School, something I kill myself even more for.
Staying up late hoping to get all A's.
Who knew a letter from the alphabet could signify a person's worth.
The weekends go by fast,
Finally sleeping because I didn't get the chance,
Finally breathing because I couldn't catch my breath.
I used to love school.
I loved the words of affirmation and encouragement.
Now that I'm older I don't get that anymore.
Wallowing in my tears,
Hoping no one hears.
If only they knew,
If only they knew,
That's really the only thing circling through.
But I must keep going,
To satisfy them all,
I'll keep going I Guess.
Maybe one day my blood with show through.
January 1 Scripture Meditations Based on Genesis 1-3
Key Verse - Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR BEING MY BEGINNING
You created me wonderfully
You formed me marvelously
You shaped me amazingly
You filled me against my void, sufficing me abundantly…
I surely thank You wholeheartedly.
You are my light
You are my watcher at night
You are my day starter right
You are my firmament-guard so bright…
I really thank You with faith’s might.
You greet me every morning
You protect me in between lunch and evening
You secure me in my sleep’s dreaming and groaning
You keep me in Your goodness of feasting and dining…
I joyously thank You for Your constant intervening.
You made me in Your image and after Your likeness
You let me have dominion over Your creatures by Your greatness
You blessed me toward multiplying fruitfulness
You subdue my pride through Your replenishing gentleness…
I truly thank You for Your graciousness.
You give me product-yielding capacity
You bestow me with work-diligence ability
You sanctify me to labour in Your field of spirituality
You comfort me in Your rest as I cleave to Your presence-serenity…
I earnestly thank You along Your gifts’ bounty.
You defend me from the subtle serpent’s deception
You encompass me with Your assurance-sanction
You pull me against curses’ destruction
You drive me toward Your protection from enmity’s sorrow-infliction affliction…
I verily thank You, praising You for my soul’s eternal salvation.
You rule over me with Your commandment
You prop me from sin-caused miseries by Your encouragement
You love me, calling me with Your life-commitment
You place me in Your heart of genuine contentment…
I triumphantly thank You and Your sovereign control every moment.

(Waterfall mountain means huge amounts of emotions in a mighty deep poem)
Oh no...
Those harmful hormones
You know...
I am a trash bag of bones
I will love you
Till the end of tickin time
Our time so true
Is kinda oh so sublime
Cheek to cheek, we are dancing on fleek
I am the nerd geek, seeking fame and fortune on the peak
Screaming aloud in joy
I have been a beaten-up toy
Say after me - you will be happy
Positivity, like a door, requires a key
Our hopes melt like ice-cubes is the sun
Our anxieties weigh a couple of tons
Cleaning up the remains of our past mess
Feeling empty due to the lack of happiness
I want to let go of my distress
But, how, when I am not making any progress?
I lost my mind of being left behind...
There's no words that I can find
On your tongue that are of encouragement...
All you do is bring us down in discouragement
My life has no significance to you at all
I'm left to be an unanswered call
I see you in agony and it gets me feeling it too
Dampened by darkness and distress...isolated in my own home, if only you knew
This is what I feel...not of your concerning appeal -
Empty, lost and alone in a mess that I don't take part in through thick and thin
Yes, what I feel is a big deal...a truth I can't conceal
Envy, lazy and unmotivated has shaped me into this remorseful monster from within
I must move on from this spot where I rot
Moving forward will be hard...no one ever said it was easy in the first place
I catch a glimpse of you, running a sweat...climbing up the mountain of your waterfall tears and childish fears that you've bottled up inside - you're facing them in a fearless way that's motivating you to run the extra mile...as if you built up the strength for this challenging moment in time...all for the prize of vast grace
Our pathways haven't met...our personal confrontations are almost fought, but I see we are both downtraught and fatigued due to the worrying and doubt that is wasting away our valuable time that was supposed to be spent together...apparently, we are sidetracked by doubt and disarray - all for naught? Give it all you got
Poetrysoup, to me is just like a joint family.
How by a common bond, here we are strung together!
Though sailing in different currents and anchored in remote ports,
Distance among us has never been a hitch or a tether.
Here we enjoy a warm and genial camaraderie.
Often I feel my credit far exceeds my debit,
And am weighed down by a heavy sense of debt.
I wonder if I will ever be able to repay a small bit.
Before I am stamped an insolvent the rest of my life,
Let me strive to do some little good while I can.
Like a melting candle, let me bring some glow,
Before I grow weary and time runs out of my span.
Sometimes I feel I am an insidious bed bug,
Growing bigger and fatter on others' blood.
Here when I registered as an artless novice,
I was as inane and inexperienced as a kid.
As a kite with a piece of broken string,
I floated up hither and thither in the skies in vain.
You gave me direction, guidance and support.
I owe to each one of you for all that I could attain.
Your relentless encouragement helps me aim for heights,
Your heartfelt blessings give me loads of happiness.
Your poems open before me new avenues of thought.
Your gracious company creates for me a new ambience.
Before my eyes, a hundred smiling faces appear in a row.
Some stand out as beacons of radiant light.
With words of encouragement, they vanquish all my doubts,
Revitalizing my lackluster spirit and leaving it shimmering bright.
Through this forum, we share our inmost thoughts,
How close we feel though never been together.
Many have left the scene leaving trails of footprints,
And many join fresh to continue the endeavor.
Irrespective of creed, we are here at art’s sacred shrine.
‘Soupers’ we are called and we breathe the scented pride.
We stand tall among many others of our species.
Let us proclaim aloud our fraternity worldwide!
In the shadows, beneath the darkness
Hides a whisper of silent heartbreak
Reflecting mourning that rises within
Where there is little more than a breath
Of melancholy that persuades my spirit
To listen to the music echoing inside
As I dance to the colors of God’s verses
Ending the pain, the sorrow and grief
The longing for a moment of reprieve
In the silhouette of a happy hope
Lingers a feeling of joy so tantalizing
It mirrors the grace found in the soul
Who knows that their worth is realized
In their relationship with God above
The One who gives the answer to all
The prayers they have spoken to Him
With the assurance that He will bring
Answers that color the heart in relief
In the hues of sapphire faith and grace
There lives a million moments of longing
For the chance to reach out to someone
With inspiration, encouragement, assurance
That the light of love lingers on in the one
Who listens to the scripture’s blessings
And smiles with a hint of peace and fulfillment
Found inside the heart and soul of those
Who know God is always in control of it all
In the light, beneath the glowing insight
Shrouds a sense of reassurance that comes
From knowing that there is wisdom and strength
In the kindness that God gives His children
There is sincerity and warmth within the one
Who carries the Word to those who need to know
God is alive… He thrives and survives
Every loss, each problem, every difficulty
He lives to give His children the gift of true love
A clever young squirrel
named Sammy was bold,
Until a sharp frost made the
branches turn cold.
He stood on an oak tree and
looked at a pine,
But lost all his courage and
started to whine.
"I've forgotten the trick!"
Sammy cried to a bird,
"My paws are too heavy, my
vision is blurred!"
A blue jay flew down with a
twitch of her wing,
"Just focus your eyes and
remember the spring!"
The chipmunks all gathered
to watch from below,
They shouted
encouragement down in the
snow.
"You've done it a thousand
times, Sammy, just try,
You don't need real wings to
feel you can fly!"
He wiggled his whiskers and
lined up his feet,
And pushed off the bark with
a rhythmic beat.
He sailed through the air like
a furry brown airplane,
And landed safely in the pine
tree again.
The crowd cheered so loudly
the forest did shake,
And Sammy celebrated with
an acorn cake.
He learned that whenever
you face a big fear,
Just trust in yourself and
your friends cheering for you.
Discipleship is giving unconditionally
Expecting no acknowledgement or thank you,
Hoping the person or people will understand Jesus' light.
Discipleship is listening without criticism
Not suggesting, not commanding,
Learning and sending light like the Holy Spirit does.
Discipleship is introducing rather than leading
Discipleship is inviting rather than demanding
Discipleship is allowing people to make up their own minds
Discipleship is encouragement.
Discipleship is helping, nurturing, loving.
Discipleship is not being bossy or demanding in any way.
Those who come to Godliness in their own time
In their own way bring the most to the table.
For they have been in other places, and can
teach by example as you have.
Today was so very brutal.
I felt my strength worked to the bone.
My family doesn’t seem to care.
At times, I feel so alone.
All the thoughts of would’ve, could’ve, should’ve come rushing to my mind.
There are many peaks and valleys, as I keep moving through my life.
The devil has always been right there, to discouraged and accuse.
But sometimes I feel he doesn’t need much help as others seem to fit the bill.
What now, I can’t go back.
What now, the future seems unclear.
Then my God gently reminds me, my child, you don’t belong here!
Your home will be in heaven, and my Son will take you there someday!
You gave your life to Jesus, and He will help you along the way.
You don’t need to worry, He’ll be with you in each moment of time.
They’ll never understand you, my child, because many did not understand me.
Just put your hand in your Savior’s hand and He’ll clear the path, you’ll see!
I'm a big star and I'm burning bright, that was the first encouragement from someone on poetry soup who needs to remain nameless less his celebrity status leaks out because he's encouraging a poor broken artist like me because he used to be in that place, and I just came across this song in my records reminding me of the places I've been, the places I am in now, and the places I need to be in my future endeavors. Being unchained and free to creative your own reality, now that's really an artists living and breathing not the livelihood of spending money on excessive things. Writing your times and your minds finds in emotional turmoil is better than Prozac or Abilify or Oxicodone or whatever they push on people to numb them from the reality of the creative imagination in being real. Thanks again and in listening to BEAUTIFUL BROKEN. the song by HEART, in my tribute to your encouragement.
We all have the ability to love
It's about helping,
be comforting,
encouragement,
give warmth
and care
or just be there
Always have a loving attitude
to life and to everything that is created
Love is to be a fellow human being
Those who stand on love's side
I want to mention :
