I think, to look enticing but only succeeded
In appearing like stick insects
Once these women had been beauties, attracted
to men in suits; many divorces later and partying
time had taken a heavy toll.
Lonely women, chasing what once was, the youth
consorting with contemptible men who feared
being alone on a night when truth spoke piercingly
The ominous presence of something evil that was felt but not eye-seen brought a presage of doom to the already spooky-feeling bonfire in the woods.
The campfire which had been glowing and popping and snorting oranges and yellows, was rapidly turning into an ugly, smudgy gray and black mess.
My friends’ faces were starting to look creepy, lit only by the silly jack-o-lantern light up necklaces Linda had purchased at the Dollar Store on her way to the forest.
I have a weird feeling, Marcia said.
I don’t! Linda promptly yelled.
The rest of us giggled, nervously. I glanced behind me, expecting a werewolf, keeping
Silent, afraid fear could draw the mysterious “it” closer.
We sat in silence, listening to the last pops of the fire, staring, conversation at a standstill. Things that we had been hyena-laughing about a few hours ago, had faded from my memory now. I was feeling
tired, and when I get that way, I sometimes get mean, so I wisely shut my cookie-hole. I wished they were going home, but I was the one who had invited them to sleep in tents with me, so it was my fault they were staying.
Things felt somber, cold.
Jacque was the first to make her way to the pup tent with our sleeping bags, which I hoped
Did not have any snakes in them yet.
Linda and Marcia told her good-night.
I had a weird feeling, so I jumped up just as Jacque reached the tent. “Wait!” I said.
Everyone laughed, as this was so like me.
The next morning, when Jacque could not be wakened, they looked at me with suspicion, like I was the cause.
It was our last campfire.
Listen
Listen to my ugly words
as they scratch upon your eyes
Searching for the truth in my world of lies
Beauty springing tears from this false facade
Love hidden in the hearts
of the brokenhearted
Spitting thoughts from within
to ease the congestion
Sickly slick i take a trip
Trying to lie to cover future lies
Forensically analyse my evasive murder
and accuse the accusations
Your world has broke my all
No one left to call
Upon the traces damning my existence
Listen just beyond my words
No silence in the pauses
Another joins my chorus
As we stand alone and sing
such similar verses
underneath the curses
You all have to excuse me a minute, for I have to vent
Due to the fact of someone's ugly little comments
Asking me how I get all this time to write! shouldn’t I be at work?
Well unfortunately a few years back, I got seriously hurt
Sure I would love to have something to do, or somewhere to go everyday
But I’m somewhat how you put it, disabled as they say
And I don’t see where it’s your business that I must justify myself
How is it what I do affect you or anyone else
So what you think I should be doing something for a man of my age
If it bothers you that bad then why are you on my page
Trust me in my life this is not where I would rather be
Life dealt me this fate of disability
So why again is my life cause harm to you
My house is paid for my land and cars are too
My wife works full time and goes to school
My kids are full grown and doing whatever it is that they do
So tell me again why is my life such a problem to you
I see you read what I write almost everyday
And always have some very ugly things to say
For your information I write because this is what I choose to do
As a matter of fact I’ve written a book or two
Now if I have written anything in the pass to bother you at all
Then why is ti everyday you keep clicking on my wall
So what if what I write hit home , I think you still read because you be needing it
cause for some reason you keep clicking on and you keep reading it
