cunning whist’red the wind
through bulwarks of my youth
cloaked in kindness its sly craft
masked in plotting feign’d truth
the scent of damp stone and moss
clung to my marrow
voices in each gust
defiant i stood on the brink
slumber’ring in ire’s enlace
with sly deceit danced outcome
and beguiled dreams took stage apace
the bitter tang of shadowed air
the quell of trembling leaves
twilled with the evil of withheld grace
vain are stars that once foretold
boast not what thou’st dealt
the conqueror an umbral mist walks
in wilderness where none hath knelt
soil crumbles underfoot
cold dew bites the ankles of night
sweet—and awful—sang the muteness
after the third new moon pass’d
grim hunger prevails
hangs where sojourners draw breath
their last
the coppery taste of fear
lingers in the throat
as stillness gnaws the spectral lungs
not for bread i starve
but for meaning
in vale and entombed mountain roam
judgment echoes field and forest
sunward songs mount toward doom
rustle of leaf
bark-scratch under nails
carry the weight of unseen eyes
thorn’d breaths of abyssal wind
my failing prostrate i ascribe
to flagrant flame
incurably untam’d
a whirling squall of dissipation
drunkenness of nameless claim
the acrid smoke of wasted fire
licks the tongue of legacy
shadow’d cinders curl in the mind
indignation binds me captive
a dungeon endless dark and grim
vile guilty stricken wholly
no mortal left to shield or limb
chains clash rattle in marrow’s obscurity
iron scents the air with accusation
yet manifest soulless one
fervent fierce and torn
momentary affliction sways
in transient shape of mourn
cool sweat bitter ashen traces
mingle with tremor of fleeting heart
tired i am
weak i am
worn i am
yet still
i rise
though wretched rent
to meet the sweet and awful dawn
with every scar fetch’d and spent
light trembles on dew-beaten leaves
first air pungent and raw
fills lungs with promise
of endurance
cunning whist’red the wind
Forever In Your Eyes Contest

Fever began the moment you touched my spirit
Our own destiny remains so sacred I can hear it
Rendezvous brought by tender vows so easily spoken
Eternal gratitude is embraced and completely awoken
Vermont we married along the misty sea side shore
Everything romantic; for it’s you, my love, I adore
Reveries speak volumes as we touch with desire
Integrated with compassion, for you light my fire
Nicholas, my beloved, it’s always you I’ve longed for
Your essence fills my adoration so let’s close the door
Oblivious to noisy streets your eyes gape into mine
Understanding our depth as we pour a glass of wine
Relentlessly we thirst for profound words to express
Everything intense in sheer love expecting nothing less
Yearning beyond comprehension our souls unite eternally
Evermore we dance and laugh brought forth internally
Seen only in your eyesight our devotion stricken incurably

"Westward, further out ..."
Dusk washes over you
warm like honey
saltry and sweet
immersed in amber tones of
apricot alerts and rose
swirling unfurling peonies
the blooming silent dancing clouds
rush over white horses
crashing against
bracken green emeralds
the depths open
and unfathomable,
who can read the eyes of
an unexplored ocean,
the shallows
slide under your feet,
you turn your face up to the Sun and smile,
you feel like you’re bathing in Manuka,
it’s moorish and incurably medicinal,
the salt spray chasing northwards
up along bare legs mid thigh
on another shore
the uncertain sure calls,
the stories are a legion
in multitude of treasures
like beached shells whispering
to ears that are not listening;
you think of wading out further
where the turning back is harder,
the song calls you evocatively
further westward like a drug
you’d gladly holster star shot
drinking life in like a last shot
like a burning addiction,
your world is sliding strong
tide-drifted under your feet,
flesh and bone trying to bed
the undertow and its
neverending mystery
dragging you further out
westward

We live melodramas and are mad clownish characters, unaware of who we really are. I was made aware of this by three young boys, who were part of a hillbilly
family living in the forest. When they came and interacted with us it became painfully apparent. They were the elders and we were living in a mad world, seemingly incurably insane, and running wild. I believe they had little or no contact with today's world. I changed that day, and eventually realized that the problem was we never live in the now. We think we do, but it is an illusion, that keeps us enslaved and deeply brainwashed. There is a way to find your true self,
seek... The Power of Now, a book that can help you live the life you want, need, and deserve! The life that you live is in a dark tunnel, The Power of Now is a light at the end of it. There you will find joy and peace...forever!
I like a good conversation ~ about love and life
An objective opinion or a subjective opinion
Belissima ~ Amore
Age does not protect against love
Your sweet smile makes me melt
Yes, I'm incurably romantic
Sweet strawberries with cream vannlije
Belissima ~ Amore
In your eyes rushes my inner thoughts ~ intoxicating
Life is a dream ~ Your smile is like the stars in the sky
It is fate that decides
The important thing is not to find one ~ but finding the right one
Belissima ~ Amore
Your kiss is like drowning in soft chocolate
May I kiss you again

Flirting with disaster
On this fast-moving highway of life;
Speed demons incurably infected
With the disease of impatience.
I tremble with disgust
When shaken by a fierce gust of wind
Engendered by ill-advised velocity.
Acknowledge me, disrespecting demons.
Don't barrel your way through as if I'm not there,
Lest you recklessly careen off
An approaching curve on the road;
A hefty price paid
For sledgehammer stupidity.
The rules of the road couldn't be
More simple; slow down
And stop for me.
Come to a complete stop
Like everyone else; look sideways,
Then proceed with caution.
Oh, what is this thing called love?
It's a concept I don't understand.
Delight that occurs at first sight?
Or can it be carefully planned?
Is it something that lasts for all time,
or will it run into the sand?
Would Priapus profit from praise,
or should he be promptly trepanned?
Is love as elusive as luck,
or can it be had on demand?
A candle that burns all alone,
or a flame to be furiously fanned?
Is love like a light in the soul,
that will last and endure and withstand?
Is it not just a chemical shot,
just a spurt or a squirt from a gland?
Does this love thing ennoble us all,
or should it be totally banned?
A danger to all it ensnares,
or something incurably bland?
A bonus and boon for mankind,
that ought to be loose in the land,
or a danger deserving restraint,
to be chained and detained on remand?
Oh, what's this enigma named love?
Allurement? Procurement? Command?
Will it harm me, or charm me, I ask:
should I fake it, or take it in hand?
