I’ve been adrift on the sea, a lost soul of ideal inspiration
Tossed asunder amongst realities harsh waves of the incomplete,
A disembarked being, caught at the mercy of a thundering riptide
Of indecision, floundering, drowning alone, with no life preserver
To cling upon!
Rolling waves crashing against my bare exposed mental flesh,
I’ve know the deeply threshing under currents of the starving mind,
Of the uninspired, the de-mused, without imaginations glory,
An orphaned child without thoughts infusion!
Once I disembarked on a sinking craft, a vessel without sail or wind,
Ideally wondering having no true course, or no dead reckonings landing
Point of reference!
A voiceless refuge unable to scream for help, to and fro so did
I just rock upon the waves of homeless, and helpless,
In this self- inflicted imprisonment so did this castaway dwell,
In this empty ocean, alone mariner aboard a sinking ship!
But than a far off light shown, it burned at my blind eyes,
With such brilliance did it so shine, as if by a magic I
Couldn’t understand or comprehended, my tiny boat
Find its way into a safe sheltering port, many open
Hands reached out to this lost soul and pulled me
Upwards towards inspirations dry land!
Voices spoke gently unto me in the whispering winds
Of imagination, your free here, you’ve come home
At last, soar, fly be at peace now drifter, you are welcome
Here amongst thy kindred!
Standing at the dock of acceptance, I turned and watched
My tiny ship torn apart by the hurling waves of change,
Then I realized that many others were still left on this
Ocean of aloneness, and how lucky I was to find my
Way home at last!
I’ve found my place in this big old world at last,
Here where I can express myself,
Amongst others whom have excepted me for myself,
On this island called the internet,
In a cyber-family, amongst my friends and kindred,
I’ve finally come home at last, in a place
Mixed with diversities beauty,
In this poetry soup of humanity!
Here I’ve tried my anchor, no more a wander,
Just a voyager remembering, looking upwards
At an inspirational sky and finally able to bath
In the guiding wake of my own imagination,
And sharing it with others of my own poetic
Experience, thank you for the welcoming,
I’m home at last!

Does it make you sad too that Republicans say
That no man is my 'brother' who won't make me right, (1)
That diversities' bona fides died.
Parties punish a member who won't smoke their 'joint, '
It seems all that they care about's winning the fight,
Not their fault if your conscience gets fried.
World of politics now is a loyalty test,
And debate on the merits becoming passé
For the devil one knows has to win.
Give the devil his due, listening's a lost art,
It seems compromise shouts you're the ponce of the day
For 'both parties to win now's a sin!
So where did we go wrong? One place, Nixon's disgrace!
For the party of Lincoln an act to explain,
(After that public trust, a lost cause) .
And then Kennedy died, Camelot crucified,
'Great society' born on the wave of that pain,
'Brother love' was attempted though laws.
Man's distrust, no concern, it was too much, too soon,
Though the pen may win scrimmage, at last, the sword wins,
For no logic can conquer the heart.
It's utopian plan, write a law, change the man,
Human fate sits uneasy on needles and pins,
For real peace needs goodwill from the start. (2)
I am not saying here that I'm sure that you're wrong,
But I do want in goodwill to caution us all,
Clear in scripture, to love men, serves God.
Yes, to honor your family's part of that task,
But the service of others is how you stand tall,
Independence suggests you're a fraud.

Poet's notes:
(1) Politics is supposed to include "horsetrading! " It is a venerable
tradition in this country and essential for governing to work as it
should. Those, of either party, who demand that their members
follow the parties' desires and not those of the member's
constituents are a new kind of modern day terrorist and have more
in common with the Taliban than with American ideals.
(2) When Republicans announced (without shame)their intention to
sabotage every Obama (Democratic)piece of legislation in principle
(even if they liked it), they committed an act of treason against our
country and democratic ideals in my opinion. May God and the
nation forgive both parties for such crimes and try to deal with the
thinking that brings on such egregious evil so that we might move
forward together!
GOD ABSOLUTELY LOVES COLOR!!!
Have you ever really contemplated the varieties
of colors in flowers, fish, birds, animals even
the beautiful sunsets in the heaven at times?
Then why don’t we appreciate the colors GOD has
made in creating man? Like the little Bible song
that children learned stating man as, red, yellow
black and white they are precious in HIS sight!
How uninteresting Earth would have been had HE
colored everything, black, or white…! Say everything
was black… birds, trees, fish, flowers, animals, even
the sunsets or white, the same way! But, even then
man would have found something other than color to fuss
about… with the devil’s help of course! But don’t be fooled..
this racism is not just man fussing over this, man is getting
fueled by the ole’ devil. He is not at all happy when there
is peace and acceptance, love, and joy among GOD’s creation!
Those of us who are called by HIS name need to
agree together and rise up and put this “racism”
devil on the run and also put him under our feet where
he belongs and let GOD have HIS way! Diversities
among peoples can be a beautiful thing not a divisive,
unfruitful and hateful things but it actually should be
celebrated! I pray that we will keep the devil under our feet in the
coming days! Let’s make a point of loving people even
for their differences!
I will share this one thing that happened to me several
years ago now on a job. I was working with a younger
woman who had what you would call a “potty mouth”.
She used terrible language which really gets
to me. Now, I could have been hateful to her about it
but, instead, I asked the LORD to give me a love for her instead
of anger, and HE did! I brought her over to my home and taught
her how to crochet, and we laughed together and had
a great time. I share JESUS with her to and she really ended
up becoming like my little sister. You see, GOD will do those
things if we ask HIM and if we will do what HE says to do. Anyway
with HIS help, we had love and peace in our office!
Let’s choose, love over hatred so we can have peace
in our country!

I am house shopping
with the required Buyer's Agent,
also a fairly tolerant friend of mine.
She likes to drive
although not gifted with any sense of direction,
until we hurriedly arrive,
then she beelines into the ubiquitously requisite lock box
as if by smell.
Meanwhile
I visit current occupants,
the trees first and foremost,
then bushes
flowers,
occasionally, to my grateful surprise,
an entire garden,
or even just one vegetable,
a tomato plant,
a humble gang of shaded herbs.
I ask them how it is here
in their home.
I like to taste their soil
for signs of pregnancy
but who knows what contaminants
might fester here.
And my real estate agent,
although a friend,
finds it unseemly
for me to put my mouth around
what I probably won't buy.
She, too soon,
coaxes me away from my greet and meets
with shade-givers
and grasses,
the edible and ornamental neighbors
of the "big house,"
to explore the darkness of plumbing
and electrical systems,
attics and basements,
kitchens and bathrooms...
Her list of boring things to look at
and too often smell
in a bad way
feels endless
in comparison to too brief introductions
outside,
speaking with,
listening for,
hoping and faithing and loving with
any signs of life
among these large majority of property historians,
co-investors,
cooperative care-givers and receivers.
Eventually,
it becomes our time to aimlessly wander around
in search of yet another lock box
on our life For Sale list.
I say goodbye to the trees
and shrubs,
my occasional edible
and more popular ornamental hosts,
far too soon
to ever learn
if they would choose me
or not
to become with them.
I feel like I do
on election nights
when winners and losers are announced
by statistical projection
before votes are actually counted
from all us co-investors;
and long before registered voters
have listened to trees
still standing in our yards,
on our farms,
in our fertile forests,
to learn their quieter discernment
of which candidates produce more healthy cooperative outcomes
and which more toxic competitions
within these diversities
of Earth's wealthy nature.

We still shine with glee
As we affixed to a single big tree
Named India

Use your gift to give back to the One who created us all, loved our hearts and assured us of hope – quote by poet
We all, each one, have a gift to share
A gift from heaven, from God
Calling to us from our deepest prayer
A talent from His heart, His grace
A knack for giving back something so rare
It is like we are genius, offering
Joy, hope, peace beyond compare
We all, each on, have a gift designed
To be shared with everyone,
To be given, without remorse, to spellbind
The gentle spirit, the heart and soul
Of those who know that we have signed
A contract with heaven, a vow
To give our ability to the love defined
We all, each one, have a gift of grace
Poured out from God onto our hearts
So that we can always delight to embrace
The heart and soul of those who know
We are giving and will never erase
The wonders of His power, His light
Raining down on us a love to showcase
We all, each one, have a gift of life
To give back to the world all we have
Be it good deeds, artful things, midwife
We can share our gifts with others
Who need to feel the comfort from strife
That comes from believing and achieving
The way to share the promise of the afterlife
We all, each one, have a gift of love
Granted by the Creator who brings us
Each one of us the joy from up above
Reminding us that we are given the chance
To spend our lives with hope undreamed of
Because we’re given the gifts He gives
Even though we might be unworthy of
We all, each one, have the gift He has given
And it is my prayer it is for God we’ll be living
1 Corinthians 12:6. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
You love me, even when I am wrong
A sinner, frail and weak, in search of a song
Reaching out to the joys I sometimes see
In hearts who give without condition or plea
You love me, and it is such a sweet mystery
Knowing that this hope will go down in history
For the wonderous inspiration that fulfills
Imagination and purpose that enlivens and thrills
You love me, in spite of all that I have done
To discourage your love, the embrace homespun
With my worries, struggles and cynicism
All those things that assure my criticism
You love me, although I’m not always endearing
Leaving me with hope that won’t be disappearing
Creating a wellspring of compassion within me
That fills me with assurance that I’m finally free
You love me, and give me grace everlasting
Always securing me so that I never feel contrasting
But always know the beauty of my dreams
Will hold me in a embrace like the soft sunbeams
You love me, calming my worst sorrows and pains
Soothing away the trials that leave me in chains
Breaking away pieces of anguish that destroys my best
Reminding me that I am most assuredly blessed
You love me through the troubles and adversities
Coloring my ideas with passions and diversities
Reflecting on all the faith I have known because of You
The Jesus who taught me to give, live and pursue
Goodness, acceptance, gentleness and meekness
Which come from Him who gives strength in weakness
2 Corinthians 12:9 - And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

The morn dawned bright, with autumnal light,
the cool air was crisp and clean:
overnight snows that fell, as all could tell,
had changed the country scene!
Sounds heard shrill, through air coldly still,
birthed echoes, sharp and long,
whilst the raucous crow, who hates the snow,
cawed out his doleful song!
In sham disguise, Fall will surprise,
with its seasonal turn-around.
Whilst one day is hot, another is not,
so its diversities abound!
The sun rising pale, over hill and dale,
had little of warmth to share.
Much later that day, when skies turned gray,
thick snows fell everywhere.
When the river showed, it too had slowed:
it’s waters starting to freeze.
In a red clouded sky, clouds drifting by:
becalmed, the evening breeze.
When midnight neared, the skies had cleared,
and nature offered thrills.
with Northern Lights, being such wondrous sights,
she banished autumn chills!
When the moon is full, it exerts a pull;
we’re drawn to the great outdoors.
With such delight, seen in the bright moonlight,
we’ll prowl through forest and moors.
After coyote cries, under starlit skies,
put a nervous grouse to flight,
a fox on a prowl, and snowy white owl,
were seen in the moon’s bright light!
Though warmly dressed, we received protest,
from our arthritic bones.
In the biting cold, and becoming old,
they all give forth with groans!
At the sunset hour, when the skies are dour,
we see signs of winter’s ire.
With no time to waste, we return in haste,
to sit by the warming fire.
Such is the way, of a November day,
it’s intent is never known.
Whether cold or hot, and like it or not,
to its foibles we are prone!
