Love Me Not

This poem is about loving someone.. so fiercely, and severely. Loving them so much, that even though/or if they don’t love you back—you still love them with every piece of you. ///

The stars aligned, together we fell from one
Holding my eyes as I descend into darkness, fate led me to you.
Now, you hold my heart, my eyes, my future. I am left vulnerable and bare.
But, thats okay.
Although you cannot, will not, or do not love me back— this hollow in my chest, occupied by your specter, holds proof.
Proof that I can do hard things
I have done them before
And I will wait till you whisper,
That you love me once more
