It occurs to me
I could have gone the other way
in the last 10 years of my life.
I could have kept part of what was old,
broken only piece of it,
introduced a new fragment to fill in.
So I would have a new
and old life patched together.
I might have enjoyed the seams
that would quickly fill with
experiential plastic, transparent glue time
where I would do things
out of time, respite.
I would be sitting and
traveling perhaps.
The real life segments would
soon develop boundaries,
memory would seal them from each other.
I could even take on different names
and make up different histories
which my memory would
embalm in plastic membranes.
Mind moves matter in all affairs;
Urge sows the seed as truth declares;
Time now scatters on spiral stairs;
Embalm each need with feel and fare.
Ask to do good in your journey;
Teach by your deeds true love that heals;
Trust sacred mood to meet tally;
Respond to needs that primes sure feel;
Appease the fire that burns most deep;
Choose to be plain in word and tact;
Thought charms a sire that never sleeps;
Inflame the grain with heart and act;
One way to see beyond all things;
Note fine beauty that ever springs.

(Note: This poem is an Acrostic Sonnet.)
Crystal waters plumping the honeydews
and cascading through amusement park ride.
As tourists engage in espionage
in Duckburg at Knottsbury farms.
As graves of self sufficiency,
Communes of bagged embalm.
"Do What Thou Wilt","Do No Harm".
Spirit cooking, charms I"m sure.
Missing and exploited children bearing no arms.
Foreigners get precedence over
the Citizenry collage for the sake
of stirring the melting plot.
The coffers brim
and Scrooge McF swims past inflation,
reaps the rewards of child labor
at camp Whinnie the Pooh with pedophiles and containment lasers,
adds a zero and then again, while CBDC
cabalist coup hides the genesis
of their new technology,
obfuscates the code in block-chain,
snart contract chaser-
in lock-step
and unlocked surveillance,
laser focused,
poker face,
tazered for inconclusive shadow, ban.
As we sell our Sons and Daughters
to a not so brave New World.
Sold at half price for reverse mortgage
and a haptic iPhone holographic massage.
OnlyFans and Tic Tok trends.
Where does it end?
Where the SoyLent is green.
Where the Red Firm Grows.
When Mary was told she would birth a son,
The angel Gabriel’s message left her stunned.
A much-favored virgin indeed was she
For the savior of the world, he would be.
The wise men who came from a country far
Were led to his home by a lone bright star.
The gifts which they brought are worthy of note
It seems they had read what the prophets wrote.
The gold they gave meant the child was the king
before whom the angels in heaven sing.
To save us, he became man and was born,
The babe of Bethlehem on Christmas morn.
Frankincense acknowledged him as a priest
who humbled himself and became the least.
The myrrh which was used to embalm the dead
Foreshadowed his sacrifice in man’s stead.
From a humble birth to a cruel cross
It sure appeared that his life was a loss.
But coming forth after death laid him down
Christ triumphed and in heaven, wears a crown.
“Darkness does embalm;
All things, getting calm,
Produce an eerie feeling;
Can it serve with a healing?”
“Aye, aye, sure, sure!
Such feelings do us lure,
To approach its end.”
“Can we reach, my friend?
The tunnel’s too long;
With the bats’ screeching song,
It does sound so strange.”
“We can’t fathom its range.
The tunnel’s so profound
With the sorrowing sound
Of a wailing woman at a distance;
Hush! You can’t at her glance.”
“Is she visible? Is she?”
“Take some time for her to see.
You’ll know everything;
Hence, you have to cling.”
“Such a sooty place!”
“Don’t disgrace, pal, don’t disgrace.”
“Where is she now?”
“You’ll know the knowhow.”
“I sneeze and cough, sneeze and cough.
Whoa! Was that not a female laugh?”
“Yes, it is! Yes, it is!
Here you’ll find eternal bliss.”
“Eternal bliss? What does it mean?
You were supposed to guide me clean.”
"Of course, I do. Oh! Sure!
Let’s see how much you can endure."
"Then why such things, my friend?"
“Don’t you expect to behold the end?”
“Wait! Stop! Who are you?”
“I’m likewise as you view.
Here is your healing, here!
My service to you is so sheer!
Here you’ll find divine bliss!
Ha! Now behold your Mephistopheles.”
On the Continents of Earth
Awesome sights are for view
Fashioned for years
Astound me and you
Himalayan pillars dominate the skyline
The Andes of Chile, fall into line
The Rockies so apt, craggy and peaked
Mont Blanc so majestic, virgin snow steeped
Ayers Rock so purple and tribal
They are testament to Earths survival
What she shows high, she also keeps deep
Mariana Trench where Continents meet
The Grand Canyon, Colorado's walls
The delightful cascade of Angel Falls
The plains of Africa, so vast and green
Where marvellous herds are there to be seen
These most grandiose of lands, as if they float on oceans of blue
Solid and rigid, with emotions like me and you
Weather cycles, show anger and calm
And our Ozone layer, their to embalm
Every morning, we open our eyes to observe
Just a thought, it's not just Humans we serve.
When Death comes knocking at the door,
And as the last petal finally falls,
My voice will be stilled.
My heart, now ticking off like a clock,
Will ever be silent.
My footfalls shall no more be heard
All my songs will be stifled in the throat
All my crazy thoughts will be frozen,
And I shall take leave of all
And the whole lot of petty things I hold dear.
But what difference does it make?
The earth will continue to spin as before.
Stars will illumine the night sky.
Days will follow days in endless succession.
Time, chanting refrains of joy and sorrow,
On wings, shall fly to destinations unknown.
Will there be anyone to grieve my absence?
Will my loved ones still hold me close to their hearts?
May be for a while
A short little while.
But as years glide,
And my tomb lies overgrown with weeds
And the engraving on my head stone
Fades out into morbid grime and moss,
When I merge with the dust as dust,
When I lie inert, a rattling heap of bones under the sod,
When my spirit still hovers around in vain
With insatiable longing for all your love,
Then give me, my Lord! A ride in your chariot!
Remove from my spirit the languor of endless waiting!
Carry me to Thy bosom!
Embalm me with Thy love,
That I shall no more crave for earthly love
And with you in bliss, ever united,
Look down evermore content-
As the wheels roll down to Eternity!
When Neptune's
nostalgic sighs,
weave ruffled rosaries
of brocade ink,
bleeding from
blackberry wrinkles
in torrential time,
I wonder if
herculean eyes
of my earthen heart,
are afraid of being
abandoned by the
electric rhapsody
of life's alienated
aroma.
Swinging on the
translucent
parabola of a
frozen rainbow,
my fate is
skewed as a
cantaloupe
silhouette, of
helix-shaped
maple pamphlets,
where, bluebirds
feast on decaying
seeds of love
and sing
hemlock-croons
in those magnolia
gardens.
But,
what if stars
were edible and
I devoured their
ivory scintilla,
submerging
cosmic potions
in my arteries,
iridescent with
clusters of
quasar's quivering
rays and pulsar's
pistachio glitter?
So now,
I collect
volcanic ash
from rust-orange
ruins of dahlia's
dreamscape
and embalm
them with
paradise-pink hues
of distilled empathy,
for my swan-white
halo of faithful
silence, is still
glowing with
sombre yet
glossy shine
of the linen sun
and I inhale
the fragrance of
my marshmallow moon.
You have captured my heart with your love, with your promises, with your deeds. I
have surrendered to charm and embalm in your principles. You have made me glow
brighter than a summer sun thus making me warm from the rays of your
compassion, and you have intoxicated me with your sweet words. I am now captive
in your laws, and I shall remain a prisoner. You have comfort me in distress, and
make my heart rejoice when I am in sorrow. How could I give you up when you have
satisfied my needs. You never force me to love you nor serve you. You have only
shown me the way. How could I leave such security for empty promises when you
have proven you loyalty by remaining by my side; you have demonstrated your love
by making me, and you have promised me a paradise for my home. How could I give
my heart to someone else when it has already have been given to you, my sweet
love Jehovah.
