What joy
What comfort
To find a comfy niche
Where kindred spirits abound
Where we are encouraged to be ourselves
And delight in others showing their true colors
How profound it is to connect on that human level
Sharing opportunities to appreciate each other’s journeys
With tendered words, views, passions, dreams and aspirations
Life obstacles and vulnerabilities divulged with open heart
Allowing others to touch us in so many ways
Inviting them into our private bubble
Where some so easily click
Like long lost friends
Forever leave
Their mark

To one such friend
I need pay tribute
He’s an artist on my path
No doubt to feed my motivation
He gives praise
Like it’s free candy

He’s a humble goodhearted poet
Direct and won't play games
He couldn't be a politician
It would surely kill him

All I have to say is how I have
Tremendous respect for him
And everything he stand for

Waking up with glee
my son welcomes gracious day
praying, giving thanks
midst praise sign language…
can he utter grateful sounds?
yes, God understands.
He seeks for his book.
Is that a favorite one?
Bible with pictures…
Flipping every page
he claps at the sight of ark…
“Have you seen the ape?
…how about big ant,
antelope, armadillo…
all in floating zoo?”
Then he closes book
for delightful bathing spree…
How does he manage?
He gladly gestures…
“Mother is always ready”
“Right, Mommy dearest?”
Well, indeed so, by God’s grace.*

*2 Timothy 2:1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Premium Member LSD trip

In the sixties, a mere chemical fooled Timothy Leary
He became a missionary, to the jaded, the weary
He thought he had the answer to the question:
how to get the key to the doors of perception.

We could become one with a conscious field
That only trickles in; you could make the walls yield
More than that, LSD could make us aware
That love was the underlying fact out there.

Could we "fathom hell or soar angelic"
just by taking a psychedelic?
Could we enter "the endless flame that contains"
sense, sleep, glory and God's hundred names?

Ken Kesey was an attendant on a psychiatric floor.
The delusions of patients were hard to ignore.
Then he took LSD, and the patients seemed sane -
He thought he was decoding their meaning, their pain,

So he wrote a novel while high on LSD:
Sadistic nurse Ratchet versus inmate Murphy
The insane were the rebels, society the straitjacket
Was madness just a capitalist racket?

Some say insanity reacts to an insane planet
Just a sane response to the rulers that ran it.
But then the mad were let loose on our streets.
If you ignore harsh reality, then history repeats.

LSD we now know, alters electrical activity in the brain
Those who think they've found the cosmos, are hoping in vain.
Like any drug, when you take it, you are rolling the dice
It may not be so bad, or you may pay a price.

Brain areas communicate, Synesthetic senses cross
It makes paranoids worse, not worth the dice toss.
To be free you have to be in charge, and be whole
Without reason, you are no longer in charge of your soul.

Civil rights lawyers didn't realize that brain affects mind.
If you ignore basic facts, you are not being kind.
The homeless mentally ill have no walls, but aren't free.
There's little romance in losing touch with reality.

Premium Member Deep Conscience Heart-

God had Timothy to write the purpose of his instruction was that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.
 MY INNER CONVICTION
In my inner convictions
I have had do diverse directions
but I was detecting
Deep, deep down in my soul in my heart of hearts
I feel that as I a believer
would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart
a love that comes
a love that comes
A love that comes from a pure heart
AHH! that I should be of a clear conscience and of genuine faith
My God is GOOD
O' my God is GREAT
I feel that as I a believer
would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart
a love that comes
a love that comes
A love that comes from a pure heart
AHH! that I should be of a clear conscience and of genuine faith

The Five Word Challenge - the First Daughter of Eve

My Father,
See the little serpents slither
Among the Wolfsbane, the Foxglove and the Daffodil
My mother distains the creatures,
And fears the beauty of my garden
Though I see splendor in their movement
They dance carefully in the night,
The moonlight shining on their freshly shed scales

Why are they punished for an ancient wrong?
Why are they hated for their doings?
Am I like the snakes, in my father’s eye?
A limbless mistake? A falsehood you know,
As they wait to accuse,
And always abuse?

Fallen Lucifer laughs in the crevices,
As he has taken my brother with the rock of another,
My desires remain in the ground,
Among the burrowing creatures round
For it is a falsehood you know
That we, the children should be blamed
For a wrong made by the very ones who made us
I will dance in the moonlight,
I will water my beautiful, poisonous plants
And I will live and die like the ones before me
I will bear others, and keep watch of their growth

Premium Member Tim and Wyclef

Yo poets, preachers, and prophets,
Here this game, cause there are two prophets,
That inspire me, to keep raging against machines of injustice,
One white, one black, one academic, the other spits music,
Two preachers, two prophets of corporate imagination,
Wyclef Jean, takin’ grunge gurus, hindu songbirds, Christian taggas, and
muslim daggas,
Ragin’ war on hatred, one world, one groove, soothin’ with psalms, I mean
balms of righteous guidance,
And then there’s timothy, like biblical prophecy, he’s a young monster of
academic precision,
And on the side, he writes rhymes in secret,
And though kind of agnostic, he walks with God, cause he trusts the universe,
To help him write poems and papers,
But yo, suffering found him, in the boat, he hit the storm,
Dark forms of stress, they came to test him,
But he never lost faith, like job, he drove to daydreams of new beginnings,
Cause yo, tenure don’t define us, and neither does ASQ,
We few, who see more, can take business to new levels,
Through honest inquiry, regarding questions of justice, yo hear me bust this,
He is unstoppable, and if he simply holds on,
Like Wyclef Jean and the fugees, like Carnival Volume II,
He’ll create a symphony, that defines a hold new way of seeing,
Yo I’m seathing, believin’ in his power,
This young timothy, let no one despise his youth,
He spits truth,
And soon, he’ll hit breakthrough,
Publishin’ books, papers, and straight new frameworks,
He’ll show us how the game works,
Cause though perhaps agnostic, my God is with him, like Yoda and skywalker,
He’s gonna convert vada, through the wisdom of the Savior,
Yo avatars, coming up and going down, I’m glad I found a scholar,
Who’s got the groove, to loose his mind to find God’s rhythmic answers,
To cancers of the soul and body too,
Yo hold on, cause two poets, one black, one white,
About to take flight, and that’s real!

Premium Member Tribute To Five Fabulous Poets

I write of young Timothy
A very thoughtful young man
A thinker among thinkers
He writes to all that he can

He places wonderful comments
And sees life in his own way
Things are so fascinating
He so enjoys his word play

Then there is my friend Becca
She's sweet and refined
Her comments so generous
They reveal a heart that's kind

What is more spectacular
Is the poems that she has penned
Once I get to reading them
I wish that they didn't end

I have a new friend Freddie
Who may seem a darker sort
But there is much more to him
I am happy to report

He will not sugar coat it
His comments are to the point
When it comes to honesty
He adds color to the joint

Young Anne is a butterfly
As she flutters all about
She touches many people
So I give her this shout out

Her poems like diamonds
Or perhaps even more rare
There may not be so many
They're all written with such care

I can't forget sweet Yanny
She is a lovely sweet girl
Each comment a special gift
Each word precious like a pearl

With her own style of writing
She knows how to mesmerize
She can be inspiration
As words dance before my eyes

I wish I could honor more
But I'm limited to five
The poets here at the soup
That all make me feel alive

I am thankful for comments
For all the good and the bad
If they were to stop coming
That would really make me sad

Premium Member Mindful of Your Tears

Now there are many things that I don't know
But there are some things I do know
God a comforter
And He'll embrace you and give joy
And many things I believe that all things are possible in Him
That I can achieve and through God all things

Chorus
So if your distraught and crying
Sit down and stop your crying
But if you can't it's okay, I have a relief don't fear
God is mindful of your tears

He gives me grace mercy and peace
And above all confidence and I'm greatly desiring to see Him when my time comes
When I am at my end
As a toddler falls skins it's knee and crying
My God is mindful of this and refuses to leave me hurt
He comes to fill my heart with joy and to love which overflows

Chorus
So if you distraught and crying
Sit down and stop crying
But if you can't it's okay, I have a relief don't fear
God is mindful of your tears

My God is mindful of your tears
You may have lost someone you loved
When you known them forever
It doesn't diminish your feelings
Now your heart is overwhelmed with grief and sorrow
Wondering how you going to live without them tomorrow

Chorus
So if you distraught and crying
Sit down and stop crying
But if you can't it's okay I have a relief don't fear
God is mindful of your tears

My God has, my God has a mission set in motion
The who created the ocean
Is mindful of your tears
And He'll come to you in peace, comfort all those fears
He will help you release
My God is mindful of you and in remembrance is remembering and mindful of you
Oh!! How much He loves you
So dry them eyes
Sit down don't you cry and if you can't help it
It's alright now...
My God is mindful if your tears

Premium Member FOR THE FIRST TIME

Dedicated to Timothy Lee

Joy harnessed from soft internal lightness
was pulse promised with attraction’s might
and sealed blissful bound by our first kiss …
with lips our hearts found their home address

Our emotive blessings deafen my questions
and ease my perception’s limitations
for you are my parceled Eden freedom …
our haven structure is couple completion

I chose marbled strength upheaval plans
that thru change I might someday know your name
and realize you like I breathe in nature …
no matter your season, it reaps my pleasure

For the first time in my heart’s entire life
I’ve no need to incite change thru strife’s design
and limp again within my dreams scorched rubble
to find my soulmate while my pains struggle

For Timothy Lee, the best of me

Every mood of nature I’ve lifelong felt on my face,
each debasing heart pain and endearing heart joy,
combined with my ingrained need to word create
while living uncertain in my self-confidence void,
tone-fills my Avatar’s endless background space.
Of primary import is the man on whom I lean,
whose loving support brought my poetry forth
with his certain belief my writing held worth.
This man is my heart, my fulfilling everything,
the soul mate who gave my confidence wings
to soar my poems high above any fear of stings.
