Love Yourself

Author Dana Redricks
July 2, 2023

Learn to love yourself, a fundamental key,
Nurturing your soul is a necessity you see, for how can love blossom, if all you see is the flaws within.
Embracing yourselves, take the path to love that can only come from the One above.

In the depths of our being, love must reside, respecting, caring, our spirits cannot hide, for in our self-worth, our essence takes flight, radiating a glow, a beacon of light.

Speak to yourself with love, words sweet and kind, a constant reminder, to your soul, to bind, never let anyone belittle or demean, for within you shine like a gem, oh so serene.

Remember, dear heart, your value runs deep, like a priceless treasure, your worth you must keep,
Stay true to yourself, in your own unique way, with self-love as your guide, you'll never sway, or throw yourself to the side.

Bathe in the fountain of self-compassion and care,
For when love blooms within, life becomes fair, Cherish your flaws, for they make you whole; A tapestry of imperfections, a beautiful role.

From the depths of your soul, let self-love arise,
Unveiling your essence, a priceless surprise; Embrace every facet, every part of you, for love starts within, and from there it will grow.

So learn to love yourself, in every hue. The masterpiece of your being, embrace it too; For by loving yourself, you'll radiate grace, a beacon of love, lighting up every space.

Premium Member Internal Bonfire Among Bitter Breaths

As a misty autumn succumbs to winters harsh chilling grasp.
The sky turns bleak and hues of shrouding grey.
The ominous days unfold shorter and colder.

The remnants of vegetation lie pitifully withered and sparse,
as nature rests dead and in the throws of decay.
Early morning frost like sprinkled powder
smothers a barren land
and shards of ice hang from naked trees as fingers of a hand.

Dew drops appear like goose bumps,
along a parade of wrinkly naked trees.
Bare branches and rooftops seem lifeless,
as birds have no desire for frosty serenades.
Trampled iced leaves, decay in ashen damp air,
as snail-like sluggish humanity adorns its seasonal fleece.

Despite winter's scentless bitter breaths,
the soul ignites an internal bonfire -
radiating a vigilant glow to the surface.

The Naked Truth

You have spent a decade and a half in a foreign land looking for something that you couldn’t understand; you have worn the vest and the gown and use the weak to spread rumours in the street.

And when the day is done you walk around the town looking for someone to give you a dead crown, and the elephant in the room knows the in’s and out is laughing at you and kissing the dirty shoe.

Look around the bend and listen to your old friend the man in the suit is dating the woman that has a hundred pair of shoe, he got married five times and his pregnant wife is living a double life.

He has a town house and country house and a flat in a far away land for entertainment and sordid pleasure.

His children are unique and you will never find them in the street, they have studied at the highest level and they know the family business from top to bottom and how to please the disgruntled customers.

He is known as the man that marries five times with a label and a bottle of wine.

Do you want to know the naked truth? just observe the youth, look how they flex and listen to their speech when they are roaming the street.

Look at the strange walk and how they move after dark they are telling you something when they move in the strange rhythm.

And when they buy the box food just observe their mood, look how they eat and how they fling the bone in the street, you have got to know the truth and don’t be deceived

Look around and tell me what you see ,the sun is radiating a strange type of energy, the heat is burning the sole of her feet, and musical train on the line is speeding at a hundred and seventy miles per hour penetrating the dead man’s sorrow.

It is the naked truth that gave birth to time and the mystery that is carved inside is divine and will lead you to your heart’s desire. The naked truth is wrapped up in your youth search deep inside for it and you will find it.

Premium Member Charisma

Flowers bloom in a chromatic aura of delight,
discover the seamless sky's resplendent light.
There is a radiant glory etched into the soul,
evoking eerie charisma with flawless insight.

Shimmering tinsel bathed in a satin dark roll,
straying in a misty shroud of moonbeams toll.
Alas, meadows sparkle with a celestial shower,
radiating a sapphire color as a bursting pole.

Charming, bright, dynamic, and full of power,
a hypnotic smile as dazzling as a vivid flower.
Something to lift the spirit is welcome,
With charisma, even stars can empower.

Charismatic people may view it or build some,
There is an ace line betwixt icy and keen to come.
At a bitter show, you whisper your sympathy,
Is the man insane? He appears to be in bedlam.

It's beguiling how we all have telepathy,
I'm not my visceral gear, charisma, or apathy.
Fake deeds, attire, tone, and words hide real fear,
Proved that a fake me is swell to a fake dignity.

The disparity and effect of charm and sheer,
What happens if you have no links or peers?
It may avow time to equate charm and loot,
Even more, neither will be used as a frontier.

Is anything you sense me that finds me a hoot?
Your beauty to draw me out of my gloomy root?
Still, I am both myself and you in this maelstrom,
My grief and your charisma save that ripening fruit.

we notice gentled response
coming through in dream forms
love as compassion pure and pristine
spontaneously embracing and releasing
forms that appear in our sphere of awareness

within waking state walking with a mindful eye
sentient to the here and now continuum renewing
neither looking back with regret nor ahead with hope
vibrant presence radiating a blissful effervescence
treads gently on earth leaving behind no residue

from time to time and from moment to moment
we notice how life impulsed poses questions
in the human experience we may oscillate
just as we judge not others, we smile
as we so learn breath by breath

Premium Member A Light In the Dark - 1

His light shines
Surrounding me with hope
Everlasting love
Peace that keeps me
Assured of the victory

His light glows bright
Encompassing me with joy
Amazing grace so sweet
Gentle flow of song
Whispered on the heart

His light sparkles
Radiating a tenderness
Kindness so vibrant
It feels like adoration
Breathing pleasure

His light glimmers
Enfolding me with stillness
Silence that believes
Enriches hearts with faith
Assuring with praise

His light glitters
Enclosing me with calm
Certainty that He is alive
Giving hope to every life
Answering prayers

His light twinkles
Enveloping me in compassion
Soothing away all sorrow
Brightening thoughts with surety
Singing silent relief

His light shimmers
Hedging me with protection
Securing my direction
With wonder that is accepting
Of every supplication

His light glistens
Girding me with armor
From the God who is always
There to guide me through the storm
Piercing the dark with His love

Premium Member Sensuality

So intimate is, spectrum of love hues sublime
Vivifying our body, through touch sensory
As we meld into ambedo trance every time
Rekindling thereby, our pristine divinity

Sensuality heightened, if we be present
Imbibing subtle nuances within our heart
Thought rested awareness, flowing with the current
At each instant, throb of bliss ignition restarts

So intimate is, our continual breath flow
Pranic energy, percolating within deep
Moment to moment, innate aliveness aglow
As the nectar divine, into our pores does seep

Mindful presence, equal both within and without
Radiating a mysterious magnetism
No desires remain, onto which ego may grout
Endearing eye, bridging narrow thought form chasms

So intimate is, touch of lovers holding hands
In silence, exchanging love electricity
Their auras intermingling, gently understand
Tranquil fulfilment, thus in continuity

A walk along the beach, waves lapping up the shore
Soft moonlight enlivening the play of delight
Love in love with love for love alone, yearns for more
Teasing caress divine, radiant day and night

So intimate is, the flow of our innocence
Flitting gently from sensation to sensation
Void and manifestation merged in this parlance
A seamless continuum of meditation

Our vaporised self, assigning no preference
All life coordinates having equal appeal
Sensual vibrancy of the divine dream dance
Renews afresh that bliss throbs we so fully feel

Oh hermit! Each touch intimate and sensual
Lived from our stillness fulcrum, as Gods miracle

Abducted On the Bridge

My spirit has been weeping for days
Yearning for a quiet place to stay
To hear strong words of wisdom
That will empower and nurture my wounded soul
The night's are not silent and the days
are rambunctious and noisy
people wandering up and down the treacherous bridge
faces as hard as ice and clenched fists positioned to fight
Nature is crying from within and the tempestuous wind is bellowing
The unapologetic moon peers deeply into my injured soul
unraveling the sordid mystery and radiating a furious energy
I am feeling sad but not confused I am kindled by own fire
parched from within and something stronger than I
is beckoning to come in
I watched the unruly crowd march about in droves
waiting for the command to execute a devious demand
I am locked down in deep sorrows nothing amuses me
I am stifled by the negative energy around me
Cars and trucks going in and out
Buses and trailers blocking the roads
and people pretending to be working but walking about
spreading toxic energy in the atmosphere
I escaped onto the lonely bridge
watching the moon burying itself
under the thick night cloud and
its glares disappears without echoing a sound
The planet slowly swept over me
and without warning something powerful abducted me.

Premium Member Dweller of our heart

The essence of the sun is deep within my heart and soul.
It brings me warmth when I am cold to brighten up my mood.
To see the sun high in the sky on a cloudless day
Is my therapy, I feel replenished, and surrounded with happiness.

For if I am sun replenished, then I can replenish those around me.
Bringing warmth to others when they may feel down and out.
And by radiating a joyful demeanour and staying positive,
I see the sun rise in them as they begin to shine.

Without the sun, we would wither and fail to thrive.
All creatures on earth would disappear.
Leaving a desolate, cold, shrivelled up, space.
This is not a place I would ever choose to be.

Therefore, the sun must reside within our very being.
Although, at times as it hides behind cloudy skies,
Knowing it will come out again, bringing warmth, to everything.
Continuing our survival, is why I love the sun.

Star Gate2 Wander

Out on the edge of the shadow, the day begins
Charting out a course to an aimless star, but not to wander
The pioneer has a map, with key, keeping his eye bright
He is armed, the light sabre, for friend or foe, and shield

Like the fusion that moves him onward, running plasmaCurrents of power, drive propulsion, launch away this ship
Yet first he must meet up with the hulking edifice, the ship
Soon to be parting from this orbit, the beam-core begins

Filled with helium ore and maybe tritium , the ionized plasma
This purring star-drive is ready to launch, to fly, to wander
Directly; the beam is also a current, projected energy, a shield
Meant to direct away oncoming dust, meteorites, too bright

To be picked from quantum radar as space without beams bright
Radiating a plutonium glow within, the pocket between the ship
And dark space, being twisted and warped by this, the second shield
Which keeps captain and crew safe from collision, the flight begins
The deep stars of the galaxy, both bright and dark, appear to wander
From within the tower of the star-cruiser, while it is revving up its plasma

Listening to the beam-core purr, its sufficient to check on the plasma
The captain takes his turn on watch, keeping his senses sharp, his eyes bright
Lest he be invaded, alien ships from without, or a slip of his mind to wander
Long he has kept to himself, on nights such as this, alone with his ship
And longing for the end of this flight from night, for a new day that begins
Without arms or a call to arms. All foes and aliens who force him to shield
