Stop and take your rest here
all you who search for me
mine are the ways of life
the paths to eternity

I will instruct you in wisdom
and will purify your heart
will wake you in the morning
and at eve ne'er to depart

I will teach you pleasant speech
and prepare your heart for war
that you may love your brother
to commit violence ne'er more

All my ways are pleasant
they will bring your heart delight
with treasures I have paved them
with truths that give insight

Those who bow before me
I will ever make to stand
love is the only way
you can inherit my land

All those who listen to me
will true direction find
to meadows and water courses
to the temple of your mind

Foundations for all of thought
and her pillars of support
her walls are made of virtue
and the truth of God her court

Her steps will lead you upward
to the pearls of her doors
if you will but them open
to walk upon transparent floors

Heaven is her covering
the Son of God her throne
within are those who worship
who will this temple make their home

Some folks spend more'n half their life,
Discussing other's business.
The way they talk and carry on,
Can really shock the senses.

It seems sometimes they know much more,
'Bout certain folks than they do.
They don't care 'bout who gets hurt,
Because, you see, it's all true.

They huddle 'round their tea and cakes,
Discussing all and sundry.
No one's safe from their critique,
They'll air your dirty laundry.

Of course they're sure to let you know,
That they don't just spread gossip,
And if by chance such word gets out,
You're duty bound to stop it.

Why they would never meddle 'round,
Just spurring fabrication.
The very thought they'd stoop so low,
Is quite beneath their station.

Just cut it short right here and now,
And see it goes no further.
Just keep it here between we two,
And just a few close others.

Premium Member Getting Older

Time and tide they do not wait,
We all have heard it said,
And there are those who seem to view,
The ebb and flow with dread.

They do their best to stave it off,
And live in deep denial,
Trying not to show their age,
And viewing it as a trial;

A tribulation of some sort,
A thing to be avoided,
Forgetting in their quest for youth,
That age can be exploited;

For with age comes experience,
That younger folks don't have.
Things that you have done before,
Is to them enclave.

A thing to them as yet untried,
Is foreign territory.
They'll listen to your wisdom,
And practiced oratory;

For things that to the younger set,
Appear a mystery,
For older folks is just old hat,
And it's just history;

So if we learn to use our age,
Accept it as a friend,
We'll age as does fine wine and so,
Won't face a bitter end.

We have to learn to face some facts,
That some things must betide.
You can run from age, my dear,
But you can never hide.

my commitment for exuberant wellness vanquishes doubt-causing misery.

With the Lord's nurture for my Thursday's ministering gesture
my trust is anchored upon prayerful posture, propped by hope-braced stature.

Walking along paths of truth and right on Friday against challenges' terrain
my steps stay under divine providence for great commission's eternal gain...

Acknowledging the Saviour's presence not just on a Saturday, but every time
my fellowship with Him is vibrant, extending to others in His triumphant chime.

Premium Member Visitor of No Appointment

Surprising me, visitor came
with no appointment to exclaim
declaring "I am not to blame"
"unplanned meetings marked my great fame."

My visitor made me rejoice
with good news of achievement poise
affirming that one's biggest choice
is to keep using freedom-voice.

Friend of mine during high school times
narrated events as sweet chimes
including teen-age walks and climbs
as well as our loud chanting rhymes.

Sharing wondrous friendship delight
highlighted surprise-visit flight
full of caring partnership height
midst pleasant reminiscing might.

Thanking her surprise visit's cheer
I praise God for friendship so dear
expressing love though mixed with tear
as friends*--- though far still say, "I'm here."

*Proverbs 17:17 A friend loveth at all times…

Premium Member Trust In the Lord With All Thine Heart

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)

Try to remember that He knows all
Realize that you are His work, too
Understand that His word is alive
Sharing hope, faith and love with us
Teaching all that we need to know

Interesting to know that His love
Never stops giving from above

There are mercies forevermore
Heaven’s joys awaiting us there
Everlasting peace, blessing and grace

Love that is forever surrounding us
Our hopes fulfilled and sustained
Reaching down to us with reassurance
Dreams coming true for those He chooses

While we might not always understand
Intimate relationship with His Son
Takes us to places we’d never know of
Heals us and helps us to grow wise

Alive like the stars in the skies
Love awakens the stars in our eyes
Living inside through despair and strife

Today we might not know the way
He will lead us if we listen day by day
Intent on giving our hearts to Him
Never again falling back into sin
Encouraging others to believe in Him

He makes the days so joyful
Eternally giving us more love
Always allowing our hearts hope
Reminding us that we are so loved
Trust in Him today and be saved!

Premium Member Touched By a Servant Light

In God’s ministry
where love does prevail
her life-impact shines
since grace does not fail.

Though she’s senior now
still she’s young at heart
vibrant and active
to fulfill her part.

With cheerful spirit
she keeps reaching-out
as strengthened by Christ
her smile smites child’s pout.

Her orphanage tasks
bear her earnestness
wondrous meals she cooks
taste of sweet kindness.

We call her “Nanay”*
word of endearment
being a good Mom
priceless achievement.

Midst her prayer life
the Lord keeps blessing
great testimony
of upward pressing.

Volunteer teacher
in discipleship
she leads her students
to God’s partnership.

There in the garden
she tends plants with zest
nourishing flowers
while vanquishing pest.

Meanwhile our dog pets
smoother her with kiss
bathing them always
her hugs they won’t miss.

Praise of hers** inspires
yes, she’s a delight
touching me indeed
by her servant-light.

*Nanay in Tagalog means Mother. This person is NANAY LIZA ZAUSA.
**Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

It is recorded in the Bible that the memory                                                        of the righteous will be a blessing;
And it further states that the name of the wicked shall rot.*

Such truths were never more refreshing when I recalled pleasures of my childhood.
Just around the bind from where I lived
Was a home with a television set.
For me and my friends, this meant the
Three Stooges, Tarzan, Mickey Mouse,
Roy Rodgers, Dale Evans, and The Lone Ranger.
I and other kids all around the neighborhood gathered
And watched make believe, never fearing any danger.

This first television set in my poor community grew kids aplenty. As we were being entertained, we fell in love with a gracious lady.
Some people give nothing to others, and are soon forgotten.
Many like our lovely neighbor, are best UNFORGOTTEN.

A dear friend of my mother, she was strong, gentle, and kind.
Her husband called me Gabby, and her name was Mary

* Proverbs 10:7

Her

One day I saw a meme that said “When you are HER, you never gotta worry about them” ….
I say, “when you are HER, you don’t worry about them.”
I say “when you are HER, you shouldn’t worry about them.”
I say “when you are HER, you never worry about them.”
I am HER
Sis, you are HER for HIM.
It is written, Genesis, chapter 2, verse 22 “He brought HER”
HER, HER, HER
“At last” (My love has come along), “Finally” (It has happened to me) Bone of my bone. Flesh of my flesh. He knew HER.
HER man will know HER.
I am HER
If he does not recognize HER, she is not his HER
Still, she is HER
Sis, we are all HER for HIM
In a past life, she didn’t know HER. She allowed him, they & them to access HER benefits but they, him & them were of no benefit to HER, just wanted to benefit from HER because she’s beneficial and has always been official.
Now she knows HER
Now she loves HER
Apple of Gods' eye, Beloved of the Most High
She is more precious than rubies, clothed with strength & dignity, energetic & strong. Proverbs 31 woman is she
She is me and I am HER
