To feel foolish when used, becomes sadness
when her glimmering glow smiled to convey
and grew brighter when I found love's madness
as trepidations and fears never outweigh
the time we spent seemed an endless span
and awakened passions of fiery blood
kisses as many as the ocean's sand
as fragrant as a flowering rosebud
my heart's foolish pain is easy to find
roses always die when plucked and thrown down
and leave memories too fresh to unwind
inside my heart, a lonely fool was found
could that I look fondly upon those days
she was so beautiful, her beauty stays

contest My Foolish Heart
There's no set list of motivational things I can name
because my inspirational impetus is never the same.
Often, I'm encouraged to pick up my pen and write
by celestial bodies glimmering upon me in the night.
What moves me to choose canvas and brush to paint
can be induced by flower, a child, there's no restraint
when it comes to what triggers my mind as inspirations.
It can be reading works of a Master Poet's compilations.
There are no bounds that hold back my impulses to act.
I'm easily prone to create from song lyrics. That's a fact.
I'm prodded to cook after coming across a good recipe,
maybe tweaking it with a bit of this or that to satisfy me.
I'm an artist at heart, finding inspiration in everything...
sunrise, butterflies, my senses honed by birds that sing.
I'm stirred by many touchstones that spur my imagination.
Remaining open-minded is a great source of stimulation.
I've been inspired by compliments and even disrespect.
They serve as catalysts, like an inspirational architect
that lead me to find new provocation; a spark to ignite
the fire of creativity within me to rise up and take flight.

The kitchen hums with
the smell of cinnamon sticks
snapping in simmering cider.
Outside, boots crunch
on the new snow~
a chorus far away
breathes frost
onto stained glass.
Dad’s fingertips run along
the spine of his favorite,
well-worn book~
the fireplace murmurs
holiday delight in
orange and blue
tongues.
The Christmas tree is drooping,
its needles brushing
against my skin~
its lights are blinking
their light flowing down
on glimmering
ornaments.
The grandfather clock's
pendulum slowly swings,
taking in the hour~
the day stretches long
and full
like the chiming
of Christmas bells.
Long prior, a young fellow, was perched over a bluff
Gazing at the sea, in a bright Oregon town
He sees hanging low, CLOUDS coming soon
All of a sudden, from the sky, a falling quill, shows up next to him
The young fellow gets up, and strolls forward, for greater CLARITY
Concealed, behind a curve, on the precipice's side
As the waves are breaking tenderly, on the frothy shoreline
Out of the blue, from the sky, a falling quill, shows up next to him
An icy breeze, substantial, with a salty fog shows up
Brushes over and around him, with a delicate breeze CHALLENGE
As he ran his ghost fingers tenderly, through his delicate hair
Sudden there swooped, a falling quill, shows up next to him
As he plummets the precarious sand and wood stairs
To the coaxing, shoreline, beneath
The young fellow, looks upward, into the sky
In an unexpected flash, a heavenly attendant, shows up next to him
The young fellow, now an old man
Did not recollect that, anything, simply just the vision, he viewed
His soul will always remember that snapshot
Of glimmering hues, daylight beams and quills
The old man will recall forget, that supernatural portrait
Of the Angel he met -- Amid MY LIFE'S Trip!
It was peaceful down there
Sitting on the bottom,
Water muffling what I hear.
A lovely day in autumn
To explore some water,
the task at hand.
To escape temps getting hotter
By treading lake instead of land.
It was peaceful down there
Looking up, seeing the shimmering
Of what is usually blinding surface glare
Instead be gorgeous graceful glimmering.
Floating just barely, a little free
Moment seen rarely, for young me
But, to speak fairly, what else could be.
It was peaceful, then it was dire
See the distance to the surface
When my lungs turned to metal on fire.
Full panic, not anxious nor nervous
Only desperate to get to my air
Desperate to be off the floor
Desperate to be pulled from despair
Desperate to live, welled up from my core.
It was peaceful, then it was dire
When I couldn’t kick or stroke legs or arms
Fast enough before the time did expire
For me to surface, despite my head’s alarms.
I remember next only the shore
Dizzily aware that I wasn’t where I was before.
An attempt to vomit, with a much different feeling,
Like being squeezed in the lungs, and it sent me reeling
Back to whatever is called floating in blackness, begging to come back
When you can feel in the tether the slackness, but you’re still trying to track.
When you’re keenly aware that you’re in danger and something is very wrong.
And all you can do is hope to whatever gods that they made your body strong.
Mind The Mines
Deep in the pits he digs with no miner’s lamp in hand to lighten the grime
‘alight’ whisper diminishing grips from the edge of bored winzes whence
the shafted canary slowly progresses towards breathless suffocation
Fists in anger palms and realms blistered oozing from purulent scratches
surface subdued in labyrinth’s mazes wretched wrenched and perplexed
An ossuary with bones and fragmented ember of mental contention crushed
seduced by toxic waters confronting the essence and one final leap for the void
Then buried yet glimmering a candle flickers to shine and gold dust blows
the canary and the miner a kiss of life so that Orpheus finds solace in realisation
that shadows and light must be married for a way in and way out to emerge

Glistening like jewels,
Sparkling sapphires – twinkling topaz
Glittering garnet, radiant ruby
Dazzling danburite – elegant emerald
Fresh water pearls and a shimmering
So soothing, a gentle light…
Erasing the darkness of night,
Reminding the heart why there is
The moon in the sky, the starriest eyes
Vibrant, lively smiles – silencing
The doubt, wiping away the clouds
Coloring life with love so alive
This is the moment, the truth – pale
And warm, awaiting the chance to reveal
Hearts, souls – miracles that steal
Away the dread, the fears and tears –
Remembering to embrace the feelings
With joy that knows no despair,
Wonder that is a promise in the air…
Exciting the moments, elated with the hope,
Promise of laughter and sunshine,
Miracles who vibrate through the spirit
Awakening the memories of a childhood
Dream, a pleasant feeling – a sense of peace
Abiding on the inside of a whisper,
Silencing the darkest doubts, echoing
Inspirations, the muse of a heart who knows
Joy comes to those who believe…
Every jewel – every charm… is a crystal
Perfect moment when the stars quiet their
Glow so we on this earth can know…
It is love that glistens brighter than the snow!

Loud dins of nihility whirls and twirls around,
Reverberating sharply in my churning mind,
Humming lowly & resonating strange they sound,
Filling my spaces with patterns and frequencies of all kind.
Vacuously locked into blunt spaces my eyes,
Are spiked with ***** scabbards of blankness…
Glimmering tear drops hold tenderness that never dries,
keep fondly trickling out from my eyes with quaintness.
My ear drums swell from within to capture,
Dull shrills of echoes from within me,
“Nothingness” they trap on the verge of their rupture,
Sounds from around me ascend to a higher degree.
My heart beats itself sore,
As “nothingness” it just can’t anymore bear,
Only love and peace can usher in some more,
Feelings of tranquility and life full of softness and care.
me and myself now for sure know,
That “nothingness” can fathoms away keep,
So reflection & solitude, will in my mind sow,
And “nothingness” within me will forever put to sleep.
Now
“Nothingness” have kept at bay,
now within have positivity filled in me,
do not care what they to me will say,
And live my life “nothingness” free.
Quote "In a world of fragrance both are caught
trapped together when love is found"...poet
In her eyes, I find a warm vision
of Heaven and Earth
where stars pierce twilight skies
and flocks of starlings burst into air
like rain drizzling from a rainbow
onto flaming fragrant flowers
in a meadow green
where words are whispered in their softest tone
to evoke deeper passions of heartfelt trembles
that pours from every fiber into our soul
beneath romantic skies of clouds floating
under a red-threaded horizon
where we await the softest light of dawn
that will cover our shadows in morning dew
dripping from each blade of grass
crushed beneath our skin
where we have loved since the moon rose
in the starry glimmering glow of night
that washed across the meadow
when love burned in our eyes
and silence tethered our souls to paradise
as the beauty of our love ascended
at the tavern in the darkening hours
a drunkard swallows the small world reflected in his glass
at one gulp, emboldened, he dances with inflamed eyes
brandishing the ornamental sword taken down from the wall
and yells “I conquered the world, I unified the country”
“wow, be careful! you may hurt the others”
when the sword, however, fails to find the sworn enemy
to thrust or to slash
the aimless point of the sword flashes through the air
and each time he wields the sword sparks fly
when the sword dance becomes wilder, the world
under the drunkard’s feet staggers; the drunkard
pours the unbalanced world into his glass
and shares out his spoils looted while dancing the wild sword dance
“hey, you! haven’t you heard of Hess’ Law before?”
it’s pitiful to watch the defeated ones lying on the floor
bleeding from their wounds, the horrors heaped up all day
turn into darkness, and as darkness thickens
a stray glimmering star appears in the sky above the horizon
the star looking at its own image
reflecting in the little world in the glass
falls from the sky intoxicated by the smell of hard liquor
becomes a drop of dew and sleeps lying on a street lamp
