It all starts with prayers and bursting of crackers!
Sweets and savouries enhance our hor's d'oeuvers!
Age old traditions and customaries , are scientifically beneficial !
With the changing world, lets make it strategical !,,
Let's enjoy the spirit if diwali,
Also considering the environment and other creature's,,,,Anamoly !
Let's not pollute the environment,
Burst crackers with acceptable decibels as a commitment !
This world is indeed a beautiful place,
Let's unitedly celebrate the festival of lights with grace !

As golden orb descends in dainty steps to invite
black darkness to embosom the sky at night
on this joyful eve of 'The Festival of Lights,
amidst dangling artifacts - a common sight,
my simple clay diya radiates light so bright:
glowing and gleaming steadily despite
swaying gently in soft wind after twilight -
and gently whispers Divine wisdom to enlight
our souls with the bliss of purity of the right
and in its warmth, may the spirit of goodness alight
and dispel the gloom of hatred and greed - to ignite
and invoke the holy spark of Truth in delight

I like it in the autumn fall,it is so colourful.
There are so many shades of colourful leaves,
Greens yellow , red, orange and browns .
Astounding colours I could watch them for hours,
As the autumn breeze blows you can see leaves flutter and
Cascade from their trees and gently land to the ground.
In time a carpert of leaves cover the ground , for autumn
Is here. It makes me sad to know more rainy days are here in the autumn and darker nights. My only constalation is the autumn traditional events that take place every year .
These events bring people together ,Diviali Hindu festival of lights. Bonfire night , fireworks night and Halloween night.
Safety is a must at all times , watch your surroundings and
When in company of fireworks stand clear and take care.
When the heavens open and it rains or should I say pours
It puts a dampener on my mood, all I want is to stay Indoors with my duvet and a hot drink.
Rain mixed with wet leaves has a musty smell and those leaves are so slippery so watch out when your about. A
Autumnal season is here for September ,October's and November. Keep those winter coats , hats ,gloves and boots ready
And that trusty umbrella for what ever the weather.
The weather is chill and pleasant
Diwali fervor is round the corner
Yet my soul is not in synch
My mind doesn’t budge to tyranny
Will there be a cracker of a time
When firecrackers are banished
No: age cannot wither her;
Nor custom stale; in her infinite glory
Goddess Lakshmi is supreme!
Despots on prowl for exploits
State in cahoots with alien drill
It isn’t the strength of enemy
It is about Hindu gone astray
Having an unholy union
Diwali is victory of good over evil
It is about destroying the wicked
It is against villains spewing venom
It dispels gloom and darkness!
The smoke from burning embers
In the stomach of a billion Hindu
Will soon balloon to a wrath
The impact of which will witness
“Narakasura” perishing soon
Satyabhama’s ire will cause fire.
Charred bodies will lay strewn
Casting ultimate indignity fo
vexatious brigands.
Diwali is the Festival of Lights
It is knowledge to counter ignorance
Diwali is a festival of hope and happiness
It rings in prosperity to all
A very colorful event that
Usher cheer in people’s life!
since nearly three millennia
the exact origin
muddled thru times
come every fall
from the Taj Mahal
to sacred temples
to the humblest homes
around the world
the festival of lights
dazzles during five days
of exuberant worship
and lush ritual in celebration
of triumph of good over evil
millions of oil lamps and candles
and sparklers are lit
setting the nights ablaze
in honor of knowledge
and consciousness
as families gather and feast
unleashing prayers for peace

Light a Deep of Happiness or Hopes
Today is Dewali,*
Light a Deep* of happiness or hopes
in your life,
Even if, you are not celebrating Dewali,
just wait a little more and
Light at least a candle of hope.
If, no hopes are visible all around you,
Bring a smile on your gloomy face,
and wipe all the tears from your eyes,
as your hopes are bound to bring your dreams
sooner or later close.

Seize the day
This Diwali night is the Festival of Lights,
A spark lend to dull and monotonous lives,
Living without friends is as if in a desert,
Souls chasing mirage, getting badly hurt,
Dr. Sonia created a group on whatsapp,
Eleven of us invited to join the app,
Sand dunes as if vanished in air,
How quick did we regain our flair,
Old days flash in memories afresh,
Precious moments getting subtly dressed,
Heart beats drummed, showered gold,
Emotional outburst is ready to unfold,
Murmurs in rhythm are ready to dance,
Joys abound attained in a stance,
Seize the day today, it's a worldly meet,
Never to part, future longing to greet !

Festival of Lights
The festival of lights came during the darkest of times..!!
The lord of lords returned home, defeating the great king who was lost..!!
Today during the darkest phase of my life, I wish I could be happy again..!!
Watching the beautiful lights around, and people enjoy their time.!!
For me the view today is no longer beautiful but the worse..!!
No, it is not about my own personal plight..!!
But about the people who have lost their sight..!!
We forget the lord belongs to all, he is not just yours or mine..!!
It is the celebration of lights, but we feel pride bursting the fire crackers all throughday and night..!!
Forgetting about the pain of the voiceless, already living a life noone else would like..!!
Looking at them running around looking for a safe heaven for a little while..!!
But we laugh watching them run around all scared, which is not a pleasant sight!!
We try to help, by giving a few a shelter but still so many still suffer the pain..!!
Lord !!
Can't you see all this? Or you just prefer to ignore!! What is that you would gain?
Or our lives do not matter to you anymore??
We want to help, but can't..
I am losing the faith I love, losing the faith on you my lord..!!
Lord .. I look upto you for help.. I beg of you for support and a ray of light!!
