I'm afraid
My voice has lost volume
My words are written
But scarcely read
Perhaps I've become repetitive
But I have worked so hard
To not give in to depression
Some days I feel brilliant
Other days I feel worthless
I have no friends
I have no confidence
My last sanctuary crumbles
But even if I prayed here every day
Those prayers got me nothing
In the end I'm all alone
A congregation of one
And now that I've lost my faith
I wonder what I have left
If I even have anything at all
Poetry was always my last refuge
A talent I could pour my soul into
A place where I found an inkling of self-worth
Through the years my voice evolved
And my message matured
But in the end it's the same desperate call for love
For ten years I sought companionship
As I watched all my old friends leave
This is my last verse
Possibly forever
My personal flaws are too great
For me to overcome on my own
And there's no hero out there to save me
So I'll regress and let the darkness fester
But I'm done pleading to a world that doesn't give a damn
Writing poem after poem
Rewarded with a rare pitiable nod
And the pretense that someone actually cares
I'll set every word I've written on fire
Thousands of them
Maybe even millions
This last poem of pain and rage
This is it
My fingers tremble
My eyes are filled with tears
I'm afraid
But it's time to move on

Lost Temporarily

I’m lost and I need to be truly found

I’m so lost because my gladness is in the heartless grave

It is buried in the cold-stone ground

It’s my fault for losing you and I’m a fool that’s not brave

I’m lost

I sob

Need some…affection

I’m found

I smile

Need no more…rejection

I remember, walking in hallways

In hopeful days…in a hopeful daze

I see your precious eyes shine these days

We lay together as one as my mind strays

I’m lost

I sob

Need some…affection

I’m found

I smile

Need no more…rejection

I can’t live another day without you

I would cry tears of worrisome blue

I can’t just give up and move on from here

Our friendship is the ship you and I should steer

I’m lost

I sob

Need some…affection

I’m found

I smile

Need no more…rejection

I’m lost, but found in your arms of trust

I’m lost, but found beneath lust's dust

Clear it away so I can go above the clouds

You always seemed to be my shadow shrouds

I was lost long ago,

Now I’m finally found, but still, our difficult lives has just begun

Let the breeze blow

I grow and glow like the glistening sun, so don’t you doubt, hon

Knowing What I Want

I fell faster than the seasons could change.
With every bone I tried to abandon
The feelings I had for someone that I cannot have
Wanting not to settle but feeling as if the choice is not mine to make
He is better than anyone else
I feel safe, happy, and warm in his embrace
I know who I want but it's the one I cannot have
All I want is to be happy except all I can do is put others first
Not knowing if he feels the same
Comes with the shame of the feelings I keep tucked inside.
We are meant for eachother but we put everyone first
Wrong place, wrong time? No, I see it as wanting someone to be yours even if it hurts you in the end
Wanting? No, needing to be with him and only him is the hurt I bear alone.
Will he ever feel the same? Or will he leave like the rest?
I don't want to find out, but I must in order to move on and settle into being happy.

I was waiting for my discussion circle to show up,
about to conclude our reading of "Sacred Instructions"

When I saw a list above the server
in the library of Unitarian-Universalist wisdom,
Ten Things to Remember:

The past can't be changed.

Opinions don't define your reality.

Everyone's journey is different.

Judgments are not about you.

Overthinking will lead to sadness

Happiness is found within.

Your thoughts affect your mood.

Smiles are contagious.

Kindness is free.

It's OK to let go and move on.

In my Taoist way,
I took notes,
while transliterating the yin side:

The past can't be changed.
But can it be redeemed?

Opinions don't define your reality.
But feelings do.

Everyone's journey is different.
So your journey is not replaceable.

Judgments are not about you.
They are about us using punishing weapons
before trying empathic, and diplomatic, listening tools.

Overthinking will lead to sadness,
and bureaucracy.
But under-feeling will not lead to gladness,
or democracy.

Happiness is found within.
While sadness remains without;
and both are found in felt conversation
of climates within
and without.

Your thoughts affect your mood.
Your climate effects your feelings
about what you can and cannot do
about your mood.

Smiles are contagious.
So are frowns.

Kindness is free.
Meanness is prohibitively expensive.

It's OK to let go and move on.
It's also OK to hang and move in
to win/win hopes
and move through mutual detachment issues,
histories more curiously reattaching together
through mature listening skills.

Hope

Who's The Good Apple of the Bunch?'s Series Chapter 1:

Hope ~

Hated for what she says or does…I can relate to what happens to her everyday somewhat! She’s been taken advantaged of and been bullied all her life, especially by her mean sisters…she’s an emotional mess and scared to express herself, except in music – the family’s main passion
Oh! So hopeless, stepped on like a dusty doormat, and a same magnet – her personality’s the opposite of her name ironically! She bottles up everything inside and she’s not so good of an influence on her one and only niece; however, she’s special and blessed in her eyes!
Pain fills her aqua-blue sky eyes…her beloved niece is leaving sadly! Oh well…she’ll get over it one way or another! Just leave her be and she’ll move on with life, even with a broken heart…there’s no one to speak her mind to now! Her feelings were meddled with and she’s hurt in the inside – pushed around by the wistful wind…she’s emotionally instable and she’s awfully sensitive!
Eager to getting her back, but this tragedy she faces is heartrending and it leaves her helpless…hopeless once more…rainclouds collapse from bitter clouds…abandoned for life until the future brings some hope in store and in mind for her sake! Restore hope to her grieving heart…

Waves

Enjoy these 9 haikus I have written shortly, yet articulately. II think you might find this one a treasure to cherish! Enjoy~

Your love drifts away
Yes, you move me like brave waves
Your love's here to stay

You sway and crash me
Yes, I would be by your side
Gentle tides guide thee

Tidal sensations...
Your emotions are oceans
Vital vacations...

Wish you were my waves
Pushing and pulling at play...
Like cute cubs in caves

You abide in joy
You subside in sudden jolts
Yet, you act so coy

Playful laughter mastered
You are happy-go-lucky!
All negatives blurred...

Your waves of might churn
It's your turn to have courage
Let go and let burn...

Someday, you will learn
To forgive and forget...move on!
Happiness, you'll earn

Your love flows in me
Yes, you have a way with words
Be free, sparkling sea!

Another lifetime

Every moment gave me butterflies yes it did,
And I hope from the gaze of jealous gods our love we had hid.
There was light cuz you were there,
Now i wander like an ascetic unbeknownst to end up where.
Now grief clings to me like rife,
Maybe we will meet again my love in another life, Maybe in another life.

Even silence has a voice now that you are gone,
I still sit there from where we gazed at new dawns.
My darling you promised you'd stay,
Then please stop this bruising play.

I slept with your name tucked under my tongue,
As i was tearfully lulled by the melodies you had sung.
How can I ever move on,
Cuz You left with my soul and heart that you won.

You touched me like a prayer, unsure if i'd break,
But how can i explain that i only lived for your sake.
I hate you cuz you left with your memories deeply engraved,
But I remember that smile of yours and I forget i was ever enraged.

Maybe we’ll meet again in another life,
Where my memories weren’t the only ones
Drenched in your strife.
Maybe in another life, my darling —
Yes… maybe in another life.

Give Life a Chance

Gave life a chance
Is alright to fail
Is okay to lose
There is no harm
To try again
You can always
Get better just
Gave life a chance

Gave life a chance
Don't press yourself
Hard
When it is not necessary
Just always do your best
In life
And leave the rest
Of life to speak your value
If you are on a positive
Vibe of life
Then life becomes possible
To your dreams
So be strong move on and
Gave life a chance

Gave life a chance
Hard work don't pay
All the time
So you need not be hard
On yourself
Soon you will be a victim
Of depression
And that is away from
The positive vibe of change
So when you fail
Is okay
When you lose is fine
When are disappointed
Life still goes on
Cos with out pain
You can't value your gain so
Gave life a chance

Premium Member Softening Hard Roads

Hard roads and moments are coming. It's inevitable.
Brace for the night callers and crawlers.
Don't wait for turmoil to abate.
Before constructing your own peace.
At your own pace.
The construction materials for this place of peace:
Are within what makes you joyful,
what makes you mentally and physically healthy.
Don't wait for others to participate.
They may be busy building their own place of peace.
Or they may not be interested at all.

We are built to create great things.
That includes our own peace.
We are built to love.
To smooth the hard moments of another.
Fill potholes and move on to the next road.

Snap

Facing things in life today
erroneously defeating
calculated mistreating
to those who bring me down
and tear my love away
Family stress
to much to say
Can’t understand why
I live this way
Over and over
I break and fall
Leaving innocent ones
my sadness and sorrow
No one understands why
life’s this way
Live like you should
is what they all say
How to move on
I was raised this way
It’s all I know
will there be brighter days ?
Do it alone all by yourself
Remembering inside
inner strength outweighs
common wealth
Finding your souls depart
windless pretend
leaving you out
of all this intent
