Legendary Trace

Helplessly calling
Helplessly falling
Falling into place
Running this race

Fall leaves on the ground
They make no single sound
I'm bound to see the other side
You're my one and only beautiful bride

Bite the bullet
Bite the bullet
See right through it
See right through the pain
I'm still waiting for His rain

Ease your mind
Seek peace and you'll find
Relief from on high
That's something I can't deny

Hold on to me...
Hold on to me...
Where shall I flee?

Don't worry - we'll get through this!
Don't doubt anymore - be full of gladness

Happiness is one teardrop away
I'm but a broken toy in broad daylight

Red, red roses bloom
In the frost of my gloom

I'm falling into pieces
Never once falling into place
I see the glorious sky
The time passes me by
I'm reaching out into empty space
I'm making a legendary trace

I'm bound to see the other side
My love, I close my eyes on this rowdy ride
Don't subside from my side
Embrace my solitude stride
Bravery boils in my blood
I sit back and solemnly nod

I'm so bound to make a legendary trace
With a thousand gallons of your grace...

I want to find a cure to your pain
The pain that has been driving you insane
Be careful not to offend anyone by any chance
There's mere encouragement in your life to enhance

I've got to get up and make a legendary trace
Even if it means showing you in your face
I've been receiving gratification towards you
Take a step back and realize what I've gone through

You're not a failure
You're a winner deep inside
You're not a bad person
Just swallow your pride!

I want to find a trace of a cure to your lost soul
I need to be more considerate as a whole
I believe in you, so be brave and live life to the fullest
You haven't a clue how muc you're looking your best

While I project feelings of grief
Give me your radiant relief
Listen to the voice,
Echoing whispers of lovely desire
Listen to your mind,
Burning bright like a marvelous wildfire

I want to endure the tribulation of life's strife
I will bring forth a cure to this dilemma and its aftermath
Leave the past behind us and we'll survive this hard life
You and I will find God's legendary trace by entering His path

I've spoke my mind to you
I've longed for your legendary trace
Forgive my downfalls like you do
I've often prayed for your nirvana grace

Happiness and Joy

Never will another season bring so much joy
A feeling of love, togetherness and happiness
Ring out them festal bells and let’s be jolly
A savior was born, condescended, we are happy
We go to church, offer praise most joyful
Screams of delight, Children playing happily

Lovers holding hands gazing happily
At the beautiful sites, mountain's peaks, rivers of joy
Birds singing sweetly in the air, their songs so melodious and joyful
Every home, through their windows flowing sounds of rapture and happiness
The drunk on the street had one wish to make him happy
Give me some rum, he said, that will make me good and jolly

I played this song last night and it is so fitting, for the topic says Joyful, Joyful
It’s the season of good cheer, a time to give, to dance, to eat and be jolly
Only you can determine your level of happiness
To give of your means it is easy, but to give of yourself many cannot do this happily
Give without grudge, with no intention to receive, that's how giving becomes a joy
To exercise these gems will cleanse the soul; give warm feelings, make us happy

Laughter in the trees, laughter in the breeze, season of laughter, everyone is happy
Gift for baby, gift for mommy, gift for daddy, even the cats and dogs had to be joyful
What the world craves, so elusive for some, thank God in His love, we find great joy
Come one come all let’s jump on the bandwaggon, riding the coach called Super Jolly
The invitation is out, don’t settle in doubt, cast off your cares, ride with us, happily
Great people great love, warmth, sharing caring, all things good gives you happiness

Take friends, co-workers and fellow poets, toss in this great soup pot of happiness
Recycle love, make this world wonderful, song writer says, ‘don’t worry, be happy’
The world needs people who are positive, will see the best in others happily
A smile, a word of cheer, a few words of encouragement, make another’s day joyful
‘Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way’, what good is that if we are not jolly
The Lord has come, so unto this world be peace, love, and most important of all, joy

There is truth and beauty in the person with happiness, looking radiant and joyful
I would give my money just to be happy, to see my loved ones and friends real jolly
Luxury of life I would trade off hapilly, to have the thing the world craves for, joy

Ms. Jenny

chester sat in the second row
every day at his school
no one asked, no one knows
but yet the kids were cruel
Ms. Jenny had a simple task
to teach by the book
but chester never seem to pass
so she took a deeper look
his momma died with little sign
he only had rags to wear
for daddy worked at the five and dime
with no money left to spare

at christmas in the classroom
what pretty gifts they gave her
chester found his mom's perfume
and wrapped it in toilet paper
the bottle wasn't full its true
her heart just couldn't believe
but chester smiled, because he knew
it was the best Ms. Jenny recieved
days went by and Ms. Jenny tried
to come up with a clue
and many nights she sat and cried
she knew what she had to do

after school she took the time
to teach him life is tough
that he could be God's best design
if he applied himself enough
years went by and things got better
than they ever were before
Ms. Jenny found a special note
slipped under her classroom door
"thank you for the faith you gave
when my life was dark and sad
I told my mother at her grave
your the best teacher i ever had"

As the tears streamed down her face
Ms. Jenny already knew
that showing love could not replace
what the books in school teach you
years went by and things still better
than they ever were before
Ms. Jenny found another note
slipped under her classroom door
"I'm getting married to this girl, you see
somehow I know you'd care
please come and sit where my mother can't be
I know she'd want you there"

The day arrived, the crowd was set
as chester paced the floor
and then a sight he'll never forget
when Ms. Jenny walked through the door
her simple smell filled the room
a fragrance like no other
chester was the proudest groom
to see his "stand in" mother
it was never easy to understand
the steps we all should trace
but Ms. Jenny knew this young man
had finally found his place

so much time she gave in tears
encouragement that made him strong
but time is limited on earth by years
and now Ms. Jenny is gone
before they closed the casket he cried
then on the pillow by her head
one final note he left inside
and this is what it said
"God sent you here to rescue me
from a life that was doomed and sad
and though I'll miss you terribly
you were the best teacher I ever had".

God painted this portrait of emerald and crimson
Soothing my soul with the brilliant and vivid
Colors of miracles caressing my heart and spirit
Breathing out whispers of sentiments that touch me
With a sense of faith in all that gives hope in this world

God graced the misty mountain morning with a touch
Of joy and inspiration that comes from discovering
Peace that knows no worry or anxiety, but fulfills dreams
With the tender embrace of rainfall that brings with it
Dancing lights of star and moon, insights into satisfaction

God welcomed these jubilant flowers that touch thoughts
With charming desires for tomorrow’s creativity and vision
Moments of encouragement colored in hues of acceptance
Prayers that come alive with amazing intuitions combining
To produce heavenly aromas of kindness felt in this place

God breathed the sparkles into the stars and light into sunshine
Flavored the gardens with delicate hands to harvest all the gifts
From this rich and raw soil which knows nothing of depression
But feels alive with all of nature’s senses and direction, the course
Toward sweet talents sent down from heaven to bless us

God’s garden was Eden, free from evil and even the least sin
Even now, on this earth, there is the feeling of purity and hope
Discovered in the tiny seeds that are planted and nourished
Bringing sprouts of loving plants which fill hearts with serenity
Tranquility that leads hearts to believe in God’s forever, eternity!

God blessed me with a garden and I feel sure He has, ever so gently,
Touched my heart with a piece of true fertility only found within
The one who believes in the Son who found Himself in the garden
Of Gethsemane, awaiting the moment when we would be spared
From the death that only He would need to experience to free us all

God gave us more than a garden when He spared us our own Gethsemane
He gave each one of us a gift of pure, phenomenal love without conditions
A love that would be the answer to every prayer, every mystery,
Love that arises when we discover the answers can only be found
In the spiritual intimacy attained with a relationship bought and paid for by Him,

Our personal Savior… The giver of all the flowers, gardens and vivid portraits
Of nature!

Why Do I Write

Why Do I Write?

I was born in an era when Shakespeare, Shelley and Wordsworth were kings. Reading them was like hearing beautiful music and after all these years…it still is. Then I fell in love with Emily Dickenson and the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam…what wonderful words of wisdom they imparted!

I write because it allows me to express myself…my thoughts, my compassion, my soul… much as my singing has done all my life. Now that that part of my life is waning, I can still be a “diva” in my own eyes! lol

I write, because my heart tells me to in the wee hours of the morning when sleep eludes me. I write because these thoughts and words which are choking me...screaming to be free...must be released.

I write for those who mourn, or who suffer illness, to console them and say I understand. I write for the lonely, for those who have no hope. whose stories tug at my heart. Since I can't hold them close to me, I try through my poems to convince them there is hope and tomorrow will be better.

I write to be heard...to show I am still relevant and have viable thoughts and opinions to share with the world. Experience is still the best teacher. I write to protest injustice wherever I find it. To be silent would be cowardly.

I write humorously about inconsequential, everyday situations, to bring a laugh or two into our lives. I wrote my memoirs for my grandchild, to preserve the past for future generations. I wrote poetry to release grief and sorrow when death came to call, to help me find peace and acceptance.

I write my religious poetry…not to flaunt my religion…but to praise God and thank him for his sacrifice for me and for the peace his presence brings to me.
I also ask his blessings for my friends and loved ones and for the heavy in heart, so that they might find peace and deliverance from the evils of this world.

I do not expect my work to be published…I have no illusions about my talent…I write for everyman, most of whom would shy away from the literary world and consider it elitist in the extreme, but when tragedy befalls them, they take comfort in simple words of encouragement and consolation.

But most of all, I write for the sheer joy of it and because my soul requires it!

Still Spinning

I was sleeping and dreaming, silently screaming, while violently weeping And mildly feeling that I was honestly grieving I was quitely greeting my anxiety's breathing It was wildy eating at who I was... I could see through the mirrior he was frustrated Feeling devestated, felt isolated, feeled truly aggravated Did I mention the love and hatred upon his eyes Or even the soul teared through a genocide A gemini inside, but set aside he felt terrified But through the lies disguised in your mind He was ultimately petrified...It was you that was scarier then ever, even his barrier Now I'm flying high like a harrier, with you i'm more marrier Was it scary cause of your terror, or your character? See I truly miss you miss, you're a beautiful beautious Broken and brutal, but with you I see what beauty is I love it, cause you're so humorous, is it obvious? I'm operating this auto race Just for you, I'd be dominating...I'd be going pedal to the metal, just till it's settled I just want to win a medal, I'm feeling kind of dreadful I've even beaten my only devil, going crazy, am I mental? Nah, it's where I extract scratched tangets and you stare vast in past pamphlets And you have no answers for your last math's classes, within exams I see you vanishing You close your eyes and drift in planets'n'canvases, and you crash in crafted canyons That clash with granite and imagitive paniced bandits with a habit that granted An attached handprint that reflected my poetic languages They call us anguished animals, but I pass on my damages, on through these messages See I may look different with my clothes that are charred and almost carved off I'm scorching like dark hearts, and warped like barked bronze Can you see I was meant for journalling? I'll be discerning them, as they see me surfacing I'll just be surging in, and it's you that i'd prefer to bring even out of all these earth-a-lings I hope it's permenant, you showed me what my purpose is, I needed the encouragement It was a form of your subtle perfectness, is it courteous that you bring me nervousness? Right now, you got me prouder then, all my extended ends, it's pride from you that i'm conjuring in.... Your loves got me flying high in your turbulence, it's a superb inherent gift, I don't think I could picture it, It has me feeling one with the churches and all my burning urges end...

Premium Member Beautiful Words

Today we celebrate Noah Webster and his creation…the dictionary…without them you might say we’d be speechless…we’d have no vocabulary.

For how important are words once they form within our heads…with their ability to evoke emotions the moment they are said.

A word, itself, is not beautiful or ugly…complimentary or demeaning…it’s only in the context and the way we say it that gives a word it’s meaning.

Words when spoken from a place of love have a musical refrain…words when spoken from a place of hate are meant to damage and cause pain.

Some words make us feel good and bring with them happiness…let me name a few…there’s freedom, laughter, joy, peace, love, compassion and family too.

Some words when uttered leave fear and sorrow in their wake…like Alzheimer’s, Aids, war, death…tornado and earthquake.

I remember when a friend informed us her doctor wanted to see…if cancer was growing inside her…so she ordered a biopsy.

Biopsy…now there’s a word with the ability to fill ones heart with fear…as you anxiously and hopefully wait for the doctor to say the words you want to hear.

It’s interesting that as word spread of her biopsy that was planned….words of encouragement came rushing to her from all across the land.

Words of love…of compassion and support…words easy to comprehend…drifted softly…blended together and landed on our friend.

Our words were one way of showing her we were thinking of her…that we cared…one way to let her know her fear and apprehension was something we all shared.

And as we all awaited the results…hoping our world might realign…our apprehension turned to exhilaration when we heard the word…benign.

It is amazing how one day one word can cause so much woe..so much anguish and concern…and the next day another word replaces it allowing joy and happiness to return.

And so I wonder if Mr. Webster, the lexicographer, would agree…if we only used kind word from his dictionary…how happy we’d all be.

How words of kindness and love are an investment used to gather friends…and one day, when we need it…those words pay dividends.

For when I think of our friend’s frightening experience…it is the words of her friends I recall….leaving me to wonder if words of love…of support…of kindness…of compassion and of friendship…aren’t the most beautiful words of all.

Christmas In Covid Times

Midst efforts to resolve a viral pandemic
Causing global illness and death epidemic
As we process the merits of our heartfelt fears
Mixed with worry, doubt, dread, anger, and sometimes tears
Let’s not forget about the virgin who conceived
A child sent from God, so our sins could be relieved.

As we shelter in our places of seclusion
Where once welcomed visits are now an intrusion
As we inhale and exhale covered by our mask
While simple routines are now a cumbersome task
Let’s recall that to the virgin a child was born
Who would bring hope, joy, and peace to a world forlorn

When six feet apart striving for social distance
Has become the new normal of our existence
When our multiple efforts of sanitation
Instigates within us constant aggravation
Visit the manger, see Joseph and his betrothed
Gaze upon the child who in swaddling rags was clothed

When the news of more COVID cases scours the land
When the ones who govern hand down a new demand
When after each encounter we wash our hands clean
As we hope and pray each day for a new vaccine
Listen to the voices of the angelic throng
Announcing the Messiah’s presence in their song

As new stipulations create family strain
And events occur causing economic pain
When we come in close contact with those infected
Then obey rules of quarantine as directed
Let’s treasure the glorious news of a savior
Who came to remedy our sinful behavior

When we grieve a cherished friend or loved one who dies
And we can’t properly gather to say goodbyes
When we want to weep and give each other a hug
But we are restricted to a stare and a shrug
Let’s join the angels in praising the Prince of Peace
For in His grace and mercy we will find release

When each retail store bears the sign “masks are required”
And every adventure makes us tense and tired
When we learn that someone had a positive test
And we retreat to our homes for much needed rest
Let’s treasure Jesus, ponder His truth in our heart
With fresh faith in Him tomorrow a new day start

Midst our expressed concerns about the world’s future
Worrying that the wounds are too deep to suture
When mental anguish and fear are out of control
When encouraging words lack power to console
Recall that our purpose is to give Christ glory
And our mission is to propagate His story

Premium Member Lord God, You Are My Spiritual Thirst's Divine Quencher

October 6 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on John 7-8

Key Verse – John 7:37-38 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY THIRST’S DIVINE QUENCHER

Lord God, You are my spiritual thirst’s divine Quencher
by Your awesome miracle
Thank You for Your grace, saving my soul and shielding my earthly tabernacle
Help me do Your assigned task as a willing receptacle
For my work’s performance by Your powerful spectacle.

Lord God, You are my spiritual thirst’s divine Quencher
by Your lawful truthfulness
Thank You for Your mercy midst Your judgment and righteousness
Help me learn from Your lessons of justice as well as fairness
For my wisdom’s function according to Your Scripture’s steadfastness.

Lord God, You are my spiritual thirst’s divine Quencher
by Your Holy Ghost’s satisfaction
Thank You for Your answers to my question, pacifying my confusion
Help me apply Your precepts along Your instruction
For my faith’s strength toward spiritual progression.

Lord God, You are my spiritual thirst’s divine Quencher
by Your Bible teaching
Thank You for Your commandments exhorted during preaching
Help me exalt Your name in my service of soul-outreaching
For my kindness’ record of goodness-stretching.

Lord God, You are my spiritual thirst’s divine Quencher
by Your eternal treasury
Thank You for Your compassion expressed by Your wondrous Gospel story
Help me continue in Your ministry, subduing worry through Your victory
For my freedom’s joy in living for Your honour and glory.

Lord God, You are my spiritual thirst’s divine Quencher
by Your deeds of loving
Thank You for Your assurance as my anchor for believing
Help me speak of Your promises I’m convinced of receiving
For my testimony’s confidence against errors destructively deceiving.

Lord God, You are my spiritual thirst’s divine Quencher
by Your prophecy-fulfillment
Thank You for Your covenant revealed in Your testament
Help me rejoice in Your statutes of faithful agreement
For my revival’s inspiration as I abide in Your encouragement.
