Life is like a puzzle
The cannon cannot move
Without it paddle
Create this words
and that is what to say
Create this path
And that is the way
Being truthful is righteousness
And that leads
To freedom and happiness
And wickedness brings violence
For one thing leads to another
The sunny weather
Brings about the rainy weather
The failure of man
Is his down fall
If you throw a ball
Towards a wall
It bounces back to you
You shall surely reap
What you sow
If you do not
Think of enslaving me
There won't be slavery
For bad imagination
Is negative perception
And positivity is perfection
Day after Day
I feel caged
When separated from you
With that feeling
that a part of me
is being winded away
from its' very source
day after day
I choke and gape for air
With the feeling
that my life is slowly drawn away
Day after day
Makes me wonder
Why my eyes wanders’
after you day after day
Soaking in saline mist
enslaving me to my visions
Now you know
how l feel day after day
as I yell at the sun
bark to the moon
and whispers to the stars
day after day
not to take you away
but to shield you
from every present lurking danger
Letting them know
that you are here to me
stationed as a source
radiating it's beaming lights
on me day after day
Now you know
how each good bye
is a languishing torture
while i wait tormented
with the tickling of the dial
as l wait praying for your return
Now you know
how l feel day after day
shaken as l lay with you
So as not to miss another day
as the world is musing it time
to come to its' final phase
March 3 Scripture Meditations Based on 1Samuel 29-31
Key Verse – 1Samuel 30:6 And David was greatly distressed; …: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR ENCOURAGING ME
Thank You for encouraging me midst disappointment
Surely prodding me to continue in my commitment
And in my heavenly involvement…
Here am I revived
toward spiritual fulfillment.
Thank You for encouraging me midst misery
Surely moving me to choose Your granted victory
And Your majestic glory…
Here am I cheered up
toward sharing Your Gospel story.
Thank You for encouraging me midst frustration
Surely urging me to overcome every persecution
And every sorrowful frustration…
Here am I strengthened
toward character-perfection.
Thank You for encouraging me midst hardship
Surely helping me to strive along Your leadership
And Your guarding partnership…
Here am I upheld
toward fruitful stewardship.
Thank You for encouraging me midst challenges
Surely propelling me with Your inspiring charges
And purposive changes…
Here am I guided
toward freedom-driven soulwinning against enslaving sin-cages.
Thank You for encouraging me midst hypocrisy
Surely rebuking me by Your truth’s consistency
And tender mercy…
Here am I exhorted
toward ministry-service with fervency.

If I Could Only Have Tomorrow
I've loved you for so long now
I've loved you from afar.
Nights I've prayed to have you.
I've even wished upon a star.
Nothing's gotten me closer
like I hoped to be to you.
I could dream forever
and not see one dream come true.
And so I come before you
and I get down on one knee.
And ask if there might be a way
you'd do one thing for me.
One day to last my lifetime
an ending to my sorrow.
Let me be with you tonight
and let me have tomorrow.
Let me look into your eyes
as the sun begins to shine.
Let me if for a moment
just pretend your mine.
It's not about the love we'll make
or the joy I hope you find.
I've loved you for forever
already in my mind.
If only I can have tomorrow
just to see you in the dawn.
I swear to you if you want me to
by nightfall I'll be gone.
Then though I be forgotten
and you can't recall my name.
No longer sad and lonely
I'll still love you just the same.
Living in the memory
I'd beg or steal or borrow.
Enslaving me and saving me
if I could only have tomorrow.
Edwin C Hofert
I chose to write,
For all those torn-off branches,
For all those scarred backs,
For all those dehumanized bodies,
For all those centuries of persecution.
I chose to read,
To deconstruct racialist concepts,
To destroy the carnivorous chains of slavery,
To desacralize the supremacist missions of colonization,
To uproot the alienation installed in my consciousness, brutalized by imperialist Westernization.
I chose to educate myself,
To denounce the negrophobia of the Republic of Enlightenment turned slave trader,
To challenge the heirs of the enslaving empire of racist philosophers,
To never forget the bestiality of the Code Noir,
The savagery of the slave trades,
The barbarity of human zoos,
To never erase from my scorched memory the drownings of black bodies.
I chose to turn off my television,
To no longer listen to parrots singing the praises of xenophobia,
To no longer be imprisoned by the conspiratorial diatribes of the fascist fanatics of the far right,
To no longer watch the privileged squabble while fattening themselves on the taxes of the proletariat,
To no longer pollute my mind, tormented by the misery of the cradle of humanity.
I chose to fully embrace my Africanness,
To never say that my ancestors were Gauls,
Like those domestic blacks who champion the celebration of republican hypocrisy,
To never curse Africa in my heart,
Like those traitors who participated in the slave trades, slavery, colonization, and neocolonization,
To never sanctify the banana republics of the sphere of influence of the so-called homeland of human rights,
Which drives thousands of Sub-Saharans onto the deadly paths of clandestine migration,
To never place myself on the same level as those racist, racialist, supremacist, and eugenicist complexes,
Who sustain vile theories about the utopia of racial superiority.

The self-obsessive free-will seemingly dormant,
envelopes the possessed mind with an illusory veil,
obscures the ordained destination God decides,
l need to reach, for I’m subservient of His will.
The unseen glow of the omnipresent light
floods my possessed essence, but I don’t perceive,
for I formulate the free-rule tenets enslaving the ego
in the realm of fantasized self-deception.
The stain of murky disdain blemishes the spirit,
as I traverse the slimy ground of cardinal indulgence.
Life is stifled by the corrupt clutch hidden within,
in penitence I feel the pernicious pangs of pain.
I travel unshackled out of the dark abyss of anguish,
on the inward journey through layers of consciousness,
perceive in the soul the shine of the spiritual crystal,
radiating in the inner sanctum with divine bliss.
Within the deep space of my godly awareness,
my soul sparkles with the brilliance of sacred sapphire.
In my self-searching odyssey at the edge of eternity
the luster of devout acuity turns me into a living gem.
With them, it's always been about lineage.
An overinflated self-worth, unbridled privilege.
An incurable case of chronic God complex.
Justification for sacking villages, countries, continents.
Taxing everything into spiraling debt and death.
Hoarding stolen gold and precious gems.
Making certain everyone has less than them.
Enslaving dreams of every woman and man.
Knighting everyday with blackness and dread.
Chaining those with any hint of dissent.
Rewarding themselves with garish monuments.
While the self-professed Gods overindulge
in blood-soaked magnificent opulence.
Serfs pulled the weight of Kingdoms and continents
Sun-burned and underfed, tilling tired fields.
Putting milk in empty bellied pails.
Tending flocks, kept the castle tidy.
Wiped royal asses, put fish in the krill.
Fought in the king's frivolous battles.
Enduring hunger, plagues, bent backs.
Forever dodging frivolous royal wrath.
The roaming hoards and king-sized rats.
The serfs sang, worked, and prayed hard and meant it.
A well-known fact that royals seem to have forgotten:
Real Gods were never inbred, mentally defective mad men.
Real Gods don't have bad teeth or straddle chamber pots.
Serfs have always been far more important than kings.
Without them king (dumbs) would have collapsed.
Serfs should be the grandest piece on a chessboard.
Not cannon fodder for a Plastic king's plastic wars.
God save the SERFS
The self-obsessive free-will ever seemingly dormant,
envelopes the mind with an unreal veil transient,
obscures the ordained destination God decides,
l need to reach for I should at His will.
The unseen glow of the omnipresent light
floods my possessed essence, but I don’t perceive,
for I formulate the free-rule tenets enslaving the ego
in the realm of fantasized self-deception.
The stain of murky disdain blemishes the face,
I traverse the slimy ground of cardinal sin,
life is stifled by the corrupt clutch hidden within,
in repentance I feel the pernicious pangs of pain.
I travel unshackled out of the dark abyss of despair,
on inward journey through layers of consciousness,
perceive in the soul the radiance of divine beacon,
illumining the corridor leading to the abode of bliss.
The ill-conceived venture of the errant mind
finds gloomy dead end in the introspection path,
that’s when the door of the inner sanctum opens,
where the lotus blooms suffused with divine light.
The soul shines with astral radiance in my deep space
with the flaring brilliance of thousand suns,
in my self-searching odyssey at the edge of eternity
I discern the inner galaxy that turns me into a living light.
