Seven Days Before Christmas
It was almost Christmas and Santa was getting Antsy.
That night he left his reindeer at his North Pole Farm.
Then, asked Mrs. Clause to get dressed red and fancy.
He did not want many to see his sleigh ride charm.
The lonely white donkey would certainly do!
So, he hitched up the sleigh to go for a ride.
No one else would go with them, only those two.
Across the worldwide skies, with Mrs. Clause by his side…
The weather was ice, but Santa Clause was warm.
Mrs. Clause's rosy cheek lay on his soft shoulder.
She lovingly clung to his handsome strong arm.
Year after year, he seemed younger, not older.
Many loving memories frolicked in two heads.
She never flew with him on his Christmas night run.
But snuggled and cozy, they had worn out many sleds.
Every seven days before Christmas, those two had great fun!
He stood on the seat and shouted, “Ho! Ho!”
White donkey was flying with those two alone.
“Come dance with me, sweetheart.” His face was aglow!
Gliding through the skies, true love was homegrown.
She reached for his hand; stood there beside him.
And magical music serenaded their night.
Their waltz in the sled was a mid-night whim.
They wriggled and giggled each filled with delight.
“I love Mrs. Clause, dashing with me tonight!”
Distant and tiny, earth resembled planet mars!
Weaving and whirring that romantic starry sight,
They looked down below, amid sparkling stars.
For hours they enjoyed their alone time together.
Laughing and singing, souls full of delight…
Oblivious to snow and stormy weather,
Two dipped and sped around the sky on that night.
Seven days before Christmas, high above every town.
If you look, you might see them, oh, wonderful sight,
Santa shouting with glee as they two fly around.
Jolly holiday! “Mrs. Clause is with me tonight!”

All I Want for Christmas is a Miracle
it was late one night
december twenty-third
when a little boys wish
was overheard
she walked by his door
to hear the prayer
as he asked god
why life wasn't fair
she heard him say
Iv'e been so good
and asked if santa
somehow could
make mom healthy
for christmas this year
and those words kept echoing
through her ear
she cried herself
to sleep that night
knowing her cancer
was winning the fight
the doctors had told her
her chances were slim
of finding the marrow
to help her win
but she kept her hopes up
if only to hide
the pain the suffering
and the turmoil inside
if there was a santa
she knew he'd come through
if only a little boys
wish would come true
when christmas arrived
on the eve of the day
he stood by her bed
and asked her to say
i truly believe
in good old saint nick
she whispered the words
then fell asleep sick
that morning he awoke
to a knock at the door
santa was late
but it was him he was sure
he opened the door
and took a quick glance
it wasnt a sleigh
but a shiny red ambulance
it wasn't the fat
jolly man in a sled
but a man dressed in white
with a cross that was red
the doctor had come
with news that was great
they'd found her a match
if it wasn't to late
they loaded her up
with the boy by her side
rushed to the hospital
and took her inside
by the time it was over
christmas had passed
but the miracle stayed
she was getting better at last
she looked from her bed
at his worried young brow
she said that he saved her
but she didn't know how
he looked back up at her
then smiled and said
it wasn't me
it's all in your head
miracles are born
from believing inside
and when you truely believe
with your heart open wide
santa can give you
what you want most of all
for the spirit of christmas
is not found at the mall

Our Tree
Carrying green, luscious needles on gracefully stretching limbs,
Strong, straight trunk holding all that bounty together,
Emitting cool, spicy fragrance that touches our senses with delight,
The Christmas tree is reaching for us.
We see, we smell, we hold this wonder of nature;
We tie it to the top of our car and carry it home
With expectant smiles of happy times to come.
After a short rest in our peaceful back yard,
The day comes when we bring it into the house.
Without any struggle it stands and soon holds strands
of twinkling lights, making it glow and sparkle.
Friends join us in decorating,
We are surrounded by boxes of treasures,
we remember each ornament and relive
the moment it was created, or given to us by a loved one.
“This is the first ornament we bought after we were married,
The girls painted these when they were, oh, maybe 6 and 8 years old,
And these with roses on them are the last gift from Dad, before we lost him.
Our son loved the Lionking, so we got him this ornament.”
“I made these when I was going through my wood working phase,
And this is from a very dear friend.
My sister found this cat ornament, knowing I like cats,
And here is this year’s find I bought at the Christmas place.”
Now it’s time for a break, coffee and cookies.
But soon we look upon the masterpiece
we created with satisfaction.
“Oh, it’ so beautiful!” my heart sings.
This tree would win no price at a contest,
It has no color theme, only love and joy.
It carries the precious memories of times gone by,
Of a loving family and lots of good friends.
I believe the tree likes it .
It stretches with all the glitter and smiles proudly.
I wake up to it’s wonderful pine scent,
Thinking:” It’s Christmas time!
I love it”
Twas’ the night before Christmas and all through the town
All the kids drove from all over, heard Vanilla Ice was around
The DJ was set up by the chimney with care
Yeah the kids were a buzz; they knew soon he’d be there
The parents were all shopping, thought the kids were in bed
If they knew what was about to take place, they would go out of their heads
The moms in their sweaters and the dads in their caps
Stood in line patiently, thought they knew where their kids were at
When out on the lawn there landed a shiny G6
The kids all ran out so they could take some really cool pics
The lights were so bright from all of the flash
As the Ice man stepped out, all ready for the big bash
He waved to the crowd, he smiled ear to ear
The kids all jumped up and down while they clapped and they cheered
Ice Ice Baby is what he started to sing
Smiling and laughing as he flashed all his bling
The kids just partied and had a blast all night
Till their parents came home and saw this crazy sight
The music quickly stopped and everyone looked
But the parents just smiled cause yeah they understood
“Ice, Ice baby! “, said one of the moms
As one of the dads cheered “Vanilla Ice is da bomb!”
The party carried on they didn’t want it to end
The kids all proclaimed “oh yeah, Vanilla Ice is MY friend”
As he gathered his posse and climbed back in the plane
All the people knew Christmas would NEVER be the same
He wished everyone “Merry Christmas” like none other
As he closed the door he yelled,” Goodnight everyone , Word to your mutha!”
It's CHRISTAMAS time again this year, can't believe it's all

behind.I like to get my shopping done, before the lines get
long in all the stores,i'll spend more than we can afford, but
hay it;s Christmas time. It's Christmas time again you see, let's
go pick out the perfect tree,is it leaning left or is it just me,oh
hun it looks just fine. We'll hang the tisles, string the lights, these
ornaments will take all night,it's alot of work but that's alright,
it's Christmas time. We'll eat to much and swear again, that come
new year were gettin in,the best shape that we've ever been, but

mommy look this one's for you,I love it hun I really do,it's Christmas time.
It's Christmas time again you know,it hit me just an hour ago,it ain't
about the mistle toe, let's keep that in mind. It's about the star that led the
way,the baby child born that day.it's cause of him we all say,
IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME!
With Burle Ives singing Frosty the snowman in the background,
and the smell of pies and
cinamon in the open, warm kitchen, thoughts of Christmas'
past come to mind. When
precious God fearing, grand parents were
around to keep my thoughts on the right path and
help to increase my faith in a loving heavenly father.
A father that had the good of the
family in mind; was the protector of the family and leader.
Times were more simple and
precious, hard work was the norm around the small vegetable farm.
Decorations for Christmas
were a must, a tree and lights, with many gifts under the tree.
Kids playing with all the toys
and each other, usually a board game would
take place after the Christmas eve meal with all
the cousins, that we all readily enjoyed.
As the kids got older, and were able to drive, we
would take a ride to Christmas Lane and look
at the decorations and lights. Then go home to
wait fot Santa to leave our presents,
with the fire place's glowing red embers, Santa could
see the perfect place to leave the gifts arranged for
best enjoyment and visual build-up.
Love abounds sitll in our home, with my own son watching for Santa's spies around
Thanksgiving and wishing for every
toy known to mankind. The awe and wonder are still
there, but I miss those gone on before, though I
can imagine the celebration they are having
up in Heaven, praising Jesus, and loving each other.
For my grand parents-Robert and Leola Kendrick and Marion and Marie Morgan
In her dreams she is visited by old Saint Nick
He is here to tell her the miraculous story of Christ
The Star of David was the angel upon the tree of life
Her papa was a little out of sort as he strung the Christmas lights
Her mama was slightly tore up as she hung the cardboard reindeer just right
Grandma was real sick and it was starting to show
Their old "hand-me-down" house was drafty and cold
In her dreams she is visited by old Saint Nick
He is here to tell her the miraculous story of Christ
The Star of David was the angel upon the tree of life
For years they had all avoided this place
Yet a tear stung her eye as forgiving smiles spread across their eager faces
Christ was born upon this day for a reason
Come as you are being the ultimate season
In her dreams she is visited by old Saint Nick
He is here to tell her the miraculous story of Christ
The Star of David was the angel upon the tree of life
She cares not for eggnog and mistle toe
All she asks is that the love may show
For Christ lives on in our open hearts
Let this day mend where we have drifted apart
In her dreams she is visited by old Saint Nick
He is here to tell her the miraculous story of Christ
The Star of David was the angel upon the tree of life
She awakes from her dream and runs to sit beside the tree
Her eyes gleam and this is all she can see
Old Saint Nick has spread the story of Christ
She smiles as as Christmas light shines on the tree of life
About five years ago, I had a surgery and wrote this while in the hospital. I actually
quite enjoyed myself and the surgery was not painful for me at all! Just came across
this in my files and thought I'd throw it on here, for anyone worried about surgery
before Christmas time. It can actually be quite nice!
(Sing to Jingle Bells)
Refrain: Oh, IV drip! I sit and sip a juice or diet Sprite.
With each meal, I’m sure to feel more and more all right.
Oh, Bless my soul, remote control right nearby my head!
I watch TV, though groggily, right here from my bed.
1. A day most winter-y, I came for surgery.
But I felt nice and warm as drugs went in my arm.
It’s been so comforting to not recall a thing.
Of pain I hardly can complain while I’m recovering!
Oh. . . (refrain)
2. I’ve been here just a day and sure enjoy my stay.
I just turn on a light and take some time to write.
I’ve not yet had to pee. It’s being done for me!
Too bad this visit’s not all free, it’s like a luxury. . .
Oh. . . (refrain)
3. If I keep doing well, I’ll have a great Noel.
I’ll leave new and improved, this catheter removed.
My hysterectomy is what’s the best for me.
So minus “womb” I’ll leave this room and Christmas merrily!
Refrain: Oh, IV drip! I sit and sip a juice or diet Sprite.
With each meal I’m sure to feel more and more all right.
Oh, bless my soul. Remote control right nearby my head!
I watch TV, though groggily, right here from my bed.
Roy is such a jolly ole soul
who enjoys riding mule deer,
helping Santa at the North Pole,
most of all, spreading good cheer.
This year was different,
Santa decided to take vacation.
He informed Roy of this event
inquiring of his participation.
Roy shouted out with glee;
he became very ecstatic.
Calmly, he did agree
not to be such a fanatic.
He wondered what he would drive.
His Harley was in the shop.
How would all the gifts arrive?
He didn’t want Christmas to be a flop.
He thought of Ralph his mule deer
but remembered he couldn’t fly.
Would there be Christmas this year?
How would mule deer take to the sky?
Pounding his head, he had to think;
he couldn’t take Rudolph or the sleigh.
Santa would raise such a stink.
“Nitro jets; he shouted, that’s the way”.
He went to the shop; got to work.
Hammered and nailed, sawed and fussed.
When he was done; turned with a jerk
saying; “I hope it doesn’t combust”!
He strapped Ralph to a huge wagon
all jets ready for the ride.
Ralph lit like a fiery dragon.
Roy’s red-nose a beaming guide.
Parachutes galore fell from the night sky,
dropping one by one at house doors.
Roy happily gave a wink of the eye
and quickly got back to his chores.
Giving the last bundle a kiss,
Roy sent it on its way.
Happy that he did not miss
and Christmas was not a delay.
I heard Roy shout as Ralph fired away.
“I delivered them all, who needs a sleigh”.

About thanksgiving a bunch of turkeys get together,
Have a meeting about sales for the holidays.
About fall they send out that letter.
Well those business folks got to cuss and discuss,
And figure how to gear it,
To make us customers
Feel that holiday spirit!
Here’s the minutes of the meeting,
We’ll skip the high fives greeting.
“All through the mall we’ll have ho- ho- ing Santys
From the computer games to the racks of panties.
Adult book stores will send out Yule tide flyers,
To attract all the spirit filled ***** buyers.
Don’t forget to put some plastic wreaths
Round those expensive briefs,
And the music; what about the music?!
Let’s start the secular Christmas songs,
In time for the black Friday throngs.
Make sure the songs don’t mention God or Jesus,
We don’t want to offend and have people leave us,
Remember Christmas is all about the money,
So let’s spread the ads on thick like honey!
Hide all the advertised sales on goods for this time of year..
And put the top dollar toys and items by the cashier..
So if you business people got more ideas, let’s push them through!
What’s that? Oh yeah…ah…merry Christmas to you too.
MEETING ADJOURNED !”
“(hey Bill, ..about that bikini clad Santa dancing on the new hutch,
I think maybe her pine needle bra is a bit much…..?
What you think?….)”
