How about when stores jack up their prices
Then reduce them and call it a sale
I've been on to these devious practices for years
Their attempt to bamboozle us has failed
Annoying commercials that treat us like morons
As if we're gonna fall for that stuff
Like if you brush with mint flavoured toothpaste
Your sweetie will greet you in the buff
How about optometrists with really bad breath
As they lean over to adjust that eye thing
More than once I nearly passed out in the chair
Need a sign on the door with a warning
Or when you're at a game with the whole family
And a guy gets drunk and obnoxious
Using every cuss word ever known to mankind
You wish you could muzzle this ignoramus
You pay scads of dough for a vacation down south
And it rains every day of your stay
Your condo smells like the back end of a donkey
A most forgettable vacation I'd say
Well I'm sure most people can relate to these
You probably have a bunch of your own
Should be a service called Pet Peeves Anonymous
Or a help line you could contact by phone
To tell or not to tell
that is the question.
If it is better
to take up arms
against tycoons
siphoning blood
from pension funds
or to endure
the wrath of numbers
set on arguing:
To thyself be true
two and two is four
without added
000,000,000,000
Santa Claus bonuses!
Ignoramus adding fives
subtracting nines
to cover up crimes.
Shredding numbers
into the trash
hiding cash,
Pulling number
out of the hat.
Three and three is nine?
Poor numbers
bare to the bones
as unequivocal in truth
as in lying
unlimited by culture
undiminished by time
universal and immortal
can’t be minced
sweetened or doubled
to camouflage a lie.
Ah, if words were like numbers!
Would I be a writer?

Two roads diverged as they often do
and at the fork a skeleton lay -
a traveller who stood and thought it through;
as around his feet the bindweed grew.
He stayed too long to choose a way
Seeing both paths equal - foul or fair -
I wonder how his thinking went
that had him starved and rooted there;
caught in vacillation’s snare
until his life was vainly spent.
We may say this fool deserved to die;
this ignoramus had no wit,
but for God’s grace stay you or I
who do not lack the Lord’s supply;
for decision has faith at the soul of it.
I shall be singing this by and by
somewhere many ages hence:
two roads diverged and it was not I
who made no choice except to die
and thus show God indifference.
The Masked Ghoul Mr. CinChief
Fear mongering and peddling crude dirt politics
Is his favorite tool of trade at as this moment...
The one they do call time and again Our able leader
One who hides behind vain smiles
And assurances of half ridden truths
With cleverly disguised yesterday’s lies
Carefully disguised as today’s half-truths
Has mesmerized the ignoramus masses
Into believing that he can still can deliver
Smiles and church assured appearances
Pleas are sworn then handsome handouts
With his nice looks can you fault him
Many are embittered thou they bought
Into this ninjas folly and gave him votes
Daily now is their lament and disillusionment
This had the Gen-zees pouring into the streets
To agitate against the Red Black and Green State
A country that has sold the future of its youth
To the demigods of greed and kakistocracy.. thou
The many youths believe a bright dawn beckons
With the coming of the promise of a new dawn
The rising of fresh leadership rooted in pan Africanism
With a fresh dose of non-bowed African renaissance
Revolution anthem the street resounds with the masses
This the price of revolution is in agitation
The awaited new dawn will deliver our people
Against the overwhelming feelings of hopelessness
Against a background of the portrayed greed
Against deep rooted neo colonialism in leadership
Into a pretty beckoning future of economic liberation

Imagine a mermaid,
she throws her buxom body
onto the granite rock.
She is steady, will not slide
unlike the terrified witnesses
that dare not
damp their feet on blackened rock.
The warning clear
but one tongue leers
wanting to touch the magical fish.
Thinking himself Poseidon,
dangerously possessed,
he towers over her,
sliding lower and lower
onto the sea-lapped boulders.
The mermaid with pouty lips
and a bodacious hip ignores him,
as the ignoramus platypuses* himself
toward the sea whip.
The stupefied landlubber
suddenly seized by fear
as mermen with spears, diamond sharp
surround the prize.
his slip seems to linger,
then the ocean lifts him higher and higher —
lets go.
the fool likely to be speared
forgets his lust.
suddenly the spears disappear
and a tail as furious as a sharks
bats him out of the park.
it takes some time
to get the tourist down from the lighthouse spire.
no one will believe what wonders
cannot be erased from the eyes.

Continually facing struggles
Remaining puzzled
Going too hard straining muscles
Punks always out making trouble
Many in labs out to clone, attempts at creating doubles
So many shell-shocked
Others being fools while well off
Too many people quick to tell lots
They either say truth or sell crock
Had to change this
Less of the same
It took an occasional lane switch
Problems incoming, I took on and faced quick
Regardless if you understand the main gist
A lot of phenomenon and this world can't explain it
Don't be an ignoramus
It's not conspiracy or about getting famous
Why do continual acts occur that are heinous
Times were very far from the greatest
I was headed towards the grave if
I didn't get wiser and become one of the bravest
It's been difficult on a daily basis
I need to jump into a lake
Take a break
Gosh dangit
A heart of gold or soul cold like polar ice
To this day, so much is overhyped
And overpriced
Just not the same as prototypes
On top of that we got all these socialites
It never has been so polite
When it came to voting rights
The canny hitman wears many faces
His smiling face he calls democracy
Were you to hear him chanting..
You would be forgiven to believe
Freedoms.. rights, democracy..
He utters and funds yet.. SEE
Do you SEE your fallen statesman
Your struggling economy..
Your puppet H.E The president
The Hitman leeching the economy dry
Where will we sell our wares is SHE falls
SHE buys gold, silver linen, and all niceties
Where will we sell our wares ooh hunter
If the hitman becomes the hunted..
If shes smoldering in ashes will they
All weep.. you clothed yourself in finery
Said I am a QUEEN I will weep not...
You held sway ruled with an iron grip
Those stars I see on your turban...
It's rumored you plucked from the skies
Trampled like a rag.. and on your back..
How you love to SOAR.. what kind of being
What kind of BEAST of prey are you.. but
Will we weep when your judgment knocks
With your sin-cup full should we then proclaim
Come out of her my people lest you share..
In her FIERY torment when HER Judgement is read
Did someone say you now lookS like a SHARK...
Did you rise from the waters or do you sit on...
The prophesied, Waters, peoples races nations
The economic hitman offers a friendly handshake
In her labs, she is breeding virulent virus..
Extermination of others is her business parcel
Yet the ignorant mesmerized ignoramus
Claim they rule.. they are all bound in chains
The system, the system, chants the Rasta...
Babylonian systems chant down.. Rasta chants
Mary Jane Joint now lights
Where did we go so wrong
Passing Janja weed Ronny..
I will call you my servant SILA see..
Calling a bird of prey from the east
Zerubbabel YOU will rebuild my temple
Zerubbabel YOU will accomplish..
The divine purpose bestowed in YOU

Those who are ignoramus,
nothing teach ...:
The world is
getting crooked with
with the misconceptions ...
Those who do not have
tenderness and just suppose
all is conflict .... stop i
your warlike souls and
reflect a little ...
The world is violent
because of this belligerence ...
Those who are on the outside,
seek to enter to live ...
those inside may
leave once in a while
to know the sun ... kiss
the moon...!
Those who do not love ... allow themselves to be
touched for love ...!
do not be afraid
there is love for all ...!
Those who do not sing ...
for lack of tuneful voice ...:
know that all sounds are
impressive and melodious .. be hoarse
or bel canto ...!
All who do not know,
be ready ... all
deserve the glories,
because everyone is the same
before the creator of the universe ...!
So learn
to live
"If I read a book and it makes my whole body so cold
no fire can never warn me, I know that is poetry."
— Emily Dickinson
When I begin a book that leaves me cold,
with Emily, I soundly disagree.
I put it down to read something more bold
great poetry must spark passion in me.
Unlike Ms. Dickinson who is famous
I 'm not listed with poets well-known.
Not that I am some dumb ignoramus
but her poetry - absolute lodestone.
My poetry, somewhat common, lighter.
I am plain, short of three-dimensional.
Unlike Ms. Dickinson, a skilled writer,
Her acclaim, very unconventional.
Her century, frozen by handicap,
she missed out on the technology loop.
Between Emily and me - a big gap -

A monk ascends
Then shares wisdom
The ignoramus interpret
Thus a new religion is born
Unless our hearts become porous
We are trapped in lower mind
That is controlled by ego
Senses externalised
Notice that no sage
Followed religious scripture
All they did was to enter silence
Allowing God’s light to permeate form
If we truly wish to recognise the truth
We must meld head with heart
Relinquishing every belief
Becoming the flame
When ego disappears
Only then does God appear
Thus not by doing but in undoing
Do we reclaim what our true essence is
Peace
