He wrapped his remains into his souls’ coffin at the cemetery
An oracle told him to be aware of gravediggers at the boneyard
Under cover of a midnight moon he sought solace and closure
Removed the wooden cross of too many forks from his greatcoat
Stared half naked and shivered into shadows of marble shrines
Recalled the good omen bestowed by the witch dressed in praise
Turned out to be a good day after all
He reminisced at promises of fortune and privileged birth sign
Money power and acclaim had never been far from his cradle
As one of society’s beacons he had feathered fortuitous gifts
Enhanced his standing in false virtue and belligerent strides
Never shied away from proffering prosperity in greedy pursuit
And yet approached necropolis and the grim reaper’s calling
Bad premises and yet change for conclusion
As he slowly pondered on benevolence and benediction he tripped
Near a wide open vault and tumbled into the tomb of reckoning
Ripped a scrumptious veil of superior misconceptions into tatters
Bled repentance and remorse onto the bottomless pit of lost hope
He was mortal after all and not oblivious to what riddled his mind
Vowed to be given one ultimate chance before he would demise
A special day just in time for healing

regrets rise and fall
chafing at the frayed nerve endings of a finite life,
unfolding like origami cranes around the neck of kamikaze pilots
chewing at the bones of our discontent,
leaving holes in the fabric being.
regrets, like and of, unborn children
never growing to fruition, never falling
bud to blossom they decay, never reaching the Guf
pointless misconceptions of a wary heart
first born in joy left to rot in sorrow.
regrets rise and fall
yet we chose to retain them in the after-image
of retinal flares, ocular migraines inwardly staring
toward Gabriel’s outstretched palm
embryos unblessed.
never regret
ever regret
never
Slipping away.
Drifting into a state of unconsciousness
Where the id, the ego and the superego merge in their own perverted world:
Free of inhibition;
Free of intentional thought;
Free of other senses interfering with the unfettered mind.
No physical barriers;
No interjections from other’s prejudices –
Just our own pre-conceived biases and misconceptions.
Rapid eye movements indicating an active mind;
While the body rests, the imagination lives on.
Colors? Perhaps.
Based on experiences and reality? Possibly. Probably not.
Free to dream in any form – no rules apply.
Mostly forgotten when consciousness returns;
Much to our dismay.
Should I just relent and do it
Spin my verses on the pages
Like I ultimately know it?
A sage of truth and ages
Will my words align to show it?
Should I muse with introspection
On the mad kaleidoscope
And the altered misconceptions
Of the oft-repeated tropes
Which apply to our condition?
Do I dare to be a mouthpiece?
Make a statement universal?
Plant with care the soldiering seeds
In marching rows and intervals
To range and bloom in open fields,
Or blaze intrepid, fiery thoughts
With fundamental words of proof
That speak of beauty never lost
In elemental shades of truth
Which serve to lift the lonely heart
What will it take to do it
Capture such a mighty thing
Seize the substance of the spirit
Make the bell of it to ring
And align my verses to it?
Should I boldly go and do it
Muster out my inner thoughts?
Is it time for me to show up
Cast my likes in with the lot
And declare myself a poet?

For a time,
I want to shed my earthly existence
Like the sloughed skin of a snake
To rise high and still higher like a bird
To sail beyond sunset, to fly far, far away
To soar into the seamless skies
To levitate in ether, to feel weightless
To float amid twinkling stars
To collide against constellations
To tour round on a magic carpet
And dive into the oceanic depths of space
There I would build a palace
Amid the clouds to dream in peace
With none to trouble or torment
No laws of gravity should pull me down
Let me rest awhile in that magic kingdom
Not for ever, but for a little while
To look down from that cosmic arena
And pity upon the poor earthlings
Who never realize how insignificant they are
Stuck in a blue luminous speck
Amid the vast enveloping cosmic dark
And keep sucking their habitation dry!
With all ignorance and misconceptions shed
With pearls of new knowledge garnered
With petty strife set aside, in greater humility
Finally to descend down as a better being!

REACH OUT TO THEM THE NEW LEADERS OF THE WORLD THOSE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD-
All gathered round my door;
Where did they come from?
Just who are they looking for?
They know, they hold the future;
The future, the key, to a new generation;
Come on, mankind see lings when watered properly
They soon will grow, grow up to touch the sky, some say…
Reach out
Reach out to them;
The new leaders of the world;
Where have they gone?
All are forefathers, (where are they now, they’re gone)
They died with the northeast wind
And they didn’t even see it coming;
They knew the future they were the key;
For the new life we bring on to them a new history;
His, their story of love mankind misconceptions
It’s time to think about God’s children His blessings;
Reach out to them;
The children of the future;
Reach out to them, the new leaders of the world;
Reach out to them the children are our future
In which we should up hold
Reach out to them, heaven help them
Lean them a helping hand
Reach out to them
Spread the word
Reach out to them the new leaders of the world
Who are the little children?
All gathered round my door;
Where did they come from?
Just who are they looking for;
They know, they hold the future;
The future, the key, to a new generation;
Come on, mankind see lings when watered properly
They soon will grow, grow up to touch the sky, some say…
Reach out
Reach out to them;
The new leaders of the world;
Where have they gone?
Reach out to them the new leaders of the world;
Those children of the world ;

Salutations!
Are we all just a footnote in God’s mental thoughts?
He’s gotta BIG BANG Universe to run, does He not?
He’s the most masterful, magical, mystical, mathematical Magician.
He’s the “I” in Inventiveness and the thinking in thoughtfulness.
He can be everywhere, all at once. Anywhere, He wants. Anytime.
He can be anyone, anything, everyone, everything, He wants to be.
PURE THOT POWER!!! Hour after hour ... endlessly ...
For what it’s worth,
There’s no need for discrepancies or any misconceptions.
He doesn’t do fake news or have any precognitive predecessors.
Yet now has come to realize as I’m singing out these words,
How absurd, little bird, He chuckles in surprise
Then bursts out laughing with delight, in delight.
So wise, He sighs. Oh my, time flies ...
The Dreamer never dies.
Are we all just a Word in God’s Big BOOK?
Maybe we’d find out if we gave it a look?
Ingenuity is His middle name, envisioning e v e r y thing
We are all the stuff, He dreams up
There’s no need for questionaries.
We are all the fluff between His guff.
There’s no need for any inquiries.
Soooooo, I’m going to ...
Enjoy the day’s fullest when the Sunshines shining bright
Enjoy it at its highest when I’m down and out
Enjoy my every moment from here on out
Overcome the urge to be absurd and shout
From the top of roofs and mountaintops
And now, and now, I enjoy the NOW
With Full Moonbeams on me right here and how.
Hear me, here on me, adhere on me tonight!
So wise, I sigh. Oh my, time flies ...
The Dreamer never dies.

Let me set something straight -
Right here, right now!
Let me put India in the right perspective,
Let me banish some myths,
Some gross misconceptions,
And take you beyond elephants,
Sacred cows, snake charmers and yoga,
Beyond Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Taj Mahal,
To a civilization rooted for
over 5,000 years in the past
To a land rich - majestically rich -
In many cultures, customs and traditions,
In a bewildering variety of races,
Religions, languages and folk arts,
In a vibrant tradition of dance and music,
In religious festivals and traditional events,
In saints, sadhus, gurus and sages,
In gods, goddesses, munis and mahatmas,
In temples, palaces, shrines and monasteries;
I'll baby-steps you through a land
Of Vedas and Upanishads,
Of epic stories and incredible mythologies,
Of Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhagavad Gita,
Through one of world's great spiritual sanctuaries,
Where religion is a way of life;
An overwhelming, complex land -
Its charm, its vitality and yes, its confusion,
Atonce alarming and enticing.
And that's the way India is:
Elusive, confusing, contradictory,
mysterious and exasperating!
Beyond easy description or analysis,
A phenomenal diversity of dress
and manners making one aware
of a different world -
A veritable fairyland!
No other country offers quite such
A spectacle of teeming masses that
continue to enrich the heritage of mankind,
Nowhere do the past and present
coexist in more colorful promiscuity -
An incomparable country,
Easy to love, hard to forget!
"There's only one India!" raved Mark Twain,
"A wonderland of fabulous wealth
and fabulous poverty, of splendor and rags ..."
"The cradle of the human race,
The birthplace of human speech,
The mother of history,
The grandmother of legend and
The great grandmother of tradition."
This, indeed, is my country
Where I was born -
An Indian at heart,
An American in spirit!
Namaste!

OM Radhe Shyam, Sat Sri Akal,
Jai Hind!!
