Knowing What I Want
I fell faster than the seasons could change. With every bone I tried to abandon The feelings I had for someone that I cannot have Wanting not to settle but feeling as if the choice is not mine to make He is better than anyone else I feel safe, happy, and warm in his embrace I know who I want but it's the one I cannot have All I want is to be happy except all I can do is put others first Not knowing if he feels the same Comes with the shame of the feelings I keep tucked inside. We are meant for eachother but we put everyone first Wrong place, wrong time? No, I see it as wanting someone to be yours even if it hurts you in the end Wanting? No, needing to be with him and only him is the hurt I bear alone. Will he ever feel the same? Or will he leave like the rest? I don't want to find out, but I must in order to move on and settle into being happy.
