Ballad of the poet
When the moon kissed the sun, and light spread upon the earth. *hh*
Bright and early,
early bird gets the worm.
With sullen time on stand by.... *DJ*"
Spurns emerald valleys that blur upon my new-found perch *J.M.G*
While all nature wakes from slumber in timeless glory. *E.G*
Morning glory stroked by a ceremonious dandelion... whisper~ *K.D*
Bitter like morning breath.
Rooster crows, two songs, I share a note with him.
My cat rises to the sun of a new day.
Stretches into a c with her tongue curled and tail furled *S.K.*
My coffee offers the sweetest taste after a goodbye kiss.
Clever and warm, I twinkle to the new morning light,
as I step outside, something pierced my heart..
~Wing broken, his bow in tow, arrows strewn,
~No flight for thee, love lost, bent arrows I see," *R.M*
Everything I see, everything I feel around me.
Becomes a new song.
Born of many emotions.
I roll them on a paper without a pen.
BUT! In my mind they speak clearly to me~
Look into My eyes with your heart... and there you will find your soul * R.A.D.*
"I hear an angel calling The beastly being within" *R.S*
A new creation awaits beyond the path of dreams content,
Eros and Cupid both shoot through my heart." *J.H.*
As the arrow's liquid enters my soul... *RON*
Will that winged creature with the bow and arrows stop blinking his eyes?" *R.P*
He has stretched his wings too far this time. *V.B.*
"His arrow of love is strumming my heart with golden grace. *L.M*
A Halo'd smile upon my face. * L.H*
Has suddenly turned to a grimace! *G.S.*

I waited too long
to mow my lawn
biopsy my lung
yet lived long enough, anon,
however long is long.
Whatever. It's not wrong
to count along
while busy living. Sing
and stay strong
absorb the sun's photons
and store them in your bones.
Those bones
outlast slights and spurns
are white as lightning and strong
as sticks and stones.
Inside is one's
spirit, soul, the nameless one
the one that's never known.
It has no cell phone
can't communicate or even moan.
Therefore. Why complain?
Have some fun.
Soon
I'll be undone
subterranean
my garden burned down.
So what. John Donne
died and so did Milton.
Emerson too, and Whitman.
Get over it. Vote. Love. When
the train comes in the station
whistle with it, wish on
stars with passion
or careful hesitation.
Anything's fine, within reason.
Season by season
things get done.
Algebra and calculus, Malcolm X, George Washington.
No taxation
without representation.
A gun
in every den.
People will be governed
one way or another, by a sovereign
or trusted friend. Corporation.
Men
are more disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than
to right themselves by abolishing the Evils to which they are resigned.
I'm too young
to die! I cry. My generation
cannot outrun the sun
but I want to see what happens
next, a tsunami or tornado, rain
and wind beyond our comprehension
hit in the head by speeding debris, irony
of ironies! plastic contraptions,
rotting computers and yogurt cups, pain
in the baby! Moment's
notice. None,
I notice, live long
enough to see the end. Amen. A million
years hence
human sense
has so modified and mutated among
other moons
we share one mind
and everything's remembered by everyone.
Look it up. There is no death, just perfect rest. A perfect tan
is possible, and work is fun.
I'm going there when I pass on
because souls will travel at warp speeds, using nuclear fission.
About suffering, religion
was right (and wrong) all along.
his pleasure, under twenty-five.
lives like a king…his haram screaming
are they fortunate to be young enough
to find another find…will another man
take Decaprio’s hand-me-downs?
some women are okay with being eye candy,
led to be lucky to hang off his arm.
ladies, don’t think of his big Titanic
but of the eating-Gilbert-grape brother.
gross to join with the devil. demonic activity
surely there. one who spurns the word of God
to bare their bodies everywhere.
God loves their bodies more than they do.
Adam and Eve could only find fig leaves,
tried their hands at sewing, but God
covered them with His only Son’s life.
don’t be jealous of Decaprio - hell’s
staring him in the face - does he look hot
to you? he forgot who gave him life.
his star will fall to the greatest depths
unless he repents and makes reparations.

Mental wavier, oh what a sight
A chain so ostentatious, shining bright
Each link a story, each link a pain
A journey of thoughts, an unending chain
Link after link, it stretches far
A maze of emotions, a prison bar
Thoughts that swirl, like a raging storm
A mind that's trapped, in its own form
The first link, a happy one
Memories of laughter, of days in the sun
A smile on the face, a heart full of joy
But oh how quickly, it can be destroyed
Next comes a link, with tears and fears
Anxiety creeping, through unspoken tears
Doubts and worries, a constant fight
A battle within, a never-ending plight
And then there's a link, with love so pure
A feeling so strong, it's hard to ignore
A heart that beats, with every thought
A bond so strong, it cannot be bought
But along with love, comes a link of pain
A heart that breaks, again and again
A loss so deep, it tears us apart
Leaving behind, a bruised and wounded heart
As the chain goes on, there are highs and lows
A never-ending cycle, that constantly grows
With each passing link, it becomes clear
That life is a journey, full of hope and fear
Through ups and downs, and twists and turns
The mental wavier, it never spurns
It holds on tight, to every thought
A constant reminder, of battles fought
But amidst the chaos, there's a link so bright
A glimmer of hope, in the darkest of night
A link of strength, of courage and will
A reminder that we, are more than our mental hill
So let the chain shine, in all its glory
A symbol of our story, of our own victory
For though we may struggle, we'll never break
Mental wavier, our ostentatious chain, we'll proudly take

Kai Michael Neumann's
' If The Rubik's Cube Was Round'
The alleyways within the maze are paved with rats and mice.
Evangelists with moneyed fists collect the sacrifice
from losers scorned and rubes reborn, and promise paradise,
while in the back they cook some crack, inhale, and roll the dice.
A bum called Boe has stubbed his toe, he’s stumbled in the gutter;
with broken neck, he looks a wreck, the sparrows all aflutter,
the passers-by, they close an eye, and turn their heads and mutter:
“Let’s pray for rains to wash the lanes, to clear away the clutter.”
A river slows neath mountain snows, and leaves begin to shudder.
Though rip-off shops and crooked cops are paid not once but thrice,
the painted girl with flaxen curl is paring down her price
and loosely tempts cold hands unkempt to touch the merchandise.
A crazy guy cries “where am I”, a schizo titters twice,
and double quick a lunatic affects a fight with lice.
The jungle teems, a siren screams, the air is filled with meth.
The Reverent Priest and nuns unleash the Holy Shibboleth.
And Righteous Jane who is insane, as well as Sister Beth,
while telling tales to no avail of everlasting death,
at least imbue Hagg Avenue with whisky on their breath.
The Reverent Priest combats the Beast, they’re kneeling down to prey,
to fight the truth with fang and tooth, to toil for yesterday,
to etch their mark within the dark, to paint their résumé
on shrouds and sheets which then completes the devil’s dossier.
Old dan, he's drunk and in a funk, all mired in the mud.
A Monk begins to wash Dan’s sins, and asks “How are you, Bud?”
“I’m feeling pain and crying rain till soon there is a flood.
And no god’s there who seems to care I’m always coughing blood.”
The Monk, he turns, Dan’s words he spurns and lets the bible thud.
Well, Banjo Boy, he will annoy with jangled rhymes that fray:
“The clanging bells of carousels lead blind men’s minds astray
to rings of gold they’ll never hold in fingers made of clay.
But crest and crown will crumble down, when withered roots decay.”

Rotation of consciousness, like grease in axis,
Smoothens the meditation process in praxis;
Yoga Nidra, like the sleep, relaxes each part,
Meditation, like music, turns an art of heart...!
Isn't hydrogen and oxygen form water?
Nitrogen with hydrogen Ammonia polar;
Ethanol or Lithium or sulphur oxide,
Each by polar properties delightfully dyed...!
Nature gives unconditionally like mother,
Streams, hills and vales could be replaced by no other;
When soul says to fall into their flow if mind spurns,
In us polarity of grabbing highly burns...!
Lust, often, like CO2, extinguishes flame of love,
If both mingle love-life toward delight does shove;
Surrender to the truth brings divine grace of peace,
Lies, conflicts and dominations leave none at ease...!
Splits should give way to unity and lies to truth,
Anger, annoyance and fight should turn gum-less tooth;
Love and liking for virtues, should like palms-trees, thrive,
Compassion, like ember in furnace, be alive...!

I wrestle with my words in aimlessness when I write.
Poetry is a relationship to me, it's a troubled courtship.
I can't come to reasonable reform in words on the spot..
but rather seek intimacy with my thoughts in attempt.
The two of us, man and his romantic notions,
carelessly Laid into tousled affections on a page.
I love her, and the page, she spurns me willfully.
I love her, and grasp in hopelessness to understand her.
I give my undivided attention, my eyes wander her form.
I've sought shamelessly to appease her whispered desires.
But she is a selfish lover, asking for more than can be given.
She, the playful counterpart in a field of rationality, often eludes me.

A Garden Choice Review
Dawn chanced a lifetime free trial,
aged step heed, reflect takes a smile,
advent ease midst obliged swart rise,
upraised eyelids, greet resumed ties.
Askew motif skirts gracious sky,
root arbor involved climbs, brace I,
beg my visit be naught seduced,
by verdant needs that I conduced.
So that my stay appease awhile,
sense garden bear test and trial,
light bred butterflies freely pause,
sweet nectar kids air for a cause.
Circular flight, breath-taking view,
vultures outcast, humming in lieu,
buds mosaic film swaddled highs,
bristled piquant seeps amid byes.
Proud Asters craves near pergola,
challenged view graced Gladiola,
peaceful corner shrined Lilies grow,
pomp Peonies dressed, heels a row.
Daisies pray, tops gold masque faces,
dons Sunday whites, kirtled bases,
Roses steals random spendthrift rays,
soft fate spares prodigal scent sprays.
Cherry Blossoms sublets space loft,
Poppies darts to the sky, face waft,
Lavender peeks, probing yon fence,
while Stonecrops hugs, wholly dense.
Well-played Zinnias, grand casting,
and faint Hydrangeas lacks fasting,
Larkspurs cherishing stellar show,
pebbled stools crept patron burrow.
Daffodils ochers paired sunlight,
dreamt Gardenias sniffs midnight,
Buttercups box, a game of chess,
Meadows re Persians more or less.
Azalea teeming, Chives parade,
Orchids poise, Tulip's serenade,
spurns yon green Periwinkle blue,
sad bids my prized garden adieu.
