My wings take flight
I wish to take flight, to get away, I stand upon the mountain top, looking over the edge, the sounds of the ocean hitting the rocks, I back up as to ready myself for flight, I run forward with my arms straight out at my side.
I feel free as my feet leave the ground, I’m finally free flying high above the ground, the ocean as my guide. I see the bald eagle flying above my head, no care in the world, no mask on my face, just the wind blowing in my hair, oh how everyone linings to be here, oh how healing and soulful does flying free feel.
I guide above seeing the world below, my soul is free, no fears here, only the birds, butterflies as my guides..
The Sky is my home, I no longer long for the world we live in now, as I glide around free and calm, with the sounds of the ocean as my song..
How does the hymner sing of God's measureless love through quadruplets-
Fine craftsman of fields, flowers, fountains of water, mountains, and sun-
Who practiced self-denial, till blood sweat, for the honor of thieves
apportioning second chances like sweet nectar while He came undone?
Why does the scribe pen his worship to the Universal Maker,
Compiling pages of effusive love notes for an unseen King?
Unobserved by open eyes but recognized by insightful hearts
Heeding courtship calls from Christ, Saviour sweet, at the threshold tapping.
Where does the artist conceive sweet lines, hues that tell wondrous tales-
delicate replicas of the Creator, thoughts color their veins-
as prismatic as rainbows post turbulence and wuthering days,
so silver linings laid on canvas sprinkle joy for hearts to sail?
When do dancers slip from guarded grace to ungirded ecstasy?
In the sweet echoes of a recent heartbeat or laughing babies,
bustling birdy melodies auguring spring's blessed revival?
I shall sharpen my grand jetés for Jesus' triumphant arrival.
I'm placing strings in needles and creating new seams
Pricking fighting fingers for what this brings
Opening the lines of smiles with softer things
but you like to rip
like to tear bandages
with no interest in blood
just the sound of a breaking, the wince
The mystery of what's under the covers
calls you here
but you play hide and no speak with bloodletting
Planning puppet shows in your dwelling
There is no more time to look for needles and strings
Let's lay it here bare
See how the clot of your presence
causes more hemorrhage
Thinking nothing of tachycardic pitter pats
I just figured that
this is how it flows
and maybe the sadist will enjoy newly marred skin
Soft pink hues clashing with new fabric, this is more than a bruise
I dreamt of babies in past times
So maybe you'd bless me
bring new dressing for wounds too old to place but too deep to forget
and you did, long enough for the browning of raised skin
creating camouflage of a better understanding
but what does camouflage do?
Stepping out of coverings revealing the ravaging you
You are sharp edges hitting kneecaps
splinters in my feet
You are strange slithering things beckoning to eat
wrapping choking, heavy body around all things meek
You are the reason for silver linings
You create shadows for the bleak
A Palace of Aloneness.
This palace of aloneness is not my home.
It's bricks know only the time of run-off bygones.
Transition past it's thousand entrances
Impaired with creeping ivy
Into it's stately communion hall
For the dead and the living you'll end up.
Look out it's eyes towards blurred views
Draped in so longs never to be clearly revealed.
Gawk at it's floor to ceiling shelves infinitely crowded
With ô so decidedly swollen hearts
Captive inside tightly sealed jars.
To dust them is not my task.
Here, cabinets are filled with illogical medicines
For conditions without extensional cures.
A repository for good and bad intentions.
You'll know as soon as you feel it
That you are there.
I'll take no residence in this palace
On the dark side of it's interference.
Secure no long or short term stay in it.
This settlement has no neighbors
To cheerily comfort with a smile.
No happiness locker, no blowing kisses.
No escape if you accept lodging here.
Move on, let weighty doors close before you
That have no real escape.
About-face before it's dark shadow becomes you.
Recapture only evidence that matters.
There is no recouping backwards.
Offer up your redress to tomorrow today.
Flee past this palace of forlornness.
Avoid it's thorns upon your ankles.
Clutch your heart from head to toe.
Keep your future safe to ascent again.
Stay out and away look up to heavens above
Even now they are clouded with silver linings.
Some minutes consume me like venom darting up your leg
Straight to the heart
No restraint
Like ice melting on a summer day,
the silence of a forest on a frosty day-
Relentless,
Cold,
bittersweet,
The sun rays provide no warmth
Just hope.
Some seconds I fall into the depths of my own sorrow
Forgetting what was, what is to become
And I retreat-
I fall down the sinkhole,
Trapped deep within the dirt
But I’m alright here.
I have found comfort in the treacherous cold,
The pain I feel in my heart-
Almost empty
A kind of frostbite chilling to your bone
A hollow void you’re stuck in like a continuous loop
And yet we must keep moving-
Can’t get stuck in the past
Even though there’s more comfort there than anywhere-
We must survive.
There’s a constant battle of remembering and living-
Living in the past, present, and future
Neglecting anything that doesn’t serve your life
because we aren’t promised another day
We aren’t even promised a year
Let alone a decade,
And as we swallow the doubt that love will ever consume you again-
A hug you look for in every person-
We must look within for guidance
Look inside to see the light-
There will never be light outside-
In the cold dark unforgiving world,
Now in survival mode, we must have faith-
Believe in the invisible linings
Micro-particular molecular particles whose properties carry less mass at any given time typically are airborne, only to be respired and absorbed through means of respiration.
Exhaled only to be once again; inhaled.
Trapped inside inner linings of esophageal passages.
Buoyantly escaping; light-like-quick.
Tumbling like a cyclonic feather.
Blue rays with ultrasonic transfers of unconditional compromises shine light on this symbiotic shrubbery.
Rif-raf relief is a resulted byproduct or so-called "nuisance dust."
Unequivocal numeric figures comparable to such matter, couldn't positively identify with no such indication.
The previous possession will remain under further investigation.
Breath in.
Breath out.
Tumbling airborne once being transferred or transformed.
De-composition turns flesh into bone, leaving behind symbiotic shrubbery; discarded rif-raf.
Rispired and absorbed through means of respiration.
Exhaled only to be once again;
Inhaled.

She tried hard to dance on silver linings
Though she was not a very graceful girl
Those awkward left feet would always trip her
Into the dark clouds she would always fall
Though she was not a very graceful girl
She had a strange grace in the way she moved
Into the dark clouds she would always fall
Yet I never saw her without a smile
She had a strange grace in the way she moved
Those she thought were her friends would laugh at her
Yet I never saw her without a smile
I wondered what was going on in her mind
Those she thought were her friends would laugh at her
If it hurt her she did not let it show
I wondered what was going on in her mind
Perhaps that's why I came to her rescue
If it hurt her she did not let it show
I knew there must be sad beyond the smile
Perhaps that's why I came to her rescue
In that moment she was able to cry
I knew there must be sad beyond the smile
Those awkward left feet would always trip her
In that moment she was able to cry
She tried hard to dance on silver linings
Now with a true friend, she is able to fly
Check out my mom's latest poem, she totally shocked me
Hilarious stuff. Her Poetry Soup Name is Mama Bear.
He wrote the lyrics to the songs
a thousand singers sing.
He stood alone at life’s crossroads
and felt the church bells ring.
He taught me how the feelings feel
he helped me hear the sound.
Of the bottom of a bottle
from Sunday morning coming down.
With pockets full of empty
not so sure that dreams come true.
Paper folded in his boots
to keep the ground from coming through.
Playing dingy honky Tonks
drawn to the neon light.
The beer that chased the whiskey down,
helped make it through the night.
No longer is he overlooked,
down on music city row.
The devil will never claim his soul
cause music won’t let him go.
A million miles of memories
a legend comes of age.
People come from far and wide
to see him take the stage.
Silver linings in the words he sings
and silver in his hair.
He sings of all the yesterdays.
He knows cause he was there.
An attitude of gratitude he remembers every chord.
Stopping on the way to ask
please tell me Why Me Lord.

Why Me Lord

R-aindrops will pass by
O-n seventh October morning;
S-un will surely shine,
E-ach cloud has a silver lining.
M-ess and test of time
A-re in the world allowed;
R-apture comes after the pain,
I-t's a silver lining in
E-ach cloud.
C-louds have silver linings,
A-s the present has a future;
N-o care that cannot be resolved,
L-ife's ache has a pleasure.
A-nother cloud has a silver lining, letting you know hope is alive;
S-ometimes struggles are hard, but with God you can survive.
R-elieve the hurt in your heart,
E-xpect for the blissful blessing;
Y-our eyes will realize
E-ach cloud has a
S-ilver lining.
TIME
Thought of all the seconds,
That went like a mist at dawn.
Tried to hold all the minutes for lifetime
But it flowed like water with no grapple
Waited for the hours of fortunes that I desiderate
As you are the sun that quenches every soul of an incarnate
But being in you can burn the spirits with fiery fire
Hastened to get rid of the all the days of stormy clouds
Disregarding the silver linings around them that one needs to count on
And learned that you are the equinox of every mortal
Hoped for the years to go right
never disappointed even when the right seems to be left
All the ups and downs you placed
All the love and hatred you showered
All the laughs and cries that I held
Trickled in the brink of the eye
Waiting for you at the edge of the door
where you passed like a breeze that never noticed
Awaiting all the moments to fill again
