Dear poets of the soup, how are you this beautiful day
I hope you all are well and continue to stay that way

Believers of science, some of you are not
I’m sorry if you live in fear, of a vaccination shot

I’ve lost friends and family, I’m sure that you have as well
I hope you believe the facts, not social media’s show and tell

We are not a communist nation, nor will we ever be
Our government can’t force a needle, in the arm of you or me

We need to all move forward, don’t shed another tear
Life is very short, don’t waste it living in fear

As far back as I can remember, folks have feared the end of days
If the end truly causes you fear, then maybe you need to change your ways

I respect everyone’s opinion, I’m glad that you’ve found your voice
But my opinion also matters, so please respect my choice

Premium Member Letter To Self In the Future Self

Dear Self,

I have taken a moment to write,
Since time is walking briskly.
How are you faring?
Do you still get excited with the changing season and smell of rain?
Do you still sit out in the cool of the evening
having a picnic in candlelight with a glass of wine in hand?
Watch the day fade away, welcome the graying of the night?
Count the luminous stars looking for all the constellations,
And the changes of the moon from night to night
While the stars gaze back;
Make a wish upon a shooting star?
Do you walk through and adore the open fields to another city?
Do you still listen to Celtic music, country music,
Or watching cartoons with your great-grandchildren?
Have you hiked those overgrown mountain trails
Where the feather reed grass is up to your waist
And the seedling trees trying to reach for the sky?
Are you facing the fact that you have gotten older
Or are your fears struggling with life?
Are you thinking positive to each step you take forward
Or are you taking steps backwards and not forget the past?
Are you still exercising or have you gotten lazy?
Are you still holding up to the change of weather?
Are your children still rejoicing in their lives?
Are the grandchildren growing like weeds
And being blessed with being successful?
Have you made peace with whom you love
And achieved your destiny?
Have you found prosperity and success?
Are you enjoying retirement in a far-of-land or island;
Found a soul mate to keep you happy and safe?
Tell me, have you succeeded in completing everything on your bucket list?
I hope your life is going on better than it was?
Whatever you have done, I hope you found good in it.

Golden Grain In Goa

While the waves lash the shores and splash in soft music

The dishes we serve here in this Golden Grain restaurant

Emanate aroma into the nostrils a pungent sweet exclusive

Have you visited this earlier too or how are you insouciant

A sip of sweetly sour sea food clear soup with tofu in your mouth

While on your hair the wind from the Arabian Sea plays its tickles

As you change your seat for the cool wind coming from the south

Our gracious waiters serve you mouth watering sea food pickles

Tasting the cheesy tuna salad as you share your moments with sea

The boundless sky above invites you to look at its cracked blue art

We are mystified if we will have the listen and sight or have the glee

In Sorpotel with rice, the Goan cuisine we must take to fill our heart

Made of pork in spices coconut vinegar and green chillies

Sorpotel is the essence of Christian gastronomy of Goa

The pungent and little salty flavor will without doubt ease

Your fatigue and more so if you take chunks of chilly soya

To which delight you will employ your perception is

A challenge as your eyes are amazed at the sight of

Seagulls in front of the restaurant leaving the breeze

Have become scavengers in their wing-spread hops

There is the all time favourite basil leaf spread lovely

Pizza dough of Phoenix with a crisp but chewy crust

Made by our chef himself who learned his art at Italy

Sweet salty pizza margheritta of ours take you must

Bebinca you all have to take in its full seven saffron layers

Get the personification of Goan spirit in this unique dessert

While listening to and looking at the splashy music players

Nonetheless your taste buds seek the sweet food for a flirt

Golden Grain is a golden moment in the golden sea beach

Do step in and taste the food with waves within your reach

We Are Turned Off Please Turn Us On Again

The faceless book of lies and deceit
Look at my burger, looking so tasty
Inside the actor looking for adournment
How are you doing, look at this video of a dog falling over
Please see me, understand my pain, share my fears
Binary feelings sent through the ether
Truth reviled and trolled
A million meanless conversations
that could never emote to anothers touch
The soul sucking software that causes humanity to stall in its growth
Computers dont hug back
Download a film.replay a track
We all are infected.without a cure
The real computer virus that we pass with no remorse
We are humanity.
We are turned off
Please turn us back on.
Look at my life isnt it so good
then why do i upload plastic memory falsehoods
Commiting suicide by deleting my profile
And begining life by turning from the ambient light
No longer the lone fly caught in the electric web
Tell me internet where is your soul
and what will i be

Like pegs in a light bright
Stars dot the sky of night
With every twinkling wink
I am going to stop to think
Pondering inside their thrill
Wondering likely, if you will
See their wondrous beauty
That unfolds from you to me
For I see you in the here now
Incredibly, I can not disavow
How are you so enchanting
Every thought is recanting
Of you and I all tangled up
It's so perfect yet so abrupt
I will wake up to you at sunrise
Love never a meaningless prize
You're an incredible vision to me
Of what that bright light ought to be
I see it in your most restful slumber
Within our waking memories number
We have moments of such incredible care
A connection we both work to build and share

Premium Member Good Friends

There is an old adage: Good friends are hard to find…
I think that’s a somewhat pessimistic point of view
one I have found, over the years, to be anything but true.

Since retiring…on our morning walks
we’ve been amazed how frequently we meet
the same people who walk the same time…
usually along the same streets.

Friendships that started with a smile and a wave
as we passed each other walking…
which led to ‘Hi’, 'How are you?’ ‘Have a great day!’
you know…superficial talking.

But from ‘Nice to see you’, ‘Can you believe this weather?’
‘Hey, how have you been?’
There comes a point in a friendship when you let each other in.

A point when you see them walking toward you
and you immediately wave…then smile…
knowing you’ll be stopping…just to visit for a while.

As you talk about your families…your ups and downs in life
your children, your vacations, your histories, your partner or your wife

It is at this point…this juncture as your lives begin to blend…
you realize somewhere along the way…you have become good friends.

Which is why ‘good friends are hard to find’
is an adage you’ll never hear me repeat….
because a good friend could be someone…
whom you meet along the street….

Thinking good friends are hard to find…
is truly a mistake…
because good friends aren’t something you find…
good friends are something you make.

Mighty yes, those horrible, awful statements and words said in a moment of anger hurt members of society.
And phrases written down during a selfish frenzy stops the parent-teacher communication flow entirely.
Our exceptionally bright teachers might already suspect that writing out powerfully spoken missives can make things a whole lot worse.
If you’re an elementary teacher, you might as well take home your wonderfully-crafted by a 3rd-grader’s polka-dotted sow ear’s purse.
If you write as much angry nastiness as you want on those little one’s report cards, you won’t have anything to put in that purse next month or the months after that month any way.
Ms. Principal uses her sweetest voice here, while doing this part with a please. Why, Hello, Miss WriteALot! How are you today? No, you don’t have to finish math class, but you really can’t stay.
We have brought temporary wretch who has never been in a classroom before, scared to death right here to your door. We call him Mr. Closed Mouth. He’s the best who interviewed by far.
Informing our observant, vocally-ept, ready-to-sue-at-a-moment’s-notice parents, you’ll do no more. The school board is here, waiting for me to walk you to your car.

Premium Member Hi ! Goldfish

‘ How are you going on ? Hi, Goldfish !
You are so shiny fins seem polished:
      Sparkling , glistening !
       Are you listening ?’

‘Yes ! I am hearing, but no energy to reply .
You are providing ample food on supply.
              But I’m confined in aquarium
               Limited space no freedom !
Now I can’t swim free at random.
                Feeling frolic seldom !
                  Sensing continuous boredom.

                  You are cruel, heartless,
                  enjoying my beauty, peerless.
                    I am imprisoned by you,
                      spending days in rue.
, A cheerful goldfish you have captured,
                      destroying my joy and rapture.

My sorrowful swimming you relish !
                   Always grief I’m to cherish,
                    Me the poor Goldfish.
                     I can’t sue,
                      but hate you.’

Of Mice and Men

You made me feel safe for only a short time.
The rest of the memories are burned into my head as you danced in your hornets red nest.

Then you abused me and our sons, for vengeance and retaliation of some unknown cause that I will never understand.
How are you considered a man?
When you tell him to read of mice and men; you were the monster along with him, and him.

We are your captives, and it never ends.
Along with your spiteful nature you cost me my limb.
I have been revictimized again and again.
For you took no truth to wedding vows in which you were to love, protect and cherish.

As you only find ways for your selfish greed to flourish.
There is no happy story here, for me it has been prolonged abuse.
You really did it now, when stealing my son and the tumultuous misuse.
The tri fold effect you created when having no heart.

Created doors to open while others also tore me apart.
I am presently broken now, and I have been for awhile.
Beat up on all levels, and horribly defiled.
On trial for your sins, in which you hold no accountability.
There is no tranquility, there is no tranquility, nor indemnity.

A Letter To Time

A LETTER TO TIME

Dear time,
How are you and how are you doing?
I hope everything is alright with you?
If so, thanks be to God.

My aim of writing is simply complex
I don’t know how and where to begin
But still, I have got to tell you my mind
This is a letter of how you have treated me.

You gave me time when I needed none
You refused to give me time when I needed one
You denied me some opportunities that would have helped me
You granted me so opportunities that didn’t help me.

There was a time when I was lonely and you refused to give me company
In thirst and hunger; there was neither water nor food provided to me
Why did you allow me to witness some painful moments?
I wasted my time crying and wailing; Spent most of my time sorrowing.

Thank you, for the opportunities you gave me that I utilized
Thank you, for the time you gave me to correct my mistakes
Thank you, for the sweet moments I witnessed and enjoyed
Thank you, for the time you are giving me to use and live on.

In conclusion, thank God for the time he gave you to give me
Tell him that am grateful for his benevolence, care and protection
I have learnt how to manage the time you give me and those you don’t give
Greet the year, month, week, day, hour, minute and second for me
Take care and remain blessed until we see in time to come.
