Dreamweaver

There is a sense of wonder in your eyes
I can't understand your marvelous cries
I am surprised by your approval to let me go... I thank you wholeheartedly, you know?
I'm left in pieces in the woods of my mind and I hear the midnight crow

I'm a dreamweaver, tracing the auras of the eclipse
I'm facing my nightmare with much bravery in a bittersweet glimpse
I'm starting to grow fond of you,
Even if you are a dream come true
I'm starting to be attached to you,
Although we've parted ways out of the blue

I smile at the sand of the sea as my hopes never grow dry
I wave at the birds, taking wing
I nod at the sun in the sunny sky
I admire the scenery before my eyes as I gracefully sing

So terrified by the whistling wind of the west
I'm trying my best to pass life's difficult test
It's getting harder and harder to see the bright side
Something tells me not to worry, for I'm on God's ride

I take a bow at the sunset before me
I am in awe as I see the night approaching
I take a swim into the waters of vitality
I am willing to dive deep into the waves that are leaping

I am a true dreamweaver
I have become a believer
I'm sure my future isn't a blur
I will endure this hardship for sure

There is a cure to the pain and sadness of life
There is a Savior that will set us free from mere strife
I know that life is so unkind sometimes
We just got to have faith, even in dark times

I'm waiting for the moonlit stars to shine their lights on me
I'm praying for a time when chaos and corruption will fade away
I'm staying right here next to you until the end of time takes place
I'm figuring out the footprints that lead to your gracious face

I'm an angelic dreamweaver
I was made to be a believer
I'm a genie that grants three wishes to the overachiever
I'm enjoying the thrills of life's bizarre experiences that knock me over

I'm a splendid daydreamer
In the wintery nights, flowing with elegant coffee and creamer
I'm a long-suffering believer
In the shadows of the light, glowing with satisfaction and pleasure

The Rain (The Reply) By:Lakeyia Clark

The Rain…(the reply)(By: Lakeyia Clark 09/05/09)

If it’s always a rainy day...how can I see the sunshine
If the clouds never move...am I wasting my time
The clouds are like giants that I have to face
I’m an overachiever of course but will I win the race
Do you hear the rain and how its pouring down
Where is my happiness...it can’t be found...
Wanting much more for my child than I ever had
I still try to make it throughout the good and bad
Wrapped up in bondage from the things of my past
This pain is deep inside and I'm just wearing a mask
To cover up the pain that’s rooted deep within
To cover up the past and the hurt that nobody can mend
I don’t want to deal with it anymore
But I know I have a child to live for
The ugly truth has been revealed
In not so many words yet this is how I feel
With hatred and bitterness towards each and everyone
Men are viewed as predators and the damage is already done
But I try not to let that hold me back from succeeding
Though I'm happy now, my heart keeps bleeding
Bleeding from the beatings, cries, and scars
I try to erase them but they are what they are
Permanent damage to an innocent soul
Sleepless nights and I carry a load
Every night I sleep with the pain
Running from pain to be with what won’t hurt me
Crying out for happiness and to find my sanity
Every day I walk in the rain
But if I walk the other way what would be there
Would I be setting myself up for something I can’t bear
Would it be more of pain and less to gain
Or would it be a way for me to see through the rain

Ethereal

a single drop
escapes and shapes
the one reforms into the many
forces merge and maintain the center
as an ocean to a clear running stream
effortless delicate movements
the beautiful semblance of creation
only free when infinity extends an open hand
we gracefully bend submitting to the wind
ever escalating the highest life and limb
gales roll in and away
drifting wide and floating astray
iridescence is indescribable yet defines
the sky as she decides a color
her choice always a brilliant contrasting horizon
grandiloquent patterns push to lavish design
extending to no less than the highest point
contours of jewels and soft silky edges
expand in the flourishing demand
moving on in an elaborate showdown
illumination has changed direction
mist is abundantly clear
looting and diverting a moon’s glow
enhancing the sky’s light with spectrum’s of sight
diamonds in the sky
these silhouettes fall into a slow embrace
obscurity celebrates movement
with this final chance in a dance
abstract is an overachiever here
endlessly molding a new shape
a familiar sight replaces the mirage
swarming the moonlight to be still
to see the secret inside a shimmer
the very heart of all things
where a reminiscent choral sound
rhapsodies pure aesthetic
calls you to a sublime slumber
magnificent claims this place of illusion
a majestic showing of dreams and nightmares
more is all we need
patiently we await the kiss from bliss
her touch behind the eyes
opens up the skies
for an Ethereality

Premium Member Not My Brand

That's all science fiction was ever about.
Hating the way things are, wanting to make things different.
RAY BRADBURY, "No News, or, What Killed the Dog?"

NOT MY BRAND

like being caught with a pack
where authority makes you smoke
one and all.

i read...i read...i read
some more

my workplace, my home.
their stare has followed me home
yes, i must confess

i’m an overachiever,
believe it or not —
given a task,

Waldo, i’ll find you.

i drink Dandelion Wine
until i die —
life and death,
sick to death
of dying.

i sop up Soup
with crusts of bread
cannot waste
a single drop.

i read...i read...i read
some more

and Holy Scripture
the great bounty of crimson words,
the red thread pricks
my articulating tongue.

i read...i read...i read
some more

on the back burner—
Blackout,
which i might —
had a hard time figuring
out which genre’s not my favorite,

whaaaat?
had to ask my husband
from a list,
what do you think, soooo

we came up with Science Fiction.
but
you
never
know

it might just be the read i need it to be.

i read...i read...i read
some more

on the chair, on the floor,
the writing on the wall.

i might just be sick
~ of books ~
when i finally
power walk into the library,
slick.

because there’s always
another book or poem or verse
to smoke, so

i light up my face
and read and read and read
some more.

It's All Me !

Something has change since the last time
Time I’ve dreamed
Last time I took time to breath
To look in the mirror
But now I look at others with out fear
Fear of knowing myself
Fear of seeing and knowing
What others dare not to see
And the knowledge that is yet to
Be obtained
But never forgetting that some
Things I’d must not change
Although I’m not quite sure
Of what drives me
But yet reassured that I
Am no longer dieing
For I was surrounded by people
Whom refuse to change
Yet talk of it but yet remained
The same
Fore they was trapped in time
Of yesterday but my goal has
Been to push forward beyond
I can dream or even say
This drive of Destiny has token over
Although it sometimes is a lonely road
But I can’t turn back to a home
Which has burned down in the middle of?
Winters cold
I feel kike CPR has token place and
When I breathe again I feel so out of place
Not of my surrounding
But of time of time which has passed
For it seems just like yesterday when
I’d stayed always mad
Mad at others, time, things and even myself
For being and overachiever of more that the rest
For being multi-talented have its gleams and charms
But it can also smother you with its own bare arms
For you can feel the presser of the pillow and the ghost
That is there to assist
But God has given me CPR that keeps me alive for
He is my life support
This is not a suprise

Become Who You Truly Are

Don't go with the flow if your direction is not pointing that way.
Don't copy others just because you are scared showing yourself.
Don't fear contradiction or being different.
It Okay to become leader of your own destiny.

Flexibility help you understand the others view.
Decide what is best for you and what it takes to make a dream a reality.
Discharge from you the negativity like if the are toxins.
Become an overachiever from the monsters of life

Balance is a challenge but is best to have it as a survival technique.
You have powerful weapons in your hands.
Use your talent, Become your talent, and embrace your skills.
Love yourself and Balance in harmony to attract the good spirits of life.

You matter regardless of the negative thinking that makes you stumble.
Don't let goblins and dragons defeat you.
Don't let the beauty of your fear stop from your goals.
Dreams do come true if you don't give up and work upward towards it.

Become who you truly are.
Those who really love you will accept you as this.
They will become your friends, fans, mentors, and the aid from heavy rain.
Your never alone in this world so let your colors bloom.

Premium Member Fingerprint Failure

Applying for teacher certification
I caused one technician much consternation

My fingerprints had simply not registered
Again and again the test he administered

“Guess you could have had a career in crime,”
He retorted reapplying ink grime

He said this had never happened before
But the results he surely couldn’t ignore

He sent me to an experienced tester
Who made many cracks, joked like a jester

He claimed my blank prints were quite unique
Turned over my hands just to take a peek

The delicate lines could scarcely be seen
And the fingers themselves were awfully lean

“What work do you do?” he asked with a scowl
As he removed the ink with a towel

“I now type 82 words per minute,
Most of my life I’ve been immersed in it"

My helpless fingers were worn to the bone
And my tester let out a mournful groan

Apparently pounding on my keyboard
Had produced an undesired reward

Faint thumbprints revealed no criminal record
And I won an overachiever award

Typing is essential to the work I do
Next time they need prints, I’ll remove my shoes

Dear Heart

Dear Heart,
I’d like to file a formal complaint
It seems that your an obsessive overachiever
That you take your job a little to seriously

Dear Heart,
Please stop breaking yourself into a million little pieces-
Because you fall in love with ideas and hypotheticals
Because you color people before they can show you their true aura

Dear Heart,
Why
Why do you find every crumbling transparent excuse for the world
But somehow you make yourself bleed
Why can’t you put up a wall against the hailing obscenities
Why can’t you knock down that wall for a genuine whisper

Dear Heart,
You were supposed to be a road map to happiness
But it seems I’m lost somewhere between I love you and I miss you
You are supposed to find contentment in success and lessons in failures
But you grasp for the next and the regret

Dear Heart,
I know your tired and broken
But Brain is telling me to tell you to stop crying

Dear Heart,
I’m sorry I yelled at you
I’m sorry I thought a bandaid was enough to fix you

Dear Heart,
I know your Shattered-
But I promise I won’t lose the pieces

You Are,You Are,You Are

Flowers awaken your inner sleep. A precious pearl turns into a charming look that paralyze your mind with a love at first sight sign. You are tickled into a coma on hospice care. You died and now you have been brought back to life with a Jesus Stare. Your emotions of spirit rebounds into a love desire. Their is a cluster of clouds vaporized as you reach up higher. Your a moment, a thought, a memory in action. Your a soul, a race driver, a prayer in motion. You make your moves in persistence of character. Your an overcome patient who is a contractor in fixed behavior. Who you are is what you became to be. Eyes close eyes, once a blind man, a born again Christian who can now see. Deliverance in Peace as your rocket hits the sky. Clinging on to hope with an eternal cry. Your an overachiever, a free blazed spirit, a dancing lyric, a person of interest. Many believers will celebrate with you with a spark of Church friction. You are who you are, a shining star. God Bless!
