A question is asked
‘why meditate’
‘Is it really the in thing to do’
being stillness sedate
Rephrasing the query
‘how may we make joy eternal’
We define by pure intent
quest to reside in bliss tranquil
Accustomed to being a doer
believing we are body identity
We dwell in cyclic joy & sorrow
rotating not attention polarity
In other words we stagnate
in narrow domains of the ego
Our attention entrapped in illusion
attachments we are reluctant to forgo
With this understanding clear
we choose to internalise attention
Thoughts rested yet attentive
void of emptiness our orientation
Resting thus in silence & stillness
in an effortless attention shift
Fulcrum of awareness heart centric
we begin to feel we are not adrift
This inner polarity of our sentience
dormant for long now slowly awakens
Stillness softly aligns with conscience
when voluntarily ego by us is forsaken
Relegating role of body as an interface
for day to day earth life experience
Stillness our mode with God as mover
we feel magnetism as joy exuberance
Having but grazed the outer periphery
of our own divinity resident within
Divine connect becomes our priority
gripping us in thunderous bliss ignition
We may, if we like, label this as meditation

In the shadowed dawn of distant days,
Where echoes whispered of lost ways,
There stood a name, etched deep in lore,
Captain Miller, amidst the roar.
A soldier forged from fire and flame,
Bound to cause, beyond mere name,
With eyes that held grief and pride,
For lands and lives, for those who died.
Steel and sorrow marked his path,
Through broken fields, through aftermath.
A journey weighed with hope and cost,
In battles won, in voices lost.
But history paints with shades of gray,
Heroes, villains blurred by day.
To some, a fighter fierce and strong,
To some, echoes of what went wrong.
Yet beyond the banners, blood and strife,
Lies a tale of fleeting life.
Of choices made, of hearts grown still,
Of dreams that surged against the will.
So let the story rise and fall,
In silent woods, through every call.
For Vallipuram Vasanthan's name still remains,
A thread within war's vast domains.
It is said that the dance of soul all there is,
sustaining all ecstasies by image certainties.
Vapors from galaxies atmospheres for sure,
expressions of divinities by light of pure.
Souls changing bodies in time,
as animals, plants and crystals to refine.
The dance by rhythm of the divine beloved,
frequencies in gestalt gently gloved.
Manifestations through mysteries observed,
rising the surface of living light preserved.
The joy by tears in depth of life perfection,
to know the dance of soul protection.
Loving Spirit under all heavens remains,
unfolding natures bliss by heart domains.
The Sufis dance in spirals trance,
waves in the ocean of eternities romance.
Voyages from ports of spheres towards pearly stars,
genius talents follow those spiral memoirs.
Melodies from the wandering Moon, what are they?
enchanted dancing souls with no decay.

In realm of love, you are the awe of mystique~
Musings of smitten soul, passions bespeak,
When glances romantic lure enamored night
To dance of fantasies moonlit revelries ignite
Waltzing with stars scintillating opaline skies,
As smiles endearing emanate from your eyes
Beaming missives esoteric, vying to explore,
Secrets of heartbeats extolling echoes of yore,
Adulating present as tomorrow’s dream soar
To domains heavenly, croons of love implore,
Infatuated by aroma your redolent vibes impart,
Abloom in elixir of the rose inside my heart.

Dice, the goddess of morals, asked her mother, Themis
Why there's divorce, gambling, abortion, and alcoholism?
Why should dehumanization, like a Bloodstone, beamish?
Why should knives of nemesis nip the knots of neutralism?
Cores of conscience, like collapsed castles, Themis said, crash
The self within the inner sanctum, like sand grains, is split.
Joy, peace, harmony, happiness, and self-fulfillment clash
Empathy and sympathy submit to apathy's conflict.
Demons in humans delicately dominate their domains.
As though white sheep amongst black cattle, they cudgel their brains.
Their will to do good, like delinquent house dogs, is in chains.
Blood of cutthroat competitions, to win, flows in their veins.
Honesty should guide one and all, Themis said to Dice.
Summit of self-splendidness alone will never suffice.

The greatest threat to the world is climate change,
driven by human emissions and resulting in shifting weather;
the Earth's temperature is rising and little hope remains.
The Arctic permafrost, glaciers, and sea ice wanes,
and rising ocean levels will make for intense storms to gather;
the greatest threat to the world is climate change.
Hurricanes, typhoons, tidal waves will be stronger and strange,
monsoons, flooding, earthquakes, fires will be the worst ever;
the Earth's temperature is rising and little hope remains.
There will be loss of coral reefs and changes in mountain range,
impacts on ecosystems leading to animal extinct treasures;
the greatest threat to the world is climate change.
When I think about what is happening I am filled with rage,
those of us who care have to keep telling the world of the terror;
the Earth's temperature is rising and little hope remains.
There will be more volcanic activity and mud slides in many domains,
the ocean, ice and weather impacts may be gradual or rapid but forever;
the greatest threat to the world is climate change,
the Earth's temperature is rising and little hope remains !

Widsith the Far-Traveler, Part II
ancient Anglo-Saxon poem
loose translation/interpretation by Michael R. Burch
Hrothulf and Hrothgar, uncle and nephew,
for a long time kept a careful peace together
after they had driven away the Vikings' kinsmen,
vanquished Ingeld's spear-hordes,
and hewed down at Heorot the host of the Heathobards.
Thus I have traveled among many foreign lands,
crossing the earth's breadth,
experiencing both goodness and wickedness,
cut off from my kinsfolk, far from my family.
Thus I can speak and sing these tidings in the mead-halls,
of how how I was received by the most excellent kings.
Many were magnanimous to me!
I was among the Huns and the glorious Ostrogoths,
among the Swedes, the Geats, and the South-Danes,
among the Vandals, the Wærnas, and the Vikings,
among the Gefthas, the Wends, and the Gefflas,
among the Angles, the Swabians, and the Ænenas,
among the Saxons, the Secgan, and the Swordsmen,
among the Hronas, the Danes, and the Heathoreams,
among the Thuringians and the Throndheims,
also among the Burgundians, where I received an arm-ring;
Guthhere gave me a gleaming gem in return for my song.
He was no gem-hoarding king, slow to give!
I was among the Franks, the Frisians, and the Frumtings,
among the Rugas, the Glomms, and the Romans.
I was likewise in Italy with Ælfwine,
who had, as I'd heard, commendable hands,
fast to reward fame-winning deeds,
a generous sharer of rings and torques,
the noble son of Eadwine.
I was among the Saracens and also the Serings,
among the Greeks, the Finns, and also with Caesar,
the ruler of wine-rich cities and formidable fortresses,
of riches and rings and Roman domains.
He also controlled the kingdom of Wales.
I was among the Scots, the Picts and the Scrid-Finns,
among the Leons and Bretons and Lombards,
among the heathens and heroes and Huns,
among the Israelites and Assyrians,
among the Hebrews and Jews and Egyptians,
among the Medes and Persians and Myrgings,
and with the Mofdings against the Myrgings,
among the Amothings and the East-Thuringians,
among the Eolas, the Ista and the Idumings.

I hold three magic rocks, in my hand
Rolling them over and over and over
Leaving this reality behind, far behind
Allowing the currents to carry me
To domains beyond reach of ego-mind
The first rock takes me to an astral realm
It has heaven and hell and all in between
Cause and effect here is borne by desire
Wondrous as it is, I choose cessation
To reclaim within heart, God’s eternal fire
The second rock reveals the noumena
A singularity positioned outside space-time
Dwelling in peace, I feel therein complete
Yet awareness bereft of love is barren
So I roll the third stone towards God’s feet
Both duality and singularity disappear
I see God’s heart, a globe of golden light
Suffused with love, our hearts become one
Whence returning to form, I finally understand
As God’s child, we are love and light of the sun
