Once a milky winged stallion,
I mistook you for an angel.
I believed your majestic prowess.
Like Zeus, I too hitched my chariot.

Once the sparkling points of night,
I mistook you for sky magic.
I believed immortal your cosmos,
your dazzling namesake array.

Then your avatar sold oil.
I watched your B movie at fumy gas pumps.
I witnessed the curse of your hydrocarbons.
I lost faith in your Earth poisoning moniker.

Then your appellation found home in the dirt.
Assigned by mercenaries feeding slithering snakes,
tracking and tracing, extracting all our privacy
for any perversion of power.

I weep now knowing how far you've fallen.
                I should have known.
You were always the prodigious child of Medusa.

Pleasingly Plump Praiseworthy Princesses

(a quid pro quo plug for zaftig women)

women that tip weigh ling needle to spin vicious circle
akin to puppy chasing her/his tail
     or require digital scale,
at the extreme alt right registering heavy
ba Jill 'en Jack knifed pail loads
whether young or old ought to be appreciated

not waifer thin self starved as a rail,
instead they suffer unfair injustice
     like a trapped quivering quail
thus this fatalistic, generic,
     and holistic landlubber
     wanted to point head lee
     hammer home one secure
     heterosexual bondage stronger than

     omnipotent Marcy's Playground
     weather beaten pail
Trent Reznor's sixty 9 inch rust free steel nail
into the coffin of bias
     against bevy of beautiful babes
within the mind of this male,
who inherited genetic predisposition
for being average, hearty and hale

yet feel compassion for those engaged
in an ongoing with battle of the bulge,
     hmm... perhaps hiding ample bosom
akin to milky sopping wet grail
or accepted unequivocally themselves
     without envy of lithesome women,
who seem to possess flair with nary a flail
yet possess much love to avail,

and tis wise to love oneself unconditionally
     despite premium aesthetics considered svelte
which mass media accentuates de facto spelt
definition of femininity aka runway models
     donned in faux animal pelt
whose deliberate self exhibition
     prompts madding crowd of man

to waggle tongue with slack jaws
     as if ready to melt
or at instantaneous signal telepathically felt
drop drawers upon removing blackbelt.

I trace bitter trials of
        another Helios spark~
as a collapsed marionette,
barely seeing colors of clarity,
between onyx-glazed flames,
tangled in the hollow temple
carved in medieval calligraphies,
bleeding seething scars,
incensed with coiled confusion~
reverberating macabre voices
that thrum distant decays,
clouding inner dusk
      with disoriented dandelions.

Yet heaven waits above
the impregnated wilderness,
its unlocked gates eager
to wrap me in cryptic clusters
of withered, cold oleanders,
     poisoning my poetic pulse
with ceaseless critique~
as if
    I am a sacrilegious sin~
          no longer your muse,
but a blistering burden,
          unmoved by the warmth
                    of frozen asteroids,
          a gossamer blasphemy,
suffocating the spectral sighs
singing star-spun psalms
to the swan-soft skin
           of the mythologized moon,
still plagued by malignant memories
of truth I once wore~
a frangipani on the fervent frills
of your milky-quartz dreamscape,
now a festering flicker
of bewitched demons,
      a phantom ember
breathing elegies
       for a dark romance
                             long deceased...

You'll remain my immortal camellia
soaked in the crimson
wet rush of raining silence,
oblivious to the ominous
odes etched to the cosmos,
mirroring chaos in my heart,
as every chamber within
homes glacial grief~
      frost-clawed rivers
                 ferrying forlorn phrases,
stirring the air
             that emanates triggers,
casting tiger-snake spells
     from the slithering angst
            of Medusa’s mourning mane,
turning midnight runes of my soul
      into stone-rinsed sorrow,
cradled in the dust
                        of distress, forevermore…

Alan Shepard, astronaut, took golf balls to the moon
He whacked them only when he knew that he’d be leaving soon
‘One flew two hundred yards,’ he said, ‘and as I recollect
one came down in a crater, although I never checked.’

In seventy-one that bit of fun by NASA was allowed
Such jollity in twenty-one would now be disavowed
Like all the stuff they’ve left behind those golf balls lay there stranded
At least they do if it is true that both those golf balls landed

And then it all got boring with rockets on the wain
Those Saturn V Apollos superseded by a plane
Referred to as the shuttle like a boat, a bus or train
I doubt that space flights ever will excite me once again

Be careful what you wish for: is that not what they say
Something mad is happening, in outer space today
It should be so exciting as beyond the Milky Way
A hurtling flying saucer makes our population pray

It’s passing stars and galaxies at speeds beyond compare
We know it’s heading here because it didn’t stop off there
And now the bloggers tell us what the BBC refutes
It doesn’t come in peace because it’s loaded up with nukes

And finally it slowed down as upon our moon it came
And then it simply hovered there like it was taking aim
Then each TV and radio and stuff with speakers in
Crackled into life with a God almighty din

You humans shall obey these words and leave to us your earth
Or you shall be destroyed because you are of little worth
And then that space-ship blew apart as something smashed its shields
In orbit its astounding how much power a golf ball wields

                    ***

[Postscript: in 1971, Alan Shepard took two golfballs and a modified club to the moon. Apparently, aware that any ‘whoops’ moments might be blamed on ‘larking about’, this was sanctioned on the proviso that all scheduled tasks had already been completed: thus Shepard teed off shortly before leaving the moon. To this day, Shepard retains the record for the longest golf shot on the moon... Duh!]

Cupid's golden bow and arrow in hand

always hits the target to the tightest degree

shedding his green skin like the chameleon he is

the frog began drowning non-stop smiling as

he fell deeper into ocean colors of all shades a pearl

in a deep pool of beauty bathing so bright

he felt an electric bolt filled with deep undercurrents

string sparks fly in the first kiss with all feeling and intention

String sparks sizzilin' fly in the first kiss and bring

dazzling amazing golden warm struck straight

but oh so gallant and oh so wonderful

In the heart on fire within passion hot

underneath the stars sailing of into space

inside floating around thoughts off the first mate

desires your affectionate smiles, laughs, and grins

sings in the mind's eye grace of a thousand swans in flight

into another space over the Milky Way jewels sparkles a star

tender doting to the soul's eyes

floating to you bouncing inside waves

steaming hot seductive lashes

floating through those curtains we join souls

uniting tender wooing and wonderful woven passion

softly we forever kiss my love as desire always lays with you

I need and crave your love to take me to the edge of the night

dancing in my dreams struck deeply while

turning this world upside down

into a golden paradise ball with all bells and whistles

that I've wished in my life

Cupid's golden bow and arrow in hand

always hits the target tight and perfect

Always! Always! Always! Always!

solely solar:
truly toddler sun crawling
 on canvas of cosmos
 five billion years ago
as protostar
formed from stellar plasma
of cosmic charisma.
spinning sun with solar system
revolving around center
of milky way galaxy,
fantastic but not fantasy.

 sun flare in glare,
 sunspots to spot in variance.
 sun corona, outermost arena
 to mesmerize.
 sunrise to sunset
showering spectacular surprise.

 sun scattering rays
 cascading in opulence,
supplying energy, initiating life on earth,
to grow flora and fauna in diversity,
 carrying evolution on earth
  in beast and beauty,
  displaying hues and tunes
   in Nature on smart reality.

   on human conception,
sun, a massive fiery whirling ball
   of burning hydrogen :
   another five billion years left
    to exhaust its fuel
    following the life cycle
    of an ordinary star
tending to be a red giant
   ending in white dwarf
   obeying chandrasekhar limit:
    it’s limited credibility.

     yet !
     startling fact to assimilate:
     sun with its solar system,
      a nano item
holding a trivial position in universe,
comparable to a tiny sand particle in sahara desert..

      then !
      where to find humans
     blessed by energy of sun?
       seems a fun.

Glimpse of tears, dewlike, crystals
Painting moments in gossamer webs,
Defeated dreams and lingering prayers,
In voices of gentlest grace,
Stirring souls with sensitive prose,
Poetry in stolen sighs,
Stories so alive, faithful and bright,
Birthed in halos like milky pearls,
Moonbeams and stars,
Grieved by the hearts who sing,
In soft winds,
Remembering the tones
Breathed beyond the azure sea,
Where yesterday believes
Yes, the heart still sees – He is the light,
Falling easy on the night,
Restoring the spirit who He keeps,
With love that set aside,
Souls saved by grace, through faith,
Yes, He saves… He saves,
Restoring life to those who were lost,
Before they came to the cross,
Repenting of their sin,…
He changes hearts from within,
Where He is the very best friend,
Jesus, the King of Kings,
Savior, Redeemer, Deliverer,
Wonderful, Counselor, Prince of Peace,
Lamb of God,
Bread of Life, Alpha and Omega,
The Beginning and the End,
Immanuel, Man of Sorrows,
Rose of Sharon…
His light is everlasting, forever,
Sitting at the right hand of the Father,
And, inside the heart of those who know Him,
As their forever and always,
Their hope of heaven’s unending joy,
The love that comes to those who show Him…
Love that came to life within,
Because He forgives the very worst sin,
Because He gives them the chance to begin again!

From the Journey's Flight

With clear eyes from up
                                           milky clouds and green nature
                                                 Rivers are thin roads

                                               Buildings are stones like
                                               gathering and scattering
                                                     galaxy at night

                                                 needs no wings to fly
send the sight through the window
                                               from the journey's flight

The Encounter

With a deafening thunder
and blazing lightning,
Amidst a swirling clouds
of dark ominous smoke,
He appeared suddenly
Smack in front of me -
A most hideous being
who appeared neither
human nor a beast.

With a swift sleight of hand,
Before I could even cry out:
"Stop it. Oh God, please stop"
He plucked my heart out
and held it in his hairy filthy hand.

Oh, why he has to take it out?
My only possession, my only wealth,
The only thing that beat against
my frail, long worn-out chest,
Assuring its constant company
in this lonely journey of my life.

But heedless of my pleadings,
He tossed my heart
into the gutter
with a gut-wrenching laugh!

I asked this foul fiend:
Who art thou?
Why did thou taketh my heart away?

With a guttural voice he spoke thus:
I am the devil! Lord of the Hell,
I am the impetus that steers
the course of affairs in this world;
With me on your side,
You'll get the most out of a strife.
With Adam, the first man,
I came hither and residing since.
An ardent companion of those
who coveteth glory in life"

He bent down,
And with his flaming eyes
peered into mine,
Spitting foul breath into my face, he sneered:

But this heart!
This heart is a hindrance,
A barrier, the core of love and humility,
Where you feel the joys and woes of life.
Nah, there's no need for it.
Not in this world,
Where the mind reigns supreme;
Not in this age,
Where vices prevail unrestrained -
The age of decadence, KALIYUGA!*

He half turned to go,
But then he paused,
Turned back and looked at me.

Never have I seen
such a heavenly sight,
Now transformed into an angel,
He extended gracefully
his milky-white delicate hand
And whispered softly
on the breath of the breeze:

Give me thy soul,
And I will give thee the world!

through as part of the cycle of Yugas (ages) described in the Sanskrit Scriptures -
an era of decay in values and the consequent havoc.)

Loved lovers

You have had others nail
their coffin’s closure's stench
into your heart mind and soul

Stitched up and wanting
to find what seemed lost
for eternities you emerged
to find a pink blossom
a scent of a possible future

My walls had been too tall
too barbed far too towering
had ceased to protect the
fragrance in me the fruit
looking for a taste of the
treasure and the rot to depart

My treading lost and exhausted
in imprisoned free fall faint
fainting milky ways waiting for
whirling riptides scrambled
to churn into butter and honey
to drown quietly or to rise

Could walled frog turn to
prince could peaches turn tides
moon flavours be shared
would princess be found
moon spoons rise and forge
gently into pleasure harmony
and delirious passion

I prayed to the Sun God
and followed the stars
arranged moist petals into
the shape of the heart your
love spelt in words in the soil
and beyond orchards of longing

Dreams looking for rescue in
seeds love ovation and truth

Somehow we found our path
together the way found us
pastel pastures no more nails
no more wire only a garden

Presence in gratitude
my gift continues to be
handing the peach of love
to you your ongoing gift
is accepting and sharing
taste smell scent and beauty
the peaches of peaches
