NOTE:THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE using spaces&breaks without grammatical symbols ,the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' & so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and responds thus making this enigmatic form a two way interplay & interpretatIon unique to the moment& changing according to mood is inherently variable.

Premium Member The Armored Hearse

Prayers descend like acid rain from
oligarch-soaked manchurians, stumping
for elected office, praising hybrid
demigods, passing out vouchers to the
peasants.

A slow rumbling-
 part of the night-sounds-of-curfew;
descends like fire ants.

Cleaners of the guilt, hidden in plain faith,
unable or unwilling to walk, feign
blindness, darkness helps.

Cellphone towers only reflect scripted
light, as memories of real sunshine, fade
to black. A good cup of coffee is hard to
find, all the fine beans were swept away
early on, replaced by dancing bears,
politely ignored. Thunderclouds, imagined
in shapes of our founding fathers,
encourage the deluge, slowly ascending.

Underground-
   a grim band-of-believers watch (again)
a pirated tape of their favorite '80's movie,
'They Live' from the fabled city called the
new capital in 'The Postman' Minneapolis..
while the tormented sounds of-

     plows
scraping overhead, and
 hydrants,
bellys full, feeding power washers,
cascade
over hardened
faces.

Ghost Elemental

GHOST ELEMENTAL

Lightning, currently water- currently fire, solid in spirit, ethereal flyer.
Vanishes upon completing its journey, by energys desire.
As a shapeshifter in exhale, flashing bare.
A streaker streaming in the light.
Fueled by its spirit airing its incorporeal lungs. God's trumpet
that turns on the night as you hear it, tingle your schlungs.
Fear it's song of judgment.
Kingdom come.
Plays on like a bassoon that meets a lyre, beats like a crash cymbal, pulses like creamy laser awakening Phoenix pyre.
Ghostly taser
with a breath of flare, saviour fare, it inhales, grinning bare.
Opening the seals. Waxing. Clean. Here to there, far to near.
Gods telegram on the wire. Natures tear.
It executes, judgment of the firmament, while darting out of site,
it warns, further encroachment,
like a woman allright.
One that just popped into the room with scorn, ready to fight.
Break out the holy water, no worries,
hell hath no fire. Valhalla no furies.
But now we have imagination to burn,
a reminder lesson we've urn ed.
As we scatter-worry. Repent in hybrid theory.
Of human elements ashes and dust,
purge a little purgatory, to learn or combust.

Premium Member In the orchestrated heart of the American nation

In the orchestrated heart of the American nation,
Underground rivers of dysfunction flow,
Tired forests and the cement sky of silence,
Where dancing illusions transform into infinite spirals,
And beings kneel under the weight of the world's expectations.
Time races through the unseen bell towers, under the shadows of official lies,
Like ghosts of forgotten truth, knocking at the gates of lost dignity,
In a quiet square where the Faustian bargain is written in falling stars,
Under the sign of a wandering destiny, navigating through the seas of toxic inequalities.
There, in the depths of the polished machinery, a dysfunction smolders,
Like a dormant beast in the eternal noise of unawareness,
And in the marrow of each power-serving edifice, echoes of a broken system
Resonate through corridors emptied of dreams and hopes.
The mask of liberal democracy, splendid and shining on the outside,
Melts under the sharp gaze of relentless truth,
A cunning game of deceptive mirrors, projecting ordinary illusions,
In a world dominated by illiberal oligarchic constraints.
The classical economy, once alive and organic, now falls prey to demise,
Crushed under the claws of a hyper-financed corporate hybrid,
Sapping the lifeblood from economic vines to dryness,
Like shadows in a graveyard filled with dying businesses, devoid of brilliance.
In the snares of this inverted world, where truth is covered like a lost treasure,
Seekers of light float in an ocean of mundane blindness,
And the voices of the downtrodden dissolve into the wind, lost in boundless silence,
As the entire land trembles under the weight of inequalities.
And amidst all this, a solitary dreamer rises on the peaks of his soul,
Gathering the remnants of a fallen paradise, searching for a hidden golden sky,
Writing in the infinite silence, words to break the shackles of perpetuity,
Like a burning banner in the wind, in the great twilight of the world.
There, in those moments of the stream of consciousness, truth reveals itself as a sacred symbol,
Wearing the mantle of liberty among the edges of a collapsing civilization,
And disappears into the light of a new dawn, a shiver of hope in the eternal night,
For those who will find the way, towards a renewed and just world.

Premium Member Bed In a Box

A new hybrid mattress bed in a box,
reputed for great comfort that rocks.
Just simply order one online today,
and in no time, you’ll be dreaming away.

I decided to order the new boxed bed,
delivery is quick with no hassles ahead.
My new bed was delivered the next night,
the box was heavy and did not seem right.

We dragged the new mattress up to our room,
unwrapped the plastic and watched it bloom.
It started to inflate before we cut it all free,
and quickly placed it where it needed to be.

I gasped as I saw a dead beetle on the bed,
I started to feel scared and full of dread.
I used a flashlight to closely check it all over,
and found a tiny dead bug stuck to the cover.

My hubby came running as I crazily shout,
and said, “get that infested thing out”!
We then threw our new mattress out the front door,
and spent hours cleaning the box spring and floor.

I now can’t sleep well, worried of biting pests,
every night I complete the flashlight tests.
I check my old mattress, box spring and rug,
and hope and pray not to spot a bed bug.

Frank Lane

1877-1913

RS was my best friend,

A friend ever to the end.

Together we footed and mounted

The pliant limbs of the Hybrid Tree

On County Road,

And wetfully whistled,

As with birds in the warm zephyrs

Of summer solstice,

At the lassies down below,

With young and perfumed necks naked,

Ready and shivering,

For the ghost dance.

Together we skipped smooth stones,

Upon the staid surfaces

Of the state school pond,

Out back among the chicken coops

And the pig pens;

We howled and hollered,

As with hysterical night beasts,

Wild under the stars!

Together we passed scented posies to Lottie Gordon,

Our intended island of private discovery,

Our intended treasure,

Our intended Holy Grail!

And with silent tandem ascensions,

There in the enticing moon shadows,

RS and I found a home in the Gordon heights,

Inside the inviting spread-out mansion,

Of a hundred breathless whispers.

Premium Member Regenerating Abundance

"Gratitude plants the seed
for abundance."
     Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass, p. 376

Attitude plants the seed
for growing love,
positive relationships.

Objectives plant the seed
for developing subjects,
stories of not only where we have been,
but where this indicates we are heading.

Love plants the seed
for growing integrity
with faithfulness to stories
already complete
and yet to arrive.

Hope plants the seed
for evolving faith.

Despair decomposes the seed
for dissonance,
absence of integrity.

Decomposition degenerates the seed
for regenerative development.

Competing alternatives plant the seed
for hybrid creolizing cooperatives.

Totalitarian WinLose intent
decomposes the seed
for healthier multiculturing WinWin democracy.

Darkness bilateral,
within and without,
decomposes the seed
for bicameral light.

Light plants the seed
for gratitude.

Gratitude plants the seed
for polyphonic plenty.

Premium Member Polar Grizzly

Polar bears and grizzly bears cross over into each others territory,
and so occasionally polar and grizzly bears will mate and conceive.
The hybrid, let's call it a Polar/Grizzly
will be raised by its mother, whichever bear breed that might be.
If the Polar/Grizzly hybrid's mother is the grizzly,
the cub will be raised to scavenge carrion, graze on grass and forage for berries.
If the Polar/Grizzly hybrid's mother is the polar bear
the cub will be raised to stalk sleeping seals on the ocean's frozen water.
If a full grown Polar/Grizzly raised by a grizzly
were to find itself smack in the middle of strict polar bear territory,
it most likely wouldn't survive the night unfortunately,
because it wasn't raised to survive that way, despite it being a Polar/Grizzly.

Premium Member Better Than Coffee

Microwave a mug of water with
A bag of Orange Spice herb tea ...
Long enough to make it hot,

But not burn your tongue – about 85 seconds.

Toss the tea bag and stir in two packets of Stevia, then
Choose today’s cocoa and measure out two rounded teaspoons.

Will it be Hershey’s,
Hershey’s Special Dark,
Trader Joe’s,
	Or something more exotic?
                   Live a little – make a hybrid.

Stir and sip.
Don’t forget to wipe off the mustache.
