“Charm is a delusion and beauty fleeting but a God fearing woman is to be honored” - Proverbs 31:10-31

Capable Woman

A capable woman plants seeds to birth in a harvest plan
Buys a fruitful vineyard and tends it with a tender hand

Clothed in dignity she plants seeds of holiness
Daughter of the Lord she remembers the poor in lowliness

Entrepreneur who gathers God’s inspiration like sheaths of wheat
Feeding the hungry around her table replete

Gleaning goodness from God’s gifts at hand
Happy in the work of her hands

In the shadows of dawn sings psalms to the morning
Jewel treasured at the city gates borning

Knowing her need for God today
Loyalty guides her prayer ballet

More precious than rubies her family devotion
No idle hands rest at dawn or dusk in harmonic motion

Offering light in the darkness from her overflowing lamp
Purple cloth and linen dress her in steadfast mercy’s stamp

Quiet moments in knowing calm as God’s cherished child
Reveries of laughter flow like satin pearls mild

Soaring on silk wings of blessings chivalrous
To reject bread seasoned with the frivolous

Unrestrained joy as she weaves comforting cloaks
Vigor in the fruit of her labor contentment evokes

Wise woman who speaks with humility’s pace
Xenith of creativity in woven patterns of grace

Yet she embraces the caress of God’s ways
Zeal shines out as she embraces each day

Premium Member Sir Richard Branson - Rocket Man

Sir Richard Branson - Rocket Man
There was a boy who had not fared well at school
Years gone by and no one could call him a fool
Now a business tycoon and philanthropist
Virgin records, first venture on his checklist.

The owner of the Virgin Group he became
An entrepreneur with stand out claim to fame
Though it was not always a smooth sailing ride
He took the failures and mishaps in his stride.

Sir Richard Branson, born in nineteen fifty
Dyslexia made school a difficulty
That didn’t stop him chasing his ambition
He was determined to follow his vision.

A star in the making he just would not quit
Nothing and no one would stand in way of this
Each successful venture led to another
Outer space was the quest above all other.

Exploring space travel Sir Richard wished to do
Virgin Galactic has made the dream come true
This year SpaceShipTwo made its first test flight
The six on board had the journey of their life.

Sir Richard’s virtue is a lesson to all
His charitable kindness defines his call
We have to admire this boundless superman
May he continue for as long as he can.

It goes to show however humble life starts
Determination can fly one to the stars.

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards

I'm so incredibly proud and privileged ,
to be recognised by the #GBEA '25 team,
The fact that I've been shortlisted,
Is far beyond my wildest dream.

Single mum to three wild boys,
They're the apple of my eyes,
I'm the founder of Lotus Poetry,
A new and upcoming social enterprise.

I'm running on purpose and passion,
Lots of caffeine, kindness and care,
But I'm really struggling to find,
The funds to get me there.

Real life isn't like a fairytale,
This Cinderella is doing her best,
Working hard to find a way,
To attend with all the rest.

Where I get time for me,
It's not often that I do,
I hope I make it work,
So my dream can come true.

A night off from the boys,
So I can drink and dance,
An opportunity to meet you all,
Thanking you for this incredible chance.

Need For Patience

Yeah, life here is being mean,
Everything behind me is not clean,
Trying best to hold you prove we`re never demeaned.
Nkasa pii, esans3 bibia ny3 basaa over what we`ve seen.
Days pass by teaching us the scope of hard times,
The season bounded for us without crimes,
I can`t anticipate even when hope get in lines.
Is it about your right to get to greater heights?

Masa si aboter3,
Adiepena nti nhy3 nnim`guase3 atare3,
Good moments predict our time to be there,
The battle of monks is like the games we don`t prefer,
Where we`ve kept fixed is not rare,
You`re the best to show the goals we deter.
I mean your dream to be an entrepreneur.
Soldiers from left comes with polar bear,
Meet our sensations though it`s blur.
Tricky sentiments born from the belly that no one can sell.
How did that occur?
Until nothing is left in the world, many don`t care.

Nkoranhy3 ne gyidie na y3 p3,
Nso ahoper3 atwi y3n afiri nia ehia ho,
Is it the best among what lovers demand to rule?
Believe the concept since no one is in good shoe.
Rain falling into ocean whiles men keep face in bad mood,
Read the chapter and flow me the point to silence the fool.
Who knows the king of tomorrow?
Medi3 wo niy3 nny3 f3 nti ma mi nky3 wo omo,
Take wash na enya meners to follow.
If you don’t believe just look through the hollow.
We need to question no soul who hate our might,
Don`t touch me for I`m not here to fight.
Grounded mind is in a flight,
Back to our route is not what they show us in the light,
Dadaa amani3 ama dodo) na ay3 tight.
Till we see our graves the sadness will remain in the night.
Is your nigga, so hold it one side…?

Labor Day 2021

Courtesy of one or more tradesmen,
first Monday in September set aside
for employees able, eager, ready
and willing to acquire money
to marry groom or bride
climb the corporate ladder or
become an artisan, entrepreneur, technician
to side step getting rung, drafted
like an oxen plow, commandeered and chide
by management as insubordinate
till retirement or join kiln fields once died

from over exertion, yet nonetheless
sweat of brow efforts praised I espied
searching me noggin brief history re:
aforesaid day, where barbecues fried
dispersed aromas recognizing efforts
of workers with quality control as guide
grievances against danger challenged
sense and sensibility stalwart did not hide
the shenanigans that took place inside

boardrooms in tandem with glories of
American made products from those
who put figurative nose to grindstone –
just common everyday Jane's and Joe’s
who weathered extreme temperatures,
whereby bodies froze
but thanks to those who battled elements
at large and snatched doze

birth of brute efforts eventually
earned reserved renowned
borne couple shy of
nineteenth century, whence sound
of industrial silence replaced with
parades where hoof beats did pound
burgeoning and bustling city streets
echoed along hardened ground
fealty to country soldered
with faith, federation union freedom
and job security did thence abound,

which holiday underwent
transformations as bustle
and hustle proved myth regarding
land of milk and honey –
from straining of muscle
whereby life, liberty and pursuit
of happiness less of physical tussle

set (thank you Masons and Dixons)
cornerstone to an invisible
complex edifice originally from New York
forgotten builders, farmers, machinists,
et cetera who laid groundwork
wrought by destruction
from Civil War largesse and pork
loosed from the bottle in
Antebellum South, when off flew cork
freeing a genie, which became rendered
supremely courtly poet, i.e. this former dork.

after a war and a mask

After the war

There had been a war that Germany lost
a soldier found a mask made of wood
in a basement and took it home  as a souvenir
When demobilized, he sold the mask to
a second-hand shop, as no one knew it's
real value, he was only paid a few shillings
enough for a few pints at the local pub
The store owner put the mask on a shelf
where it lingered until an art collector saw
the mask and quickly bought it cheaply
the store owner was glad to be rid of the
mask as it, despite being face down on
a shelf, made him shudder.
a visiting American entrepreneur bought
the mask that in the night sprung alive
and thanked the American for rescuing him
a life on a shelf and promised to make
He was super rich as he had been a god
of wealth in the Roman epoch.
True to his words,  the entrepreneur had
success, whatever scheme he had, came up
triumph, he came to be known as the
the richest man in the world, which we know
is abstract, as only those who can conquer
death is wealthy.
Nevertheless, our cereuses set about
creating an artificial being with super-high
intelligence yet free of soul and emotions
a construct living forever
The rich man's plan, when his time was up
to become an AI and rule the world
a thousand years to come
The mask that hung securely on his office
the wall fell and broke in bits, and out came
slimy  maggots as telling our rich man that
only un-life lives forever

The Essence of a Passionate Life

Life is an adventure
are you ready to drive?

To launch as an entrepreneur

We take on our passions
and work our bucket list in life

And laugh at the danger
and wade through the strife

Architect a world full of mystery and intrigue
Work our way through this very limited time here

10 lifetimes would maybe be enough
to see our life's work done indeed

So smile and whistle in your day
and apply yourself all in good time

And bring your passion and zeal to obstacles
so its not wear in the daily grind

There is a world to be conquered
with science, art and time

And just the activity
can make life sublime

- the essence of a passionate life  For Richard Troy, Chief Scientist, Science Tools, Karmann Ghia God, Da Vinci to my Michaelangelo (C) May 23rd, 2011  Artimus Aka Susan Manley

The Entrepreneur

A recent share on a post, that is so relevant to poets writing in a world seeped in instant self gratification.

Title.

The Entrepreneur

(A lone voice whispers)

We do what we do, because we are old school

Inspired by the likes of visionaries such as, Michelangelo or, Vincent van Gogh

For in a modern world driven to seek immediate validation, and the trappings of success

We may be becoming a rare breed

For deep down, we know this unconditionally
Unconsciously

We are a work in progress

We who do the hard work constantly, through patience, and resilience

We know we will eventually see the journey has been worth it

As we are blessed

When the world eventually sees or embraces our portfolios

For that immense need driven by relentless consistency, patience, and resilience

Will eventually knock on a certain door to be opened by us

Marked

"For the brave
Who conquered the Lands of Broken Dreams filled with Regrets"

A Token of Love

A loving gift of appreciation
all that you have done
throughout the times spent
out of others, you were the one
the person that saw me through
the one that understood
the person that cared the most
the one that showed support
a gift of love
a gift of appreciation
a reward that is so genuine
because you deserve the best
thanks for the great times
being so kind, all of the moments
the laughs, the love
all the rest, just because.
