Written words by James Edward Lee Sr 2026
God is the great creator of all
in all Earth's fullness, see God's mark
even on the waters over the oceans
from its beginnings, when founding the ark
The Lord stands high on His majestic hill
challenging all to be able to be His equal
for holiness covers all of God's features
only with purity and cleanliness can one be still
God's blessing is only for the holy
salvation comes to the humble in heart
those that receive such a great bounty
are blessed with righteousness from the start
The King of glory comes to enter
be sure to lift up your doors and head
for the Lord is strong and mighty in battle
coming to feed you with the living bread
This is the everlasting King of glory
open the doors so He be received
to establish His eternal kingdom
there is the Lord of Hosts as you believed
"Listen More"
(Verse1)
Imma tell you this
Tell you that (tell you that)
No i told you so
Or a matter of facts
Did you stop saying things
Because how people react(react)
That spark in my talk
Sure enough glistens (glistens)
Would it have stood any firmer
If i would've just listened
Has it expired
Not giving out no more extensions
I could lose it now
Or gain it all
If i would've listen
I wouldn't have Missed my call(calling)
Cant continue to keep falling
Wisdom is not a chore
Am i out of it because i didn't listen more
(Chorus)
Listen more(Listen)
Should've paid more attention
My head was hard
Life dealt the cards
Was it the wrong hand
Gotta get it together had to take a stand
So i can fulfill my purpose and plan
Don't want to seem like im tore
Thats what happen when you don't listen any more
(Verse 2)
Your not to old (old)
To be told
Listen please
You can learn more
Revision is a decision
Have i admitted to my wrong
Or am i steady living
Letting life pass me by
Getting stuck i wonder why
Is it because i heard a voice
Didn't act on it because i had a choice
But did i listen
Or did i keep hinting
That i was capable of repenting
My life has much in store
Gotta stop looking for it in self
And look to the heavens and say (Lord i need your help)
(Chorus)
Listen more(Listen)
Should've paid more attention
My head was hard
Life dealt the cards
Was it the wrong hand
Gotta get it together had to take a stand
So i can fulfill my purpose and plan
Don't want to seem like im tore
Thats what happen when you don't listen any more
Bridge: I HEARD A DOOR
WAS GOING TO OPEN
HAD TO GET IT TOGETHER (HAD TO FOCUS)
I am already one of the chosen
Don't want to freeze or remain frozen
I want to reach beyond the sky
Hold up my head when i want to cry
Even when times get hard
Ill meditate and say thank you Lord
Im ready to receive what's in store
Thats what happen when you listen more
(Chorus)
Listen more(Listen)
Should've paid more attention
My head was hard
Life dealt the cards
Was it the wrong hand
Gotta get it together had to take a stand
So i can fulfill my purpose and plan
Don't want to seem like im tore
Thats what happen when you don't listen any more
Repeat until chorus fades

Receive
Listen
Be Still
Whispered words arriving on teardrops of the wind
They call to me
Embracing me so that I may exhale
For a moment in time
I look down to see the child woman curled up on my lap
Quietly dreaming
I stroke her sleep dampened hair and
Caress her cheek gently with my palm
Oh, child of mine
Allow me to reach in and
Cradle your wounded heart
Let me carry your pain and worry
Stirring, she turns her face revealing
A half-eyed sleepy smile
A gift I have treasured for centuries
Remembering the day
I walked through the trees of time
Lime, emerald, forest green, moss, juniper, ochre, and kiwi
Yellow tinged velvet leaves ride silver breezes
Tree people
Miraculous sacred creatures
Birthed of mother nature
Beckon me onward and inward
Towards water’s edge where moving mirrors of
Intellect and mystery await me
I walk with my companion who rides on my shoulder
The white hawk of my dreams
Narrating our passage through space and time
Howl Howl Howl
Stories above me, monkeys wearing fur
Play and swing
Screeching, flying, and tumbling through the air
Reaching sacred river’s edge
I pause and hear silent footsteps
Of the others joining
I gaze at the flowing water
Reflections of the lost ones float by
Faces of those who have passed from this life
I reach out and kiss each one with my fingertips
All of us gather ~ standing and joining hands
Collectively we reach up towards the heavens
We rise as one
Taking a moment to listen and
Receive grace from one another
A glimpse and a grin are shared
As I squeeze the weathered hand
Of my fellow human
Up Up Up Up
We float above the majestic green canopy
A glorious carpet of
Lavender clouds awaits
The day moon and the day sun kiss
As they watch us rise
A moment of gratitude shared by all

I never fought in Vietnam…my parents never had to worry…to fear…to morn…for the simple reason my draft number was connected to the day that I was born.
I sat watching draft numbers being picked…wondering what I was going to do until my birthday draft number was finally called and I was 322.
As luck would have it I had a friend whose birthday was number 4….So I went off to college…while he went off to war.
A war that had been raging for 9 years…causing pain and grief and tears…
Sadly, the anguish and the agony of that war would rage on for 10 more years.
The soldiers who went off to fight…young men and women side by side…like any soldier in any war…they served, they fought…some died.
Over 58.000 young men and women died in that war…a number both sad and profound…some of their bodies never made it home…to this day they’ve never been found.
But those who returned alive from that Vietnam…found their war was out of fashion…they did not receive their country’s glory…nor their countrymen’s compassion.
It was a war that divided our county…pitting Americans against each other…
In the streets, to protest a war, we fought with our own sisters…our own brothers.
Yesterday we stopped at a park near a downtown South Florida neighborhood…where, to our surprise, a replica of the Vietnam War Memorial stood.
The wall was erected to memorialize these soldiers…whose lives went un-completed…with the hope the lessons from that war would never be forgotten…or repeated…
In a solemn, sobering moment I was filled with sadness…tears began to fall as I ran my fingers across the name of my friend upon that wall.
How sad it was to gaze out on all those names…trying to ascertain…after watching what Americans did to Americans this week…if my friend and all his friends hadn’t died in vain.
Wondering in the aftermath of a week where we ignored old lessons…where old mistakes were, once again, repeated…how many more people will be hurt…how many more lives will never be completed.
Wondering if it’s possible, as I ran my fingers along that wall…if there will ever be a time when there’ll be no wars at all…
I believe it is possible, without war, for people to come together, to compromise, to help their hate and anger cease…I believe every language has a word for this…
I believe that word…is PEACE
The veterans
JD Vance and Tim Waltz have in common
they have served and can call themselves
veterans, which has a sacred meaning
They joined to serve and defend America's
values of freedom and democracy
We know that for the two above, it was
about further education, to join but too long
and get out when the going got tough
Still, they are veterans who served.
I think of the men from the many small towns
unknown by most people, they joined and
was sent to Vietnam, fighting a war in
the name for freedom and democracy
they believed in what was said
When a platoon whose order is to take a hill
crawling with snakes and booby traps
they knew what terror was, black shadows
coming up from the earth, killing them
They were heroes fighting a wrong war
The survivors are veterans if they
are lucky to receive a small pension
when they are aged and dressed up
in old uniforms
we are proud of them, know what the
scarify is to die when the people in
Washington needs people who believe
in the defense of America, values call
to arms

*Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Shouldn't have to cry if I don't want to
Shouldn't have to be submerged in the waters;
Shouldn't have to be deployed;
Shouldn't have to hear the noise;
Woos Me
Shouldn't have to die I'm not ready yet;
Lord I love you but my job here on earth not finished yet;
Shouldn't have to cry no more;
Shouldn't have to receive the spoils
I'm over joyed
Over joyed
Woos oh Me
It's hard to believe
All the suffering
Brought on to mankind, this day
I only hope and pray
That God makes it all go away, away
Shouldn't have to cry if I don't want to
Shouldn't have to be submerged in the waters;
Shouldn't have to be deployed;
Shouldn't have to hear the noise;
Shouldn't have to die I'm not ready yet;
Lord I love you but my job here on earth not finished yet;
Shouldn't have to cry no more;
Shouldn't have to receive the spoils
I'm over joyed
Over joyed
Woos Me

He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
Matthew 13:31?-?32 NIV
From the beginning this small mustard seed
Looks foolish to all other seeds
They are puffed up in own soil
For they seek to grow on their own
Not planning on water to flourish
In the need to start a sprout
Just to be left dead from drought
Some that get a splash of water
Will start to sprout but then
The rocks block out the light
But this small mustard seed the farmer
Tills up this land to start afresh
Places in the best soil
That is fed by a living fountain
The seed sprouts up seeking
The leaves are being pulled towards the light
Receiving strength within to grow upwards
The farmer watches and knows it's need
To remove any weeds which try and hinder
All the hard work the farmer has done
That this seed might reach its height
To grow above all the plants
Into a living tree which has overcome
All the obstacles which seek to destroy.
This within strength is here to stay
To allow this farmer which tilled the soil
To receive all glory from His hard work
For without Him it would have died
This seed is the spirit and word of God
That we might see we are dead
Without His spirit to resurrect life unto one
It starts off small for one to take notice of change
But one must stick with the spirit
Which placed this life within
God knows our hearts and minds
more will be revealed the more one seeks
The more one dies to this world
The more one will grow above the weeds
But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?” How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body.
1 Corinthians 15:35?-?38 NIV
A life that creeps along the shadows Somewhere between dark and light
Another part of fantasy offering courage To the Dreamer’s egotistical plight
Dreams so sweet, so easy on the brain For survival sake, he holds his grip
Lost in a world of Make-Believe He plans his fantasy trip
So, hard living in the real world The Dreamer balances, hoping not to fall Holds to his imaginary powers
In a fight to redeem it all
He shines his armor of dreams so bright. And with mail, reality will never penetrate. But his armor is tarnished on the inside. From dreams he’ll never make.
He only yarns for the prize. The honor, he thrives to receive
Does he not know, to the average eye it's clearly make believe
