History back
High Noon
West and Southwest
Rough riding Cowboys
Stagecoach arrivals and departures
When the West was won
Rough riding Cowboy conflict
A Sheriff who wouldn’t back off nor quit
Straight out of Dodge City
Town’s people full of pity
Westerners had to be witty
Gun shoot outs
Sunrise to Sunset
Courage to stand
Not giving in to rough riding Cowboys demand
Beware and alert
A town on notice
No one knows what can happen in a western city
Dead or Alive documentation
High Noon call
Go west or get out of town
Standing the ground
Being dead found
Straight out
Dodge City center
Forbidden enter.

Premium Member read a book once

Read a book once
Folded the corners
To mark my progress.
It was sort of a
Wagon train read
Long, torturous,
A seemingly endless quest
For an unknown destination
Pictured only in the minds
Of others
Who
Sadly
Were only aggrandizing
What they were told.
The book I read
Had been chosen for me
By a deranged
English teacher/football coach
Before the era of the
Concussion Protocol.

The Book Report I wrote
Received an “A”
I believe because
I trashed the book
Question why it was assigned
As it was a tedious read
Containing statistical
As well as anecdotal
Documentation
Of its unreadability
Or more likely because
He was hung over
After the football team
Beat our traditional rival.

It is undoubtedly true. At times I doubted that we would pull through.
Remember this: Although the journey is difficult, within site is destiny.

Not far from the banks of a large and winding lake, about a mile away from where my bride's life story began, is where there stands a little country church. It's where the two of us presently worship.

For documentation, both the Android and iPhones were there.
The parishioners sat patiently in the pews to witness.
The mistress of ceremony conducted us faithfully.
And the minister officiated and prayed for us.
And then, there we were, my bride and me,
renewing our wedding vows after 50 years.

I realize that it truly is history, but still at times,
it all seems a big mystery. Notwithstanding, I spend
no time in wonderment about where all the time went.
The decades of time are swallowed up inside our hearts,
and there it shall dwell until the two of us in our race
toward oneness in marriage have turned to dust.

The mystic of marriage is the pursuit of two becoming one.
Such mathematical feat does not make sense for mortal man.
Yet, since Adam and Eve, that has been God's Divine plan.

My bride and I said, "I do" in 1972, and we said it again Sunday, in 2022.
Through mountains of gain as well as through valleys of pain, our love has
remained. Albeit, so much has changed. And yes, it's most certainly true.
Our beautiful bodies have been totally rearranged. But our love remains.

Our God has been so very near and awesomely dear. In spite of our own
fears and tears, it is His Grace that has gotten us here. We always thrive
to do our best, but the secret is out no less. I tell you. The secret is this:
There is no gold at the end of the rainbow, and my bride and I have not
nor will we reach marital perfection.

Premium Member LIFE OF A POSTMAN

Starts with the morning rise
Breakfast to energize
Head straight to the Post Office
The day begins with sorting the mail
Daily without fail
Preparing to deliver
The creed being neither rain, snow nor sleet
A Postman documentation to keep
No matter what, the mail is always a proceed
Eyes on residence and business
Everyday being the postman’s witness
Mailbox leverage
Mail and packages
Delivery precise
Chased by dogs
Working even in outdoor fog
Day in and out
Deliver mail until done
This is the Postman sound
Back to the Post Office bound
Days end
Same routine the next day once again.

Premium Member Lost Report Card Down the Sewer Drain--

As a child I was walking home from school one day;
It was a rainy spray;
A direly day;
We have gotten our report cards;
As kids we were running home;
In and out up and down;
Crossing the streets;
At the corners peak;
Running hard and fast;
Trying not to get wet;
Out of my pocket fell my report card;
I'm crying because I dropped .......
Down a storm drain, gone forever;
Are the written documentation of my first A's and B's;
Report card;
That fell out my pocket
In the rain
fallen lost wet  down inside the storm drain;

With the Rain

With the Rain…

Every day is in documentation
Getting it out
Getting it down
Read, if even for one moment
And find something that you can believe in
A solid thought
From a scattered mind

No tomorrow without tonight beforehand
The time will come
But not to rising sun
Seeing, the clouds of rain
That place your spirits in a dampened state of array
A melancholy heart
Speaking without thinking

Growing tired, growing weary
Always as I near the pages end
No endless novel, I’m too far restricted
From going that deep into character, my dear friends
Little gems of thought and emotion
That must rain from me; onto you, all of you…

Premium Member Should the Levee Ever Break, Act 1, Scene 1, Part 1

The authors and their associates wish to offer an enthusiastic round of applause to The Bywater Bone Boys Social Aid and Pleasure Club for their gracious hospitality and inspirational charm.

Welcome gentle enthusiasts of theatrical illusions and histrionic fantasias. We of the acting company, including principals, chorus, stage crew and assorted hangers-on, take delight in your presence during our current stand under arms.

As it is commonly accepted in the developed world that all sophisticated theatergoers embrace an inherent desire to remain consistent with the norms of congenial social behavior when sitting beneath the unblinking eye of public scrutiny, management requests that you please observe a few sensible restrictions while enjoying today’s feature presentation.

Restrictions, being defined as the limitation or control of someone or something, or the state of being limited or restricted, as determined by municipal ordinance and local custom, shall remain in effect throughout the duration of the entire performance.

Special-needs patrons will be accommodated according to modifications set forth in appropriate documentation that carries the force of law. Non-compliance will not be tolerated. There will be one fifteen-minute intermission during which relevant stakeholders will receive formative evaluation rubrics to document the results of item analysis.

Only flash-less photography is permitted. You must remain at least partially clothed at all times during the performance. No bullying will be tolerated, and you do not need to ask for permission to go to the bathroom. Now cross your knees and avert your eyes. The show is about to begin. Laissez le bon temp rouler!

To Be Quite Frank

A simple girl
But not really
Big ideas
Called silly

Lost in books
Survived by song
Modest looks
Childhood gone

A yellow star
Always, worn
To prove the scar
Jewish born

Her head, high
Her family frowned
She knew, not, why
It should be down

The day came
When everything
She ever knew
Forever, changed

Pulled from school
Denied, goodbyes
Placed in a box
Forced to hide

Lovely locks
Amber eyes
Two fearful years
She stays inside

A life not wasted
She spent her time
Shaping a story
To leave behind

A famous author
Who’s documentation
Tugged at hearts
Across the nations

To be quite Frank
This girl, named Anne
Wrote the history
We understand

Give to me your sadness and I will give you joy
that you may know this the gift that our God employ
like the morning dew that lights upon the field
all of your sorrows will to your past be yield

let the light of love be the beauty your heart adorn
the cold and the darkness from your life be torn
be aware that with the gift to calculate the cost
to die unto yourself and impurities be tossed

Oh elusive joy whose flight like bird on wing
where is the happiness that you I hoped to bring
I have sought your face that I might your splendor wear
searching all the hollowed haunts for your loving care

Oh dearth and emptiness where core is desert dry
surround the earth you do and we wonder why
I see mankind starving who do not feed on truth
without the microscope see mans dis-ease as proof

The garments that we wear are the mourners shroud
behind us left the glory the love you us endowed
Oh God of Love to your sanctum would I fly
to escape this godless place wherein we all die

The erosion of our souls where exists such vacancy
that distraction of our minds and our complacency
but we like dogs eat our crumbs fallen from your fare
fear to partake the table you have offered share

like on serpents belly slither in the arid dust
lost we have the tracks of whats true and just
our fields do the curses thorns and thistles bare
our poverty of spirit the clothing that we wear

Oh come God of creation , offered freedom from our plight
dispel the gloom and darkness that exists our night
and slave we do in pain for our crumbs of bread
but what is empty cannot give life unto the dead

So few candles left that give us any light
in our weakened states to keep the laws of love in sight
that the price of love is that our life be shed
drink within pure water and upon your tables spread

this is just the prospect view of humanity as a whole
not as individuals who practice affection as a way of
life , after watching the documentation of the
bombings on Nagasaki and Hiroshima I for a day
felt ashamed to be named "human" the shear horror
of the capacity of mankind to terrorize his kin and
use mass destruction as the excuse for peace...
