The New Year is approaching
But I’m not prepared
Emotions that are torturing me
Have left me in despair
The months are moving forward
But I have not fulfilled
My hopes are frozen solid
The fantasies congealed
Will I acquire happiness
Will I remain the same
And will get the riches
And happiness I claim
The thoughts are battling inside of me
Not granting me reprieve
As days are flying past me
The forsaken wishes that I grieve
And life’s accelerating
But I am getting by
My goals are hopes are waiting
And I am wondering why
So may be the New Year will finally reveal
And manifest my destiny
And my aspirations will not appear surreal
Among varied ministry writing tasks
in prayer updates is where my soul basks.
God’s grace at work I wondrously behold
as answers to supplications are told.
The Lord constantly supplies every need
with redemption and revival indeed.
Healing for sick brethren makes heart rejoice
along fast recovery midst faith poise.
Family concerns seeking radiant hope
are secured with wisdom so as to cope.
Timely provisions show Saviour knows best
granting perfectly each urgent request.
Aware of these truths, list I check with zeal
including those “safe pregnancy” appeal.
There are names under special plea section
asking help for divine intervention.
Bound for prayer gratitude and praise time
I received note of testimonial chime.
“Thanks*; good news… please have my name deleted
my boy's now five months old; I’m delighted.”

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY DELIVERANCE CHAMPION
Lord God, You are my deliverance Champion
Who prevails against my pride
Thank You for rebuking me in engaging in worldly ride
Forgive me not following You with holy stride…
I draw near to You; in Your presence I abide.
Lord God, You are my deliverance Champion
Who purges my heart’s haughtiness
Thank You for securing me in Your gentle kindness
Forgive me not pursuing after Your righteousness…
I obey You; privileged to serve You with willingness.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR SHOWING YOUR KINDNESS UNTO ME
Thank You for showing Your kindness unto me verily well
While ruling over me even when I failed and fell
Especially in drawing me out from the fires of hell
For me to enjoy Your blessings, and Your mercy to others tell.
Thank You for showing Your kindness unto me with Your truthfulness
While standing by me upon Your righteousness
Especially in welcoming me to Your worship house midst joyousness
For me to experience Your goodness and graciousness.
Thank You for showing Your kindness unto me with Your prosperity
While satisfying me with Your provisions’ bounty
Especially in loving me despite my insufficiency and disability
For me to follow Your ways of perfection-certainty.
Thank You for showing Your kindness unto me midst sin-caused fainting
While dealing well with me by Your forgiveness in my humble repenting
Especially in responding to me in my earnest entreating
For me to stay in Your plan and perform my oath with Your covenant-setting.
Thank You for showing Your kindness unto me so wondrously
While assuring me Your presence delightfully
Especially in granting me my desires miraculously
For me to praise Your name sincerely and jubilantly.
Thank You for showing Your kindness unto me for my godly involvements
While uplifting me by Your promises and encouragements
Especially in making me progress in my commitments
For me to obey Your voice and keep Your commandments.

While loading me with Your substance so savoury and fueling

Always do your best; that is right
such brings fulfillment to the heart
granting you God's joyous delight.
Always trust the great Lord; so true
such verily gladdens the soul
smiting feelings, gloomy and blue.
Always practice kindness; oh, sure
such builds up good and firm friendship
creating fellowship pleasure.
Always stay teachable; yes, check
such smites folly and deceit's pest
shielding from ignorance-caused wreck.
Always reign against hate; seek peace
such rancor inflicts guilty pain
exposing well-being’s disease.
Always seek to rejoice*; be nice
such forgiveness-bliss melts despair
along reconciliation price.
Always be a blessing; so pray
such indeed shows your genuine love
illumined by Christ's gracious ray.
*Philippians 4:4 - Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

The love of God is unlimitedly vast
no measure of it can we attain
it’s fathomless in its great depth
no description’s possible from any brain
Almighty God Himself sends it forth
in all His great deeds of kindness
protecting sustaining this earth here
no matter our worsening spiritual blindness
God loves us no matter our great sin
how often we betray Him but yet
He keeps pouring it out upon us
this we owe Him an unpayable debt
But this debt Jesus paid in full
giving His life as a sacrificial lamb
what price is this of such love
granting to us His healing balm
Many waters can’t quench love
no amount of oceans remove it away
for God’s love is indeed simply perfect
coming constantly filling our needful bay

Although the moments gone by, we release,
memory sometimes stokes dying ember,
rekindling pain, granting them new life lease,
unless we shrug and slip into slumber.
The fault as always, is our delusion,
yet stagnating in earth bound attachment,
indulgence therein, cause of confusion,
plunging heart into deep discontentment.
Our mindful eye quickly detects the fault,
recognising life play as but a dream,
wherein soul’s immune from ego’s assault,
provided presence shines like a sunbeam.
Pendulum of time swings by night and day,
mattering not if love, be our mainstay.
