Fer these er nay stumblin' on a reality
that er givein' us reasons to be spooked
fer our future en global stability...
gee! wake-up we should be scared,
gosh already we're experiencin'
more, a disastrous global effect
naught! a creation of science fiction
as one passed would expect,
en weather severe, storms violent too
tornadoes, earthquakes also tsunamis...
his Prophesies are a comin' true,
those writ's of Nostradamus,
political upheavals, endless wars
rising socialism in Latin America
that Middle East those African shores,
widespread poverty there en America
Is er thing, as human beings we can do?
Have an earful of world leaders...
Fer aggressive plan, is to come up with
We are desperate, en your a leadln',
reduction plans also action,
over-consumption of resources
address overpopulation...
an produce high gas emissions,
oh, listen to that fiddle!
Hell's broke loose,
much so long so, they've fiddled
An' hell's broken' loose,
we can start changin' our world
change in ourselves,
an will change er a little,
en will eventually make a difference
when we're all changin' nor fiddlein'
en our time is nay lost
let's act now an together,
an before it's too late, life is too short
I'm footloose and fancy free.
My youngest daughter is twenty one.
I've just returned from having fun.
Visiting each and every one.
Isn't it bliss to see them grown?
Fully formed adults on their own.
Confident, carefree, full of plans.
Before they settle with a man.
A job well done, I can relax.
Think of only me in fact.
The pitter patter of tiny feet.
Will be the next I have to greet.
I'm not a grandma yet, oh no!
Now is my time to let go.
Travel a little, while I can.
Perhaps meet a new man.
It's a nice way to be, fancy free.
After a life of dedication.
Now it's time for meditation.
Relax, breathe, rejuvenation.

For Fancy Free contest.
My opponent will destroy democracy
But my opponent will normalize hypocrisy
My opponent pays hush money to whores
Well, my opponent snoozes in meetings and snores
My opponent’s in cahoots with radical progressives
But my opponent’s tax cuts are regressive
My opponent is in bed with Putin
Well, my opponent for Iran is rootin’
My opponent’s spending will stoke inflation
But my opponent’s plans will increase starvation
Enough! Stop! Cut! Halt!
It’s not all the other guy’s fault
All this negativity makes one thing clear
I’m voting for the first candidate I can cheer
We love feeding and watching the birds which is why in the mountains when we’re there
if you visit us there’s a good chance you’ll see bird feeders everywhere.
It seems like such an easy task..fill the feeders…and see what birds we’ll greet….
but there are squirrels and there are raccoons who also like to eat.
The squirrels attack the feeders in the day…
while raccoons like to feed at night
both have one trait in common…an unending appetite.
As anyone who has ever had a bird feeder is aware
squirrels and raccoons are selfish…they do not like to share.
We’ve come up with a host of well-thought-out plans…but each one we’ve had to repeal
when the little bandits kept devising new and better ways to steal.
Until we remembered Deborah’s father…
he was gardener who always planted extra vegetables
for any animal who happened by….
and decided with the squirrels and raccoons…his solution we’d apply.
So we purchased extra bird seed…and opened the Balsam Birdseed Café
Now…we refill the feeders as needed when the squirrels feed throughout the day.
And we make sure our feeders have a little birdseed in them before we turn out the lights…so the raccoons will have a little snack when they visit in the night.
This way everyone is happy…we have a host of birds we get to meet
and their neighbors the squirrels and raccoons get enough to eat.
This also makes it easier to come to terms…
as each new day and night unfurls…
how for years we have been outwitted by raccoons…
and outsmarted by the squirrels.
I have kept all my stories, since the day I was born
Safe in a jar, some new and some worn
I will pour out a few, to use as my muse
When the light bulb denys me, or my pen has no use
Battered, and chipped, and dusty with childhood
Filled to the brim with my plans and my schemes
Losses and triumphs, friendships and kindness
Goals and ambitions, are mixed with my dreams
It is fragile and slippery as a wet bar of soap
I have stored all my heartache, and mixed it with love
I have poured in some worry, with the good and the bad
My jar holds my stories, from the day I was born

For Susan Burch's Contest: " Jars"
Novel: an arduous venture on which to embark
Epic, heroic, a thriller or lark
Wresting existence from light or from dark
But whatever the challenge, exist it must
Extracting its life from whom it must trust
Grey are the notions the writer explores
Indulgence: reward for all he endures
Nigh is the world that sprouts from his mind
Nothing prepares for what he may find
Inhaled: the thrill as his computer screen
Nods in directions he hadn't foreseen
Go write that novel, o creative hands
Suspect and accept, it shall have its own plans

Secrets in the palm,
are revealed in time.
Head line, heart line,
life, destiny and sun,
are roads we travel.
Rising mounts,
reveal one’s purpose;
decisions and plans,
are all there, to be seen.
Attitudes and moods;
beliefs and ideas;
the past and the future.
As the tempests of life rage;
we can see the outcomes.
The the open heart and mind;
comes clarity.
Hopelessness, does not exist,
For the open-eyed.
We have more than two eyes, available.
Rightly utilized vision,
birth’s the sage;
knowledge is finite; wisdom, infinite.
The souls GPS, a karmic road map,
comes with every newborn.
Mistakes and failure,
consume those, who cannot read.
With gleefulness, we wait for spring to show-
as winter slowly fades away each year.
Enough of weather with cold temps and snow;
we're set to welcome sprouting vernal cheer
from sleeping trees and plants beneath the glow
of warmer sun and longer days that clear
the way to revel in the joys of spring
with vibrant blossoms and sweet birds that sing.
Soon, verdant leaves from wakened buds will sway
and dance amid the soothing, gentle breeze,
as pansies and forsythia make way
to paint fine pastel art with hues that please,
while tireless birds, with grass and twigs, crochet
their nests to fill with life among the trees.
Entrancing springtime plans and shapes its days
to bring us gifts of rebirth that amaze.

My unconscious Left
distrusts shadow Right.
And my reductive subconscious Left
mistrusts Win v Lose
Light v Dark
Ego v Eco shadow sacred Right
And fully conscious Left
polypathically trusts WinWin
Ego/Eco bilateral balance
ego Left with eco Right,
Positive as at least notnot Negative Energy
politically empowering Trust.
When Left plans high priority
policy practice procedural learning events
with Right mistrusting subconscious anxiety,
cognitive Left v Right
as Ego v Eco
as Yang v Yin not caring
daring to notice
each revolutionary bilateral Other,
then it could be therapeutic
to bring WiseElder EarthMother
holonic EcoSpirit
subshadow yin
cooperatively WinWin along
my evolutionary Yang planning highway
of yin's revolution
practicing healthy democratic trust
generating more resilient systems.
Not so much investing hundreds of millions
of taxpayer money
on corrupt undercover
absence of health care giving
and receiving nonsystems
still wearing mission statements like
"Always and only invested
in the child's best interests."
before I start please allow me to say
that if you don't see your name, please have no dismay
but I just had to write it this way....
everyone here is inspiring....at least to me....
"Poetry Souper Heroes"
by: Eric L. Boddie
If only Dr. Upma A. Sharma had seen
That Ligella Mandraki was an Angel with Broken Wings
Then her complaint could have been resented
And for whatever her need, she could let Emile Pinet
Because Robert Lindley and Catie Lindsey had plans for The Lyric
Poet Destroyer....A wordsmith like me just wouldn't hear it
So I sought out the Bev-Smith, she creates irons to Beautify the hair
But I only found Lycia, Harding a journey I thought was so fair
But what I found most surprising was the presence of the Silent One
Who said his very first words, which was simply, "Alexis? Young"
Maybe this was a warning, I mean it's not right to Skat A child
TOMMY....BOY you better stop could be heard for at least a mile
He said he was a Tim Smith, but how do you create Tims
He said he had 37 sons and that was the name for all of them
In search of the Lone Wolf Mystery, but all he ever knew was to poke her
Only Pandita Sanchez said no, so he made Eve Roper
With a bold look, he told her "let James In-man"
And she said "I ain't no dude, I am like Jan, Allison, Anne, Lise, And-resen"
And then he saw her and said "Kum-kum Sharma, please let her in...."
to be continued.....
