The time of peace
Christmas day and rain, disappearing polar bears in the Hudson Bay
and in the USA, a frost bomb explodes over America from Alaska
to New Mexico, a warning of what can happen if we are not alert.
Zelensky tries his hands on Churchillian oratory and fails; this is ok
as his audience is used to their President’s awful stuttering and
forgotten lines are a daily embarrassment to be endured.
Siberian icy weather stretches its cold finger down to Portugal
where people, under layers of blankets, watch TV and experience
the EU, spectacular political power fiasco, blaming, as usual, Putin.
Who will break out of the stranglehold of Brussel’s dictatorship?
the hope was Germany, but she has gone woke, simper in the arms
of the US president; one suspects it has to do with global thinking
Every voice has to be heard before action is taken states; in Europe
taking dictates from Brussel, there is apathy; no one has the strength
to break out of the life-sapping bondage and feel the wind of change

Lest We Forget
Written: by Tom Wright
12/15-04
Our soldiers lie not hidden in foreign soil
Forgotten, to lie alone throughout the ages.
For we dare not forget the cause or toil
Of those lives curtailed by numberless pages.
Defenders all, of a freedom we hold unfailing
O how it seems that during war, time does lag.
A rifle salute, a folded flag, a mothers wailing
Await those heroes returning in a body bag.
And those, the living, harbor no resentment
Having lived this tragic event and surviving.
In life, forever seeking just to find contentment
Leaving Iraq so changed, from their arriving.
Since time began Freedom hasn’t existed
Where willing combatants stood not in the gap.
True peace will never come, but be resisted
For evil is the cornerstone of Satan’s trap.
Your coo, O dove, like the sound of a harmonica, thrills,
Evaporating all inner congestions my soul stills;
Even when you are, as though bitterly mourning, whimper;
An unknown peace fills me; out of merriment, I simper...!
When I hear your cool coo at dawn, my soul gets elated,
As the sweet tone of the Church-bell, rhythm is created;
Your flirting with your spouse has great spirituality,
Your love-filled romantic form expands my vitality...!
Your cry has many a marvelous meaning to display,
By a calm heeding of your cry, my grief gets washed away;
Your heart-healing cry brings my far-dwelling spouse to my mind,
Feeling and pondering on your cry makes me self-refined...!
Cry, O dove, as often as you can, to make me merry,
Cry that the creatures would overcome the mind that's wary;
Cry so that peace and harmony constantly we could feel,
Powered by the self divine this wounded world we could heal...!!!
October motif errand runs toward the end
A winter morn on Orchard street, New York, wandering here and there
Seemingly a gift shop is surrealism, the shop owner sprung from Walt disney
a strange double, so to speak. Adored me with a humble simper
as a blue blazer was my attire with graceful ease and altruism
The blazer and the chest a motif of deep green forest, evergreen blossomed
from a cadence , by the lake. floating afar.

Marvellous Monika Madam
Millennium, asylum of powerful persons in school.
One of the inspiring personalities in its tool
Is Monika madam with her luring qualities skillful:
Smile, courage, oratory adroitness beautiful.
Full of compassion, knowledge, craft and rule
For betterment of the institution in whirlpool.
She strives always in her own Millennium yule,
Helps problems disappear quickly like fuel.
With keen observation picks out a dirty fool
Punishes with care, keeping self-esteem tool
At hand. A silent workaholic vice principal
Is never seen in vicinity. A hardworking cool.
She hates any deleterious, putrid person's drool;
She is the third who touched my mind in school,
And turned my negativity into assured babool.
Ever smiling, grinning, joyful lady with wonderful
Charming face like Punam, with a simper cool.
In life's windy winter is like a safeguarding wool
Increases warmth, coziness, comfort after school.
With Seema, Sushil, Jaimin, Hardik, Amit and Kekul
Creating wonders with her experience and example.
She touched me when I cried in knee deep trouble
With myself alone - a afflicting, agonizing pool.
Wishing god to create safest path for such cool,
Confident, cheerful, substantial, decisive wool.
Millennium, asylum of powerful persons in school.
Sun is held hostage by a blanket of clouds,
reflecting an agitated addict's ashtray.
Birds depart from soaked naked branches,
as eyes seek refuge from the ugliness of change.
I peer beneath this umbrage pitched upon the ground
anticipating a palette of summer to simper back
yet all I see are stick figure shadows frolicking
as this bitter autumn wind encircles me
Symphonies of the sky continuously weep.
I watch petals float in puddles of regret,
so I reflect back to a summer of mon amour,
where Michelangelo hands sculptured my garden.
Reflecting back, delicate strokes within velvety folds
as fingers trace the edges of my heart's blossom
crimson drops slip silently between my hands
for even the beauty of a rose holds autumn's thorns
Secure from rustic debris that blow against windows,
5pm twilight, means no rekindling with my cherished sun.
My shortened days lash back through glares of street lamps
with frosty glass etchings chiseled by night's harsh breath.

Listen to me recite this part phrasis on youtube under my pen name ichthys chiro
Singular and thus finite
begins the spiral's spinning plight
of eminent foretold collision
love commences in a vision
Unbeknownst before the time
an effigy that burns the mind
now filters clear, emotions raw,
the present image striking awe
Eyes and hair on perfect face
with pouted mouth, the heart doth race
into the thoughts, how to proceed?
laggardly? ...with godly speed?
Clumsily one gathers poise
do thine drums work? there is no noise
at the point, this cosmic stead
a vocal soul must forge ahead
Words abashed but striking through
perceived by them, return to you
is that a chorus sounding there?
without belief just simper stare
Lives become one single strand
as two entangle by the hand
joy begins to warmly swell
for fate's occasion, two hearts fell
When you smile my life seems brighter
It lifts the borders of my mind making me lighter
When I see the outlines of your face
They take me away to a far off place
I shall follow you from land to sea
Wherever you are will be the whole world to me
You turn to me to show your lovely grin
It sends a shock felt throughout my skin
Love me forever and envelop me with your smirk
With your tender expression that never requires any work
I shall follow you from land to sea
Wherever you are will be the whole world to me
Your simper is a cure for what ails me inside
I shall pursue your laugh forever worldwide
You are clarity when I’m down and confused
My soul is free to roam when your heart is amused
I shall follow you from land to sea
Wherever you are will be the whole world to me
A Tale of Winter
Words in front of me in sight in their style and in some
weight on the type face I grin beaming with sadness
A crystal ball’s incantation gleams paranormal winter magic
and necromantic I reach out to the dead as a New Year dawns
My father survived frostbitten winters in Russia advancing
retreating dug into dugouts hanging on for dear miserable life
Abused and abusive he followed the crowds steam rolled
in naïve glory stripped to dead bones malediction abound
His quest was misplaced devoured humanity helped to
concentrate ashes like snow flakes melting in the chambers
of what remained crying out in silent pain in the ghettoes
boxed into madness plying its trade ever since and before
Alluring attraction I fled the winters and now sit in summer on
the southern side of the globe reflect cold shivering mind
Songbirds feast on tomatoes peppers spice up the garden
flowers seed beauty insects move on where we humans cannot
Somewhere today it is winter yet my grimace wants smiles
expressions of laughter’s simper ingratiation dignity’s grace
I am thankful for being conceived and conceive and with some
effort I vow that in small steps the wizard enchants from within
Carpe diem I must and fly on the carpet with lantern in hand
