JERKS OF JEALOUSY
Two thick n' lovely friends, friends forever type
Ugly poverty had its brutal curse on both of them
Thick n' thin of life, equally did they share...
Both good at sports, budding athletes of their locality
New contest announced, In prize-trophy, sports shoe !
Both took up challenge, preparation on in full-swing...
Motivation n' moral boost-up, coach and the trainee, both were for both!
Arrived the D- day - One lost , One won!!
This is the point where story takes a U-turn..
One who lost got jealous, best moments till date
dissolved and diluted.
Wicked jealousy corroded his mind like sulphuric acid...
In fit of jealousy burnt he the shoes won by his own dear friend...
Another contest declared in neighbouring town, winner friend said,
I won't partake due to ligament tear.. but buddy you have to win this time
The new shoes I won, you wear and keep it as my gift all yours!
Good luck my friend he patted and left, still unaware
about shoes' fate which he had kept safe in chest.

The Timeball
sits atop of a tower
at Point Gellibrand - a quaint
relic of the past when,
well over a century ago,
ships at anchor in the Bay
would set their chronometers
as the ball descended
at precisely 1pm each day.
The Timeball is still in use
though not for its original
purpose but to serve
the curiosity of the tourists.
I often sit there
and watch the spectacle,
the ball lowering at 1pm,
check my phone time to see
if both are in sync - they
always are. I think
of the seafarers who navigated
the high seas with instruments
tuned to its time. They are all
gone now, exist only in old
photographs hung in the local
maritime museum.
The Timeball survives and I
wonder whether if they,
like me in darker moments,
saw it as a slow guillotine
slicing yet another day
off their lives.
I wonder too if they, like me,
looked out over a wider
world beset with strife,
saw the Timeball fall as if
counting down to some
uncertain catastrophe
gathering somewhere ahead.
For them it was the horror
of two world wars.
For me and my age it is
that thick, sulphuric mist
spread out on the horizon,
still shapeless and yet drawing
ever nearer and will not stop.
Its menacing advance measured
day by day at 1pm
when the Timeball drops
"It" whispered strange somethings into her ear.
As she gazed intently into the mirror.
"Its" voice was soft yet "it" taunted her so.
She wished to flee "it" but where could she go?
"It" bathed her mind in "its" sulphuric stream!
Lies upon lies "it" became a bad dream.
A waking nightmare she could not escape.
Her skinny fat body, what a wierd shape!
The more weight she lost the fatter she felt.
"Its" voice stonger as spirit did melt.
"I'm your friend, I'll help you disappear!
"Come to my garden, you don't belong here."
She stopped believing what "it" had to say
When she went for help the "it" ran away!
Universally yours she never bequeaths an empty womb
because she is space, containing the sparkle of all eternity
She is a matchstick sulphuric light that never extinguishes
but churns into the deep without dupe, full of blue
cherry bomb thoughts arrive at the base of my skull to rev
the fantasy of a magical combustion made by great intent
She's a star shine chit made for wishing, only jarred
by the purple hues of my dreams, she's quite a sight
universally ours she caresses our eyes with an explosion
of atoms and molecules alike. An element of chemistry
she's a wash bath of cool, like the sighs of an evening high
planetary surprises await while we barely open the gate
so transfixed are we by mundanity that we never deem
the mystery of her capacious heart. Only God is privy to
her masterpiece from on high. She is not a sophomore
but rather an antiquity that fascinates me to no end .

.................Several strokes were made; sharpening this shiV
Sulphuric is the stench; but a sentimental heart; in its echO
Heat beyond conceptualized; melted away my walL
Emotions brought out in forms so basiC
But evolving with flowing skills like a river of lavA
Feeling this intense heat; I am a boiling cauldroN
My personality is very intense; seen often as quasI
Perseverance is a trait; I embrace while others mimiC
Gladiatorial the battles fought; inside this arenA
Fueled I am by what constitutes; life-long fireS
As a cool down begins; I question; what did I accomplisH
A butterflied eye
blinking stars do shine
on every beating wing
as birds softly sing
to silver maned unicorns dancing in a ring
of dragons snapping webs of woven silk
In a swirl of clouds made of milk
a towering blue filled sky
high diving wheels do fly
on a hundred tuxedoed marching bears
humming out sweet honeyed airs
a hammering anvil octopus with tentacles uproarious
playing a melancholy song
on harps long gone
to sea depths of whales
clicking tongues with their tails
while dolphins do a trick to a metronomic tick.
Purple waves a thousand string bows
as I pull out a petrol coloured rose
from everybody's nose
children burst out a laughing bubble
on a policeman turning into a clown
frozen stiff with a frown
a bassoon the size of an elephant bellowing out such eloquence
with oboes and clarinets that slither and snake their way
blowing bugles into bubblets parping out little trumpelets
and saxophones rippling out dancing skeletones
that shatter cymbals and kettle drums into smithereens
blue tongued lizards fingering their zithers
And last but not least a thousand nimble mice who play piccolos on ice
The performance now takes on a darker tone. Is that a flash of lightning?
Do ominous clouds roll in across the sky?
A belated troop of grinning baboons
Sawing double basses
gnashing teeth and pulling faces
As I wave my wand to whistle forth a dark cloaked demon
from an infernal region
to hit grand piano keys bringing the crowd to their knees
blackened sulphuric fingers spread
Inspiring some unholy dread
as cloven hoof beasts clamour
and witches dance enamoured by yer fiery guest
who draws out hell at yer own behest
Purple Cat rings a bell and the whole artifice fell.
5/24/17
Not going to adjourn
Since you never learn
Going to make you squirm
More than a worm
With a stance that is firm
Then make you burn
So that you never return
Showing no concern
No more chances
Or free passes
You'll find out what happens
Over such foolish actions
When you are thrown into sulphuric acid
Or taken out through using gases
Then put below the grasses
And any branches
The universe continues on, as the scales tilt or balance
Whether it was done in good will or from being callous
Once or twice
Might not take your life
But make you pay the price
With the ultimate sacrifice
The outcome chosen by a roll of the dice
Since you never took advice
I think this should suffice
And if not then it will not end nice
Getting eaten alive by rats and mice
Too late to take back what you said
Going to bring you to the edge
And toss you from the ledge
Doesn't matter where you land or if it's on a hedge
So long as you remain dead
Oh well many other lifeforms will get fed
Body parts including the head, brought back to a den
Never seen or heard from again
Voices of fire, booming,
crackling explosions cry out their sulphuric elation.
Another celebration, of every nation and
baby new year’s rattle rings out to the heavens;
transition is sometimes sweet; sometimes sour.
Hopes ride high for the coming months; dreams’
are revived by Father time’s passing.
Like the phoenix, he will rise again;
his labors fill the days and nights of mortal illusion.
It’s said that, we create our own reality;
if so, why does he labor through every incarnation?
Could it be that we are he?
Fire shouts to our collective subconscious
and we are renewed;
an opportunity to create peace lies ahead.
Happy New Year it cries; a new reality waits.
Love your enemies
With my eyes closed I could still see clearly even when they tried to hide the truth from me
I did not need my eyes to see the lies they were telling me
I did not eat the food they cooked but I could taste the bitterness from looking in their eyes,
They looked like they were bleeding internally I had no bandages to stop the bleeding
They spoke to me, tiptoeing around my heart with words that demonstrated the arrogance in their minds
He lays a table before me in the midst of my enemies’ 4some reason I felt like that dude David when he wrote those psalms
In their eyes I was a fool and blind to their candy coated approach
Before the devil’s hands lies Gold and earthly Riches, shaking their hands required profound meditation
They spoke in tongues but were oblivious to my multilingualism
They spoke in parables unaware that my mind instinctively decodes and deciphers
I do not know if it was a curse or a blessing but my mind somehow breaks everything down to its core
They had a lot to say but were unaware that I could hear everything that they were not saying
When I spoke their feelings were throbbing and their minds in pain for the truth is like a sharp knife coach
Cutting through skin with ease like light passing through a thin glass
Like Thor’s hammer my words broke their shields I was not at war but they yielded hanging white flags on their heads
They begged for compassion and forgiveness the guilt they felt was their hell of burning sulphuric flames
These flames do not burn the skin but burns the inner being the spirit
They could not tell any lies or hide the truth
I came to them in a form a white dove emitting light and said “peace be upon you for inner peace extinguishes any flame”
A Determined Devil -
As I lay another cedar beam plumb for our home
smoke plumes, serpentine and sulphuric, interrupts the sunshine,
I look below the ridge, Eve standing silent
with weapon in hand,
a woman so grand,
panic has no rest in her person, fear has no finger on her pulse,
I move like lightning, to war by my Lady's side,
Valley vandels have come, scortching field fruit,
searing insidious signs into our peach and apples trees,
incarnate, the Devil disheveled with a defunct posse of three
approaches me, hailing not from a city of Angels but from a ghetto of ghouls,
mean and ugly like ignorance injured by the ivory tusks of innocence,
a madman desperate for the destruction of Divinity,
unskillful and wishful for lies to come alive,
he's a scribbler scribe, a dribbler riddler
a stereotype simpleton, frontin' and gruntin'
fallin short of the great gangsta idol,
just a stereotypical imbecile, a pencil with no lead,
burpin chicken feathers claimin them to be the silk quill of Angels,
I turn to Eve now
with eyes saying now is the time for demise,
briefly, before I strike steel across the throat of Hell itself
our first promise to each other repeats in my memory,
"I forever fight for you"
as her brown eyes convince me of loyalty, love royal,
she rips her blade through his groin
as I open a river across the throat of this terrible thug...
Raising A Tribe -
Eve, this land is already populated by persons whom seem like us,
although different too, like seasons in soul,
divergent in their dreams for dynasty,
they have dialects from a depth of Dawn
that awoke long before we arrived to thrive here,
customs peculiar as shapes to stones,
Father never spoke of these klans
who strive to survive outside the mercy of His guarded Garden,
competitive as clouds in a shrunken sky,
I met a merchant, a servant to trade,
he told of banners and blood, laws and legacies
cultures savage and cities of crime,
gleamed from telling stories of wealth and wonder,
said they worship their Gods more ways than gold folds,
consider what we have encountered Luv,
will our children slay or be slain, war or work
love or get lost in conquest,
you, as a Woman of God's glorious gambit
have a harvest of futurity's face in the balance,
will you deliver the destiny of our union into this drama...
