They don’t give a monkeys
You’ve read what they’ve said
These flunkeys are off their head
Braggadocio pinocchio junkies
Baz cronies nutter baloney utter
Phoney show ponies in the gutter
Stutter one more flutter then splutter
Aussies like a knife through butter
The death of a nation..us all pining for Bazball’s fine dining/opining alright whining degustation;
Amuse bouche (louche with a bag of douche);
Golly gosh Hogwash
Humpty Dumpty Numpty
Total scrotal Tosh
To start (brain fart);
Fish have another swish
Trumpet Bazball strumpet crumpet
Dish of death wish Gibberish
To cleanse the palette (God dammit);
Far too mellow sickly sweet lemoncello
Take a mallet to the Bazball planet (grief aperitif & digestif)
Entree (naysay it's okay.. the way we play come what may every bloody day);
Ruddy veteran fuddy duddy buddies bash
Splash of rash & brash
Off stump chump slump rump
Dash..lash then crash
Flash Balderdash hash
Desert ( just desserts)
Teasing wheezing ego pleasing Trollop
Dollop of Codswallop
With a twist of narcissist mist (you get the gist)
Cheese board (traditions ignored)
Aussie gloat aged goat
Camembert despair
Double header immature cheddar
Out fought and out thought Roquefort
(served with they're crackers and in a bit of a pickle)
Petit Fours (flaws encores & guffaws);
Scoop of NincomPOOP
Tasty bit of hasty bullshi*
Peacocks big bolloc*s
Tripe as ripe as our Gripe
You don’t get a coffee because like Test cricket they can’t do it for toffee
The leather tethers kept loosening.
I had to pull at them until
they dug into your body
binding you to a rocking cross.
It was all for nothing
you died snapping at unseen knives,
arching up, bending time into
frozen waves.
You once said you were Irish/Scots,
Appalachian.
You called yourself: Applachan.
Sinewy girl --- wiry poppy stems
in you, and engine oil
to soften tenacious roots.
The fever racked you up.
It shook your bones loose.
It blossomed,
pouring you out
in thimbles of awareness.
In those intervals,
blue hills filled your eyes
with summer rain.
I would talk to you of Ireland.
We went there on that last night.
We made a hasty camp
in the dream felled woods,
the deep raw stumps
were already greening.
Then I watched,
and kept watching
as feeble death broke its teeth
on your blood.
MOVE ON
Pick at it and open the wound
Poor on the salt with a big spoon
Can’t just let things go and be
Stirring the heart more angrily
The history we had is long since gone
I made mistakes and tried righting the wrongs
But this is the end of the line
Healing will occur over some time
Thankful for the time that we shared
Relationship was good I promise I swear
But I departed and left the fold
Out in the world to journey was bold
Wearing a uniform in line to conform
Growing up fast with others reformed
They yelled at me and gave me guns
When liberty came we shared some fun
Drove big trucks deployed on ships overseas
Round the globe twice in many countries
Very much training and more to train
Grew up quick and maturity was gained
Back to civilian life and started a new
Now what? Where do I go? What to do?
I know lets protect and serve that’s the ticket
Got rejected for colorblindness so I dismissed it
Earning a living at a health food store
Dating a girl, how can I provide for?
She was on track and smart and clever
I would marry her now and forever
She would graduate and become a teacher
But first we would vow in front of the preacher
Working as a manager at $14 per hour
Or a degree in allied health I would not cower
Accepted some help along the way
That which I am grateful for to this day
I’ve had my fair share of miscalculations
Made hasty decisions with no hesitation
Financial errors where to work and live
Undue stress on loved ones please forgive
Life is a teacher and I’ve learned up to now
Like a farmer keep your hand to the plow
Blows and punches will sure come your way
Take the highs with the lows its not all doomsday
I can tell you that family is at the center
Having my wife at my side with kids to mentor
Happiness is an illusion finding meaning is the key
If you have a “Why?”, enduring the “How?” is easy

I'm thankful for my power of vision
to watch surrounding with this sensation.
I traveled and spent enough time to see
many mountains, rivers, fountains and sea.
Charmed to visit violent volcano,
Icebergs, glaciers, hilltop,solid snow,
verdant valley, meadow auburn ,
vast barren desert, caves and caverns !
But once over failed to appreciate
blazing beauty of dew droplets
glistening bright on glass blade in my garden
which I discovered all on a sudden.
Ceaseless runs sounds,
knowing no bounds.
Day dawns, noon deepens.
Afternoon ripens
till comes silence at night
Birds chattering -chirping,
Domestic cries scattering.
Vexing vehicles hasty,
Cracking sounds nasty,
blowing horns, impolite.
Either avoid yells of crowd,
or be a part, being proud.
Loud rude arrogance,
on shouting day of nuisance.
busy noisy upright.
Just be bold and loud.
Shout, as life will sound.
Daily noisy marital clash
may or may not often flash
Observe night without fight.
Rainy season brings sacred aroma of jasmine
soothing my olfactory nerves : superfine !
I reminisce affectionate Grandma thanking sense of smell within.
As best friend I chose her ! She was so close.
From her garden strong scent of blooms rose.
Soaked soil produced feral petrichor mesmerising me.
Both scent are mingled with my Grandma ! She was so cary !
Redolence makes me nostalgic on sweet memory .
As we walk along the beach in Honolulu the sand welcomes are feet
The warm sun and the gentle trade winds are a combo not to be beat
The waves brush up against the shore then offer a hasty retreat
A kite surfer floats across the water looking so very elite
Surfboards with those tanned riders come rushing in
In an effort to impress those bikini-clad ladies they hand their trying to win
Tonight the feast for the ages a luau awaits
A romantic evening under the stars ours to create
Hula dancers swaying to the music under the moonlight
Drinks flowing like the ocean to liven up our night
Our evening of fun has come to an end
We leave in high spirits as tomorrow we will do it all again
NOISY
Sounds of the day ceaseless go,
know no specific bounds,
Cries of domestic chores, squabble of city life to arise
Nasty noises of vexing vehicles running always hasty.
Creaking of wheels, blowing horns turns law-breaking.
Sounds of the day ceaseless go,
know no specific bounds.
‘Crowd yells’: Either avoid or be a part
being smart and proud.
Sounds of the day ceaseless go,
know no specific bounds
Arrogance sounds good
on shouting day of nuisance.
Run on days to cope with busy noisy life,
but have fun.
Sounds of the day ceaseless go,
know no specific bounds.
Loud you are, bold to shout as life will sound.
Fight in marital clash on noisy day
gets cooled on calm night.
Sounds of the day ceaseless go,
know no specific bounds
Observe days full of noises
to meet silent night with love.

Kids nowadays don't know the fine art of staging Halloween tricks,
(Though they are very adept at fleecing me for candy to get their kicks!)
Tricks we did as kids would no doubt today land us in the slammer,
Causing outrage and rancor by folks for our hides with great clamor!
Obviously, we didn't hang around to collect a tasty treat,
But did our dastardly deeds and made a very hasty retreat!
A favorite prank was upsetting outhouses and the havoc that created,
Causing the hapless owners angst and leaving them somewhat agitated!
Another silly trick that raised a stink that we did with great dispatch,
Was to place a bag of manure on the porch and light it with a match.
We'd knock on the door, then run like a bat outta you know where,
Watching the guy stomp out the fire and you shoulda heard him swear!
The tamest thing we did was to soap window panes with a bar of soap,
Leaving naughty witticisms for which the occupants had to cope!
In the autumn of my years I reflect on the Halloweens of my youth,
And wonder why my pals and I acted so buffoonish and uncouth!
Robert L. Hinshaw, CMSgt, USAF, Retired
If gifts were hung like tempting ripened fruit,
forbidden to but one the tree would share;
what turmoil would possess my thoughts to bear
when tossed in sweet decisions to dispute.
Until I reach with cause so resolute,
one for which all reason should prepare,
I tremble, lost in doubts that feign to dare
- the choice a hasty heart deemed absolute.
So much to choose on each embellished limb,
promises of health and wealth and fame
- intelligence and beauty to possess.
Yet there upon the laden boughs they trim
I grasped the only one my heart would claim,
the brightest of them all was happiness!
Oh, the hasty heart,
can you not see the havoc that you wreak?
The proof has lain before you, right from the start,
all the evidence you ever could seek.
Your wishes, your desires, we can't escape,
'what the heart wants' an all too familiar fate;
sometimes our own destinies we wish to shape,
free from the paths that you dictate.
Oh, the hasty heart.
Your own hungers upon us you force,
thrusting us into the fire, emotionally bare;
you show us what you want, telling us our course –
making us want to search for someone who might not be there.
What should we do, to make you cease
your eloquent pleas for someone to be closer to?
Indeed, is there any way at all to decrease
the frequency of your calls to companionship pursue?
Oh, the hasty heart.
To you I struggle, no longer to defer,
my fight in this world, from under your veil to depart;
instead of your orders and longing, just advice I would prefer –
yours, instinctive but yielding, my oh so hasty heart.
Operating on egos, heavy trust excavator
Temptress trampled tendons, smooth massuese
Promised loyalty, gushing hasty behaviour
Brought men false hope of frail soul's spruce
In her rancid blood, infused through bone
Methods to tease displayed glitter gleam genuine
Blinded sociable victims, feelings on loan
Passed true hearts to her raw to be grilled in pain
Phillippa's diction wrapped wholly in self progess
Dripping honey hands rubbed despondent
Caused fragile faith to cluster beneath her caress
Pleased moans drown clandestine wanton
Balmy endearment seeped from lascivious tongue
Money fled cheerfully from them as echoes
Sweet sway, her silky serenade, systematically sung
Stifled sage judges amidst ravenous shadows
