Sentinel of Good Will

Wreath wrapped around the door of my hearth
Hearth's decor both symbol and integral part
Part of the pageantry and beacon of my hospitality
Material canvas eroding with time; modest beacon bequeathing my liberality
Time capsule which transports festive memories to my merry mind
Festive timber melded and artfully twined
Mirth and praise twined in harmonious refrain
Earthy refrain with delicate stitch and  modest, pulpy strain
Modest harbinger of good will to all who it's crest ascend
Good will garnish that I with tidings of joy append
Garnish gratuitously crafted, residual hope to send
Hope that will past heartaches and trials rescend.
Sign post serenading Christmas past, while celebrating the decorum of Christmas present
Token garland in which future Christmas dreams to consign

Thank you for sharing your heart with us through your poetry here at PoetrySoup Stephen. My time for reading and commenting will be short until after the New Year. So, today I send a wish from my house to yours. Have a Joyous Holiday and a Happy New Year. Please remember the sick and hungry in your prayers daily. Do all you can to help in anyway you can. Love and blessing, Carol and Family (Your smile can warm a heart)
