I buy you fake flowers because they are the only ones that last forever
Times promise from me to you, I will never leave your side

To be, or not to be
To do or not to do
To head ahead, or cease
To blossom, to wear out,
To fight, to loose, to stand,
To fall, to rise again, to trust
To grow… to love.
It’s all laid before you,
A day more of your existence
Adds more to the clouded shelf of choices
There is more if it’s a year more

I saw her sitting on the swing by herself. I noticed there was another swing available, so I took it upon myself and joined her, so she wouldn’t be by herself. I knew what that felt like and it wasn’t nice, so I put myself into her shoes, and to my shock they fit just right. I thought well that’s ,weird I’m bigger in age and height. Then, I noticed her clothes they were familiar from my past, but they fit her just right. She also had a beauty mark on her face, in the same place that mine remained. But I shrugged it off and swung my legs to catch up to her pace. She found me shoulder to shoulder sharing the same smile across my face. Our eyes met and the color and shape were exactly the same. Our swings then slowed down and we both stopped. She looked over at me, paused and very low and softly asked why has it taken you so long? With the pressure of tears building up behind my eyes, fighting them back I gently replied, because it took me awhile to face the truth inside. That at some point I allowed the world to break you and I. I couldn’t protect us then, and shield us from what others did and some still do. That even applies to me and you. Because a long time ago I allowed you to feel alone and made you believe you were not worth anyone’s love not even your own. But I was wrong to make us digest ill lies all because of a fear that I grew, since faith was invisible to the naked eye. And my belief that things could change became a distant dream of mine. But we are so valuable and worthy, we deserve love for every breath of ours is deserving, and I hope you know we are loved, YOU and I. . I stopped and waited for her response but she was silent and just stared back at me. It was in that moment I felt a release. It was the heavy weight I had carried that didn’t belong to her or me. She eventually stood up from her swing, and came closer to me, put one little hand on my shoulder and the other on my heart, she leaned in and whispered, without you we wouldn’t have made it this far. She then walked off into a sunset with red and orange hues, she looked back one last time and said I love you, thank you . I immediately felt this jolt of happiness, she was free and I was finally accepting of inner peace.
Hidden Figures are us women living
In a male dominated society
Fighting for a chance
To change our circumstance
With respect and dignity
Recipients of our own destinies
We need to understand
That as hidden figures daughters of the Lord God
We are equal to any man
Yet we are the least likely
To be the protagonist in any story
But as women we are more than capable
Of having a testimony
We need to change the narrative
That men have embraced
That women are just accessories
Who sit pretty in pearls and lace
To them we're just hidden figures
Yet our aura is just as potential
For we are the womb of life
Our presence is most essential
We are competent, courageous and confident
And we'll take every opportunity
Just to show mere men
We have full capability
Hidden figures who must arise
To every occasion
To show that we deserve
Every commendation
No longer to be silent
No longer overlooked nor obscure
Breaking thru glass ceilings
Leaders in industries hidden figures no more
We now demonstrate our abilities
With our God given capabilities
Ready to take on any task
And do it just as well if not
Better than any man
Competent, courageous and capable
No longer hidden
We now boldly stand
Something is holding me back?
Or is it my lack?
Is this wrong or right?
Why am I stuck in this silent night?
What am I now?
Why is the world pulling me down?
Save me before the storm takes me away,
I'm scared, what if I fade away?
Why I am the only one left here?
Is there someone who actually cares?
I'm tired of faking smiles,
And all the lies...
I don't deserve all these,
I can't lose everything please.
I'm locked up in a prison.
All the hate has risen,
But one day I'll break free,
And find that long forgotten real me.
One day, I'll end the reign of wrong,
And start my rule on the place where I actually belong.
One day I'll be the one I was meant to be,
And just believe in the power 'we'.
That one day will arrive soon,
As long as there is still the sun and the moon.
You're such a good and loving God to take such care of me.
Though I don't deserve it, still Your love is free.
You came into a barbarous world steeped in sin's corruption;
A world so vile it seemed to be bent on self destruction.
You laid aside Your Glory and disguised as a simple man,
You bravely entered in the fight to reassert Your plan.
You bought back all who are Your Own, You never flinched or wavered.
You spilled Your Precious Royal Blood to reinstate God's favor.
I wonder now could I withstand what You willingly went through;
And would again for just one man if e'er You needed to.
Could I ever be that brave? I don't think I could.

If only if the stars could speak
