He died for freedom and the righteous cause of liberty.
He gave up his own life so others could enjoy liberty.
"OOH What a lucky man he was. OOH What a lucky man
he was.....Nobody could save him so he laid down and he died."***
The Short Story.*** "Oh What a Lucky Man he was."***
He died alone with no freedom fighters at his side. He fought
against slavery and oppression and to help liberate his fellow man.
But he was just another human, and an ordinary man. He was not
a professional solder or a police man. He witnessed danger around
him so he sacrificed his life for his fellow woman.
He died in an dark and dangerous ally way, trying the save
the life and the virtue of a young woman. Vicious hoodlums
instantly attacked and knifed him. The earth cried out in pain,
as it received the life blood of a young and noble man. Their
attackers also murdered the young woman, after robbing her
of her virtue!
A few days later their bodies were discovered by the police women and
the police man. He was given a hero's funeral for the courageous way
he died. He wasn't a pillar of the community, he was not important nor
gainfully employed. If the facts be made known, he was unemployed.
He never held a job in his entire young life. He was a drifter and a loner.
He lived and died a John Doe and she also lived and died as a Jane Doe. They enjoyed their fifteen minutes of fame upon their untimely demise. The law enforcement community and the family of the young woman mourned
their wasted young lives! The hoodlums were apprehended by the law.
But they did not repent of their dastardliness deeds. They held no remorse
at all. How many other victims' did they stab with their knives?

***This is a fictional short story.
Jane, my former fellow-worker friend, who lives in Carmel-By-The-Sea, and had been visited by many of us from work.
Gleaning Clint as a third invitee at His Hog's Breath Cafe/Tavern, thanks to Jane<--impetus of my 114 miles (228 miles in total, down/up) drive from my San Francisco home, with the added feature, aside from Clint, is California's central coastline drive ... ala incredible folks.
It's been some time since the store episode/trapped-i/epic-sword, in-back at home recovering.
My phone rang during days that it did, of horrid prices and matching service, hmm--half a second or half a century.
Anyhow, tis Jane calling for a special invite to The Grand as her creative date/Clint cancelled last minute as he found her to be his perfect catch at 21 ... to a catch 22, so the lamb pulled out of the bag and clawed me.
~Black angel grew up hard and fast in a crumbling city nest.
They lied when they explained why her daddy suddenly left-
Clipping one of her wings and tossed it into the trash.
Her mamma did well to soothe and put honey to bread
but quickly slipped back into yet another burning bed.
Step monster did all of those unspeakable things.
She couldn't fly as he crushed her remaining wing.
She escaped down the cold veins of the river Styx,
swirling in cool blue whorls called sins of the flesh.
Crowned the queen of cocaine and grand dame of meth.
Turning tricks born with dead beats and jesters came next.
Just like daddy she decided to put misery to an end.
At times death is the only way to escape a burning pen.
Nobody noticed when she coaxed death out of life.
Nobody offers sweetened words over a pauper's pyre.
The tiny cross in the shadows was named Jane Doe.
Nobody cried aloud when her curtain came crashing down.
On the last act of a black and blue angel horror show.
"I'll be by my lonesome all night"
"I'll be by my lonesome all night"
I went on a binge and was not okay
All I have tonight,
Money and thoughts of you
"I'll be by my lonesome all night"
The vain glance at the bathroom mirror
A warm quilt in the bedroom
And thoughts of you unbalanced me
"I'll be by my lonesome all night"
Selfish heart
Shivering soul
Knows the path that leads to you
It is amazing
I sense to feel
The thoughts of you keeps whirling
It is amusing
I doubt to feel
The thoughts of you keeps rewinding
O Jane,
You aren't my beloved
But a breathe that I've known when
"I'll be by my lonesome all night"
The Heat
I have a new girlfriend her name is Mary-Jane.
I think she's from the south where the plants grow green and bright.
Mary Jane and I just spent the hot afternoon together ?
Watching the passage of time through a lens that she brought along just for this occasion.
The heat makes the air a sticky, warm bath
Mosquitos suck at the scabs on my legs
My scrotum is constantly itching
And my T-shirt is sucking the last remaining moisture from my pores.
Mary-Jane giggles at me, as if to say:
'Why focus on discomforts when the real heat is behind the scenes?'
My dreams keep interrupting me
So that I can clear my own throat and attempt to speak clearly again..
A thief was released from a jail,
His effort to remain in jail, was a fail.
The night was cold and he had no place to stay,
He wandered here & there to find a way.
He threw stones to break glass pane of a shop,
He hoped shopkeeper would hand him over to a cop.
Shopkeeper considered him crazy , looked the other way,
He became desperate to find an immediate way.
Near Police station , he tried to tease young girl,
He was sure to find his place , behind the jail wall.
Girl neglected him , considering him lunatic,
His all plans failed, didn't meet success automatic.
Near the church sound of bell reminded, his childhood,
He remembered his mother, sister Jane & father Larwood.
He repented for his misdeeds, was ready to join church,
Cop caught him from back , dragged him jail on an hunch.

BRONTE INSPIRATION - COLLABORATION BETWEEN JAN ALLISON AND DARREN WATSON
Our courtship it continues at a gentle pace
Every time I see him my heart begins to race
Long walks in the country, late evenings by the fire
I really have discovered he is my hearts desire
Kisses in the moonlight, holding hands by candlelight
When I go to bed it’s him I dream of every night
But for now we kiss goodnight by the bedroom door
He respects my wishes that I want to remain pure
In the Parsonage Where the Bronte sisters slept
I fall to one knee and my promise is kept
The faded portraits seem to smile
Urging her to keep me waiting for a while
A wink from Emily, A grin from Anne
Charlotte's look tells me this is part of the plan
Waiting for the answer I feel my nerves dance
Adding to the feeling we are part of a Bronte romance.
We arrange a small wedding but there is no great haste
Until we are betrothed I am determined to remain chaste
My dress is made of beautiful silk and is the purest white
My groom he looks so handsome, he is my heart’s delight
At the altar like Jane and Rochester we stand side by side
This time there are no hitches, and soon I am his bride
We hold a small reception back at Wildfell Hall
Tonight for the first time into bed together we will fall
I hear the voice of my beloved
In my ear she seemed to say
Oh be patient if thou lov'st me
The power of love, The Bronte way
My ardour is inflamed by passions longing
But I must earn her virgin sacrifice
Soon she knows the feeling of being loved and belonging
For my bride only romantic perfection will suffice.

1981 was a year I’ll always remember
The movie “On Golden Pond” debuted
I saw it on the big screen
It was nice nothing special
Right up until that horrific scene
The one that changed our lives forever
My jaw suddenly dropped
Instantly realizing its significance
The camera ever so slowly zoomed in
From ever so far and ever so deviously
Inching towards Jane Fonda in her mid-forties
Sporting a skimpy bikini ~
Revolutionizing expectations forever
Life as we knew ended that day ~
Since then women are heard muttering
See what you did, Jane Fonda

Etch a fond say in words that come,
Note how love speaks in poise that heals;
Ask for the way to let faith sum,
Joy in sure peak moves hope that thrills.
Dance in the light where truth is found,
Niche pulse that tells of fest that blooms;
Aim for wise sight as true love grounds.
Glimpse that fond spell where poise fills room,
Nurture thought fond in happy ease;
Ink stains line health with gifts of more,
Kind sparks flood dawn as love funds peace.
Grace is true wealth in heart's sound core,
Now and here know the way of flow,
Apt beauty finds the path of cheer;
Heed voice that shows in poise you grow,
Charm is the sign where voice primes near.

Why do I love Mr Rochester? Why do I think Jane Eyre should have fallen at his feet and worshiped him? Dear reader, it is for these few lines recorded below which he said to her after she found out that he kept his mad wife in a hidden upstairs chamber:
“You know nothing about me, and nothing about the sort of love of which I am capable. Every atom of your flesh is as dear to me as my own: in pain and sickness it would still be dear. Your mind is my treasure, and if it were broken, it would be my treasure still.”
Ah….the sort of love that makes novels what they are! A broken mind….yet there is still so much beauty in a broken mind….
Broken minds bring forth treasures:
in the world of art..Van Gogh…
in the world of literature…Edgar Allen Poe…
in the field of music….Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart...
What is madness? What is a mental illness? Why do we shrink from those who struggle with depression, with suicidal thoughts, with self-loathing, with an inability to receive and give love? Do they love being that way, or do they curse nature for getting their wiring twisted, their emotions warped, and their minds broken? Broken minds still have beauty that is waiting to be discovered…treasures waiting to be uncovered…love waiting to be won. How do I know? I have a broken mind, and yet...there is so much beauty inside me waiting to be released. People may not understand, or accept...they may shun and avoid, but I'm confident in who I am and what I can accomplish. I'm in good company.
