Saw animals in jungle dump garbage in water
and drink the same
Wolf was drinking and smoking
while giving a lecture on healthy habits
A monkey was guarding a fruit tree
claiming it to be his
Another monkey said give me some fruits,
you can't eat all they will rot, he refused
Animals wore a bra to cover their breast
All animals wore underwear below dress
Birds wore skirts below wings
They mated behind a bush
Lion, the king of jungle made a rule
An animal can kill only one in a day to feed self
But he was allowed unlimited killing,
Infact he killed ten, threw nine ate one
Elephant was uprooting trees
Birds with nests were screaming
He paid no heed to them
King wanted roads
Parrot was writing a poem
Trying to avoid clitches
How do I describe tears?
All forms of water including raindrops
had been already used.
He had to be different to win!
Jungle looked like towns
Animals were behaving like humans
It seemed God had made them
mentally akin to humans.

Within the confines of my nearest Zoo,
There’s a place that’s off limits – it’s not for you.
It’s where the animals go for therapy,
As animals have issues just like you and me.
It’s here where all the animals can go and chat,
To the zoo’s therapist, Beatrice Bat.
Beatrice will listen whilst upside down,
As animals express themselves with furrowed frown.
The first patient that’s in to see Beatrice today,
Is Harry the horse who has an allergy to hay.
Beatrice listens to Harry, and then she thinks,
“Take hay fever tablets Harry – take with your drinks”.
Next in its Eddie Elephant, addicted to booze; he’ll use his trunk,
To swig down gin and tonic until he is drunk.
“For a small subscription fee that this clinic will pay,
I’m sending you to Animal Alcoholics Anonymous – the AAA”.
Beatrice shouts “Next”, and in comes Gary giraffe,
“I’m scared of heights” – “Scared of heights? You’re having a laugh”.
Beatrice uses hypnosis to alleviate his frights,
Of living his life being so scared of heights.
Belle the baboon is next looking rather glum,
She’s getting bullied for having a hairy bum.
“In order to get the other baboons to behave,
Belle, all you must do is give your bum a shave”.
Last to see Beatrice today, is Suzy Sheep,
An insomniac who cannot go to sleep.
“Count your flock Suzy, count them one by one,
And in the land of nod, you’ll soon be gone”.
Beatrice is happy, for her days work is done,
She finds helping her patients rewarding and fun.
Alas, poor Beatrice has no-one to tell when she has her own need,
Being upside down, it’s not nice for Beatrice when she has a nosebleed.
Hope keeps us alive, comrades, We shouldn't lose it even on our death beds, People in rural villages tell a little story, even the reeds floating on the river, will give him a hope to survive, For mankind hope is not just a word of wise, It is an essential expectation as well, Every one should keep hope in mind, kalpana chawla was able to fly into space, only because of her unwavering hope, Hillary's hope took him to the top of Mt.Everest, If you have hope in your heart, you can achieve anything easily, A human needs hope just as an elephant, which needs a strong trunk, Even animals with five senses have hope, The man with the sixth sense, who should have more hope, right?.
It started with a blank canvas,
the world I should make but I am anxious.
Making fields of pretty flowers,
to the deep blue seas takes many hours.
Mountains that can reach the clouds,
to sand covered lands with no crowds.
Now for animals as small as a mouse,
to ones as big as an elephant but not in the house.
Birds that can fly,
to fish who can swim under the blue sky.
Oh how I love them all,
creatures small and tall.
Guess I am ready for man,
it will take some thought is My plan.
My best of all my creations I am seeing,
for this is a human being.
Man has been born,
he needs a mate so blow a horn.
A loving women has been made,
she will come to his aid.
It started with a blank canvas,
is the garden of Eden really in Kansas?
I made it all for love and not for falsehood,
I wonder if people will become no-good.

mama put
is not easy
when we live below
a dollar per day like
they say
thank God for
our mothers
thank God
for mama food
we don't know
what we would have
done without your help
in feeding us with our
low income
mama put is in every
Conner of every ghetto
very delicious African meal
downluted with a sachet pure water
oh mama put me some

was our chant with
an empty Tommy
about to swallow an
elephant size of fufu
mama put
i have been out from
the ghetto for so long
yet each time
am back home
i dance in the ghetto
i gave to the ghetto
i never forget my hood
so many born in the
ghetto are rich now
they have gotten
mansions on the uptown
is a shame to the hood
how suddenly they
forget their past
invest in the ghetto
gave to the ghetto
pay your title to the poor
they need you
they need us
i love the ghetto so
i never forget to
visit till date
my favourite delicious

My Grandma has a garden
In which she will spend hours
Watering and weeding
And tending to her flowers
Many types and species
At least that’s what she said
Grow and sprout and climb about
Her backyard flower bed
Hens and chicks and cat mint
Spread thick across the ground
Adjacent to the Lambs Ear
With Fox Glove all around
The Elephant Ears
provide some shade
but look a little silly
Next to the soaring Zebra grass
And orange Tiger Lilly
Snap Dragons guard the border
While Lion Tales seek the sun
The Dog tooth Violet droops a bit
And the Spider plant start to run
I know it is her garden
And there’s no need for alarm
But Grandma’s lovely garden
Sounds much more like a farm!
On lazy summer days, carefree,
I used to gaze at endless sky,
And guess the shapes of clouds go by,
Wondering who I'd want to be.
Eyes followed fast my fancy fate,
Before the clouds would dissipate.
An elephant stuck on a twig?
A monkey on a shopping spree?
A tiger swinging on a tree?
A hairless cat wearing a wig?
Or maybe if the cloud turned dark -
A wild wolf or a hungry shark?
I have grown up, so did the clouds -
Not always on their brightest side,
Not always my fate's trusted guide -
Showered over my sky with doubts.
As with my cherished long time friends
We moved along and made amends.
With every passing cloud I find -
Regardless of what shape or hue,
As shades of grey turn back to blue -
A silver lining's left behind.
Childhood clear clouds will always be
Part of my past and part of me.

I’m a poet, others more so as well,
The difference still need be brought home.
Fine, Ra and La do closely dwell,
Yet, karabh called, would kalabh come?

Note: In Sanskrit pronunciations and spellings are closely aligned. Now, the pronunciation of the consonants ra and la arise from a close by places in the mouth. Yet, the difference, how so small, is still there. Karabha means the young of camel, and lalabha, that of elephant. There are poets and poets, different are their poetic ways. How so small be the difference, it is still there. Transliteration of Sanskrit is as under:
Aham api pare api kavayah
Tathaa api param antaram pari-jnyeyam |
Aikyam ra-la yoh api yadi
Tat kim karabha aayate kalabhah ||Subhashhitam ||
Almonds encased in hard red candy
Brandy from snow white walnuts
Collateral damage to the left front bumper of the sled
Dietary restrictions on anything considered a spice
Everything more often wins the day
Francesca left her pie though (no one will eat that)
Gluwein, go get it, we need it now
Hysterical colors spin all around me
Illicit behavior may well be tolerated though only after 10pm
Jellybeans are being shoved into orifices now
Knives are being put away for the safety of everyone here (especially Dwayde)
Lathering up all the kid's faces now to resemble tiny maniac Santas
My mother is making tea
No one will drink
Octopussy is playing in the background
Phantasmagoria bread pudding
Quickly tell me who ate all the bread pudding
Round them up and shoot them
Seriously
The only thing I ever eat is the bread pudding and everyone knows it
Unusual cravings now
Vertical with help from the wall
Waiting for someone named Misty to return from her car with her white elephant
Xenon purple body
Yuletide clopping going on inside my head
Zesty reds streak across the insides of my eyelids
Pale white against the ghostly fog
Smoke curled for lack of oxygen
Black rim glasses hide, head bows
Conceal eyes of cool cat daddy-o
In dark, goatee, groomed and moody
Beret tilted silhouetted, covers identity
Captures blues wrapped in a sax
Brown paper bags cover booze
Jazz releases notes unknown to claps
Fingers snap approval to the poets silence
Something to be trusted no matter what
Underworld shadows gather dust
A secret spot built on a fog bank conjured up
On a dingy dream found five steps down
A hideaway ten degrees below zero and counting
Leading beyond all cafe dive boundaries
Cold nights survive on hanging tunes
College degrees wall to wall leave hollow marks
Jive time turkeys hold on to hot tea instead
Twilight characters friendly as death reset
Step down in reality to displease history
Bass man puffs his last cigarette
Joint smokers fill up the cavern
Underworld types gather with germs abounding
Fallen ash in trays lose attention
Coffee stains on tables remain
Stale as bread half consumed
Down and dirty with the blues
Tinted in a melancholy stench
Night life rises numb, basement ready
Dim lights permeate the senses
Lays waste to the alley cat man
Smoke rises in a trance to swoon
Turtle necks hold stiff men intact
A band doing hourly sessions Jam
Bass players hammer out shadows
Discord is all that matters
To mimic politics, smoke marijuana
The attraction of the day is on the menu
Curse words say it all
Snap and double snap poetry incognito
Verses flow like painted butter on walls
On melted atomic babies breath powdered bottom
For war, use the toilets next door on the right
Bullets are the flavor of the day
The favorite flavor after blanks
Matchstick men in bazooka suits flirt
The moon turns supersonic jello cool
Cool cats know squares from pigs
Cubes are abstractions of night sticks
Never mix with visions of gas lamps
It is a gas man, can you dig it
Elephant dancers run wild man
Suspicious of pigs who shoot first
Ask questions about bacon later
Snap daddy snap on beatnik back
