Premium Member Tell Me, Who Do You Say That I Am

Beyond mere folklore
Scriptures and sermons
Magnetism that love inpours
Vibrant throb of blissful elation

As individuated God essence
Christ consciousness spark
Innate bubbling innocence
Ignites love in all hearts

Narrow mind bisects
Distorting Gods message
Divine aligned stance erect
No fears or desires to assuage

I Am that that is the causation
Of each flicker and tremor
Expansion by cessation
In breath of prayer

Love unconditional
Arms open in embrace
I Am proof of Gods miracle
Pure of heart see Me face to face

Open secret hidden in plain sight
I Am the thread binding duality
Known in compassion delight
Breath renewal in continuity

Aglow in the cave of heart
I Am the voice of conscience
Purring within as rapture starts
Gently imbibed by inner sentience

Message thus simple: love alone real
God within is closer than our skin
Feeling of completeness ideal
Form vivifying bliss ignition

Premium Member Why Do They Say-They Say

It strikes me in an unusual way.
Who is this,'they'?
And why do we believe this 'they',
In almost a fanatical way?

There are no question asked!
No saying is put to task.
Not by this poetess~
It makes her arch back!!

We believe each 'they say',
More than any commandment.
I say with unequivocal delay!
Stop saying this, it promotes
grave, mental decay.

These 'they says' are from
dead people, don't you know?
Many from great poets whose
feet were on this earth, centuries
ago.

Many are sayings just lifted out of
their poems.
And taken as eternal truths we live
by.
Not this poetess, by God, who lives by
...'question why!'

I don't want to be a hapless ninny
With a brain of shaky memory that
is skinny.
All these "they says", may have
a warm, cozy feeling.
Not to me~who wants a rational
answer with meaning.

You will find, I am not dreaming
Truth does matter, the Greeks knew
that..
Otherwise, there is just air under
that hat.

Say What You Will

Say what you will
I know I'm in love with you still
I can't stop nor can I help just how I feel
It's all so very true
It's all so very real
So many years ago it's my heart
I let you steal
I close my eyes
I see your face and I'm mesmerized
I let my mind fantasize
That again it's you that i hold
This illusion never gets old
I open my eyes only to find reality is so cold
Even with my loved ones all around me I feel so alone
Almost like to the devil my soul's been sold
What can I say
It's you I long for in every way
Each night and every day
My pain of letting you go is the price I pay
There are words that needed to be but were never spoken
However through it all how I have always felt for you was not broken
I will not allow myself to let my soul be free
To my heart you will always be the only one who holds the key
It took so long but I finally see
I was meant to be with you, you with me
In love with each other is what was supposed to be
You I could never forget
All this is not just a memory stuck on re-play inside my head
So say what you will
But as you can see I know I'm in love with you still

Not So Much What Could Be Described As Poetry Per Say

This could not so much technically
be described as poetry per say

Rather more like just writing down
every single thought

That enters my empty vacant restless
head

And trust me I don't mind honestly
admitting to the fact

My head is probably emptier than

Most

Now I just thought and it has got
me thinking

i wonder if there is an actual contest
or award for that I can enter

Because I could possibly be a world
champion or at very least a close
second

Or record holder for the most pointless
nonsensical existential thoughts in a
calendar lifetime

And boy ohh boy of late I seem to be
or have hit my absolute prime and stride
like I never have before

Sorry to bore but that is my one and
only hobby and thing I may actually be
truly any good at all

Saying and thinking a hell of a lot of
simply nothing of any relevance at all

I wish I could say something

My mouth won't say the words in my heart.
My lips are too soft to say what is in my heart
The heart is filled with a lit of emotions.
My soul is covered with a dark cloud
While my tears filling my eyes.
I wish I could say something.

The wrath in me is compared to nothing.
Blood is turned blue and circulating anymore.
I don't even believe I will see tomorrow.
I can't even talk to myself.
I wish I could say something.

I wish I could say something.
My heart prefers to speak to my mind.
My body is loosing a sense of feeling.
I remember this, I was here before yet I couldn't survive the night.
My body is weak and numb.

My words won't express how the heart feels and the mind can not tell what is right.
My words needs tears to be understood better and expression of crying is nothing compared to what I'm going through.

Nothing interests me like being alone because my heart can tell my mind how it feels.
I go silent when something upsets me or hurts me.
I hoped that this never came to me again but nothing likes to visit my world like a dark cloud.
My happiness seem to be a threat but my sadness is everything that keeps me going.
I've lost hope in happiness because it doesn't lasts long.
My anger and my emotions takes me to a place which once existed in my life.
I wish I could say something.
What's the point of saying it no one will understand me.

I wish I could say something!!!

Some say
History is ugly
Some say
It didn’t happen
Some
Just don’t want to acknowledge
Some
Just want to view the art
Some
Don’t have a voice

I enter the old home
Via the back door
Past gardens full of opium poppies
The old lady
Waddling ahead
Is so proud of them
I dare not tell her
“I’ll put the kettle on”
As she places an old black pot
Upon the wood fire stove
“The old man’s in there”
She pointed a bony finger
At a doorway
A tune floated through
I enter a gloomy room
The old man
Seated in an even older chair
Shrouded in frosted light
From an opaque window
He looks at me
And smiles
Showing dirty crooked teeth
He laughs a little
And continues
The tune on an antique accordion
I take a seat opposite
Watch his frail fingers
Fly across the buttons
His family
Has been here since settlement
The road is named after them
He stops playing
And we talk
About history
He speaks of Scottish ancestry
Points to old smoke-stained photos
On the mantle
He speaks proudly
Of the District
And potatoes
I inquire
Of First Nation People
He speaks of sermons
In Sunday church
As a child
And when the wrath of God
Had finished
Families separate
Women to morning tea
Men to the Hunt
“We shot them from horse back
Didn’t matter
Women or child
They all got it”
His head went back
As if someone had shot him
And he laughed
My gut churned
A silent cry
“Here’s your tea dear”
The old lady smiled down
On me
This whole scene
Was so surreal
I wanted to scream

Just want to buy the art

Premium Member Some Say

Some say
    I am
the product
of who I was
before I was.

Some say
    I am
the result
of a million
little steps,
of all the days
along the way
since then.

Some say
I have
untapped
    potential
to be a force
for greater good
or unspeakable evil,
to walk with gods
                 or be
the devil incarnate,
just waiting
to be unleashed
upon an unsuspecting world.

Come,
have a glass of wine,
enjoy the moment,
set that heaviness aside,
    lay with me,
        and roll the dice.

And if you
do not like
    snake eyes,
you can roll,
    and roll again
without concern

for who she might have been.

When I Say I'M Fine

It doesn't mean
I have the sun rise in my hands
and have it set under my feet;
or that I control the hands of time.

I say it not,
because it's short and sweet
and can comfort my difficult emotions;
or that all my swings are solutions.

I don't say I'm fine
because I am ashamed
of my circumstance
or afraid of anyone's verdict
for instance.

I grew up in hell
where I was taught, in my shell
to deal with difficulties
even before I was hatched

I traded happiness for sadness
chose trouble over calmness,
sanity over madness
later for now.

I say I'm fine
because I know
 this is just the start
for a fulfilling past:
my journey has not come to an end

I'm happier with myself
because the more I live
I know — the more I'll narrow my scope
for I have faith in hope.

I say I'm fine
because I spend more time
on things that add value
not on things I should value.

I say I'm fine
because I believe
I'll be fine.

What I Really Wanted To Say

And I quote "You're so well spoken; I loved your story" end quote
I hear that once about every other week at the current rate
But what I really wanted to say in response was: oh, you mean for a black person?
Or do you imply that my particular vernacular, and painted linguistics shocked your ears
Because your prefrontal cortex judged my baggy clothes, durag, and tattoos would talk like every tv show that needs a black thug…I’m sorry I meant to say African American
It's 2024 and for some reason any person of color still needs permission to better themselves
Last time I checked wanting more was normal not privilege
But I guess your watch has arms that hang opinions not people so it's ok because it's not the same
So just because the shadow is smaller it isn't as dark
That was some of my flooding thoughts that was closed by the dam of a simple: thank you
But what I really wanted to say came in the form of a question
What did you like about what I said,
Awkward pauses rush in and flood silence because it never gets a chance to speak
Awkward pauses that communicate they really just wanted to pay their dues in the form of a backhanded small talk compliment
Awkward pauses I'm way to familiar with so I recline in the anxiety yelling in the microphone
They desperately reach for words running away
Trying to pick up their dignity with a well what I meant to say,
I reply with that's ok and walk into another Thursday
Life goes on and unforgiveness repeats so forgive me if I choose to look out for myself and simply skip the small talk
I have big dreams and I’m trying to be in the atmosphere of those matching that impossible energy
p.s. pay attention with your heart not your ears please…

Find the Strength To Say Goodbye - Losing My Train of Thought

Lost in a sugar-coated lullaby
Lost in a bloody reverie…
Losing control…I lost my train of thought
Watch out – I will hunt you down like game…I’ll watch you rot
But, I will remain downright distraught
I yawn non-stop
As I awaken from my solitary cave…
You’re sleeping beneath the surface – you are unique and brave
You are beautiful and strong
You are sharp and headstrong
I want you to know that I love you so…
I want you to reap what you sow…
Reap what you sow, you know?

Chorus: You are my saving grace
You traced tranquility on my lips
Behind closed doors, there are secrets to unfold
Find your way out of your own maze
You can’t save me this time
Find the energy to run the extra mile
Find the strength to say goodbye sooner or later
Later for now…let me sway away…let me flutter away
Think on me…think of me…
Believe in me…reflect on me…

You’re sleeping beneath the surface
I owe you an apology? You say ‘sorry’ first – say it to my face
I must be dreaming – pinch me please…
Put my worrisome, saddened soul and anxious heart at ease
But, no one can mend these scars from deep within…
I’m falling victim to this one hideous sin….
But, you make me feel great day in and day out (I feel no regret…I don’t feel all
that upset)
Please don’t stop the rhythm of our hearts, beating as one…where have you
been?
We belong with each other…we were meant for each other no doubt (my
mind’s not piling up with excessive debt)
Where are you going? Are you drowning in your pain? Do you wish to drive it
all away?
Do you just wish you could make it disappear out of nowhere? I long for the
Lord’s accord – someday, that day will come and repair our heartbroken hearts
that once consumed dismay and wept with frustration and disarray
