I open and close my stiff cold hands,
and look down at what my pen has spilled;
my hands ache from decades of writing,
my many pages are totally filled.

Electric jolts stab at my fingers,
and my writing is dead and tingling;
I put on my ugly, clumsy splints,
and send my words to go a mingling.

And mingling, mingling far and far,
soon, I hear the snakes come creeping;
to tear apart- destroy my words,
the cobra asp came while I was sleeping.

Then, came the unblinking viper asp,
all the night my poetry they devoured;
each word that my pen had let fall,
and in the morning they left- a coward.

Perhaps the asp thinks this is power,
that they are cunning and will break me;
that I will fall in beautiful broken pieces,
but I have courage and only I, have the key.

Premium Member Hair In Glare

    Traditional Indian hair composition
     of a girl gets attraction
     being curly and long
    and that's the criterion.

     Inheriting my maternal gene
     I was proud to have
     this type and naturally
was granted to own beautiful hair.
    Admired in my rural community
from very childhood boosting my vanity.

Finishing School got admission in City College.
     Surprised to know that
     most praise worthy modern style
is accepted when hair is straightened.

Being born and brought up in suburbs,
I neither have any idea about beauty parlour
nor could afford that much luxury.

My best friend Anya was habituated
to go for facial and new hair set up
at least once a month and every time
requested me to do once, just as a trial .
Yet I have never been tempted.

At last one day she offered a gift
for hair setting in parlour accompanying her.
     But I took decision
     not to get any obligation.
She assured, no question to oblige
     It's her pleasure
     Coz the parlour offers
her free gift for any friend
     once a year,
as she is a regular customer.
This year she is choosing me.

I agreed : So a girl started to care my hair
After washing and drying she took one hour
to set my hair style -
    After completion of setting hair
she held a mirror in front of me
     making me totally upset.

I was stunned and shocked to see
my hairs are completely straightened !
   I couldn't recognise myself .
   I yelled in anger
' Why have you done this to me ?
My outstanding pride of curly hair
   has been lost forever.
I never told you to do this.'

    She apologized and said
'No modern girl likes curly hair.
It's her discretion to satisfy me.
     But no cause of worry,
I will regain my natural hair composition
     after a fortnight.

I was relieved after two weeks,
    regaining my natural curly hair
    in glaze and glare.
After that I never dared to visit a parlour.

I'Am Not Christian

I'am not Christian
The book lies
Yes I mastered the commandments

Thou shalt have no other Gods before me
Thou shalt not make idols.
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD the God in vain
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy
Honor thy father and thy mother.
Thou shalt not murder
Thou shalt not commit adultery
Thou shalt not steal
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor
Thou shalt not covet

None of that refers to me
I took the bible and did a 4 point shot in the trash can and move on with
my life

My new religion is music

Pop
Jazz
Rap
Alternative
Blues
Opera
Country
R&B/Soul
Reggae
Rock

I smile
I dance
I' am happy
I'am stress free
And I don't have a sign of depression that lives within me

Don't take this personally but the bible was totally boring
I'am proud to say I'am not Christian
My new religion is Music
That's my new thrill in my life with 100 years added to my life span

With You My Love This World Is Colorful Place

With You My love this world is colorful Place:Poem.
Peace is its own reward.
Peace is always beautiful.
Peace is liberty in tranquility.
With you, O My beloved,
This World is a colorful Place.
You are the crazy night,
and I am the yellow star.
It's a divine mercy,
that I have met with you.
After Madly falling in love with you.
I have learned the art of living in this beautiful world.
With you, O My beloved,
This World is colorful Place,
I’ll be yours for lifetime.
if you just give me only one single gesture for real marriage.
Wherever, in whichever street I go,
I stumble upon your fragrance,
you are the dream that i see in every night.
our meeting was destined.
there is a divine light in me from your existence,
I’m a deserted sky,
and you are the moon.
Nobody can bring you peace but yourself.
With you, O My beloved,
This World is colorful Place,
Living life without you is totally meaning less for me.
I donot want to live without you.
I have left rest of other paths,
I have just come for you only.
Your name is there in my eyes,
recognize this.
Everything else comes after you,
You are the top priority for me.
This love sentence of mine have value worth a hundred normal sentences of mine.
To cut to the core of the matter.
I’ll never go away leaving you alone, you must
know.
With you, O My beloved,
This World is colorful Place,
I am the flowing passenger or traveller like a river.
and you are a silent shore.
You’ll never find peace of mind until you listen to your heart.
Peace is the result of retraining your mind to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be.
You find peace not by rearranging the circumstances of your life, but by realizing who you are at the deepest level.

Premium Member Trixie Lou, Two Points of View

Many years ago, I was in a down-heartened funk, after deciding to get a little bit drunk.

Beer guzzling queens won’t tell you, but liquor tastes bad going down and coming back up is truly no joy.

Some will tell you how great drinking liquor makes them feel, happy, and wonderful. But they’re full of bunk

Being wasted, angry, crying, and a bit mean is no way to meet any kind of a man or dating boy

And if you are completely silly, to hug, or touch or god forbid fore take in a sloppy drunk kiss

I must tell you the story of a naïve woman who got herself in a real pickle in St. Croix

If you are already completely wasted, and angry, and mean, this warning you will probably dismiss

This sordid tale of a girl, a boy, a golden pony, a red flute that laughed, and a shiny green Shamrock

The way this tale was told to me, by my gram, it entered my ears totally unbiased and Faultless

There was a pipe, and a honey bee, and a well-intentioned, prettied up edible pink and plump Ham hock

I do remember someone laughing, and a foot being broken, and a yellow three cent postage stamp.

There was a nickel’s worth of lead, and an angry man, and a princess in a lavender and pink Frock

The men crowded around to watch Trixie Lou dance, for she was a well-known, conniving, trickster of a Vamp

In my inebriated state, I can recall but one bit of the story that has any bearing now.

Grandpa’s dream girl was a devious witch of a woman according to Big Ma, a hard-hearted Tramp

Told by Big Ma, Trixie was a flaunter, a floozy, a conniver, a flute-playing nasty old cow,

She had pink cheeks, sky blue eyes, and she wore her red curls pinned with green shamrocks; she was all kinds of pretty.

This information was slipped to me in whispers by Grandpa, who considered Trixie a giant wow.

Premium Member A Tribute To Jimmy Fallon

D'ya know a person who's caught my fancy
Host of The Tonight Show fame
Without a doubt, a talented entertainer
The charming Jimmy Fallon by name

Really been a fan since the day he took over
Can sing, can dance and tell jokes
Guests who've appeared on his last night show
Play parts in his skits, never coaxed

A genuine talent in so very many areas
A natural for the late night spot
Charming and funny, just made for the role
As popular as Carson, he's got a shot

Impressions of the famous are really amazing
He totally can blow your mind
A tremendous talent in so very many ways
This man is truly one of a kind

So here's to you, I salute you Jimmy Fallon
You'll be around for many a year
Carson's longevity is about to be challenged
Years from now Jimmy will be here

Premium Member Broken Vessel

As I lay alone pondering in bed
You know very well this is in your head

Your thoughts of me were totally exposed
All of my feelings shared now a door that's closed

My efforts to give you happiness in reserve
Hind site 20/20 was always more then you deserve

Like the distruction of a hurricanes wake
Were you ever in my corner for heavens sake

The fitting end you wanted is what you got
Heart felt feelings all but lay in rot

As you find yourself empty inside
My arms no longer your sanctuary to hide

You told me once that I was "nothing special"
What is sad, your heart was just a broken vessel!

Lovers On the Beach

We watched the sun rising in the sky
We were on the beach, just she and I.
A cool gentle breeze blowing upon our face
As we stared into the depths of space.
We was holding hands as we sat on the sand
Enjoying the beauties of GODS land.
The waters so calm and blue
As the seagulls above us flew.
Little sand crabs playing at our feet
And searching for anything that they could eat.
As we sat there our minds were reeling
Thinking of the joys that we were feeling.
An inner peace that could not be described
As we sat there side by side.
We was totally hypnotized
As we saw the love in each other’s eyes.
Love can be found all around
But on this beach there was but one sound
Two hearts that were beating together
This could not have gotten much better.
With love there are no boundaries that cannot be overcome
If we face it as but “ONE”.
The sun “now” above the horizon
With its rays shining every where
Wiping away all worries and cares.
We are but two lovers- enjoying all that GOD had done
Sitting on the sand, watching the rising sun.

Anymore

I don't want you anymore. I can't touch you anymore.
You're not my Goddess anymore, and so far from pure.
You are different and dirty, not like I used to know.
The perfect kind of person where I have to let go.

I wish I would have known you weren't about me.
Then, I would have gone and set you totally free.
Everything about you turned out to be wrong.
I no longer want you, just color me gone.

It all happened when you thought you were better than me.
Made me feel like I wasn't a part of your family.
You do you, and have any John you want.
Flex that thing, and find yourself a new haunt.

I play second fiddle to nobody on this earth.
And, never will I ever be dragged through the dirt.
I don't have feelings anymore, nor have trust in you.
I am shutting the door and looking towards something new.

Lush sultry scents fill my nostrils
spices and exotic flowers blooms
first encounter with dark people
my, they were scarey like pirates

Armed with enormous panga's
and wickedly nasty looking knives
at almost 8 years old I shook violently
when one looked at me grinning gruesomely

I shrank back against my mother, my haven,
never had I seen such delightful sights
junk boats sailing round us, their crew
most motley, in a range of multi colors

Waving their enormous panga's at us
gold teeth gleaming, it was so scarey
I was glad to sail on to Dar-es-Salaam
many horrendous nightmares I then suffered

Little knowing that Dar was just the same
some steps I now had taken into the unknown
so many fears still lay in the future and beyond
a totally new yet dangerous world lay ahead of me

I am describing an overnight stop at Zanzibar at my young age it was a fearful very exciting experience
