The Fork In The Path
Where does this trail go?
Does it lead through meadows with gently flowing grass?
Flowers dancing in the warm breezes from distant mountains
Bees and birds flying among wispy clouds
With the scent of violet relaxes the mood of the land
Does it lead into a sunset where the daylight fades into night?
Stars fight to be seen in the dimming light
The chirping of birds is long gone
Replaced by the baying of wolves looking for a mate
Does it lead into the infinite darkness of night?
Only lit by the light of a billion distant stars
So faint that it remains a world without light or shadow
Sounds of a distant world break up the silence
An unseen choir of life and death
Where does this trail go?
Three forks coming from the path that life offers
All well-worn and all unmarked
There is no way to be certain which is correct
No way to do other than hope you choose the right one
Light or dark it is your choice to make
On your own
All alone
Just you and a fork on the path with a choice to make
I have a dear old cat named Simba who is wise beyond his years.
He likes to lounge upon my lap and have me scratch his ears!
His soothing purr relaxes me and calms the rhythm of my heart,
But more than that he shares subtle hints that keep me from falling apart!
He's taught me to be satisfied with what I have and not to fret.
He doesn't ask much of me - just food and drink and his needs are met.
Simba has also taught me to set aside time to muse and contemplate,
To take an occasional nap, be of good cheer and to watch my weight!
I've learned from him the virtue of patience (Lord knows I need more of that),
As for hours he stalks unwary prey and pounces upon it in nothing flat!
This inscrutable pal has shown me the importance of perseverance.
His ritual laves have made me conscious of maintaining my own appearance!
'Tis well known that cats are curious and he has honed my curiosity,
That I might apply myself to meet life's challenges with virtuosity!
Now, if only he would share with me the secret of how he survives,
That mysterious matter of reincarnation so that I can enjoy nine lives!

Ringo is staring at my choices
I do not understand them myself I think
He is the wisest of my friends
Golden retrievers being magical and such
I am floating in the ocean
Enjoying my friends the Beluga whales
They have come to welcome me
To reassure me, and help my soul relax
Orcas are here too, not as close
Not that fond of me, I am wary
The Belugas are not concerned though,
which relaxes me a bit. I deeply sigh.
The water has never been this dark,
yet I can see easily several feet down.
There is a rock ledge, I guess I am standing on it.
How did I get here? I wonder, not concerned.
Past the beach I see a lush forest.
Is that where Ringo is staring?
I have a multitude of choices.
Stay in the water, go to the beach or go past the beach
I elect to stay in my dream state a bit longer
my power animals swim off with the Orcas
Thanks a bunch, I think, realizing I have to do this myself.
The cute figurine I am looking at now
is one of a couple at home on a couch.
The guy, at the end of the couch, comfortably
relaxes, a pillow upon his left knee.
With her head on the pillow there at his knee,
his gal reclines sideways while they watch TV.
On the top of the couch is perched a white cat,
which I picture them now and then giving a pat!
In front of the couch of this sweet figurine
is their loyal puppy, completing the scene.
How nice it is to be comfy cozy
snuggling together, a picture so rosy.
How precious the moments in one’s family,
for with those we love is the best place to be!

My sails are trimmed, prepared for our adventure,
I have gazed longingly at the surface of you
Beautiful beyond my comprehension
Your rhythmic calmness relaxes me
I am hypnotized by your serenity
My desire is to discover the depths of you
My bow stretches to your horizon
Still I cannot experience all of you
I float innocently upon your waves
Refreshed by your cool waters
In an instant you change
Encompassing me, crashing against me
Yet I do not wish to escape
My ocean, I trust you with my very soul
As I sink beneath your surface
I am wrapped in your eternal embrace
Colour surrounds me, my being is infused with your joy
The feeling of weightlessness, as we are joined
You are the beginning and completion of me
I was not formed to merely float along your shores.
never turning away from the gentle feeling of you
forever putting the sincerity of your love on a pedestal
that anne murray song in my head making me smile
cherishing each day mostly cherishing you most of all
this diamond ring always shines for me everyday
a song called my belle amie is an unexpected song that we dance to
the electric warmth of your affectionate touch feels as new as the first time i felt it
i cherish each day mostly cherishing you most of all
appreciating the simplicity of life with you
the beauty of you is like a gentle wind in the center of God's Creations
as i hold you close enjoying the vibe similar to a flaming ember,
another song relaxes our mentals....all mind, body and soul with a love that will never grow old
forever we cherish each day mostly cherishing each other most of all....
I'm not a country red neck
Nor part of any clan
My skin is white like ivory
I am a Caucasian man.
My music of choice is Mo-Town,
Hip-Hip and R&B.
Alternative some, heavy metal, Yes.
I can say that music relaxes me.
I have a fondness for romance
I guess I've been " In Love"
I take my experiences and use them
For my stories of " True Love"
In high school I played football
Slot receiver my senior year
A tall, strong consistent target
We went seven and three that year
Now, a grown man.
Twenty something.
Middle class, handsome man
hard working
This merely is a biography
In my own poetic spin
So, I hope you enjoy my little story

Sangria in the hot tub
Soaking all alone
On a cold winter’s evening
In the backyard of my home
Shooting stars cross the sky
I’m amazed by every one
With a sangria in the hot tub
Soaking all alone
Sangria in the hot tub
Soaking all alone
My wife has retired to bed
And so has my little son
The alcohol and hot water recalls
My sins I can atone
With a sangria in the hot tub
Soaking all alone
Sangria in the hot tub
Soaking all alone
The jets massage my muscles
Wine relaxes my tired bones
I sit here thinking up rhyming words
For this silly song
With a sangria in the hot tub
Soaking all alone
Hidden within the dark shadows of night
A dim flicker where once was a bright shining light.
Awaiting for someone who with curious intentions
Brings out desires too hot to mention
It seeps from within and the fire awakens
The wind picks up its pace and the ground is shaken
All else leaves but two hearts pumping
The mind is lost, the body is humping
Each on a path to different ends
Where it leads all depends
One wanting to feel alive
The other only to survive.
Giving and taking what they desire
Soothing the struggles, igniting the fire
He leaves relieved and feeling quite right
She relaxes knowing all is ok for at least one more night.
"The sound of earth is the Music of my Soul"
Songs of the Earth will fill my ear
and bathe my soul in colors sheer.
Tender music of distant shore;
waves remind of time gone before
then lap gentle tunes against pier.
Enchanted music soothes our sphere
Soul relaxes as songs appear
tiny notes surfing on downpour.
Songs of the Earth
Earth sings of night, her gifts once near
Harpsichord songs wake lazy ear.
birds croon night music, tales of yore,
breeze hums the dreams it keeps in store.
Wees sigh on beds of gossamer.
