Proverbs 8:17 (KJV) - I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Before the sun crosses the mountains,
Slightly misty just beyond the seas –
There is a passion rising up in my spirt,
A need to chase after the fire, the brilliance
Of the One who silences the wind,
Glistens in the stars and remembers that my
Peace abides because He lives, because
He survives the darkest dread, the doubt
And the despair that create such fear in my head
Before the sunlight reflects the dew glittering
On the leaves, embracing the skinny branches,
Healing the soul with a colorless beauty,
A breathe of richest peace, silencing the darkness
Erasing the worst storms with a powerful
Beauty, a recollection of the sparkling stars,
Shimmering beyond the reach of a heart who
Only remembers the ache, the torturing touch
Feelings, both woeful and willful, urging
My soul to reach out to the One who colors
The entire world in a serenity that flows with light,
A brilliant stream of His paradise – whispering…
Before the morning kisses my cheek, there is a
Sense of the reflections brought to life by Him,
His gentle truth, His sacred reach into my soul
Where I sincerely believe – He is my reason
He is my hope – He makes a way through the sorrow,
He fills me up with a desire as I reach toward the fire
The passion that He stirs when He breathes love
Through the aching spirit that sighs freedom into
The prison of my doubts and fears, erasing the worry
Wiping away each tear with the assurance
That He is alive, inside, where He covers me in grace
That abounds and tears down every wall,
Each sorrow is released to the stars and the
Worst memories, the worst of the past…
Is gone like the hardness that once lived in my heart
He is a good, good God – and my love for Him
Is a love that says, “He spreads His laughter, His
Music, His breath of kindness and creativity…
Through my soul, where I know – I can always be
Certain that He is ALIVE and He is giving me a
Promise of the future, when I’ll be with Him in paradise –
Thanks to His greatest blessing, His greatest sacrifice…
The reason that I’m able to know Him like I do –
Because of His death and His rising – I can know the
Meaning of life, the meaning of love, the meaning
That draws each breath into a smile with that RISING SON!
Proverbs 18:12 “Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.”
In the stillness of my senses, I hear a voice
the voice – often distant, giving me its opinion
when I look at the world and see,
it is me that looks to be, the one I hear
telling me to give into the temptation to be
self-regarding, self-seeking, self-centered
greedy with my time, my kindness, my gifts
greedy, secretly greedy – so no one can see
what I often lack is an altruistic sincerity,
kindness that serves, giving into the voice
that is not really me – it is the One who I know
makes a way through the ego’s greed,
into the beautiful of mercy and grace, completing me
with a sensitivity that can only be found
when looking into the heart that has been reformed
by the gentle hand of One who died and bled,
One who spoke to my spirit when He said…
“let go of your pride – let go of your greed”
“listen to the wisdom of generosity”
“listen to the insights of One who died on a tree”
“listen to the understanding of compassion”
He told me that love is more than the voice I hear –
the voice that tells me to make myself clear
when all is said and done, it tells me to hear
the selfishness of my tone, the egotism
that comes from knowing – it’s what I want, what I crave
what I covet, what I desire…
that are the most important to me when I ignore
the voice deep within – the voice I hear, when
I hear the love that rests in my spirit
when I let go of my pride, and hear what He’s revealing
through a compassion, a grace, an unending faith – love
that comes to say…
on the cross, He made a way
on the cross, He came to say
whatever comes, just kneel and pray
to the One who refused to be self-seeking
with His love, His gift to all people…
He silenced the doubting, the darkness, the greedy
With LOVE – unconditional…
He taught us the meaning, of listening to that voice
the voice – the selfless pleading…
spoken by the Creator who had a plan
to restore each soul and I know He can
free us from our pride, our selfish greed
change our entire lives, silence our egos
and remind us what it means
to love beyond our greed – to love because all we need
is this Jesus who came to breathe…
life into those who believe, faith into those who see
the love that will ever be… the answer for you and me!
"I ain't gonna be nothing,
Cos it seem like f'ever I've been longing."
Tears in the eyes, phlegm in the nose,
Skin so sore, malady of the toes.
Helter-skelter, yet, nothing to show for,
Studied chemistry and physics what have I got?
I've got nothing, but walking,
Turning like a wheel, with no Boris,
Fishing and hunting, yet no prey,
A thousand padlocks and just two keys.
Governments say what they won't do,
Making us seem as big fools,
Manifestoes, flap-doodles;
Serving trimmed rubbers as noodles.
"Eat, eat, eat" they bade us,
Proud to champion course unjust.
Queen of s, Lord of tongues,
Sharpened bolox, Seasoned guts.
Now they stand as the saviours,
Voice so high, dreading as thunder.
More they speak, more they hunger,
Nourished with lies, growing fatter.
What do we do, what are should?
'nough of savagery, 'nough being fooled.
Hey hey hey I'm talkin' you.
You you you you you you you.
Y'all wake up, wake from slumber,
'Nough of dearth, 'nough of hunger.
We goan be sleepers death after,
Now eyes are open, why the scar?
If its dirt they're tissue papers,
Come for bucks, here is a dollar,
Buy the one which is cleaner,
Use it on your eyes and see clearer.
You should now see, yea better,
Humans like you claiming beggars.
Those then begging, now are loiters,
Those then loitering, now are robbers,
Those then robbing, now are killers,
Those then killing, now are prisoners,
Those then in prison, met their demise.
And on and on, Same thin' O'er and O'er.
And we live on in myopia,
Till perhaps come the rapture.
Now we need revolution,
Bundle up and throw out corruption.
Right in our palm is solution,
But we've been feared by confusion.
Change prior to conviction,
Let's agitate for lib'ration,
Kill who should die as oblation ;
Those who're swimming in corruption.
For e'ery bribe they get commission,
E'en loot their congregation,
Loaning 'em to indecision.
Spare no seed of transgression.
Even the bible make no exception ;
The book of proverbs even in extension,
In chapter six verse eighteen makes a correction:
Only the death of the innocent is a transgression,
But of the wicked? Sure purification.
The first two lines would come no more,
If we do what is right as we ought.

**Being in the Moment**
My mother believed in prayers more than my father did. My father preferred to tackle his problems with a flask of white rum, while I believed in the importance of being present in the moment. There are hidden compartments within us, my poetic friends. "Being in the moment" can serve as a helpful reminder if we understand it more expansively.
Perhaps it was true what someone said about dealing with situations as they arise. I refused to grieve for my dearly departed husband because past experiences had taught me to suppress my emotions. My lack of dispassion and willful stubbornness made me question my feelings:
Did I love him? Did I forgive him? Perhaps it was the disrespect that prevented me from doing so.
The truth is quite different. Forgiving an offense empowers the offended. It is to a man’s glory to overlook an offense (Proverbs 19:11). While I can’t change the past, I can learn from it. This wisdom might prevent me from walking through a fire like that again. I would look at his picture on my refrigerator and feel a mix of love and hate toward him. In that same moment, those emotions coexisted within me.
I yearned for companionship, craved to be held tightly throughout the night. If someone can fulfill needs for companionship, love, and intimacy, there’s a greater chance that the other person will fall in love again and again. But not me. You burn; you affect me deeply. I have invested so much and ended up the loser every time. Love seems elusive to me; instead, loneliness has become my captor.
I know that loneliness does not have to be the final word. Even when the world feels against me, I will shine through, like ancient wisdom. I lost the love of my life due to jealousy. He lost me because I loved him enough to let him go. I experienced a breakthrough; I had given up on loving a mortal again. I would rather be alone than live with someone and still feel lonely.
I am not programmed to fail or to tolerate foolishness. Call me stubborn, call me high and mighty, call me the new modern woman. I refuse to age as a failure but instead strive for greatness, relentlessly pursuing my happiness. I know I deserve this. The poet within knows it, too.
As my online followers watch my journey, they should go ahead and do their own thing—after all, life is too short for anything less.
When I was a kid, my county was 'dry'; meaning that alcoholic beverages could not be purchased legally. But there was always plenty of it, because there were home-made stills, and the next county was 'wet'. In my home, it was often seen in the refrigerator, especially on weekends. Seems my occasional stares and curiosity would never end until one day, looking all around less I get caught, I could resist no longer. One sip and I knew that I had never tasted anything stronger. I did not see smoke, but my head must have become a fiery furnish shooting flames from every exit point in my little body. I wondered how anyone enjoyed drinking such wild fire. One sip set my feet racing away from any future desire.
I never saw grandma drink; Mama, once in a while; daddy, every weekend. Some people did bad things when they consumed alcohol; daddy slept a lot. Seems he was nicer toward us, always saying, "I'm going out west where the eagles build their nest". I guess he only desired to go west when he was drinking, because he never moved.
Other than put my daddy to sleep, alcohol served no good purpose in our home. Strong drink consumption and smoking perhaps contributed to his early demise at 58. No, I think that alcohol was a curse and a terrorist that never did anything good in my community. When drinking, people were loud and fought like cats and dogs. Like fools, men drove their cars faster, or staggered all over town acting like clowns. We say that people get high when they drink alcohol, but seems to me they always go low, and sink to the bottom.
Alcohol is one of the greatest abusers; and it is unashamedly villainous. The opinions expressed are my own. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

PROLOGUE
Biographies are for men who have a need to cry
To spell out what we remember is to subtract all
We forget, for knowing then nothing knew, a lie
Conjured by history, there's no a priori here at all
If you will not abuse my love
I will dive for you deeper forgotten things, bring
Up from bottom hate to prove
To be a better god we gladly, boldly took the sting
And could not have merely comprehended joy until
Our serpent made the safe-God to repent of his will
Here is my life strands of sands upon your windy palm
I'm the syllables of every gospel, beginning at the Psalm
Proverbs skinned like rice from the shaft, seeking balm.
History immaculate pristine in no myth ever shall sleep
Introspection vigils struggle between words and memory
Philosophy is a dream, not I, who numbers days urgently,
The sleeping dog will sleep, but my promise let me keep.

IDENTITY
I do not even know how it began, night or day
Rain or shine - nor what season they had interplay
I only know that nine must have been too long since
I overstayed my time and made her grimaced, grunt
And groaned to push me out. So of course, I wince
Privy to so much uncertainty. I have a given month
A date, but what is time alone for anyone's beginning
I want to remember the pool I paddled in the flesh
The long rope that called my navel a primal mouth
The red tide of mud from her veins which so much clout
I was hooked on it, around the perimeter where I thresh
So much more can come from a real truth of beginning.
I mean, how comes we have no control over our beginning
And you expect me in the middle to give you meaning
I will not buy the lie, I choose allegiance but know not how
The end shall fufill its promises of me. The air burns still
Like an acrid vapor on the lungs, and not yet I shall spill
The anger from the fumes of air, nor low ever can I bow
Before the hand that slapped my butt and told me scream.
You say indecent, I say unjust, for he proved no love so
Soon nor knew of me any wrong. The conspirators team
Around a common cause: a man must cry so they know
He has life; my kicking legs were not enough. The water
Suddenly left me swaddled in air and just a little laughter.
I do not take kindly to being whipped, nor did I protest then
About my eviction, and the sudden weight of many things.
I listened to a conversation I didn't mean to enter
but an evil sneer sent in my friend's direction
led me to speak before I realized it was a mistake.
In defense of my spiritual sister,
and the Truth of God's Word,
I very calmly asked a stranger
why he believed the Bible was wrong.
His response was a finger, shaken in my face
and unsavory words I'd not repeat.
I shook the dust from my feet and turned away.*
But before I was able to take two steps,
the stranger continued to rant,
"You know the Bible is out of date.
It doesn't matter what it says!"
I sighed, took a breath and said a silent prayer.
"Sir, if you will kindly allow me to say a word or two,
I'll continue our discussion in a peaceful manner."
He looked uncertain, so I began to speak of my beliefs,
but he stopped me in mid-sentence and said,
"That's nonsense! I don't want to hear any more."
I learned long ago that a soft answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger,** so I said, "Have a good day."
He smirked as though he'd won a victory in a game of Chess,
looking at me as if I were a loser, a pawn, and he a king,
so besotted with himself, thinking he had won.
There was a grin on his face, laced with honied contempt.
I nodded to my friend, and she concurred with me,
leaving at this moment was what we had to do,
knowing in our hearts, it's what God expected of us.
I allowed the stranger to wear a hollow crown
in which there is no honor, no triumph or glory.
I didn't say, "Sir, your reasoning is flawed."
With one more Divine inspired thought I'd have said,
"Checkmate," but it would've been a waste of time
to throw my pearls before the feet of swine..."***
I recalled, "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled,
and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."****
With enlightenment right in front of him,
he refused to see that his reality is merely a fantasy,
so in darkness he remains... His shallowness betrayed
what his heart may have spiritually enfolded.
How unfortunate and tragic it is to me, that blind ones
are concerned about nothing more than winning a battle
but fail to comprehend the reason for the war.

Having experienced the Almighty’s goodness
to our dear Motherland ---
I envision her as constantly enjoying freedom bliss
vis-à-vis accountable responsibility-exercise
among people diligently led by government officials
exemplifying servant-leadership
as they earnestly seek the Sovereign’s guidance
in their endeavour with faith and practice
to fulfill our Constitution preamble*
with daily thanksgiving gesture.
In partnership with the authorities
I entrust to God …
… myself and fellow citizens
for the prioritization of family nurture
nourished with loving responsibility
strengthening home buttress
along virtue values’ pillars
promoting accountable parenthood
along children holistic development program
simultaneous with pedagogical endowments.
Beholding functional geriatric welfare at work
midst relevant andragogy advancements
I view my country with adults and grandparents
basking in their senior years, glowing
still met by physical, mental, emotional care
welcomed with psycho-social health accessibility
as everyone is braced upon hygiene
of sanitation anchor, exhorting cleanliness
recognizing ecological preservation
cognizant of next generations and their future.
With unity’s cord tied by blesed righteousness**
I cling to the Supreme Commander
for the prevalence of peace and order
midst imposition of lawful justice system
balancing truth with mercy
while reaching-out to the less fortunate
toward wholesome lifestyle betterment
vanquishing power-abuse
combating parasitic dependence-mentality
through the fruition of “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”

"Steps to peace with God."***
The beginning to having peace with God, is to realize God loves you. John 3:16 and wants you to have abundant life John 10:10. All of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God according to Romans 3:23. We are earning our sinful wages and they will result in our death according to Romans 6:23. It ail because our sinful nature separate us from a Holy God.
We need to realize we cannot come to God on our own terms Proverbs 14:12. Doing things our own way will ultimately lead to our own spiritual death. And no amount of righteous deeds will pave our way into heaven Titus 3:5. There is only one way to God and that is on his terms.
There is only one way to bridge the gap between us and God and that is through his Son, Jesus Christ Romans 5:8. "Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No ones comes to the Father, but through me." John 14:6. 1st Corinthians 15:3-4 explains according to the Scriptures Jesus Christ was buried and rose again on the third day.
There is only one way to God and each one of us has to make our own decision, nobody else can make it for us! "We must Jesus Christ as Lord and invite him into our lives." Romans 10:9. If we do receive Him and believe on his name we can become his children John 1:12.
Here's how we can receive Jesus Christ: 1) Admit your need that you are a sinner, 2) Be willing to turn from your sins by repentance 3) Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, 4) Through prayer you need to invite him into your life as your savior.
How to pray
"Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner, and I ask You for your forgiveness.
I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead.
I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart
and life. I want to trust and follow you as my Savior."
In Your Name,
Romans 10:13 "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Ephesians 2:8-9 Describes how you have been saved by faith and not by works. 1 John 5:12-13 If you have the Son you have life, and if you don't you don't have it. If you have honestly prayed and believe in your heart and your life. You have become saved and passed from death unto everlasting life
