I go to sleep and wake up in the same day
But I'm loving my life
I wouldn't change a thing
Chasing a toddler and chasing dreams
College full time
Finding myself in between
Bad days - no sleep
Doesn't define where we want to be
It happens, sometimes life sucks
You have to smile anyways
And buck up, because when
You get lost in the traffic of your mind
It's hard to slow down, all you can do is try
Because if you crash
You can't rewind time and take it all back
So live for right now
Stop
And see
Do what you feel is right
And be free
You'll get judged either way
So go with your heart and
Let it blaze your own path, and ideas
It doesn't have to fit into the way society feels
Dance, and sing
Feel the weight of the world
Melt off your shoulders
And when you can
Give love to one another
Getting caught up in yourself
Closes the door to what life is all about
Seeing others pain and lending a hand
So shake it off
It'll pay off in the end
The love we give heals our own wounds
And the vibes we send could light up a room
When we try to see
The better side
It's not all about me, it's not all about me.
Yeah, you get hurt
You get burned
But becoming bitter
Isn't the way to turn
Keep your eyes open
Your mind free
One step at a time and
We'd all feel complete
It may seem like a simple plan
But some day our sons and daughters will understand
When they grow up and realize
The whole world will pass you by
If you only live for yourself, caught up in your own mind
You have to escape and make time
Not just for yourself
But for the people in your life
Family or strangers
We're one in the same
Treat everyone like they mean everything
It'll all do us good
I know it's hard to balance baby
But you've got to stay strong
It's not all about me, no it's not all about me.
Be positive and
Set yourself free
There's more to life
Than our daily routine
I'm only one woman
With a simple dream
For us all to give love
And feel relieved
It could all come true
Just take the time to try to see through others eyes
You may be the one standing on
The better side
So lend a hand
Take a stand
Turn your back
To the bitterness
Let us all heal ourselves through love.
When you walk outside into the open air
When you look around at all the beauty everywhere
Think of butterflies fluttering all around
Filling the atmosphere from the sky to the ground
When you feel the wind across your face
Remember my love is all over the place
When you see one lone butterfly fluttering by with such beauty and grace
Think of me and the last time you saw a smile on my face
Remember the joy we shared in our lifetime together
The bond we shared was the most precious treasure
You are blessed with memories of our years on earth
Just as God blessed me on the day of your birth
I have moved on to a glorious place
But daily I am still blessed with your loving face
When you see a butterfly, think of me
That is my spirit flying high and free
I watch over you my dear loved ones, each day and night
I am so proud of your choices to live your life right
My love for all of you will continue to flow
I miss throwing my arms around you more than you know
I am flying with Angels in the Heaven’s above
We watch over you always and send down our love
Look for the butterflies with colors so bright
For they host the spirits of loved ones now out of sight
You must keep your chin up and take care of yourself
But remember God sends His Angels to sometimes help
When you least expect it, at a time of great need
That’s when an Angel appears to do a good deed
Keep your eyes open and be prepared
Great blessings will be upon you when you’re least aware
Watch for the butterflies as they flutter around
They will soon appear in your life when they are less likely to be found
My heart is with you as I watch from afar
Angels walk with you wherever you are
Trust in my word and know that many blessings are upon you
For God has sent Angels who will help you through
Hold memories close and cherish those in your life with love
Trust in my word and in the Lord above

Yo, check the wall! New calendar's up!
Crisp corners, dates so clean, what's up?
"New Year, New Beginning!" the cards all scream,
Same old story, same old tired dream.
But out HERE, where the city grinds,
Where the real world leaves the fairy tales behind,
A new beginning? Nah, that's a lie!
The story keeps rolling, till the day we die!
Like the train tracks, the elevated's roar,
The rhythm shifts, but it's the same track, for sure!
Those dreams you chased, that stalled and died?
They aren't GONE, they're just buried inside.
Like Leo, still sketching, year after year,
Building on lines, wiping away a tear.
No magic gift on January one,
Just the story unfolding, 'til the race is done!
And the stumbles? The slams? The words you regret?
Etched in your brain, you aren't forgotten yet!
Missed free throw? Blurted out a lie?
Lessons learned, beneath the city sky!
Aren't no clean slate, no magic erase,
Just a hard knock school, in this relentless place!
But this turning of the page, this isn't all bad,
A breath on the corner, before the road gets mad.
Look back at the traffic, the smooth, the near miss,
The folks who helped you, with a hand or a kiss.
Gratitude, A quiet thank you,
To the forces that shaped, the old and the new!
Then you scope the road ahead, the destination's there,
But you got a better map, you know the potholes to beware!
More muscle in your legs, a fire in your soul,
Picking up the pace, taking back control!
Forget the fairy tales, the pristine start's a joke,
Grab the chalk dust, the smudges, the smoke!
Draw a clearer picture, stronger and BOLD,
The story continues, till we're grey and old!
So keep your eyes open, kid, learn from the fight,
Keep moving forward, with all your damn might!
The world keeps turning, the story's never done,
So yell it out loud: THE STORY ROLLS ON!
Long I have lived in the Bible Belt,
Where every flavor of faith is for sale,
Oh I've dipped my toe to test a few,
And I've found myself in many pews,
So this is how I'll begin this tale.
One Sunday morn so crisp and bright,
I thought I'd finally found the light,
At a new church non-denominational,
Where the word seemed so very pure and whole,
Yet the spirit changed once I stepped inside.
Just listen to what they preach,
This doesn't match what they teach,
I was told this was someplace else,
This isn't what the flyer sells,
So quietly I waited humble and meek.
And as soon as the service was over,
I went looking for the preacher or pastor,
I said "I'm lost and the address must be wrong too,
Cause I looked for a church but instead found a condo."
And I was asked, "What do you mean Brother?"
Outside this sanctuary are the common grounds,
Where love, forgiveness, and acceptance abounds,
But in this great and most hallowed of halls,
Is where these magnanimous ideas fall,
And where the true private owners can be found.
Then I was told that I had it all wrong,
That I came when the message was too strong,
You see they hold three sermons a day,
Therefor they could meet the needs of every sway,
And I agreed I was confused all along,
This isn't a condo its a time-share,
The first sermon has fair weather fare,
The second is your everyday church,
And the third squeezes you until it hurts,
Oh what a come on, what a snare.
Now, I find that most churches are not this bad,
But keep your eyes open for those that have gone mad,
And pray for those who can not find the spirit within,
Who can so easily fall prey to those with like missions,
For time-share and condo churches are truly sad.

From hunting comes
From hunting drums
From hunting hums
All bright stars
Near and far
In New York or Trafalgar
Those stars in skyscrapers
Those dazzling gold vapours
The government shapers
The controller of all papers
All go on hunting
And keep counting
And measuring sometimes too
In the treasury
Keep your eyes open
The lids may shut up
Keep the cup wide
You will see everywhere
Ensnaring unaware
The tiger killing the helpless deer
Deer who love destiny
Who worship deities
Members of the laity
Dependent on goddesses and gods
In their odds
Fall very easy prey
To the hunters obsessional play
Their God has no say
In the decay
By hunters in dust they lay
Shrunk tottering mewing aching
Finally breaking down
Into the absolute immobility
Thanks to the myriad kinds
Of the guns of the hunters behind
I perk up my ear
In the civilized forest
And hear the guns
Nuns and monks are in readiness for nursing
Churches mosques temples towering for services
What a grace
My every molecule encapsulated in attention
Hears the sound of the gun
And feels the consequent death
The blue sky we love so much laughs nonetheless
The ground underneath
Is moistened in crimson red
Black velvet
First hunt the doe, a decoy
Leopards and tigers follow in joy
We are all pretty toy
In the hands of the hunters
We look on in wonder
Of grandeur of the capital
Take or surrender
You may grunt
Fruitlessly

I'll never forget you.
I'm still a boy inside and sometimes I still need to cry.
If this makes me not a man, then I don't mind.
I'm supposed to be strong for you,
For you have no strength left to fight.
But I'm simply too beaten,
To stop the tears pouring from my eyes.
I thought you'd always be there, if ever I got in trouble;
But you’re slowly and painfully bursting that bubble.
My protection is going; I can't do this without you.
Please try to keep your eyes open;
To delay my heart from being broken.
I hope you know I'll always love you
And I hope this finally ends your pain.
For you never did anything to deserve this;
I'll think of you each times it rains.
Because the dark clouds brought us down,
Whilst the sunshine made us happy.
So I'll never forget your last words,
Or the fact you gave me a family.
Or the fact you loved me when no-one else would have;
I'll never forget those times, you and I laughed.
I'll never forget those times, I made you cry.
Please forgive me, I never meant to hurt you;
I was just a silly child.
Who made mistakes, just as adults do;
But I'll always know that you'll love me, whatever I do.
And I'll always love you, for you gave me my life
And you never did, judge my choice of Wife.
You were always there, for us and our child
And you'd always make us happy;
Just being with you made us all smile.
So I thank you Mom, for everything you've done for me
And all those times, you lent me money
And every time, you were there for me.
I'll never forget you Mom
And when you’re gone, I hope you never forget me.

There never seems to a place or time
For us to make amends
To understand each others feelings
Hopefully to end as special friends
The relationship we used to share
Reminds me of a rose
The beauty of watching it bloom
The sadness of the stems being froze
Each flowers has a different meaning
Whether its yellow, red, or white
The same with every romance
Is the rewards really worth the fight
If I was to buy you flowers
I'd choose several of its kind
You would have to know the meaning
To know what's on my mind
I would start with Pansies
Thinking of you, is the meaning they hold
Special thoughts and memories are the best
When in person they can't be told
Next, I would have to pick Tulips
Which power holds new love
For showing me a new side of life
I could never dream of
White carnations will lead a path
Full of friendship that will be sincere
So when you need someone to talk to
Remember I am always near
Somewhere there will be a single love rose
Which color is red and bold
Maybe it will be a sign that once again
Each other we will hold
There's always a time for Hops
The reason for them you have to guess
A perfect flower that says
I love you no less
Now we have the elegant orchid
It's beauty will lead the way To bring you a brighter tomorrow
And spread sunshine on today
There is a difference between the flowers and you
Which is very plain to see
When they are wilted and gone
The memories of you will still be with me
So, keep your eyes open for flowers
That might appear here and there
Maybe in time we will be together
But only God knows when and where

A friend is one of the nicest things you can have,
and one of the best things you can be-
A friend is a living treasure, in which you must save,
if you have one, you have the most valuable gifts,
for anyone to see-
A friend is the one who will always be beside you,
through all the laughter, and each and every tear-
a friend is the one person you can always look up to,
the one person who will take away all of your fear-
A friend is the one person, you can always open up to,
the wonderful person who always believes in you-
one who never passes judgement, when everyone always seem to,
A friend loves you, for just being you-
A friend is a sanctuary, with the friendliest smile,
A friend is a hand, that is always holding yours-
A friend will never tease, or make fun of your style,
a friend will always take care of you, and bandage
up your sores-
A friend is someone who is always there,
no matter how close, or far apart you may be-
A friend is the one who will always, always care,
so being someone's friend, is an honor to you and me-
A friend is the door that is always open,
A friend is the one whom you can give your key-
A friend is there, when you having trouble copen,
A friend will be your eyes, when you can not see-
A friend is one of the nicest things you can have,
and one of the best things that you can be-
but be careful who you trust, it's your heart they'll stave,
always keep your eyes open, and you'll see-
A friend is a feeling that is always in your heart,
and you will know it from the very start-
Fig tree fruit...fig tree fruit...fig tree fruit
Eaten by toddlers...fig tree fruit!
Gave elders stomach ulcers
Be careful for this is a fishing bridge
Elders warned...
Play not here lest you tumble into the river and drawn
Adamant!....the fig tree fruit
Birds do not play on a sticky trap
They emphasized
Rebellion!....the fig tree fruit
That is sweet and also this!
“Made a jumpy greedy cat fall on its back”
Wisdom of ages not heeded....fig tree fruit!
That one is better than this one...
She said...infidelity!
Where is he now....tears!
“Snuffing tobacco is the one already in your nose”
A sound adage...”for the one on your finger belongs to the wind”
Regret!
A husband is worth your respect...treasure him
“Spite not a male grasshopper”...never forget...
Wealth is not love...love it not!...good advice
“A foolish woman tares down her home with her own hands”
Says the WORD!...a fig tree fruit
Guard your ears
For hearsay destroys the home
Watch your words
They are seed...in due time you will reap!
Tears you will shade...to your knees regrets you shall whisper....
No comforter
Naivety is what you are doing...warning!
Halt before you are haunted
Where you are staying keep your eyes open
For trouble is bred by those close to you....
In your sojourn...remember...
Jealousy, envy and malice abounds
Plotters and schemers are always around
To some places...revert not
For foes there your life can snare
The fig tree fruit!
Microsleeps vs Powernaps
The boredom of freeway driving is like a hypnotist's sleep talk
The constant drone of the car's engine
The flash of lane markers to and fro, to and fro
You're bored and tired, you're mind wanders, lusting for a daydream
To escape the monotony of endless driving, with senses anesthetized.
The hypnotist whispers in your ears in muted tones
"Your eyes are getting droopy."
"Your eyelids are getting heavy, very heavy"
"You are getting very sleepy, time to let go"
"You cannot keep your eyes open any longer
"Sleep now"
You nod off, daydreaming
Eyelids droop down, eye blinds drop and shut.
Suddenly a noise,
A new sound, a toot, a truck, a flash of lights
You sense the car is drifting off the road,
Just before the lights fade and the daydream curtains open
Your sense of change saves you - just in the nick of time.
You wake up, startled,
To see your car drifting out of your lane, crash and disaster beckons.
You swerve and get back on the road,
Back in your lane, out of the clutches of daydream's trance.
You notice a road sign flashing by:
"Feeling Tired? Microsleeps and Nodding Off kills!"
"Take a Break"
"Or a 15 minute Powernap in the Rest Area just Ahead"
Microsleep daydreams are terminal,
Nodding off, switches lives off
Powernap daydreams refreshes and saves lives.
Take a break, take your daydream naps off the road.
